Steve: “Ouch…”
Pepper: “Oh, god.”
Dad Tony: “Don’t you talk to me that way, Miss Smart Mouth! You just bought yourself a ticket to your room.”

A angst request where tony stark visiting his little sister reader in the hospital, stage 3 Leukemia cancer. Tony tells her about everything including being ironman and his team. Sister stark! reader gets to meet his team
Nice surprise
a/n- the end was a bit rushed but i am currently going through my drafts
Tumblr media
Tony sat at his desk zeroed in on a mission a report that he’s set off to the side for weeks and weeks, not worried about if another shield agent called his phone asking for the mission report like some landlord begging for rent, but that was ok because Tony never really worried about much, the reasoning behind this was because he had pretty much all the money in the world to fix whatever issue that popped up. That was until that one call from the hospital when the doctor said his little sister had Cancer and there was pretty much nothing he could do about it except hope for the best. That was a problem money couldn’t fix, well he tried anyway, paying for all of the treatments known to mankind but still no positive result occurred.
When Tonys mind drifted to the thought of his sick little sister, FRIDAY suddenly came on “Mr. Stark you have a call from doctor Reyes” Tony suddenly shot up from his seat. That was your doctor, did something go wrong? What if something terrible happened to you? Tony took a deep breath and paced around the room.
“Put him on speaker friday.”
“Yes, Mr. Stark”
Suddenly the doctors familiar voice echoed around the room
“Mr. Stark I have good news and bad news about your sister” The doctor spoke firmly but Tony could hear the nervousness in his voice as the doctor spoke.
“Give me the good news first Reyes”
“Good news, we have been seeing improvements from the treatments, and we think if she can fight it off a little longer before she gets to stage four, we might be able to get most of the Cancerous cells out of her body before they spread even more.”
Tony sighed and smiled a little bit, he was glad there was going to be a little light in this situation, so that it would give him hope that the bad news wouldn’t be as bad as he thought it would be.
“I am very relieved to hear that doctor Reyes, and what about the bad news?”
“Unfortunately, your sister has moved on to stage three leukemia cancer, and who knows how long until she gets to stage four, but we were hoping you could come in and visit her. She took the news pretty hard and has asked to see you all day today. I think it would make her day but we do not want to hassle you Mr. Stark, we know you are a busy man.”
As soon as the doctor said that you’ve asked to see him all day, Tony was already halfway putting his jacket on and out the office door, Tony quickly respond with “Thank you doctor Reyes, I will be there in about ten minutes”, once the call ended, Tony practically sprinted out the front doors of the compound, rushing to his car quickly.
When Tony pulled into the parking lot of the hospital, he was able to gather himself again. As many times as he visited you, it was hard, harder than almost everything else he’s ever done or fought, but he had to have hope for you because Tony loved you with his whole heart, you’re some of his only family left, his rock, the one person that stuck beside him when everyone else left. He pretty much couldn’t live without you.
Tony checked into the hospital counter and signed his name on the visitor sheet, and made his way down the hallway, with a teddy bear in hand and since He’s visited you one too many times, he practically knows the hospital like the back of his hand.
Once Tony gets to your room and opens the door slowly, he sees you look at the direction of the door and you shoot up from your bed happily “Tony!! I missed you, what are you doing here?” Tony chuckled and bent down in front of your bed to give you a hug. “Hey kiddo, I just came by to see how you were doing, I missed you” Your mood seemed to drastically change when he said that. “Doctor Reyes told you to come didn’t he..” Tony stopped and sat down in the chair next to your bed and held your hand.
“Yes, yes he did but that does not mean I don’t want to see my favorite little sister, I love you okay?”
You seemed to crack a smile that made Tony's grin light up also “I’m your only little sister”, you responded with a bit of laughter in your voice
“Exactly, and I wouldn’t have it any other way”
Silence seemed to take over the room as you finished up your multitude of questions for your brother, Tony seemed to have one of his own, he then asked “If you would want to do anything in the whole world, what would it be?” you smiled and pretended to have a pondering look on your face then answered “I probably would want to meet the avengers, especially Captain america and Iron man”, Tony perked up and grinned and looked around then back to you.
“Well, would you like to hear a really really awesome secret..but you can’t tell anybody okay?” You looked at your brother intently while he spoke and nodded your head quickly, eyebrows furrowed. “Tell me, tell me, I promise to keep it a secret”, Tony smiled then said
“I’m Iron man..”
You looked at him suspiciously and said “Nuh uh, prove it.”, Tony stood up and pushed a button that summoned the suit onto his body then quickly took it off, looking down at you while your eyes were widened in awestruck he spoke “Do you believe me now?”, you looked at him and questions started to flow out of your mouth.
“Does that mean your friends with the avengers?”
“Have you fought any monster aliens?”
“Do you know Captain America?”
“Have you been to space!?”
Tony laughed and pushed you gently so your back was resting against the bed “Yes, to all of those questions, but-”, Tony got cut off right in the middle of his sentence as a feminine voice interrupted “Um, I am so sorry to interrupt but visiting hours are now closed, if you would be kind enough to make yourself out, thank you”, Tony nodded and went over to your bed to give you a quick peck on your head and whisper something in your ear, and you seemed to nod excitedly at the information spilled to you.
The next day Tony had made arrangements to make a perfect visiting time and clear all of the other avengers schedules for you to meet them, he knew this would mean a lot to you and he was going to do everything in his power to make sure this was perfect.
Tony got to the hospital with two other cars following him, all the avengers known, packed in three cars and he couldn’t wait to see the smile on your face, Tony then spoke “I’m sorry I had to disturb anyone's plans, but I know this would mean a lot to my sister, she’s just a kid that got handed a rough hand”, Steve responded with a sympathetic look on his face and responded “it’s really no trouble Tony, we’ve all agreed that we would do anything just to make it a little bit better for her” the others around him seemed to nod in agreement “but still, thank you all”, Steve smiled back “anytime Stark”.
While walking into the hospital, and checking into the visitors sheet seemed to take twice as long, Tony knew the look on your face would all be worth it. As they all stood in front of the door to your room he opened it slowly and you popped up quickly.
“Tony! You’re back!”
“I am back, but I have some friends with me also”
You tilted your head, until room people walked through the door and you gasped with a wide grin on your face.
“Thank you Tony! You’re the best big brother ever, I love you so much”
Tony went over to hug you, and all the avengers watched in awe at how loving their boss could be, but soon enough they all sat next to you, ready to answer any questions that you may have had, and they all stayed until visiting time was over, while you were sad they had to leave as they gave you their goodbye hugs. The only person in the room left at the end was Tony, as he came over and sat next to you. You felt your eyes tear up and gave your brother a tight hug then spoke
“Thank you Tony, you really don’t know how much this means to me, I love you”
“I love you even more, but I always want you to know that I would travel the moon and back for you”

Christmas at the Compound
Avengers x reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Avengers x reader Christmas head cannons because I am a sucker for the found family trope.
a/n: I tried to get this up before christmas but totally spaced it, so… tale it as a christmas morning gift! I tried to make it as age neutral as possible, so it could totally be teen!reader or not.
The holidays are a tough time for the Avengers.
Most of them have lost family members or friends, and the idea of celebrating anything is extremely difficult.
Tony especially - he always gets gloomy around the Holidays.
He always says something along the lines of, "I don't actually care about this, but its social convention."
But secretly he cares a lot.
He overcompensates for his lack of affection throughout the year by buying everyone the expensive gifts he knows they want but could never justify spending on themselves.
At surface level, it just seems like “oh rich guy is spending rich guy money”
But they’re actually really thoughtful gifts
Like last year, he got Peter a new laptop for school.
He bought Bucky new and thick clothes since all of his were old and worn.
He upgraded Clints cellular data so he could talk to his family anywhere.
Things like that.
Sam and Rhodey take one for the team and string the christmas lights on the tower
“It’s too cold for this.” Sam would complain, the sharp wind nipping at his cheeks as he flew from one end of the building to the other, lights in tow.
“Come one man, where’s your christmas spirit?” Rhodey would laugh
“I’m just doing this so stark’s power bill goes up.”
it really was worth it seeing the tower lit up top to bottom though
Wanda LIVES for commercialized American Christmas
"We have to make gingerbread houses and go to Rockefeller to see the Christmas tree and we have to go out to the snow and go sledding-"
She demands family Christmas photos be taken, even though you don't really have anyone to send them to.
This years theme was christmas pjs
Which lead to a few very interesting viral videos of the avengers in an Old Navy
“Tony come on the reindeer ones are cute!”
“Bruce. A man can not hold onto his masculinity while wearing pjs with dancing reindeer.”
Natasha gets tired of the bellyaching and bickering and makes the final decision
She grabs everyone’s size in the Reindeer pjs and marches to the front of the store
After snagging Tony’s credit card, of course.
Actually taking the picture is a whole other ball game, but that’s a story for another day
Thor has a hard time with the idea of Santa
You try to explain it to him, but it doesn’t seem to help
“So a fat man breaks into the safety of your home late into the night… and you let it happen because he comes baring gifts?”
“Well… yeah.”
“But only to nice children. That he stalks throughout the year.”
“He doesn’t stalk the children he just…”
“Hm.” He squints. “what about the naughty children?”
“They don’t get any presents.”
“OR,” Wanda interjects, “Krampus comes to get them.”
“Is that another fat man in a red disguise?”
“No. He’s a demon sent from hell to eat them.”
Thor nods in approval. “Ah. That’s much more asgardian. A fair reward system for the youth!”
You stare at him. “So… you’re okay with Krampus but not Santa?”
“Well I think they work together well, like a team. Like us!”
“I… I guess…”
Decorating the tree was an all night event
You would help happy bring up what felt like hundreds of boxes of christmas decorations
The tree itself was about 15 feet tall, because it wouldn’t be a holiday at the compound if you guys weren’t extra
It was placed in the living space, right next to a huge wall of windows so all of New York could see your festivity
it had to be decorated to the nines to pass Wanda’s inspection
Not a bare branch
Theres tinsel, ribbons, colorful lights, and hundreds of ornaments
But of course, ladders were a no go
You guys liked a challenge
To reach the higher branches, you and Natasha would stand on Steve and Buckys shoulders
And I mean stand
Not sit
It was a thrilling balancing game
You trusted them to catch you if you fell, but you still had to try to avoid it at all costs to save the tree from certain destruction
Peter would dangle from the ceiling, crawling around to hang ornaments toward the very top
Both of these acts nearly gave Bruce and Vision a heart attack
“CAP, you’re moving to fast shes gunna lose balance-“
“Bruce, please take a breath.”
