Did you ever read ultimate Spider-Man? It’s kind of the dna of the rami Spider-Man movies and has MJ as Peter’s first girlfriend in the series.

Sorry I’m just answering this now @avatarconner !!! I loved Ultimate Spider-Man back in the day. It was great for a while until it hit its peak ( there’s only so many stories to tell of Peter in high school) and I was fortunate to have stopped reading it before they killed him off. I especially loved how MJ was his confidant from the beginning.

If the MCU had followed the Ultimate comics instead of stealing from Miles Morales we could have had MJ replacing Ned as the best friend before transitioning into the live interest. What a waste!

You think pyrrha is a morning person? Because I’m writing a fic and I could see her as one of those people who gets up out of bed and then does some push ups to wake up.

i don't think i'd be able to think of pyrrha as anything but a morning person. maybe not naturally, but based on what we do know about her, i think she had a pretty strict training schedule that included waking up early, so she learned to be a morning person.

So this might be an odd ask, but how do you think Cassandra would react to Terry Mcguness as Batman Beyond? (Weird enough the later Batman beyond comics mention all the robins, Barbra, and even Duke, but nothing about Stephanie or Cass. God I don’t think they ever even mention Alfred!!)

I've always been a firm supporter of my favs getting to interact more, so a part of me that is still 14 and aspirational is answering this with an enthusiastic "They'd be besties! Great friends! Perfect team! He does the quips and she kicks the ass!"

Fourteen-year-old me has a strong voice but isn't always the most thought out, go figure.

For what I really think would happen, I would like to imagine that Cass would have a vested interest in Terry. Even if this is a reality where, for whatever reason, she didn't become Batman herself like she wanted to, or at the very least become a different Bat somewhere around the world, the symbol and duties of the Batfamily were exceptionally important to Cass still.

She might be slightly antagonistic at first -- girl can hold a grudge, after all lol -- and be testing Terry physically for the position. Y'know, why's this kid whose entire body language exudes cockiness and a lack of discipline suddenly in charge of the mantle so many have dedicated their whole lives to. But it would also be just as important to Cass for her to see that Terry's heart is his driving force.

She'd probably latch onto him and make herself his personal trainer and secret watcher in a far less antagonistic and deadly role than Lady Shiva once had.

As for why Batman Beyond comics mention every single Robin and Babs but not Steph or Cass:

Cowards.

Also probably somehow related to the DCU Batman Beyond comics being written and directed at first by Adam Beechen, the guy who infamously One Year Later'd Cass originally, and by 2010 he was not really looking to have any project he touched be related back to Cass in any way. And at this point it's just tradition.

I really appreciate that just because emerald switched sides, she’s not instantly forgiven for all the bad shit she’s done. I’ve seen ‘redemption’ stories where that’s actually all it takes and it’s never satisfying. I also appreciate Yang and Jaune both calling her out on it, though I’ll admit I never really thought Yang would associate her to loosing her arm but yeah that does make sense.

Redemption and forgiveness are not the same thing and you can be totally redeemed but never forgiven for what you have done. I honestly think the conceptions of both of those have been so lost in fandom spaces.

To the point I also think there is an issue people have with the idea no one can ever be redeemed or there is somehow a magic point which means someone is redeemed. In RWBY I know I STILL get messages when I have anon on about how “easy” Blake had it and how she should have been “punished” more for the hurt she caused. Just as instant change is unsatisfying so is pushing the idea that no matter what you do and no amount of good can make up for all the bad. But here’s the thing: there is no magic point or some equation for these things. Redemption is about changing yourself and doing better not FOR forgiveness but that it’s the right thing to do. Forgiveness is up to those you have “wronged” and you never owed it.

I still don’t get why Yang never gets the credit she deserves for how smart she is.  :c

I mean I get that the white rose moments have been a little lacking this volume, but I reason that since penny basically cane back from the dead? I get why ruby would want to hang with her a little more than Weiss, I mean if it were me I’d spend every second I could.

There’s no reason Weiss and Ruby can’t have more screen time and dialogue together this volume. Or Ruby and Yang for that matter. 

In fact, Ruby has felt disconnected from her entire team for the last seven or so episodes. If you’re going to tell me they’re “family” then you have to actually show that. 

All the promises Ruby made about being there for Weiss and supporting her in Atlas and they have barely even spoken to one another. 

I don’t like being negative about the show, in fact, I hate it - but the way team RWBY has been written during the second half of this volume absolutely baffles and disappoints me.

Ok the one thing about remind that I call BS on, and considering that this is KH that’s pretty impressive, is that Riku, Kairi, and Presumably Sora, don’t look any older after a year when the last time they were apart for a year? Everyone looked different (KH1 to 2), Kairi’s hair isn’t even longer despite being sleep for a year!!

This is Ventus, age 16, Aqua, age 18, and Terra, age 20.

Four years earlier, Xehanort has ripped Vanitas out of Ven’s heart forcefully and Sora has mended Ven’s heart.

This is Ventus, age 12, Terra, age 16, and Aqua, age 14.

They just didn’t make separate models. Sure, you can argue this was for the PSP and it shouldn’t be a problem for the PS4, but this is just a DLC. Nobody knows if the characters will stay the same in the next game or if they will get an design overhaul once more. An anon even suggested that Kairi is in a timeless sleep, similar to Ventus, so she and Sora stay the same age (with Riku apparently aging?).

You also have to remember that the Destiny trio already changed a lot physically. Riku very well could be 17 or even 18. Sora and Kairi look quite younger than him, to be honest, but they’ve always had softer features and still matured a lot compared to their old designs.

Whatever Nomura plans to do with them, their look in the Re:Mind DLC isn’t the be all-end all. I will admit that Sora’s model seemingly underwent changes for the secret episode, but that might be messing with the engine and how powerful it is and how to get the effects the team wants with Versus the next KH title.

Ok whenever I see blight sora? My brain for some reason thinks of Revan from KOTOR. A good guy who fell to darkness after fighting it for song? Plus KH and Star Wars do share some similar themes...

Sadly I have not played KOTOR (yet), but from what little I know, I think KOTOR could be a really great source of inspiration for Blight Sora like you said. And you’re absolutely right, KH and Star Wars do share a lot of themes. I got some serious Prequel Trilogy vibes from Birth By Sleep with Terra’s fall to darkness, and Mark Hamill voicing Eraqus was the icing on the cake!

Mummy AU is a legit great idea for hoccsyrid, Hiccup being a clumsy, acentric librarian that works at The museum his father owns, works along his annoying but good intentioned cousin. Finds the key, accidentally burns the map to hamunara, goes with snot on a secret expedition after paying for astrid’s freedom. Awkward O’Conner romance ensues.....oh my god this thing just writes itself......holy shit you could do all three movies if you wanted......emphasis on ‘if’.
