Yakovlev Yak-40 Vologda Aviation Enterprise

Vologda Aviation Enterprise is a regional airline with its head office on the territory of Vologda Airport in Vologda, Russia. It operates scheduled domestic and regional passenger services, maintenance of commercial flights, transportation services for gas and oil pipelines, as well as provides search and rescue operations. Vologda Aviation Enterprise traces its history back to September 1, 1931, when the first aircraft landed on the new air-strip, flying on the route Moscow – Yaroslavl – Vologda – Arkhangelsk. In 1969, the airline received its first Yakovlev Yak-40 aircraft. In 1978 a new Vologda airport was built, it gave impetus to the development of aviation in the region. The current structure of the Vologda fleet includes Yakovlev Yak-40, Antonov An-2 and Mi-8 helicopters.

More from my aviation multiverse where the BAe-146 was used by more airlines than what happened on our timeline. This time, it's Ozark. GO GETTERS GO OZARK! ⁣ ⁣ In March 1972, St. Louis-based Ozark Air Lines began to use De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otters on passenger services between Springfield, Illinois, and Chicago's lakefront Meigs Field in competition to a similar service started by the commuter airline Air Illinois. Ozark's services only lasted one year due to financial losses primarily due to high crew salaries- Ozark's pilot contract did not have provisions for proportionally lower wages for flying smaller aircraft.⁣ ⁣ It was one of several attempts by local service carriers to fly smaller aircraft to smaller markets (it was also tried by West Coast/Air West, Frontier, and Texas International as well.⁣ ⁣ Suppose Chicago Meigs Field became something like today's London City Airport instead of getting bulldozed in the middle of the night? Suppose Ozark's original Meigs Field services stayed viable and by the 1980s, Ozark used the quiet STOL capabilities of the BAe-146 to fly into Meigs Field? In our alternate history, Ozark would have a fleet of BAe-146s to support services direct into close-in Meigs Field from points throughout Ozark's network. Painting the outlines, the basic structure for my abstract styles saying ‘ Seak ‘ is different vibe, then painting the details. In general, Iam having in mind which letter it is while im thinking, visualizing Iam painting, drawing, styling, Imaging a super cool car, spaceship, truck, crane, tank, motorbike, weapon, tool. It’s like iam become, Iam being that form, that design part, usual from reflection. When painting the super little details I usual forget which letter aim painting. So far I have never owned myself the cool stylish things, vehicles, machines, structures Iam inspired by for painting. I just saw them in real life, in books, magazines, on photos. Yes i owned toys, a few unpainted scale models, war toys, matchbox cars, Lego, playmobil, things like that. I have little a war medal, awards, a dagger, etc, collection with essential german ww2, some ww1, and earlier originals. I have owned a piaggio cosa vespa 200ccm Scooter in my twentys, my parents had a boat, that’s pretty much it. A Ferrari & Lamborghini poster in my beginning puberty. I consumed a lot Computer games ( amiga500) besides reading a lot books, visiting museums, to enjoy technical aesthetics, design, and history. In a away painting, is like a momentary ego indentification with the forms. For financial efficiency in my non painting time, I enjoy hiking the near by mountain woodland here in Germany. As substitute watching cool super cars, or iconic beloved german world war 2 technic, I watch when passing by old rush farming tractors. I although watch scale models, and dioramas. Air New Zealand Limited is the flag carrier airline of New Zealand and based in Auckland. The airline's main hub is Auckland Airport, located near Māngere in the southern part of the Auckland urban area. Its headquartered in a building called "The Hub" in Auckland's Wynyard Quarter. The airline originated in 1940 as Tasman Empire Airways Limited. In 1965, whereupon it was renamed Air New Zealand. The airline served only international routes until 1978, when the government merged it and the domestic New Zealand National Airways Corporation (NAC) into a single airline under the Air New Zealand name. Air New Zealand's route network focuses on Australasia and the South Pacific, with long-haul flight services to eastern Asia and North America. The airline has been a member of the Star Alliance since 1999.

More on my ongoing series of alternate history looks at the British Aerospace BAe-146. I had a prior post showing the -200QC in Alaska's 1980s colors, this illustration looks at if Alaska had operated the -200QCs throughout the state in mixed cargo/pax configurations, here we have one in the airline's prior colors circa 1994. ⁣ ⁣ In 1988, there were plans for livery change that would have gone with a stylized mountain on the tail, but it caused such an uproar the change was canceled and "Chester" made his third appearance on the then-new Alaska livery which debuted in 1990. Many elements from the 1980s livery were carried over but in a more modern form- the blue and green cheatlines and the iconic and loved Eskimo tail- only this time a smile on Chester's visage was introduced. ⁣ ⁣ The striking title fonts were more evocative of Alaska and its native cultures. ⁣ ⁣ As I had mentioned in my prior BAe-146 multiverse post, it's been intriguing to me that a 146QC never took root in Alaska, it would seem like the ideal environment with four engine safety operating over Alaska's vast wilderness. Granted in our own timeline, the Boeing 737-200 Combi filled that role. ⁣ ⁣ The second photo is of an airline that did use the 146 in Alaska which I have posted about already, AirPac. This photo is of AirPac's sole BAe-146 on short final into Dutch Harbor (PDUT) at Unalaska. Supposedly the individual standing watching the aircraft arrive is AirPac's owner. I haven't been able to determine the name of the owner, so if anyone knows and can tell me more about him, I'd love to know. ⁣ ⁣ Be sure to check us out at www.lajeteepress.com.