Meanwhile Thor is getting distracted by all the ornaments and forgetting to actually hang them up
“This one’s a little man of snow! How silly!”
Speaking of ornaments
You all have an ornament of yourself on the tree
Or, your super hero alias at least
There’s a tiny black widow, a little iron man, a bity baby hulk, so on and so forth
Tony always demands his be the highest up on the tree to fuel his god complex
Drawing names out of a hat to see who got to put the star on top of the tree
(except you guys would always rig it behind Wanda’s back, only putting her name in the hat)
She would always protest, insisting to let someone else do it this year, but you guys never relented
So with a big cheesy grin on her face, she would use her magic to delicately place the star on the tippy top
You would think Natasha wouldn’t want to see the Nutcracker Ballet after her time in the red room
But it makes her so happy to see dancing as an art form instead of a way to brainwash young girls
She drags you, Clint, Wanda, and whoever else wants to tag along every year
She even splurges on front row seats
You look over and see her eyes glittering while she watches every turn, leap, and stunt intently
Leaving the theater, she’ll walk on her toes and do a few turns, encouraging you to try as well.
She ends up cackling watching you trip and stumble
“We’ll work on it.”
Can you IMAGINE the ginger bread making contest???
You’re all huddled around the long dining room table with christmas music playing
Theres Clint and Natasha, who just make the classic gingerbread house, no fancy bells or whistles.
Then there’s Bruce,Tony, and Peter who are going absolutely wild building gingerbread sky scrapers and gingerbread hotels.
“Mr. Stark look, I made a working elevator!”
Bruce puts an electric system (fairy lights) through his
Steve and Bucky rebuild their childhood homes
Wanda is going all out, delicately hand placing every candy and covering the whole thing in edible glitter
Visions is pretty similar, but more sleek and modern than Wanda’s
And then there’s Thor, who’s totally missing the point and just DUMPING everything on top
“Hey Peter, I think yours is missing something.”
You string a long thread of white rope candy from his structure to yours.
“Webs!”
“You know… we can probably make a web-like consistency with some starch and frosting…”
That becomes a whole sticky project, but you eventually get it to work, connecting everyone’s gingerbread houses with icing webs
Steve and Bucky are TOTALLY participating in the classic christmas traditions they grew up on.
They sit quietly together in the living room, making paper chains and stringing popcorn
“Do you mind if I join you guys?”
they smile gently. “Of course not.”
You sit crisscross in front of the couch while they teach you
They tell you stories of christmases long, long ago, which feels kinda silly considering they’re talking like grandpas while not appearing much older than you
On Christmas eve, you’re all there except for Clint, who went home to his family
Youre all dressed in your pajamas from the christmas card
You make hot coco and cider
Wanda pops in some old vhs tapes and you watch the classics late into the night
“Alright you nutcrackers,” tony would say around midnight. “I know you want to stay up and catch Santa, but he’s not coming if you all stay awake.”
he really just wanted to go to bed
He sauntered off, calling for lights out.
Most of the boys wandered away to their rooms, leaving you, Wanda, Nat and Thor not quite ready for sleep.
“So,” you ask, taking a sip of coco, “Do you guys think we’re on the naughty list?”
Natasha Chuckled. “I’m not sure. Does beating people up count as naughty if you’re taking down the bad guys?”
Thor set his mug down on the coffee table, the bells on his sweater jingling. “Do not fear ladies, I will catch that nasty Krampus if he comes in to devour your soul. I believe you were doing the right thing.”
You all laughed, thinking he was joking. But he just stared at you.
“Thor… you realize Krampus and Santa aren’t… real?” Wanda asked.
He had a hard time swallowing that.
He ended up sleeping on the couch “just in case”
you woke up at 3 am to a loud clattering coming from the living room
You decided to check it out against your better judgement
There was Thor. Hammer in one hand, cookie in another.
Down the hall toward the elevator was a completely destroyed life-size nutcracker.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“I thought I heard something by the elevator.”
“Congratulations. You murdered the Nutcracker.”
“I feared he was an accomplice of the holiday demon.”
“He’s been there for weeks!”
“He could have been a spy. Or possessed.”
“Goodnight Thor.”
Christmas Morning finally arrived
Everyone was sleeping soundly in their beds
Until Sam decided to be a little shit and wake everyone up at 7 am
He pounded on every. single. bedroom door.
“Y/NNNN. SANTA CAME TO TOWNNNNN.” he sing-songed
“No he didn’t.” You grumbled. “Thor killed him.”
“… I don’t know what that means.”
You all stumble out into the living room
Natasha took the time to actually run a brush through her hair and do her morning skincare
You and wanda were far too excited and skipped over that completely, barely remembering to brush your teeth
Tony looked the roughest - he had a silk robe draped over his pjs and looked like he was just awakened from a coma
Essentially, everyone was a little disheveled
Vision made everyone coffee before you started the gift exchange
You all sat around the coffee table in a circle so everyone could see each other
Bruce and Steve passed out the gifts from under the tree
it took a solid few minutes, there was a MOUNTAIN of presents
You went one at a time opening gifts
Some people think this is awkward, but you felt it was more genuine
this way, everyone can see the gift and the joy on the receivers face
as well as a million “thank you”s
It also gave time for the giver to explain why they chose the gift they did, whether it be something they remembered you said you wanted, something they knew you needed, or even just a simple “this made me think of you”
In the end, you loved all your gifts
And everyone loved what you got for them
But mostly, you were just happy to spend the holiday with your family

Flirty bully coming your way
Summary: Midtown organizes a school trip at Stark Industries' where the one and only Y/N Stark decides to teach a lesson to Peter's bully.
Warnings: none really, just a tiny bit of language
—————————————————————
Tumblr media
————————————————————
"May, I'm going! See you later!" Peter yelled from the kitchen, quickly grabbing a toast and running towards the door.
"Pete, school isn't for another hour!" May answered, poking her head out of her bedroom door.
"I know, but we have the school trip today and I don't want to be late." He explained, impatiently biting on his toast as he held the door open, ready to run.
May walked into the kitchen, still in her pajamas, looking at her nephew in amusement.
"Alright honey. Be careful, have fun and tell Y/N I say hi!" She smiled at how excited his nephew was in spite of his regular presence in the tower.
"Will do!" The boy smiled to himself at the only mention of your name.
Another reason, and also the main one, to be excited for this trip was the fact that he'd get to spend a whole day with you. Let's just say that between school, patrolling and choosing to keep your relationship a secret from your father, it was getting harder and rarer for the two of you to have some proper time to yourself.
He knew that the whole school was going to take part in this trip, but that wouldn't stop him from finding you the moment he'd get to his destination.
The moment Peter set foot in the school bus, he recognized the friendly faces of his two best friends.
"Hey!" He smiled walking towards them.
"You excited?" Ned asked, already aware of the answer. Peter nodded energetically as he sat beside his best friend, not able to play it cool the way he had planned.
"Hey Peter," A voice called from behind them. It was of a girl that Peter had seen once or twice around the school and who had taken a seat right next to MJ. "is it true that you have an internship at Stark's?"
"Yeah" Peter smiled shyly, not wanting to drag the attention to himself. "No big deal".
"Have you ever met Iron Man?" The girl asked, her eyes filled with curiosity and amazement.
"Well-" The boy begun to answer but was rudely interrupted by the well-known school bully.
"Obviously not. Do y'all seriously believe all the crap that Penis Parker makes up?" Flash laughed loudly, causing his group to giggle along.
"Just ignore him." MJ whispered as Peter's fists clenched. He decided that it was best if he just turned around.
"For your information, Peter has met Mr. Stark countless times!" Ned stood up to defend his friend, completely blowing off Peter's attempt to keep a low profile.
"Oh really? And do tell us, Parker," Flash continued, not willing to let go the matter. "Did you also have the honor to bring coffee to all the Avengers? Or are you exclusively the dog of Mr. Jerk?"
A whole lot of giggles erupted from the back of the bus, Flash' being the loudest. As the boy teased, he started getting closer and closer to Peter's seat, not risking to miss the expression on his face.
The spider-boy's fist started to clench and his whole body stiffened. "Mr. Stark is a perfectly respectable man." He mumbled.
He remembered quite well the time he found himself saving his bully's life, and he hated that he couldn't bring himself to regret it. He was a hero, after all. The only thing that helped him to keep his calm, together with Ned and MJ's words, was the memory of all the words of adulation Flash used to wash Peter's alter-ego with every day.
"Perhaps you even got to shag that hottie of y/n Stark?" He laughed even harder. "I know I would get her in no time." As the last word left his mouth, Peter couldn't take it anymore. He was used to getting insulted over and over again, but when it came to you he couldn't let it happen.
The chestnut haired boy got up quickly, turning to face his bully who was rather close to his seat.
"How dare you-" As words found their way out of his lips trough gritted teeth, MJ pulled his sleeve signaling that he should let it go.
"Oh, what happened? Penis Parker's crush is out of his league? Well, I'm not surprised. If she's breathing, she's already out of your league." And with that said, almost everyone was laughing.
Luckily enough the driver's voice interrupted their conversation.
"Take your seats in silence, this isn't an amusement park." He scolded grumpily.
"Heard that, Eugene?" MJ mockingly raised her eyebrows as the boy huffed, walking back to his seat.
Peter's eyes were still seeking revenge for all the years of bullying that had piled up, not being able to forget a single insult Flash had ever said to him. But this. Insulting Mr. Stark, insulting you- it was too much.
Ned slowly pulled him down to sit again. MJ's voice got close to Peter's ear, so that she wouldn't be heard by the girl sitting next to her. "You know how much I'd enjoy watching you completely disintegrate that guy but even so, it'd be useless. You'd just get in trouble. You won't prove your point because no matter what, you still can't tell him about..." She paused. "You know."
Peter nodded, breathing slowly to calm himself down and decided to patiently wait until they'd get to their destination. He knew his friend was right, so he put in his earphones to help himself ignore his bully.
—————————————————————
The moment the class walked into the tower, following the far too enthusiastic teacher, the head of Mr. Stark's personal security team was ready to examine their backpacks and bags.
When Peter's turn came, he handed the man his backpack that only contained a sandwich for the day and a few other harmless items. Although, the man didn't take ahold of his bag, instead he looked at the boy and gestured him to pass.
"Don't worry Peter, I know you're clean." The man almost smiled.
"Thanks, Happy." Peter smiled, slightly embarrassed at the thought of the whole school watching. Some of the students who were closer and had witnessed the scene gave Peter a confused look to why Mr Stark's head of security would know someone like Peter Parker.
"Internship." Was all the boy said shrugging slightly, although it came out more as a question than as an explanation.
