Summary: Gaku x gn!reader. The kid in your college class has some piercings that you can't stop looking at.

You'd never thought he'd be your type before. But God damn, was he hot.

The aloof kid who sat in the back of your folklore lecture was fine. Even if he always glared at you whenever you'd try to talk to him, and his twin seemed far more welcoming than him, something about him drew you in.

Particularly the variety of earrings he wore. All on his left ear. From top to bottom, there was a bronze gear, something that looked like a wand, and a drum.

Maybe you were more impulsive than you ever thought you were, but you wanted to touch his earrings. Or maybe you wanted to flirtily caress his ear, using the earrings as an excuse. That's what your friend Kuro had teased when you'd told him about Gaku.

But you didn't think that was it. The drum in particular…it made you queasy sometimes when you looked at him.

So when the two of you were paired up for a project, and he had essentially told you, "Fuck off, I'll do it myself," you'd taken the opportunity to schedule meet ups with him. You were going to ask him about his earrings, god damn it!

It didn't go well…

"I just like them. Something wrong with that?"

"No-"

"You gonna judge me for my tattoos next?"

"You got tattoos?!"

"Let's just finish this project."

You stared at him in disbelief. He'd always been aloof, but that felt outright hostile. And he seemed to realize it, because he sighed, and looked up from his book.

"I'm not used to people being genuinely interested. Usually it's a lot of 'it's gonna be hard to get a job with those'."

You smiled in what you hoped was a reassuring manor.

"I just think they're really cool. That's all."

He stared and sighed, closing his book.

"I'm a mechanic on the side. The gear is for that."

"And?"

It was clearly a stare down now. Who would crack first?

You must have been lucky today.

"The one that looks like a stick is a wand. It's an onmyoji wand, we'll probably read a couple of stories about them this semester."

"Onmyoji…" you tested the word out, allowing yourself to taste the word. "I feel like I've heard that somewhere before."

"Yup," he muttered under his breath, moving to open his book again. If he did, you knew you'd never get to have this conversation again.

"And the drum?"

He stiffened. "I like drums."

"That's it?"

"It's not that deep." He seemed awfully insistent, but it wasn't worth pushing.

"And your tattoos?"

He glared, but seemed to soften when he saw your pleading gaze.

"God, Yura is never gonna let me hear the end of this," he said, pulling down his collar and revealing a butterfly tattoo by his heart. "That's the only one I'll show you, by the way."

"One last question!" You giggled as he groaned. "Can I touch your earrings?"

"What the fuck kind of a question- fine! You can touch them if we can finish our project in this sitting."

You got up from your seat, and moved to the one next to him, gently pushing a lock of his unruly hair behind his ear, and slowly caressing the ridge, fiddling with each earring as you reached it. You lingered longer with the drum, staring so intently at it you didn't notice his ears and face turning bright red, until he stood up, knocking his chair over, and muttering, "I'll see you tomorrow."

He rushed out of the cafe before you could even process what was happening.

You stared down at your hand, noticing your fingers were shaking.

Huh.

There's always this one handsome customer you get... At first, you flirted with him as a complete joke. But suddenly...as the days went by and he came to your coffee shop more often, you found yourself... Liking him.

Kagemaru:

He probably finds it really annoying at first, but the coffee you make is really delicious, so he comes back.

Finds your lines really cheesy, and he just ignores whenever you write your number on his cup.

Although, he really enjoys when there's loud and rude customers in your shop. Finds the way you handle things really entertaining. (Probably falls for you after watching you in these situations...)

He thinks your way of dealing with things makes you look pretty strong. The type of person that he could keep by his side.

So after he realizes his feelings, sometimes when he shows up as Yuzuru, "she'll" flirt back.

After a while, you could probably guess that he's Yuzuru. I mean their personalities are different, but their looks and the way they carry themselves is similar. It seemed pretty obvious, but you don't tell anyone.

