sooo deeply curious about the semantic distinctions between "aw yis," "heh," "oh my god," "oh man," and "oooh" and the implications of their various combinations

they're basically a way to encode my reactions in the tags using a standardized shorthand, lol! they kinda correspond to things I might say out loud if I was expressing a reaction in person

aw yis (and it's rarer, intenser forms heck yes and hell yeah) basically means that I thought this was cool, usually in an awesome way

heh means I thought it was funny, or at least ironic

oh my god indicates that this is silly/ridiculous, in an 'oh my GOD, that's so neat' way usually

oh man is sometimes an intensifier ala oh wow that's cool, but I also use it when something's great but also sad or when something makes me think in a way I hadn't considered before

ooooh is more like...'oooh, neat!' or 'ooooh shiny!'

Now we understand fully why Jian's mom is so respected in an almost reverenced way by both main mafias.

She is one hell of a strong woman.

She got disowned/kicked out by loving her fiancé and her son. She had to go through her entire pregnancy alone. She birthed her baby alone.

For those whole 9 months (or more), she didn't have anyone through probably the worst (and best) time of her life; not her family, not her fiancé's family, not her fiancé. And to top it all of, she learned of his passing through a fucking tv announcement. Alone yet again.

She isn't a perfect mother, but no one can deny she did her absolute best.