"Alright, let's move towards the elevator everyone! Mrs Potts herself will say a few words in the theatre in a few minutes!" The teacher announced excitedly, freeing Peter from all the stares.
Everyone made their way to the elevator, getting into the room-sized platform.
"Now, the theatre is floor 25. Or -19. Or maybe it's 44. Oh God, so many buttons!" The man quietly freaked out to himself while the rest of the class chatted about how unreal the experience felt.
"It's on floor 3, Mr Wilson." Peter spoke up. Mr Wilson looked at the boy with a puzzled expression, as if to say 'and how would you know that?'
"Mr. Stark always gathers his interns in the auditorium when he needs to announce something." Peter explained shyly. It was a lie, but no one needed to know that. The teacher sent him a grateful nod, then pressed the button that would lead them to the huge room.
As everyone took a seat, a woman appeared in the middle of the large stage. Starstruck eyes were all Pepper could see from her position, explaining the rules of what can and cannot be touched during the upcoming tour.
"Now, to make sure your experience here gets as pleasant as possible you'll be divided in groups for the tour, each one of which will be guided by a different referee. We'll alternate three groups at the time in each room. As I call your name please step on stage." Pepper started reading from her binder some names, causing several people to climb the stage.
Once everyone was settled into their group, - Peter ending up with both his friends and Flash - Pepper casually added "Alright, now your tutors for the day. For group number one, two and three we have Mr Clinton Barton, Dr Bruce Banner and myself. The following three groups will be following Miss Wanda Maximoff, Mr Stark and Mr Sam Willson. And last but not least, the remaining groups will be guided by Mr Steve Rogers, Miss Natasha Romanoff and Miss y/n Stark."
The moment these words left her mouth, cheers and screams erupted from each group. Not long after, Steve entered the stage followed by the others. The moment girls saw him in his suit, they were all about to rip their hair off, screaming and jumping.
You were sipping your coffee, ready to head on stage once you'd have finished.
After properly introducing himself - not that it was needed - Cap spoke up. "Alright, shall we get star-" But a loud noise cut him off, causing everyone's heads to shoot up toward the now open ceiling.
Iron Man's suit descended slowly from above them, causing Pepper to pinch the bridge of her nose and shake her head in frustration. After placing itself on the ground, the red and golden armor shot open revealing a formally dressed Tony Stark. "Starting without me, are you Cap?"
"You're late." Steve replied in a straight face.
"Forgive me for wanting to make an impression. Grand entrance, ever heard of it?" Tony's voice dripped with sarcasm as he adjusted his tie.
"What a showoff." You exclaimed as you too walked on stage, earning glances and causing loud whispers to rise.
"Alright everybody!" Pepper tried to reinstate order before the situation could worsen. "Let's get started. Stick with your group and your Avenger and...have fun!" She smiled in frustration, sending the groups off to the tour.
—————————————————————
"Hey Cap!" You smiled batting your eyelashes at him the way you always used to do when you needed something. "Looking good today!"
"What do you want y/n?" He playfully rolled his eyes as he waited for the group to tag along.
"You see...I couldn't help but notice that...well, Peter's in your group. I was wandering if maybe we could-"
"Switch?" He completed your question. "Not in a hundred years of life."
"I only have eight more to go then, so you'll be 101." You chuckled, causing him to join in.
"You know what? Alright. But my eyes will be on you two the whole time. And if I see something I don't like, I'm telling Tony."
"Roger that." You smiled excitedly right before hugging him. "Thank you!"
"Now let's go." He giggled as our groups finally came along. You immediately spotted Peter and you sent a quick wink his way after eyeing up and down. You then started leading everyone out.
"Did y/n Stark just wink at you?" Ned asked in disbelief.
"Why are you surprised? I've been talking about her for the past six months, dude." Peter remarked in disbelief.
"I know, I know! It's just- it's real!"
"Wow. Thanks for the trust, man." Peter playfully shook his head in disbelief.
"Don't take this the wrong way but...it's just- she looks so out of you league when you're not in your suit."
"I know." Peter smiled goofily. "She's perfect isn't she?"
"Yeah." Ned nodded, still not able to take his eyes off you. Somehow, you were even more beautiful in real life.
"Man! That's my girl you're drooling over!" Peter whispered then chuckled lightly.
—————————————————————
"And this is where the weapons used to be assembled." You said as you set foot into another room of what used to be a death factory. "Feel free to look around for as much as you'd like. Just- don't touch anything, we really would rather if you didn't blow up." You commented sarcastically, causing Cap to speak up.
He chuckled nervously before sending you a death glare that only made you laugh harder. "She's joking, no one is going to explode…hopefully."
"Anyways, if you have any questions we'll be here." You smile as you watched everyone explore a different part of the room.
"Hey, why don't you let me show you how to actually get a girl?" Flash cockily asked as a smirk played on his face the moment his eyes fell on you.
"Flash, don't." Peter threatened.
"Or what? You'll hurt me?" He challenged in a mocking tone.
"No. But she will."
"Oh please, she's a chick. Watch and learn."
Buzz! Buzz!
Your phone had just gotten a text. You took it out of your pocket and saw it was from Peter.
Pete💘
Flirty bully coming your way...
You
I got this ;)
"I have a question!" An approaching voice caused your head to snap up.
"Yes?" You ask politely as you put your phone away.
That boy must've been Flash, the guy Peter told you about a couple of times. He's a real jerk and Peter's too clever to screw with his strength and powers for someone like that. He knew that if he wanted he could take him out with a touch but Peter grew kind, selfless - and hotter - everyday more, which made you constantly fall more for him, even though you didn't think it was possible.
"Did it hurt when you fell from the sky, angel?" He overconfidently approached you, ready to kiss your hand.
"I can ask my daddy to take you for a fly with his suit and drop you so you feel for it yourself." You snapped with a misleading kind smile before starting to walk by him, leaving an unsatisfied Flash frozen in his tracks.
Before moving onto the next phase of your plan, you leaned to his ear and teasingly whispered "Besides, I've met cuter guys."
You knew that that was a straight up insult to his honor and his ego, and you knew exactly what your next step would be.
"Like who?" He asked, crossing his arms to his chest and raising an eyebrow.
"I dont know, Steve?" You answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world - which it was.
"Thanks, kid!" Cap shouted from across the room, making you giggle lightly. Your move and his response to it confirmed that he, in fact, had his eyes - and ears - on you.
"Don't you need someone more...your age?" He asked flirty, obviously meaning himself.
"Maybe you're right." You smiled mischievously. "There'd be Spiderman..." The moment his alter ego was mentioned, you couldn't help but see Peter's head shoot up in your direction.
"Oh please!" He scoffs. "He's just an arrogant jerk."
At that comment you had to hold yourself back from punching him right in the face - which would have made Nat and Tony proud, for sure.
"You, on the other hand..." You mumbled as your eyebrows shot up. He obviously didn't even get close to get the sarcasm dripping from your words and just winked.
"Well," I continued "when he saved you from that mugging attempt and you kept rambling on about how much of a fan your are, it seemed quite the opposite." You cockily comment while sarcastically inspecting your nails.
"And he's a liar, too." He snapped after a couple of seconds, not being able to think of a comeback fast enough to avoid seeming pathetic.
You sighed, trying to hide the amusement given by the situation. "You're right, he can be a bit or a git sometimes. Plus, he's too cocky and definitely too stubborn." You falsely described the superhero, trying to send any suspect away from Peter. "He's just not my type."
Especially since you knew exactly what your next move would be.
"And what is your type, then?" He asked after gulping loudly, trying to keep his confident attitude up.
"My boyfriend." You spoke, although your words didn't seem to intimidate Flash at all. "He has been working here for just a few months but my father loves him! He is sweet, kind, fun, cute, but I still think he's way out of my league." You chuckled lightly.
"C'mon, I doubt there's someone in this universe who's out of your league." He flirted again. "If you show me a closet or something, I can make you forget about him in no time." He was the one now whispering in your ear. As opposed to the effect that you had on him, though, his flirtatious words did nothing to you.
"I'd never want to forget about him. But thanks...Eugene." You simply replied before turning around, ready to walk away.
"How do you-"
"I'm y/n Stark. I see everything. I know everything." You cockily cut him off, then you swung your hips as you walked towards an amused Cap, who was attentively watching the scene, and a smirking Nat, who held out her fist for you to bump yours against.
"And now?" She asked.
"Now it's time for phase two." You grinned, proud of how everything had gone according to plan and confident in the way you were avenging your boyfriend.
"I'm not sure I like the sound of that." Cap admitted. "Closer than three feet and I'm telling your father."
"You better start heading your way, then." You smiled mischievously, causing Cap to sigh and Net to giggle.
————————————————————
"Didn't go so well, did it?" Flash' friends teased him as his ears had gone red out of embarrassment and anger.
"Told you." Peter muttered as he couldn't help but laugh along.
"Excuse me?" Flash turned around to face the boy, ready - as always - to let his anger out on Peter.
"I told you that you couldn't get her." Peter spoke up as a proud grin found its way on your face.
"And you could, nerd?" He asked as everyone started to laugh along again.
The loud laughs and Peter's clenched fists were your cue: time for phase two. You walked straight up to the group, not having to pretend as a lovestruck smile found its way on your lips.
"Flash!" You called sweetly causing him to turn around, a little taken aback from the sudden change in your mood.
"Realized your mistake, doll?" He teased.
"You never told me you knew Peter!" You exclaimed, completely ignoring his question.
"P-parker?" Flash' tone was filled with anger, embarrassment, jealousy and shock.
"Hey, y-y/n. H-how are you?" Peter stuttered, a little embarrassed by all the attention being on the two of you. His smile caused a blush to take over your cheeks.
"Hey, babe. Is that the Star Wars shirt I gifted you? It looks so good on you!" You cheered confidently as your arms found their way behind the boy's neck.
"Thank-" Before he could get out another syllable he was cut off by your lips on his and, although he was taken aback by the action, it didn't take long for him to melt into the kiss. You brushed your fingers through his chestnut curls, signaling to him that it was alright to pull you closer by the waist.
You could have sworn you heard Flash's jaw hit the floor, or everyone's jaw for that matter.
The kiss quickly came to an end when your father's shouting voice echoed through the room nearby.
"They WHAT?"
Damn you, Cap! You thought.
You chuckled and rested your forehead on Peter's for a second as you sarcastically whispered to him "Glad he caught up after only six months."

if you still do avengers reqs, what would the avengers and y/n talk about in the avengers resident groupchat? y/n!stark x peter 🙏🙏
The Avengers Groupchat Would Include . . .
