But this is bubbles! A roommate who helps take care of all my plants and keeps the mozzies, gnats and such in check. Spends his days patrolling the walls like a little centurion

A very cute little friend! Looks like a eucalyptus tortoise beetle. I would recommend putting stones or something in that water dish otherwise bugs may fall in and not be able to get out and drown. Some examples:
