Every time I see someone make the statement that Coryo didn't love Lucy Gray, I kind of...Like, I don't disagree with the statement I think they're trying to make, but I don't think the emotion of being in love needs to necessarily be moralized? That's probably a weird way to phrase that, but I basically mean that the feelings he had toward her, while notably possessive and controlling, were affectionate in a way that he experienced as love, and I don't know that it's productive (or, idk, as interesting) to say "It isn't true that he felt love" when one could instead say "Whatever he felt for her wasn't an excuse."
(This is kind of the same as the "Thanos sacrificing Gamorra" situation, where some argued that the "love" of an abusive person shouldn't be treated as actual love, and others argued that love isn't inherently selfless and drawing a distinction where there is either love or abuse just means that any demonstration that the abuser is experiencing the emotion of love seems to negate the abuse. Which is not me saying anything for or against how the Thanos and Gamorra situation played out, but I think the argument is similar.)

Okay, I need to vent about the new Thor: Love and Thunder trailer/movie.
Do any other Loki fans…just want to cry when you see the trailer?
I just…I don’t know how to prepare my heart for a Thor movie without Loki in it.
Don’t get me wrong, it looks like a fantastic movie. I’m sure it’ll be really good. But…thinking of a Thor movie without Loki in it just brings tears to my eyes.
As a Loki fan I was very excited for the Loki show. I was beyond mad when they killed him in an out-of-character way for pure shock value, and was—while apprehensive—excited that he’d come back, and marvel would redeem themselves. And I was especially excited because I was sure this would mean he could indeed be in the next Thor movie after all.
But then…they didn’t redeem themselves.
By the end, I kind of hated the Loki show. I get that it was well-made, but they completely didn’t understand Loki’s character, and then they treated him like every other version of him was better than the one we love, instead of understanding why we love him in the first place. And while I wouldn’t say they ruined his character, because I still have the other Thor movies to return to…they certainly did something to his character in the show that I deeply disliked.
One of the many things I disliked about the Loki show was…it felt wrong for Thor (or any Asgardians) not to be in it. The Thor movies have never been about just Thor, and there’s a reason there hasn’t been a just-Loki movie before. Their stories, their journeys, are integrally intertwined. It didn’t feel right for Loki to have a journey, especially a redemption arc, Thor wasn’t a part of.
And it doesn’t feel right for Thor to have a movie without Loki in it.
And I just know they’re not going to address it. They’re not going to have Thor missing, or grieving, or simply remembering Loki. At most they’re going to mention him as the butt of the joke, putting him down.
I want to go see the movie but, I’m afraid I won’t be able to enjoy it because I’ll just be thinking about how Loki isn’t in it the whole time, and I’ll just feel sad and resentful.
Everything they’ve done to this amazing character…it just hurts so much, and makes me so mad.
I want to do something to get over it. Like, I’d love to write a fic “fixing” the Loki show but…it’s so broken I don’t even know where to start. What to change. And even if I did… I doubt I’d manage to finish. And I definitely wouldn’t finish before the movie.
Any other Loki fans in the same boat?

Reacting to Other People’s Theories 2/?
So this theory comes from Pinterest, and I’m sorry, but I do not have a source for it. And I’m disproving this one, anyway, so.
Loki uses his left hand in The Dark World when he fakes his death and in Infinity War when he tries to stab Thanos.
The theory here is that Loki’s illusion self uses his left hand, while his true self uses his right hand, as shown in a scene Ragnarok. And therefore he faked his death in Infinity War when he stabbed with his left hand.
Sorry, gonna go with no on this one, folks. Aside from the fact that I’m too lazy to double check that any of this is true anyway (and also I’m finally rewatching Guardians 3 now that it’s available on Disney+ and it’s my second favorite Marvel movie so like hell am I stopping my sixth viewing for research), he’s shown in Ragnarok and elsewhere using two knives. So he’s able to use his knives in both hands. He may be ambidextrous in general, or he’s just skilled enough to use his knives with both hands. So I don’t think this theory holds any water, because he’s been shown several times to be able to use his knife with his left hand as his regular self.
I want proof as much as the next person that he didn’t actually die when he tried to stab Thanos (see my post on how I want Loki season 2 to end from yesterday), but I think that neck snap was real unfortunately. It doesn’t mean he won’t come back, it just means that wasn’t an illusion at that point. Because he’s capable of using left hand anyway. His illusion uses his left hand, because he’s able to use his left hand for real. (Remember, he convinces Thor that he died in The Dark World. I think Thor might notice if he’s suddenly able to fight with his left hand when he was never able to do so before.)

Big question -
WTF MARVEL/FEIGE???WTF??????
And will the righteous ire of the Stephen Strange fandom be enough to change the ridiculous course that you have him on?
WTF Marvel/Feige??????
First, you gave his sequel to the antagonist while reducing Stephen to being lovesick rather than the strong freaking TITULAR character of his own supposed movie.
Then you completely reverse his character development from What If...? Season 1, turning him into exactly what MoM Reed Richards told 616 Stephen that he was.
It appears the only correct treatment & love and FREAKING ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF STEPHEN AS THE TRUE HERO THAT SUFFERED 1,500+ YEARS MISERY IN ORDER TO RESTORE THE 616 UNIVERSE IS GOING TO COME FROM...