Let’s start off with who’s in this groupchat: you (obviously), Peter, Tony, Natasha, Bruce, Steve, Clint, Wanda, Sam, Thor, Scott, Vision & Carol (Rocket was in the chat but he got kicked out, Ayo’s in there but she doesn’t chat much, Nebula would be there but she doesn’t get how to use a phone, Rhodey has better things to do than be in there)
Let’s be honest, Carol did not see the sense in her being there because there’s not gonna be WiFi throughout the galaxy.
“LTE, Carol!” — You, probably
Thor also didn’t really get it because there’s not WiFi on Asgard, but he’s too kind to say no
Naming the groupchat was hell. Every second, someone would change it (usually either you, Peter, or Sam) until Tony put his foot down and programmed FRIDAY to make it so no one could change it from “Avengers”
Natasha’s usually the one who sends reminders about training
Steve will send reminders about meetings
Lots of pictures of each other are sent, mostly when they don’t know photos are being taken of them
The conversations range from someone asking what people want from the grocery store (Scott goes on grocery runs) to fierce debates over who’s the better fighter (It’s Nat, no one can beat her in sparring)
Tony will ask you and Peter if your homework is done (which you both annoyed, then Natasha yells at you)
It’s best to silence the notifications because they’re too, too much
Regular FaceTimes are a thing even though you’re usually all in the same tower
“Thor, your video cuts out when you go over Heimdall’s bridge.”
Wanda and Vision usually ask if they can double date with anyone (ends up being Scott and Hope or you and Peter)
Peter will send cute pictures of you that the Avengers ADORE. He’s tickling you? He’s recording a video. You fell asleep? He’s taking a picture.
“Peter, you’re not tickling her right. You have to get her knees.” — Tony
“DAD, STOP!”
Clint’s kids love to take his phone to chat with the Avengers
And they LOVE chatting with them
“Auntie Nat, when are you visiting!” “Soon!!”
Sam and Peter both send lots of memes
“I don’t get it.” — Steve
Bruce doesn’t talk much but you know who’s a great texter? THE HULK
Hulk is the king of keyboard smashes
“RERRRHDHDHSJSJS”
“Someone get Nat to do the lullaby.”
Hulk has smashed Bruce’s phone on multiple occasions tho
“Should I invent armor for Bruce’s phone?” — Tony
Yelena will steal Nat’s phone to troll the chat
Clint sends updates on his farm
Pepper will confiscate Tony’s phone when he needs to work so she’ll end up chatting
Everyone loves chatting to Pepper
Tony managed to get wifi on Carol’s ship so she’ll send updates from space
Thor tries to text, it doesn’t go great
When badgered by Natasha, Ayo will text
Nebula has occasionally hopped onto the group chat when Peter Q helps her
The group chat was SO ACTIVE when you and Peter went to prom
They were spamming the entire time, asking for pictures and updates and telling ya’ll not to drink
If anyone’s sitting out of a mission (usually you and Peter), they’ll text in the group chat to annoy those who are on the mission
“WE ARE DEEP UNDERCOVER SHUT THE FUCK UP” - Natasha
Getting Nat to swear in the group chat isn’t rare but it is dangerous
ALSO TEXTING STYLES
Vision, Ayo, and Steve text with perfect grammar, short and to the point (Steve has a tendency to go on tangents, though).
Tony’s style switches constantly depending on his mood
Natasha, Sam, Wanda, you, and Peter text with abbreviations and lowercase sometimes
Carol usually sends photos, not many texts. She’ll occasionally send an lol or lmao.
Scott is always cheerful. He uses lots of smiley faces.
Tony will put an ironic amount of obnoxious emojis.
Clint’s tired and his texting reflects that. As short as possible usually.
There’s always something chaotic going on
But there’s also some of the funniest moments
Typos? SAM WILL HARP ON YOU
So will Natasha
The Avengers are a family and they love each other so much, it’s definitely represented in the groupchat

Ties That Mend -Part 1
Tumblr media
TW/CW: Alcohol, Tony's self destructive tendencies, if there's any more let me know and I'll add them!
A/N: This is something I started many years ago, I just never finished it. I'm currently working on the next few parts, I'm accepting suggestions on where this should go too! It's not the best but I hope you enjoy.
Lugging your suitcase behind you, you hesitantly walked into the elevator. You pressed the button that read 'Floor 12' and waited as it made its way up. You were nervous, you didn't want to be here. Unfortunately, being the newest Avenger meant you had to stay at the tower against your will. You were not impressed.
You finally reached your desired floor, before taking a step out. All eyes drifted to your current position and you felt somewhat nervous. They all stood and made their way over to greet you. You extended your hand towards them, allowing them to shake your hand if necessary. A red headed woman was the first to introduce herself. "I'm Agent Romanoff, I'll be your training partner and mentor. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Director Fury assigned you to me for a reason. He deems you worthy, now prove it. As an avenger, you have responsibilities and commitments. We look out for each other, okay? Don't screw up." She warned. All you could do was nod in agreement, your eyes slightly widened. Her face softened and that's when she let out a small chuckle. "You can call me Natasha. I promise, I don't bite. I'm sorry for scaring you."
You relaxed as she took your hand and shook it, before turning to the man that stood next to her. "This is Clint. He's annoying, but you get used to it." She earned a groan of playful annoyance from him before he shoved her. She proceeded to introduce everybody else, until she got to the last few members. "Hey, I'm Sam." He smirked, sending you a wink. You couldn't help but scoff. "And I'm not interested." You shot back before turning to the next guy.
"This is Tony, I’m sure you’ve probably heard of him. He owns the tower, designs the equipment we use. Also, his ego is bigger than his wallet, so be warned." She joked. You turned away from him quickly, forcing your attention on anything else. His face dropped, but he quickly fixed it before the others noticed.
"I'm Y/N." you smiled. "Can somebody show me to my room?" Tony was quick to offer his assistance, but you brushed it off. "Nat, do you mind? I do have a few questions…" she agreed and you grabbed your suitcase, following her closely. Tony sighed, pouring himself a whiskey and knocking it back quickly.
Reaching your room, you thanked Natasha, politely declining her offer of assistance before closing the door behind you. Deciding you would unpack, you emptied your possessions onto the floor. You organised your clothes, placing them in your wardrobe shortly after. Your bathroom was then full of toiletries and you even hung up a few photos. It finally suited your style. By the time you finished, you were exhausted. You just wanted to sleep. Unfortunately, sleep was one of your biggest struggles. If you slept more than four hours, or even slept without a nightmare, it was guaranteed you were becoming sick, which also wasn't very often.
A voice filled your room, alerting you that dinner was being served. You knew it was Jarvis. Making your way to the dining room, a familiar scent filled the air. A small smile graced your face as you entered the room, your favourite meal presented on the table. Taking a seat in between Bucky and Clint, you waited until everybody else had loaded their plate before taking your own portion and tucking in. You ate in silence as conversations erupted around you, each person enjoying the food prepared for them as they socialised with their team mates.
"Y/N, why don't you tell us about yourself?" Steve suggested politely. You hesitated, unsure of what to say. "I-uh, I'm not that interesting. There's nothing really important about me." Tony scoffed, causing everybody to raise their eyebrows and turn their gazes to him. You rolled your eyes before continuing. "What do you guys want to know?"
This time, Wanda was the one to ask. "Is there a significant other we need to know about?” She wiggles her eyebrows in a teasing manner, causing you to blush profusely. After shaking your head, Sam piped up. "In that case, how about you and I get to know each other?" The rest of the team laughed as he sent you a wink.
"Like I said earlier bird brain, not interested." You playfully shot back. His right hand lay over his heart and he feigned hurt, causing you to roll your eyes again. "We heard you're pretty smart. In fact, you have similar knowledge to both Tony and I. It'd be nice to have your input on a few projects if you're willing to?" Bruce smiled. You smiled back, nodding your head and confirming your availability to help. Tony watched you inquisitively throughout it all. "You must've had a real good education. Where did you go?" Bruce asked again.
"I was homeschooled, taught by my father until he passed, my brother until the age of 16 and then my Aunt. By then, I knew everything there was to know. All I had to do was go to college to take the exams, the rest is history." You replied. “Your brother must be an exceptional man. I'd love to meet him one day." Bruce responded. You gave a small nod, brushing off any emotions. Steve spoke up again. "So, do you like jogging?" He simply asked. "I do, I go twice a day. Know any good spots?" You questioned. "Sam and I actually go twice a day too, you're more than welcome to join us." You smiled, thanking him before finishing your food.
"Would you care for a drink?" Thor held the amber liquid out to you. Shaking your head, you declined. "I don't drink." You stated casually before standing up and clearing your plate. The rest of the team did the same and you decided to excuse yourself before they could ask you anything else. You bid them goodnight, walking into the elevator and eventually back to your room. Your nightly routine commenced and you slid into your bed, laying in the darkness until your eyes fluttered closed and you fell into a deep slumber.
You were already awake when Steve knocked on your door at the crack of dawn. He was surprised, but didn't think too much of it. You met Sam in the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water before making your way to the ground floor and exiting the tower into the cold air. It was refreshing, to say the least. A smile graced your face once again as you made your way to the park. Sam thought it necessary to explain the 'on your left' situation and you were glad. Steve ran ahead of you both. You started off slow with Sam, easing yourself into the exercise. Once you got into a rhythm, you sped up and quickly approached Steve who was miles ahead moments before. "Hey Rogers, on your left!" His face was priceless as you overtook him, a smug look plastered on your face. This continued until you were all satisfied with the miles achieved, making your way back to the tower immediately after. "You got heart kid." He complimented as you exited the elevator. You rolled your eyes as Tony came into sight, a glass of whiskey glued to his hand.
"Tony, it's 10 in the morning. Could you not wait?" Sam enquiries. Tony chuckled, knocking back the drink before pouring himself another. "Isn't it too early for you to be on my case?" He shot back rather defensively. You were somewhat relieved when Sam took the alcoholic beverage and disposed of it, snapping Tony out of his self-destructive tendencies temporarily.
You began walking off, eager to jump in the shower to rid yourself of the sweat. The footsteps behind you got closer and a tight grip around your arm stopped you. "Did you put him up to that?" Tony asked rather harshly. You laughed in the least humorous manner. "I didn't do shit, Stark. Let go of me." He refused, roughly tightening his grip as you stumbled back into the wall. "You need to grow up, Y/N." he sneered. "You have no control over me. As far as I'm concerned, you're dead to me,” you announced, wiggling from his grip and walking quickly to your room, slamming the door and locking it.
You kept your distance for the next few weeks, avoiding Tony at all costs. During dinner, the tension was high and it was clear to everybody you did not get along. If only they knew. Of course, Tony was planning to throw another one of Stark's famous parties much to your dismay. You made it clear you would not be attending.
