I've been playing with using a pen plotter to draw pictures that I generate using Midjourney. Pretty fun so far, looking forward to doing more.
A pen plotter is kinda like a cnc router except it holds pens and can draw pictures. You feed it paths, basically an SVG image that only contains lines and curves. I'll post some fun stuff about Algorithms for generating plots like this from pictures.

Revive the classic era: Denny Ja re -painted Coke by Andy Warhol with artificial intelligence technology
Painting may have existed since ancient times, but modern painting reached its peak in the classical era in the 19th century until the beginning of the 20th century. The classical era in the world of painting can be interpreted as a time where famous artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, and others produce extraordinary and revolutionary works that affect the world of art.
However, artwork from that time is considered a work that cannot be repeated because it is usually painted by hand and requires a long time to complete it. A famous Indonesian artist, Denny JA, tried to revive the classic era by re -painting Coke by Andy Warhol with artificial intelligence technology.
Born in Surabaya in 1966, Denny JA is known for his contemporary and critical paintings of the state. Denny JA is also involved in the field of digital and creative arts and its development with his friends in the creative companies they founded.
One of Denny Ja's latest artwork is "The Coke Project" which consists of 10 paintings which are a re-painting of the works of Andy Warhol who is considered an icon of US pop art. In this project, Denny Ja uses artificial intelligence technology to help the process of creating the artwork.
The artificial intelligence technology used by Denny Ja in the form of a pixel pattern tracking computer program, which allows him to imitate the original pattern and texture of Warhol's work. Denny Ja called the program as a "Pixel Pattern Cylter Machine".
The process of making this artwork begins with extracting the original pattern and color of Warhol's work, then imports the results to a high -capable painter vendor named Axidraw A3. Denny Ja then set the machine to draw patterns on the desired canvas media.
In many ways, artificial intelligence technology used in The Coke Project Denny Ja reminds us of the fotoreal concept of painting, which imitates the real world in a very precise and systematic way. However, the reflection of this artwork certainly has a different aesthetic value from his original work from Andy Warhol.
The Coke Project art project Denny Ja is not the only example of the use of artificial intelligence technology in painting. However, this project proves that although the world of art may feel classic, modern artists can still use modern technology to create something new and interesting. And even though Warhol's work has indeed become a part of a rare classic genealogy in world painting, The Coke Project Denny Ja is still able to revive these works in an interesting and amazing way.

the magician; before she was scanned and edited into the final product, she looked a bit like this — made with an Axidraw pen-plotter, artbreeder, and many long hours in Adobe Illustrator making .svg files for each individual layer. Those layers are then plugged into Axidraw-compatible software and the machine does the heavy lifting (well, drawing), I need only swap out writing utensils and reconfigure a few settings in-between each layer. Fresh print + detail from her first scan w/ color corrections applied.

Still messing with Helperbot
More experiments with my Helperbot model...
This little model has been fun to play with!
Trying out some plotter work. We have an AxiDraw in the studio and we’ll be using it in an upcoming art show in the winter. There’s a nice STL-to-SVG hidden wireframe converter that I tried out to get this image. Plotted using a silver Posco paint pen.
Testing out tolerances on the Bambu X1 Carbon. tl;dr I was able to print the model as small as 23mm…