The way he flirts is subtle, but straightforward. He never uses pick up lines, but he'll compliment you and your work sometimes.

He's not a very affectionate person, don't expect hugs or hand holding all too often. The most you'll get is him grabbing your arm and pulling you to his chest if he feels you're about to fall over or something.

When you finally ask him out, he's not afraid to randomly kiss you at work. He'll pull you towards him and give you a passionate kiss.

"What's witha flirtin'? If yer gonna make a move, ya gotta be straightforward. Like this."

Ginnojo:

This poor guy. He just wanted coffee, but you keep flirting with him and his heart can't take it.

He's super flustered.

Not used to these situations, but he really loves the coffee you make!

Pretty sure he rejects your number respectfully the first few times.

The pick up lines you tell him are always so flustering, so you've started giving him free cold bottles of water to cool him off.

He actually enjoys your attempts at flirting after a while, but he'll never flirt back.

He even accepts your phone number and will message you whenever he can.

Ginnojo realizes his crush when he feels a bit jealous after watching you say a pick up line to someone else.

It's quite the slow burn. But the ending is super sweet.

He's not too affectionate, but he'll sometimes give you light kisses on your check and will hold your hand in public. (Still a bit flustered, but he'll get used to it bit by bit.).

Even entering the relationship he's not used to your flirting antics.

You could very much be the reason for his death with how much you fluster him.

... And frankly, he wouldn't mind.

"Oh! Um, your... Number? Usually I'd reject, but... Okay...I'll message you sometime, so...message me back."

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and an ushi-oni. living life as a half-ayakashi has been hard, especially as one so volatile. you're often found at the piers alone, with a scowl on your face. recently, strange things began to happen around you.

✿ you were 22, while koga was 24. it'd been 8 years since your mother died, and 8 years since koga's parents died. neither of you had quite been the same since, just in different ways.

✿ you'd been out, brooding at the piers, staring at the comings and goings of the ships. your father was... around, somewhere, waiting on an another shipment that was coming in. that was probably why koga was there, to buy whatever was coming in. and via whatever link that you shared, he noticed you and was drawn to talk to you. though you weren't particularly enthused about this fact.

✿ koga didn't really mean to keep showing up in your day-to-day life, but he was a client of your father's and a well-known figure around the capital. and every time your paths crossed he attempted to hold a conversation, which you eventually got tired of rebuking. it didn't take long after that for your onmyoji powers to manifest and his true nature to be revealed.

✿ koga thought you most interesting. something about him was drawn to you, not only due to how lonely you seemed. he didn't like seeing people be lonely in the first place, but you especially he never wanted to see unhappy. to his unfortune, you seemed to always be that. you, admittedly, found koga to be compelling. or at least your soul did. you on the other hand mostly found him increasingly annoying with his attempts to talk to you. that, added with the constant strangeness surrounding you... well, it made you a bit grumpy about him to say the least.

≿━━━━༺❀ kuya ❀༻━━━━≾

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and a futakuchi-onna. your mother had incited a deep seated love for food in you (despite your "small" appetite) which lead to you apprenticing at many restaurants around the capital.

✿ you were 22, as was kuya. you'd been apprenticing at various restaurants around the city for six years, two years prior to that your mother had died. kuya was freeloading at koga's, as expected.

✿ kuya and koga had reservations at a restaurant you were apprenticing at. you were assigned as their chef, which was a problem as you'd recently begun to feel hungry, which is when your ayakashi-form is the most prone to appearing. after several incidents of almost getting caught (and having to stuff your second mouth with a tablecloth), kuya spared you by insisting that they leave.

✿ you weren't actually certain if kuya had picked up on your... strangeness, but when he came by a second time (alone) and asked for you to serve him again you were fairly certain he had. he didn't pry into it though, and simply became a regular at the place and a couple of others you often worked at.

✿ kuya found you weird, mostly. but fascinating for the bits he was actually awake for. you were quiet, didn't try and disturb him, and besides your sometimes odd behaviour you were cute. and maybe he was inexplicably drawn to you, but who's to say to that. kuya was so so nice. you didn't know if he meant to be, but he was. his visits often allowed you to calm down your more base urges in privacy, as he spent most of his time sleeping while visiting, which made your life far more easier than it'd ever been. he truly entered your life at a perfect time.

≿━━━━༺❀ ginnojo ❀༻━━━━≾

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and a nure-onna. you were often found around the city helping around children and animals. you're pretty known around the capital for watching over all the children and protecting them.

✿ you were 26, around the same age as ginnojo would be if he was human. dragon's age so strangely. it'd been over two decades since your mother died.

✿ you'd been organizing a little reading nook in the park, where you would be reading for the younger kids and the older kids could find books that they liked. so, you were scouring every bookstore in the city until eventually you ended up at ginnojo's. it was a very strange visit, as ginnojo was far too nervous to actually talk to you the whole time, but you found the best books there so your search ended in success.

✿ after the first time, you started frequenting his shop as it had the best collection of books you'd come across. that, and they all seemed oddly impervious to all the rain that happened when you happened upon a bad mood. ginnojo however did not get any better at actually talking to you.

✿ ginnojo found you attractive. it was as simple as that. you were an attractive alpha, and he had no idea how to interact with any part of that. not to mention, something about you seemed familiar. he couldn't place it, but he was sure that it was important. that you were important. ginnojo was very cute. he barely said a word to you, but you could tell that at least. and he felt like a kindred spirit in some sense. you couldn't really put your finger on it, so you mostly dismissed it as a crush on a cute omega. but it did nag you a little bit.

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and a baku. after your mother's death, you were tasked with her duties to look after the city and their dreams, which made you appear rather lazy, though endearing to the general population.

✿ you were 17 at the time, a year older than aoi. your mother had died exactly a decade prior, while aoi had been in the capital for almost two years.

✿ you were sleeping at the river bank, though really you were "working". aoi came to the same river bank to sketch, noticed you, and decided to sketch you. that night, while you were working again, you happened upon a dream that featured... you. that's how the two of you became aware of each other, but it wasn't until the next day that the two of you actually met at the river bank.

✿ the two of you would often "meet up" at the river, where you would get on with your individual work. the two of you rarely talked, but seeing as you were sleeping most of the time it wasn't a surprise. but it was a nice routine, that neither of you wanted to break.

✿ aoi found you very vexing. but also pretty, which made you a rather effective muse for his work. but you were still asleep almost every time he saw you, which he absolutely hated. at first anyways. weirdly enough, after a while he didn't much mind anymore. something about aoi made his dreams in particular very appealing to you. after the first night, you realized you'd visited his dreams plenty of times before, even for non-nightmare purposes. his subconsciousness drew you to him for some reason.

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and an akurojin-no-hi. you were most known for your habit of walking around the city on rainy nights, something you inherited from your mother. you think so, anyways.

✿ you were a mere 20 years old, though often you felt like you were far older. being basically just a living soul, you were extremely close to your past lives. yura was over a thousand, though technically to him you'd already met a long time ago.

✿ you were on one of your usual walks, it was a night and it was raining. everyone who knew you was expecting it. what no one expected, not even you, was the compulsion to head for the mountains. there, you ended up at a temple, and the two twins there saw you and invited you inside. something made you take that offer, even though similar ones had been made a million times before and you'd accepted none.

✿ after that you often ended up at the shrine, sometimes unintentionally, sometimes not. sometimes it wasn't even during a rainy night. regardless, you ever only accepted yura's offers to come inside from the rain.

✿ yura realized right away who you were, someone he had loved so dearly in the past had come back to him. his dear alpha. you didn't recognize him, but just being near you was enough for him, feeling your warm flames. yura felt like home, strangely enough. you felt like you knew him, like you should know him. you concluded that it was your soul who knew him, and that was why you let him invite you inside. so, you let your soul guide you back to him whenever it desired.