"But Y/N, it's the first party since you joined! You have to come, it'll be fun. Please?" Wanda begged. You shook your head. "I don't drink, nor do I like parties. I never have." You admitted. Tony rolled his eyes at this statement. "If she doesn't want to go, we can't force her." Bruce defended you. "Don't worry Y/N, I won't be going either." You sent him a thankful smile before walking back to your room, leaving them to plan.
A few days later, it was Tony's party. Hundreds of guests arrived, causing the levels of sound to increase dramatically. The DJ let the music blare and the tower practically shook. The whole team dressed to perfection, giving you a smile before going down to the lower level. You sigh, flopping onto the sofa with your laptop as you begin typing out your work. Fury would kill you if you didn't get it in on time. Bruce checked up on you, bringing you a tea and a few snacks to help you focus. He sat next to you, enjoying your company as you spoke continuously about your research. It had reached 11pm when Bruce began growing tired. He politely excused himself, wishing you a goodnight before traipsing off to his room. Many hours later, the rest of the team made their way up. It was clear they were absolutely wasted, their inability to stand was a major hint. You couldn't help but laugh when Clint tripped and Natasha fell down beside him, laughing harder than she usually would. After helping them off the floor, you lead them to their rooms and ensured they were safe in bed before making your way to your room.
Slipping into your pyjamas, you closed your eyes. Unfortunately, sleep did not come. A loud crash caused you to shoot up from your bed, you grabbed your gun and tiptoed throughout the tower until you found the culprit. Tony was sprawled out on the floor, the glass from the now broken coffee table underneath him. You mentally groaned, you did not want to help him. You knew you couldn't just leave him there. You studied his body quickly, discovering a small cut to his face and hand. Reaching down, you managed to pull him up (with great difficulty) and supported him until you reached the infirmary. Throwing him onto the bed, you grabbed a few supplies.
"Get away from me, what are you doing?" He asked, slurring each word. "You're hurt, I'm helping you." You told him. Using the tweezers, you carefully took the shards of glass from the wounds. He winced, trying to pull away but you held him down. Next, you cleaned it. He let out an audible groan but all you did was roll your eyes. It was his own fault, after all. Luckily, it wasn't too deep. You bandaged his hand and stuck a few steri-strips to his forehead, closing the small wound. You were about to move him again, when he stopped you.
"You don't care, why are you helping me?" He asked. You thought for a moment, not looking him in the eyes. "Because if I didn't, who would?" This silenced him. You steadied him on his feet, before throwing his arm over your shoulder as you took him to his room. You lay him softly, taking his shoes and jacket off and throwing his duvet over him. He seemed satisfied as you lay painkillers and water on his nightstand before turning around. Just as you turn the light off, you hear him. "I know you hate me and I'm sorry..." his snores fill the room as you close the door, brushing off his words and making your way back to your room. "Jarvis, wipe all cctv footage." You demanded. "As you wish." He complied. Soon, you fell into a deep sleep.

lives on
Tumblr media
synopsis : even after the death of tony stark, he remains in his two daughters
warnings : tony’s death (i think that’s it), just overall angst with a lil fluf/comfort, unedited or proofread, this idea literally just came to me and i had to write it out ig
Tumblr media
the backyard of starks cabin was filled with superheroes and loved ones, all chatting and laughing about. you could hear sam and bucky playfully arguing around the grill, beers in hand.
bruce, carol, and thor sprawled out talking about their space travels, with thor’s signature loud laugh. inside, pepper and laura were finishing up some of the food. clint and his kids (including little miss kate) were sat in the living room fighting over who gets to play the next round of mortal combat.
all in all, everyone was having a good time. the night was settling down and you and your mother brought out the cake. morgan, who’s been floating around everyone throughout the night was glued to your side, eyes wide and ready to cut the cake.
everyone had gather outside, smiling as you, morgan, and pepper sat around the cake. they started singing happy birthday, some going the more ‘normal’ route while others did their own thing (thor).
“happy birthday to you, tony stark, happy birthday to you!”
you three leaned in blowing the candles while everyone cheered. pepper cut the cake and morgan and you helped pass it around, conversations being picked up again.
“uncle bruce! uncle bruce! look what i can do!” all eyes turned to the little stark as she began to recite all of the elements of the period table. you and your mother watched in awe at the little girl. she reminded you all of him so much.
when you were younger, everyone told you how much you and your father were like twins and now, you could say that about morgan, too.
after reciting the periodic table, and getting a bunch of cheers, she went off to spitting facts about different elements.
“palladium is the 46th on the table, and it’s atomic number. it was discovered by william hyde wollaston, and then, grandpa howard used it to power his arc reactor at stark industries, and then, dad used it for his own arc reactor, but because it made him sick he had to redo the this allll over again, and he had to replace using grandpas notes!”
“that’s right, morgan, good job sweetie!” pepper gave her a kiss on the side of her head. you shook your head at the memories of your dad going of his shit and how (when you finally figured out what was going on) you gave him a lecture of a lifetime.
bruce chuckled, “i’m not even surprised, the stark gene lives on!” everyone laughed, agreeing. both you and your sister were gifted from a young age, just like your father, and as much as you wished he could see it now, like he saw it with you, you know he’d be proud of how his girls were growing up.
your eyes stung, tears creeping up, but blinked them away. this was a time for celebration, no need to cry. glancing over at your family, human, android, god, and all, you were thankful for them all.
happy birthday, dad.

Swim - chapter 1
Tumblr media
A/N: ayyyy finally getting into it! And finally some interactions with spiderman!
Warning- none ^^
Paring- Peter Parker x stark!reader
Type: fluff
Word count: 3.7k
The train wheels shriek loudly, making you cringe at the horrible noice as it was coming to a halt. And as soon as the doors opened many passengers rushed to get out and or in the small cart. Squeezing yourself through them, desperately reaching to the open air and away from the many strange smells of the subway as much as you could.
You stopped just a bit before the exit, it felt like nerves were coming to attack your pitiful mind as you stared through the silver fence at the football field. How you “missed” this place.
Making your way down the metal stairs you glanced at the facility next to you, red bricked prison with white trimming. Honestly you could never figure out how can anyone miss high school, were they living in some derange musical version of it?!
Students walking towards it like sheep, some kids already managing to get pushed around by some assholes. The green grass field was incredible fake, like most people who went here.
The slight noise of steps crossed your music rudely as your y/e/c eyes darted all around, scanning the familiarity of hell.
Many squeals and cheering invaded your private space when a bunch of girls were to meet after a weekend or something.
Rolling your eyes at their exaggerated behavior, you didn’t bother to stop yourself from seeing them as a fake illusions of what they call friendship.
Mostly because you knew exactly what they said about each other, being quiet pays off in gossip sometimes.
You couldn’t help but groan at the sight of the football team, wearing their school spirit shirts and howling in the halls for some reason.
Making your way down the hall to your usual locker, from time to time stealing glances from fellow students who, as usual, didn’t care to smile or wave.
Hey, at least you could appreciate the fact they didn’t try to be fake with you.
But Yes, you had no friends.
You aren’t going to deny it, you were a loner. It started as a choice when you came back to elementary school after a long time off, pushing away people who wanted to care. And now it was forced, people knowing about your abilities to fight and short temper, avoided you by any chance they can.
The hall was well decorated, sort of.
A lot of bright hand made sings hanging from the wall, most of them were for clubs and just a bit were about school spirit.
You passed down one the golden trophy cabinets, filled with pictures of superstars jocks and cheerleaders, a lot of science golden statues. The decathlon team all huddled up into a group picture, the guy you hated grinning with an arrogant smile holding the golden award as if he won a freaking noble prize, you rolled your eyes in annoyance
‘God i hate rich people’
As you fiddled with the lock, desperately trying not to get angry and punch your way in, your surroundings seemed to get packed by the second.
The smell of cheap, over applied aux cologne and sweat roamed down the the hall already.
You felt your heart beat fasten staring ahead into the empty locker. The amount of voices that got through your headphones made you nervous, the screaming reminding you a different night and every clap making your heart thump louder “I hate school..” you muttered and closed the cream colored locker angrily after putting a few books inside and made your way to the bathroom.
You pushed a few people angrily, not saying a word as your eyes darkened and you felt the air escaping your lungs slightly.
‘Happy thoughts. Happy moments. Happy days. Happy—‘ you kept muttering as you entered the bathroom.
“y/n” a voice called and you lifted your eyes from the ground, staring at a shimmering bronzed figure. “Emma.” You muttered, hostility in your voice as she turned to the mirror again, placing gloss over her plumped lips.
“How’s your grandma?” She asked flatly, she didn’t care, she never did.
Emma is a senior year student, you were best friends once, in elementary school to be exact.
Nowadays, to say you hate her guts is being kind.
“How’s your dad?” You smiled knowingly, afterall almost everyone in school knew for years that her dad left.
But you were the only one who knew why. So yeah, you held it over her head.
“That was low. Even for you.” She snarled and darted her blue eyes to you, she tried to intimidate you like every year, your really didn’t understand why people liked her.
“Oh what can you do?” You sang innocently, trying your hardest not to let your creeping anxiety channel you while talking.
“..fuck you” she spat and took a step closer to you, using her hight advantage to try and scare you, but you faced scary, and a preppy high school student ain’t it.
“Damn that forward? Fatherless behavior.” You tsk under your breath, shaking your head. Before walking passed her, bumping shoulders and pretending as if that interaction wasn’t fuel to your anxiety.
“Same goes to you.” She hissed “You never changed. Thats why you have no friends left. Shame.” She faked a pout voice called behind you and you chuckled sarcastically before turning your head with an angry smile “That and the fact you turned everyone against me.” You felt your stomach knot at the words that slipped through your coral colored lips.
“You know I didn’t.” You turned to her lies and crossed your arms with a raised brow “You’re lying to yourself now too?” You smiled tightly, anger rushing to your veins as the memory of middle school years flashed through your mind, how she told everyone to keep their distance because you will ‘bring bad luck and kill them’
“Have a nice school year...wallflower.” Her voice honeyed as she walked out and waved at a couple of other junior students, you couldn’t help but grunt at the pathetic act.
You wanted to punch her, yell at her, scream your thoughts.
You hated her, her perfect looks, perfect grades, perfect life, even when her dad left she remained popular and loved by all, pathetic.
God I hate rich people.
The bell rang loudly but you hung back in the bathroom, trying to reason with your mind, practically wishing it to stop playing the reason why you moved in with your grandmother to being with.
You took a deep breath and cleared your blurry eyes before pushing the yellow door to the hallway, seeing how empty it had become.
