One of my "favorite" art works in modern history is "Shoot" by Chris Burden, in which he litraly got his freind to shoot a .22 caliber rifle at him's arm to " feel what he only experienced visually".
among his other artworks include, holding a tv hostess hostage, getting crucified onto a VW beetle, and making attendants think the building was on fire by showing them a supposed live TV broadcast of the first floor of getting engulfed in flames, among more dangerous terrifying performances