14. If you truly believe you can get me out of bed before 10 a.m., you're delusional.

You and your boyfriend were incredibly busy, you with your nightly patrols, him with his military career. But today was an off day for him, and since you only patrolled in the evening, you had gone to his house immediately afterwards so that you two could spend the night, then day together.

You woke up early, feeling pleased when you noticed Tatsu's arms still wrapped around you. You placed a gentle kiss to his forehead, to which he responded with a groan.

"It's too early," he bemoaned, not opening his eyes.

You giggled, giving him another kiss, this time to his cheek. "C'mon, we're supposed to spend the day together, just the two of us. Even my cat is not going to bother us today. Which I'll have you know, he's really pouty about."

"I'll never understand the relationship you and tama have," he said sleepily. He blinked his eyes open, and peered at you blearily. "You know I love you, and would protect you from anything right?"

"Yeah, but what does that have to do with…"

He grinned and kissed you, humming into the kiss. When he pulled away he pressed a finger to your lips. "I love you, but If you truly believe you can get me out of bed before 10 a.m., you're delusional."

"Aw," you said, stroking his hair, "my brave soldier is sleepy."

He closed his eyes again and leaned into your touch. "Mhm, and he promises to be in top form for his beloved after 10 a.m. Now you should go back to sleep too. Whatever project Aizen has you on that keeps you out at night can't be good for your sleep schedule."

"Still looking out for me, after all this time," you hummed, closing your eyes and nuzzling into his side.

"Always," he hummed.

It was the last thing you heard before you both drifted off to sleep.

The gentle breeze made a couple strands of your hair sway, making it touch your cheek. He noticed and tucked the strands behind your ear.

You hear him let out a soft sigh as you meet his purple colored irises. You can't help but feel mesmerized and gaze upon it for a couple more seconds til he broke contact. Due to the greediness you felt seeping into your mind you wrapped your fingers around his wrist then guided his hand to cup your cheek.

He was completely caught off guard but the expression on his face was quickly replaced by a gentle, welcoming smile where the warmth reached his eyes.

"Let's stay this way for a minute or so ...", you said as you shut your eyelids and listened to your surroundings.

The rustle of the leaves, chirping of avian creatures and ... the way he breathed. It was all so relaxing.

As you were lost in thought you felt soft lips against your own. A familiar knowing smile formed in an instant, it vanished when you moved your lips against his. The hand that was cupping your cheek slithered and settled on your nape as he pulled you closer and closer toward him.

The male felt his back on the grass as it tickled his skin. He didn't care if his long silver hair touched the ground as his free hand rests on your waist, the shift of your own weight made him feel aware of your every movement.

You pulled away to catch your breath and so did he. Both hearts thumping wildly in each other's chests he couldn't feel any happier than he is right now.

How he waited for this specific moment. To hold you in a way only he could.

To capture your lips with his knowing full well he is yours and you are his.

To see you in a different way, far beyond friends.

"Gaku ... What's in your mind?"

The way you said his name made him sit and scoop you in his arms where he let you sit on his lap.

You were clearly waiting for a response whilst twirling and untwirling his hair with a finger. Gaku buried his face on the crook of your neck before resting his chin on your shoulder.

"You.", He whispered softly, warm breath trickling right next to your neck as it sent shivers down your spine.

You could feel your cheeks burn immediately. It has already been months since you and Gaku started this romantic relationship yet the way he would make your heart flutter or make your cheeks blush happened as if it were the first time. Not to mention how he suddenly changes from his teenage form to his adult form which would almost always give you a heart attack. Let alone the teasing when you two were alone.

"A minute has already passed, y/n.", He began.

"I know. I wish we could stay this way forever.", you replied truthfully before placing a chaste kiss on his cheek.

Gaku remained silent and let his thoughts swallow him whole.

All his waiting for a thousand years was rewarded.