“Your late miss y/l/n.” You teacher, not even bothering to look back at you, unlike the rest of the class who scanned you with unapproved looks.
“Luther.” You spoke calmly, marching you way to an empty seat in the far middle of the class room, eyes following your every move like cameras.
“We talked about approaching me with my first name.” He said sternly, continuing to write on the board.
You glanced back at him as you took your seat “So?” “are you looking for trouble on your first day back?” He raised a brow and crossed his arms, but you didn’t care.
“I’m not looking. They just seem to really like me” you snickered with a daring smile “take a seat.” “Already did Luther” you sang and he turned to you with a frown.
Setting down his marker and glanced over the class, doing the whole thing about talking whatever youll learn in this semester going on and on reminding everyone the rules that you are sure to break at some point or another. You gathered information of the average smiles, each telling unimportant detail about their life, idiotic stuff really like colors and the ‘oh so amazing’ summer they had.
“Y/n?” Your teacher called for the hundred time, and no matter how much you tried to ignore his and his persistent voice he didn’t seem to let you go off unnoticed.
Even when you tried your best to hide behind your sketchbook.
You took your hidden headphones off angrily, “yeah. What.” You raised your brows displeased that he called you out “Would you like to introduce yourself?” “Why?” You frowned and in reply he shook his head tired already “Come on..” he pleaded.
“fine. I’m y/n.” You faked a smile and looked back down to continue your small character portrait on you paper.
“And a fact?” He interrupted and you closed your eyes, deciding to freak out your class a bit with unneeded and maybe a bit scary facts “When a person dies their sense of hearing is the last to go.” You said matter of factly and the class spread with gasps and muttering causing you to smile devilishly at the poor teacher.
Something about embracing the ‘scary person’ title they’ve given you, gave you some confidence and entertainment.
“About yourself miss—“ “oh! I like art” you cut with an innocent smile.
“Gee..yes. Next one please?” The adult beg searching for a distraction from your worrying words.
You scanned the room for the weird looks you were given, eyes suddenly landing on a particular Burnett boy who seemed to stare right back at you. his slight smile disappeared when you connected gazes and he turned straight to look back at the teacher. Peter’s cheeks were a bit heated up in your opinion, but maybe it was just the sun the shown through the window he was sitting next to.
The rest of the day was boring, talking back to almost everyone, earning a few amused giggles from students who seemed to like your witty remarks.
At lunch you set alone, but no surprise there.
A few more tiring classes and the final ring freed everyone, you always took your time tho, not having a much of a reason to hurry home.
Yes you loved your grandmother but you liked to have your own space where you could just wash away the thoughts of the day without fearing her questioning.
You shouldered your bag as you paid the nice lady at the corner shop for the lemonade and a piece of brownie you chose yourself before you making your way back to your apartment building.
Opening the creaking apartment door you noticed your grandmother sleeping on the cream colored couch, a soft smile rose sweetly on your lips as you approached her quietly, covering her with a blue blanket before you rushed quietly to your bedroom window.
Using the fire escape stairs next to your window to get to the roof, your steps rattling the grey metal stairs while wind creased your features.
From time to time you looked over your shoulder and stared at view you were given from the man made nature, your usual angered music from school changing to a different sweet genre, threading your thoughts with non existing memories.
You sat on the edge of the building wall, your legs floating in the air as you kept staring ahead.
Thoughts clouding your mind as you lit up a cigarette, the noise in the background being used as white noise.
maybe you should have been nicer today, maybe you should have talked to your neighbor when you saw him walking alone to the station, maybe you should jump, maybe you should show your feelings, a lot of thoughts of maybe’s rushed to your mind like every other day.
It was a habit by now, going to the roof, look over the view and let yourself be you, letting your anger shatter on the ground beneath you.
“Don’t!” You heard a voice yell, but you didn’t feel like turning so you swung your lemonade bottle to your lips.
“Chill I’m not gonna kill myself just yet.” You shrugged carelessly, a sarcastic smirk tugging at your lips as a loud horn was heard in the street along with the sound of sirens.
“Oh..uh t-that’s good..” the voice called. silence fell for a second as you stared ahead at the buildings which the sun reflected on.
“so can you just..back off a bit from the edge?” He asked unsurely, a little bit of worry in his voice and you could hear him approaching behind you.
“No.” You replied coldly “Why not?” “Because I like it this way..” you insisted and you could hear his sarcastic voice joke behind you, “ah yes. Who doesn’t love feeling like they might fall off the edge of a wall like Humpty Dumpty” he called and you fought the urge to laugh.
“did you just call me an egg?” You turned back to him with a narrowed eyes suppressing your teasing grin, only to realize that the voice behind you was non other than spiderman.
“S-sorry..didn’t wanted for it to sound mean..just had a bad day and—“ he cut himself with an obvious fake cough “uhm but like..just come on.. back off a bit?”
You thought for a moment, you could just jump off and land on the stairs close by and give him a heart attack but..he sounded nice, like in different way than the superhero you had met.
I mean, your standards were low, and being told not to kill yourself sounded almost..comforting.
“Had a bad day? A superhero? With a bad day?..that’s new” you witted, slowly standing on your feet and smacked taking a few steps closer to him.
“what? What makes you say that?” He huffed and you couldn’t hold the smile that was tugging at your lips “what part?” You “All...of..it?” He scratched the back of his neck with confusion and you swear that you were able to see an awkward smile behind the mask. “Because superheroes are always projected as perfect and bull shit like that, bad days are not included.” You scrunch your nose with a frown before taking a bite from your brownie shrugging and turning your back so you could lean against a wall safely this time.
“Uhm thats..not entirely true haha..” he chuckled dryly and you turned to look at him once again, this time from beneath him. Still holding your cigarette, and your other stuff.
“so spiderman. Want to talk about it or you just want to enjoy the sunset with a loser such as myself?” You joked and he crossed his legs next to you, you didn’t know why, but being noticed by someone new, who hadn’t had the ability to judge you felt freeing.
“I’d take the sunset with the pretty girl please?” He shrugged with a silky voice and you simply shook your head in disbelief even though you felt rather flattered.
“Then you need to find someone else cause it ain’t me” you muttered and continued to look over the shimmering horizon, taking a hit from your cigarette.
the busy street beneath you desperately trying to shut the conversation down.
“what?! Why?!” He said confused to which you simply glanced over to him confused and almost shocked that he seriously complimented you. “S..seriously?” You frowned “Yeah! I mean...you’re..you’re pretty.” He muttered embarrassed, shrugging his shoulders.
Narrowing your eyes suspiciously, you slowly turned to look at the sunset again. “Well at least now I earned my title meaning” “title?” He replied quickly.
“Wallflower.” You forced a smile, taking another hit.
He wanted to ask more about it but restrained himself, letting you both enjoy the quite for a moment.
“You from around here?” He suddenly asked and you raised a witty brow “Obviously.” You said coldly as usual before biting your tongue, not wanting to leave a bad impression on someone who actually tried to give you the time of day.
“This building..” you muttered and he was quick to ask another question “and..why are you up here? If you don’t mind me ask—“ “clearing my mind.” You cut, your mind telling you to stop bothering the busy hero. “From what?” He asked innocently and you shook your head “Does it matter?” Your cold reply made him even more the boy curious even more.
He paused for a moment before tilting his head to look at you “Maybe” he hummed but you disregarded that quickly.
Your y/e/c eyes glancing back at him “not to anyone usually” you shrugged, and without a beat he went “And if I say that I care?”
You paused confused, first he tells you yourself pretty and next that he cares to know about your day? What a weird fucking superhero.
You lowered your head before plastaring a smile on your mouth “You’d be lying and therefore a terrible role model for kids around the world” you emphasized your words with jazz hands and you could clearly hear his laughter crossing to you.
You sighed and glanced back at the sky “you don’t know me. You don’t even know my name..” you stopped yourself, you will not allow yourself to get close to a masked person, especially not a superhero. He’s just doing his job right?
“than tell me..” the spider hero asked politely and you stared at him wide eyed. “yeah ok, y/n” you spoke quickly and his masked eyes widened “huh?” He mumbled missing your first wordings. “My name..my name is y/n” you slowed and smiled kindly “oh..well nice to meet you y/n..” he lifted his hand to yours and you squinted your eyes at him a bit when you reached to shake it.
He paused for a moment before frowning confused “are you going to ask me my name?” He asked. But you simply shrugged, “I think it’ll give away the whole secret identity no?” You joked and circling with your finger the red mask.
“That’s new” he commented, repeating your earlier words “what is?” You wondered, a hint of playful teasing rang in your voice “Not being asked about who I am” he continued and you simply shook your head and turned to the setting in front of you “I don’t mind. I have nothing to do with the information and when you leave I won’t see you again.” You said emptily, quietness cut between the two of you.
“It’s a waste of time getting to know people.” You suddenly mumbled, and he looked at you with Sad eyes, not that you saw them anyways.
He finally broke the long pause saying “But isn’t this how you make friends?” “This is how you get yourself and others hurt.” You whispered with broken words. He wanted to say something, anything, but he didn’t know what, so he stayed with you quietly.
Suddenly the horrible sound of alarms snatched you from your calmness and you simply nodded your head at him, hiding your disappointment with a smirk “Someone’s calling for you superhero..” “seems like it” he said, you swear you hear disappointment in his voice.
The golden sun glinted on his delicate suite details when he stood up slowly, fixing his mask “it was nice watching the sunset with you y/n” he added quickly. stretching his arms behind his back before reaching his helping hand for you, but you managed on your own and smiled confidently, dusting your hands on your pants “likewise spiderman” you hummed.
The semi-known hero shook his head a bit, it was like he was smiling at you before he jumped him off the rooftop, leaving you to watched his animated movements disappearing behind a building.
After finishing the sunset by yourself, staring as the police once again made noise throughout your neighborhood, you decided its time to head back in.
You jumped into your room through the window and rolled on your bed. “Hey gran..? You still up?” You asked loudly.
fixingyour posture quickly and opened the door swiftly, throwing your trash in the kitchen bin before hearing your grandmother heavy feet moving on the floor.
A small voice replied, a tired and a hoarse one “Yes dear..” she murmured as you returned to her spot on the sofa, crouching a bit so you could see eye to eye with her.
“did you remember to take your medicines?” You said worriedly, slowly getting up and opening the medication cabinet above you “Yes y/n/n” “and that weird tea did you—“ “at lunch with cookies I made” she chuckled at your worrisome behavior, then quickly motioned you to come closer to her. She placed a gentle hand on your cheek and smiled concerned “where’ve you been?” She asked. “Roof” you replied matter of factly “again?” “Obviously.” You rolled your eyes with a smile and briefly looked at the glowing screen.
A nice kind of quietness surrounded you, the sound of sharp voices emerging from the screen, “Want to tell me about your first day back in school” she suddenly said and you kept looking at the changing characters, quite words escaping your mind “was given a nickname” “oh..” she whispered, worry in her voice urging you to say the name. “Wallflower” you sighed with a smile, shaking your head. She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again,?searching your eyes “Well..flowers are pretty” she breathed, trying to radiate her positive of way of looking to you. “and insignificant” You replied and turned away “now don’t say that you know it’s not true” “but it is.” You shrugged and went to the fridge.
But even from the couch, she didn’t mind pressing for more information “Anything else?” She asked. But truly, nothing interesting happened at school. “Not really, gave back my assignments and went through events of the first month.” You brushed carelessly “And?” “Didn’t kill a guy that bumped into me” you giggled a bit proud of yourself.
But she kept pressing asking more and more repeated questions as you came to sit closer to her. “and?” She added again “And what?!” You raised your voice a bit but caught yourself in time, a soft apologetic smile crossed your lips “Sorry..” you muttered shyly, she shook her head but kept her loving eyes locked on yours.
She reached her hands to yours, calmness washing over you at her touch forcing you to smile helplessly.
She smiled sweetly “you seemed calmer when you walked in” your grandma mentioned, mirroring your undying twinkle “had a really good sunset I guess” you muttered with a shy smile, shifting your eyes away to the quite TV.
On the news they were just covering the reason why the friendly hero had to leave so abruptly.
You smiled fondly thinking of how bizarre the interaction felt to you. Though you couldn’t explain why, a small hopeful part of you wished for the masked hero and you to meet once more.

the spiderling // peter parker x avenger!reader
in which reader, the youngest avenger who was taken in by natasha romanoff, and peter parker are tasked with a mission they aren’t sure how to tackle- babysitting Morgan Stark.
a/n: my auto caps isn’t on, so please ignore all my lowercase i’s and sentence starters. we are also going to ignore all of endgame and spiderman no way home here <3
Tumblr media
“did you get Mr. Starks text?” peter asks. you don’t even look up from your homework.
“no, what did he say?”
“bug boy and baby widow, in the living room, now.”
“he has such a polite demeanor to him, don’t you think?”
peter snorts as he closes his lap top. “i just hope we’re not in actual trouble.”
“Please. if we were actually in trouble, he wouldn’t have sent a text.” you shove your papers into your back pack before walking over to peter, who was sitting at your desk.
it was nice to have your own room in the compound, you’d never had your own room before. not thay you could remember, anyway. natasha found you when you were ten on one of her missions. you were living on lies and had sticky fingers. every meal, article of clothing, you had stoeln. sleeping on the street scared you, so you learned to break into unoccupied motel rooms and apartment buildings.
homeless people and gangs in the area noticed this, and started bribing you to sneak into the places they couldn’t and steal for them. in exchange, they gave you money and food and protection from muggers and violent addicts that roamed the streets.
natasha was going to leave you. she knew she couldn’t save every child on every mission. but you were being used and exploited, and you didn’t know any better. she waited for you to fall asleep in your “borrowed” motel room, then snuck in and grabbed you. you woke up on a quinjet that night, with natasha there to calm your fears.
you never looked back.
she tried to get you to live with clint and laura, who both welcomed you into their family with open arms, but you were restless on the farm and begged to go to work with clint.
eventually they caved when you snuck your way onto a quinjet, thinking you’d be going to the compound to see natasha, but you actually ended up on a mission that lasted two weeks. the avengers decided to keep you informed after that. none of them wanted to risk the safety of a preteen.
so tony gave you a room in the compound and you stayed with nat. you trained every morning with the avengers and did school online in the labs while tony and bruce worked. when you got older, they took you to charity events and press conferences and political meetings to teach you the depths of being a public hero. natasha held your hand the whole time, walking you through the complexities.
though it wasn’t typical, it was a much better life than the one you came from, and you were grateful. you were wry of peter becoming an “intern” at first. you were the baby of the group and didn’t like the thought of having someone your own age around. but peter actually made your teenage years better.
the two of you quickly became best friends. he taught you about memes and took you out with his friends- he even convinced tony to let you come to public school with him.
now, having him around was second nature.
you pulled peter up out of the chair. “better go see what the big man wants.”
the two of you made your way to the living room. tony was there with sam, cap, natasha, bruce and clint, all dressed in suits. to your surprise, morgan was sitting on the couch coloring in a disney princess coloring book.
morgan adored you. how could she not? you were a real life super hero and you would play tea party with her.
plus, being a little girl and seeing female super heroes was kind of a big deal. she looked up to you. and nat and wanda, of course, but you were her favorite. you were just a teenager, which is wayyy less scary than a grown women to a 5 year old.
you were more of a god than thor in her eyes, and she wanted to be just like you.
“when i send a text with that much hostility i expect some hustle.” tony sassed.
you rolled your eyes. “if you wanted hustle you would have told us the mission was urgent.”
“oh it is. lives are at stake here honey bun.”
you scowled at the nick name. “don’t call me-“
“so what exactly is the mission?” peter interrupted cautiously.
“immediate conference in wakanda with select world leaders about new artificial intelligence weaponry.” Bruce said.
natasha walked over to ruffle your hair. “boring stuff.”
you smiled at her friendly greeting. she looked dazzling. not a strand of hair was out of place, and her eyeliner was sharp enough to slice a finger. leave it to natasha to make a meeting into a fashion show.
“well why did you call us out here? if you told us just to get dressed we would have been ready sooner-“
“ah, no, see, the conference is our mission.” tony interrupted. “your mission is to watch my lovely daughter.”
your heart sank. you loved morgan, but you wanted to be included in the mission, no matter how boring natasha said it would be. “but-“
“no buts, you’ll make her cry.” tony said.
“yeah, come on y/n,” morgan got up from the couch. “you can’t say no to this face.” she proceeded to jut out her bottom lip and stare up at you and peter with her big brown puppy dog eyes, and as much as you didn’t want to, you felt your heart melt just a little.
you knelt down to her level to look her right in the eyes and said: “if you weren’t so small i’d slap that look right off your face.”
“you love me too much.”
god, she sounded just like tony.
“i would trade you for a potato chip.”
morgan gasped and dramatically put her hand to her chest.
peter laughed. “well, i’d trade you for two potato chips, morgan, so i think i’m the better babysitter. ya know, cause my standards are higher.”
the little girl thought for a moment before nodding her head yes, that seemed fair, and dragged peter over to color.
tony clapped his hands and smiled. “well, that settles that! Avengers, roll out.”
the group brushed past you toward the door, all giving sympathetic smiles. nat put a hand on your shoulder as she made her way. “i’ll call you on the way home, alright? you’ll be apart of the debrief. i promise.”
that lifted your spirits. “thanks nat.”
you said your goodbyes and watched her walk out the door. you sighed, then walked over to the table where peter and morgan seemed to be playing hangman. you stood behind morgan, looking over her shoulder at the blank spaces of her sentence, and peters stick figure who was dangerously close to death.
“happy brought pop tarts?”
“YES!” morgan squealed before scribbling in the rest of the letters.
you stuck your tongue out at peter.
peter scoffed. “i could’ve got that easily!”
“please, your man was basically dead!”
“hE HAD ONE LEG LEFT!”
morgan giggled. “shes just smarter than you peter!” she taunted.
“HA!” you yelled. “take that, spider boy!”
“yeah, spider boy!” morgan mimicked.
“okay spider GIRL,” he said, pushing his sleeves up as he stood up. “you’re turning her against me? there’s only one way to settle this.”
he lunged for you, then quickly changed direction and scooped up morgan before sprinting away. “come get your mini minon!”
oh, it’s on.
you took off after them.
morgan’s high pitched laughter echoed through the halls. peter was fast, but he usually used webs to get around. in less than a minute you had taken them both to the ground, careful of morgan’s head. she crawled out of peters grasp and into yours. you threw her up onto your shoulders and yelled “VICTORY!”
peter rolled around on the floor in fake anguish. “oh, great avengers! you have slain me!”
morgan’s laughter was uncontrollable now, rolling through her little body so hard she almost fell off your shoulders.
***
at about 7 pm, morgan decided she had to have a cheeseburger. you and peter knew that tony wouldn’t mind having food delivered to you- i mean, the guy is a billionaire. he wouldn’t mind a thirty dollar delivery. but still, you always felt bad spending his money, and you didn’t want to wait that long. plus, happy was home for the night, and you didn’t want to send the poor man out to deliver the three of you food. you recruited peter to swing to the place a few blocks over.
“i’ll be back soon m’lady.” he said, ruffling morgan’s hair from behind the couch. she waved to him as he opened the window.
“don’t fall off a building!”
you stifled a laugh watching peter brush off her comment. he looked cute with the little blush across his cheeks. “thanks, morgan. i’ll do my best.” he shot a web out the window, waved goodbye to you, and disappeared.
you stood up to close the window before sitting back down next to morgan. “well baby stark, what do you want to do while the boy is gone?”
she put a finger to her forehead, deep in thought, before shooting it out in an AHA! motion. “will you do my makeup?”
you smiled. “of course, princess morgan. give me one sec, okay?” you got up and ran to your room. you grabbed some mascara, a lash curler, the sparkliest eye shadow you owned and a bright red lip. morgan loved dramatics when it came to dress up, which wasn’t surprising, considering who her dad was. you didn’t really have room to talk though, considering your main role model was natasha romanoff.
you skipped back over to a clapping morgan and began applying a nude color to her eyelids. “can you make me look like auntie nat?” she asked, flashing big puppy dog eyes at you. you nodded. “oh yeah, i’ve got auntie nats make up down to a t, buddy.”
you were both quiet for a moment, then she said, “do you think peter will like my makeup?”
“oh, of course honey!” you reassured. you thought it was a silly question. of course peter would like it, peter liked anything morgan did. peters always been an only child. he loved having morgan around and getting to play big brother.
she seemed to like than answer, nodding her head. “i don’t want him to be upset we left him out.”
you chuckled. “i’m sure you can do his make up when he gets back, bug.”
her eyes widened and she pulled away from your makeup brush. “don’t call me that!”
you were taken aback. “wha- why?”
“i don’t want to be a bug! i want to be a spider, like you guys! and bugs and spiders are different, i learned that in school!” she pouted.
your heart melted. “aw morgan-“
she threw her arms up in exhasperation- her rant was not over yet. “he’s spiderman, you’re basically a black widow, i want to be a spider too! how am i supposed to be a spider if you call me bug? huh? riddle me that!”
“okay okay!” you laughed. “you sound like your dad.” you thought for a minute. “you can be ‘the spiderling’, how does that sound?”
she squinted. “hmm, i guess that works for now. until i get bigger.”
you picked your eye shadow brush up again. “well okay spiderling, come back over here.”
she seemed content with her nickname and lean d back toward you. “you know, i like that you and peter are both spiders. it matches cause you’re in love.”
“WHAT,” this time, you pulled away. “morgan, what makes you think peter and i are in love?”
she looked at you with an equally confused face. “well he’s always with you, and you get excited to see each other, and he smiles at you when you’re not looking, and daddy says you’re gunna get married-“
“your dad says what?” you blinked at her.
she clapped her hands together and smiled. “he says that peter talks about you alllll the timeee and he thinks you’re going to get married! and that i’ll get to be your flower girl because peters afraid of him and you love me!” she squealed. “doesn’t that sound amazing?”
you reached down and grabbed the mascara tube. did tony really say that? was peter really in love with you and you were just too oblivious to notice?
to be fair, you were in love with him and he didn’t seem to notice.
“yeah, amazing morg.”
“that’s not my name anymore!”
“well, what’s your name now?” peter came in the door. “aw, did i break up girl time?”
“peter!” morgan yelled, getting up to run to him. she jumped into his arms, almost causing him to drop the bag of takeout. you caught it from his failing grip and set it on the table.
“wow, someone missed me,” he teased. “wow, look at those pretty eyes!”
morgan smiled and closed her eyelids to give peter a better look. “y/n and i made me a new name while she was doing my eyes- i get to be ‘the spiderling’ to match you guys!”
he raised his eyebrows in surprise. “oh wow!” he glanced up at you. “we all get to match now. you an avenger too?”
she sighed. “not yet.”
peter laughed at that, and the sound sent shivers down your spine. you watched him carefully as he set morgan down. “well, spiderling, go grab your burger.”
she ran over to the table where you set the food before rushing off the the couch to eat. “can we watch say yes to the dress?” she asked.
peter looked at you with an eyebrow raised. “i mean, yeah but, why?”
“y/n should look at all the pretty options before HEY-“ before she could finish her sentence you had run over and muffled her face with a pillow, your cheeks turning red. morgan thrashed around before yanking the pillow off her face and turning to you with a fury in her eyes. “what was that for?”
peter walked over, unwrapping his own burger. “why does y/n need to look at the dresses morg?”
you face flushed even darker.
morgan turned back around with a huff. “so she can know what to look for when you guys get married. duh.”
“MORGAN.” you yelled, lightly smacking the top of her head.
“OW, Y/N, STOP IT,” she screamed, tossing her burger aside and throwing herself over the backend of the couch to attack you. the sudden force of her knocked you to the ground. you tried to push her off of you, but she was little and squirmy, and you couldn’t quite get her in your grasp.
when you looked up, peter was grinning down at the two of you. he watched for a moment, just smiling gently. your heart could’ve exploded into a million pieces, watching him watch you like that. then, he reached down, plucked morgan off you, and set her back on the couch. “okay morgs, hand me the remote, i’ll put on say yes to the dress.”
and he did. he didnt say anything about morgan’s comment again, just sat next to her and ate his food. carefully, you sat down on the other side of morgan with your food in hand.
the three of you stayed there the rest of the night, booing the mean moms and critiquing each dress. it was fun, almost mindless, but still…
there was a little part of you that remembered how peter smiled when morgan asked for the show, and how he looked at you…
the two of them fell asleep after a while. morgan had sprawled between your lap and peters, and peters head rested on your shoulder, the way it had a million times before. it felt different this time, though.
at around 10:30, the avengers clambered into the compound, yawning and tugging at their ties, ready for bed. tony pulled morgan from your arms, and said a small, almost too sincere thank you before taking her off to bed.
nat came over and placed a hand on your shoulder from behind the couch. she looked tired in the pale light of the tv. still, she looked happy to see you. “hey kiddo,” she smiled. “i’ve got a lot to tell you.”
you returned her smile, and placed your hand on hers, before glancing at peters curly hair resting on your other shoulder. the smile grew. “i have a lot to tell you too.”

summary:
Tony is tired of hearing her daughter talk about her crush, and Peter talk about his. So he sets them up for confrontation and decides to have a little fun with it...
Tumblr media
you stepped inside the most spacious classroom of Midtown High, and the familiar scents of chemicals immediately invaded your smell. The chemistry class was soon filled with people taking their seats at their tables and putting on their candid white lab coats and protective goggles. Your usual desk mates were absent on that day due to the intensive sport training they were undergoing; soon they'd have a really important match and the school couldn't risk loosing (again), so they were excused from classes that day.
It was no big deal, but it was an absolute tragedy for you: who will you blather about your crush to? Who will listen as you make up romantic - most definitely unrealistic - scenarios, and encourage your imagination? How can you go a whole day without hearing their encouraging words on how you should just go up to Peter's desk and say-
"Hi, is this seat taken?" The familiar voice shakes you out of your thoughts. Your eyes widen as the sight of THE Peter Parker.
The boy wasn't popular in the slightest, but you had the chance to admire him in his natural habitat, the chemistry and maths classrooms, (or so you thought) and he was the smartest person in MILES. The rare few times you had the chance - or the excuse - to talk to him, he had been the most caring, generous and kindest person you ever had the chance to meet.
"Of course not." You smiled, making him smile, too. You blushed at the thought of always being the one to make him smile like that. Better yet, at the thought of him making you smile like an absolute fool everyday.
"y/n, right?" Peter asked while fixing his bag next to him and sitting down on the stool.
From there on the chitchat never ended. You both did stay silent: he was rather invested in the experiment, and you were rather invested in watching him focus. Chemistry came pretty naturally to you - just like every other scientifical and technology-related subject - which gave you more time to dream of the moment that had finally come.
You guys discovered that you had so much in common: interests, friendships, hobbies...heroes. You both loved Spiderman, for instance, and you both really looked up to Ironman and Captain America. You both liked Star Wars and Delmar's sandwiches, and you both knew MJ.
After class was over, the two of you agreed to sit next to each other the following time as well: your friends had been telling you to talk to him for ages, they won't mind at all if you actually did and stopped distracting him from their assignments in class. Even though, underneath, you knew they enjoyed it just as much as you did.
The weeks went by and you couldn't help but like him more and more, falling deeper and deeper for the boy. He seemed quite involved, too: every time your hands brushed against each other, or you made him laugh, or even just held eye contact for more than one second, it just made your heartbeat run a marathon. And that wasn't like you at all, but you weren't sure you liked it much. That little voice in your head just kept telling you that it might all just be your imagination going a bit too far; basically just gaslighting yourself.
Six months later you guys had become absolute best friends. You walked back home together after school, worked on projects, had your own inside jokes; you had even met his aunt May!
"Hey y/n?" Peter broke the silence while he was laying on a park bench, his curls on your laps.
"Yeah?"
"Do you- would you ever-" he started stuttering as he usually did when he was going to say something important for him. It always made you giggle, you found it cute.
"C'mon Pete, you can tell me anything, you know that."
"I know" he whispered before sitting back straight up. He took a deep breath before finally saying what he wanted to "Do you- like pillowcases?"
You looked at him, puzzled and surprised by the question. "Do I- like pillowcases?" You let out a laugh, trying to hide the disappointment in what you thought he'd have said. "I guess I do. Do you?"
"Yea. I do, I really do."
"That's- cool, I didn't know that about you" You chuckled, as he let out more of a nervous laugh. "I guess we should get going now". You smiled, gathering your things.
After Peter dropped you off where you "lived", you waited til he was out of sight before getting into the most famous building in the State: your actual home.
"I CANNOT BELIEVE HIM!" You shouted as you angrily climbed the stairs and walked into the kitchen, reaching straight for the fridge and opening it. "I seriously cannot believe that boy!"
"What did he do today sweetheart?" you father asked, not getting his eyes off of the newspaper he was reading.
"He almost asked me out!"
"And the problem with that is..."
"THAT HE ALMOST ASKED ME OUT!"
"Oh, obviously" He mocked you as he folded his newspaper. "Honey, have you ever thought of asking him out yourself?"
"Of course not. I mean, what if he says no?"
"You've never had this problem with any other boy before, and you're having this kind of doubts now that I actually like one of your picks?"
"Yes, because I also actually like this one!"
"Pepper, I don't need the blood test anymore, she's definitely a Stark!"
"I thought we had agreed on that when she fixed the- technology thing you couldn't deal with when she was 5." Your mother shouted from the other room.
"Okay, ouch." Tony replied.
"To be fair, you did deserve that." You chuckled. "Anyways, I'm starting to think it was just all in my head. Maybe that's just how he is with everyone, I'm nothing special. I guess I love for the both of us. I mean, how could I be enough for someone like him? He's the sweetest, kindest, most generous and caring person on this planet. And me? Well, I'm just really smart. And I'm amazing for everyone else, of course, but him? He deserves more than I'll ever be able to give." You concluded looking at the ground as you let your head fall into your arms. You were forced to raise your gaze when you heard a sudden loud noise. Something had fallen and broken, like a plate or a mug.
Looking up you saw the only thing you needed but last thing you wanted to see in that moment.
"You better clean that up kid. Oh and, y/n? Peter's here, by the way. Which is a really good thing because now you can both stop using me as your shrink and actually talk to each other." Tony looked at you with the most amused smirk as he was on his way to leave the room.
Your face had reached the cherry red color of the ceramic bowl that was scattered all around on the floor.
"Are you- did you actually mean all that?" An incredulously open-mouthed Peter asked.
"What are you even doing here?!" You inquired, confused and embarrassed.
"That's not important right now. Did you mean that?"
"Haven't I proven it to you?"
"I- I feel awful about making you doubt how much I love you." He said sincerely, while walking towards you.
"You- love me?"
"More than I thought I could." He leaned in slowly, following your every move until your lips fused into the most beautiful feeling you had ever felt. When the kiss was broken he held you in his arms for a few minutes, you both contemplating how the moment felt as magical as you had imagined it. Peter broke the silence with a sudden realization.
"Wait- you are PEPPER POTTS AND TONY STARK'S DAUGHTER?"
"Yeah..." You laughed nervously.
"Why have you never said anything?"
"I don't really go around advertising it. You know the bad guys and stuff can-" As you were explaining, you accidentally hurt a mug. Luckily, before it could touch the ground it was promptly saved: Peter was holding in his right hand the purple thing.
"you are SPIDERMAN?! MY BOYFRIEND IS SPIDERMAN?"
"Mh, boyfriend." He chuckled before hugging you again. "I like the sound of that."