If death sweeps you in their arms and he would wait for you with no questions asked.

"Gaku?"

"Hm? Sorry about that. I was—"

You kissed him before he could even finish his retort. Not that he didn't mind but he knew you had an idea on what lurks in his mind.

"Let's ... Focus on what we have now. Besides you'll always have me."

The male was at a loss of words for a brief second before chuckling to himself.

"You'll fall for me every single time, is that right?"

"It is you who will fall for me first."

Gaku wrapped both arms around your frame and kissed your neck.

"I don't need to fall for you when my feelings shall remain the same. It shall never waver, y/n. For I am yours... "

"And you are mine.", you replied as you placed your forehead against his. The bond you both have for each other shall never break.

If it's okay:))) can I have a request of headcannons for the night faction? Wherein the s/o is together with the guys, then, the s/o new friend, who clearly likes her ( but doesn't realize it ), then ask her to go somewhere with him. After that, he shows her his true intentions and ask her to go for a date.

Clearly, the night dudes are just watchi'n as they see you reject the friend. But things went far cause the friend's started to force himself upon the s/o. I really want to know their reactions, how they deal the perv, and confront/lecture that friend.

I really hoped for this, tho it's okay if not.

🐈 Nachi’s ears were very good, which might be why he listened in the conversation of you and your friend’s. He couldn’t stop himself, because he wanted to know if you wanted to go on a date with that guy, that he had never liked, or not.

🐈 Thank goddess, that you had rejected him, but never had he thought that the guy Nachi disliked so damn much, would still try to force himself on you. He grabbed your wrist, whispering words in your ear, until Nachi had enough.

🐈 How dare that guy to touch you! His dear friend and crush! “Don’t you dare to touch her!” He screamed loud, running to you two, before he kicked the guy in the face, surprising not only you but also the creep.

🐈 “N-Nachi!” You wanted to say something, but your dear friend had grabbed your hand, running far away from the alley and away from that creep, while his lips curled up. Maybe now he looked like a prince to you and can swoop you off your feet one day!

🕷️ Worst mistake your dear friend could ever have done. He should never had asked you out on a date. Especially press you on a wall, whispering some words at you, while you shook in fear, trying to get away from the creep.

🕷️ “If I were you, I would let her go.” Kagemaru tried to give that creep a nice smile, even though the was mad. “What the hell do you want?” The man that you had called a criend, turned around, glancing at Kagemaru, before he gulped.

🕷️ Within a few seconds, he was lying on the ground, bleeding out of many injuries, while Kagemaru put his arm over your shoulder, turning you away from the guy.

🕷️ “Let’s go. I don’t want you near that guy… I’m the only one who may take you on dates.”

⛩️ He will be jealous, when he hears the creep asking you out on a date. That guy did something that Akiyasu could never do, fearing that you will reject him. But thankfully, you rejected that guy. Maybe one day, Aki will find some confidence and ask you out!

⛩️ A sigh left his lips, before he saw what was going on. That guy just forced himself onto you, while you tried to keep him off of you.

⛩️ “Get away!” He yelled out, surprising not only the two of you but also himself. “What the hell do you want?” The creep glanced at Aki, not noticing how you raised your foot and kicked him there where no man wants to get kicked at.

⛩️ “Uh…” He doesn’t know what exactly he should say, but you were there. Taking his arm and wrapping it with yours, as you walked with him away. “Thanks…” He heard you mutter, while his cheeks warmed up by a mere word.

🗡️ Good thing that his shift hasn’t ended and that he had hear you nearby. Tatsu had walked to you two with his sword in his hand, gazing at the creep with madness in his eyes.

🗡️ The poor guy nearly had pissed into his pants, forgetting that you had somebody like Tatsuomi as your friend. Maybe he should have left you, after you had rejected him so nicely.

🗡️ When you sigh in relief, Tatsuomi will be there. He belongs to the people who won’t feel jealous, but more protective.

📚 Yakumo raised his eyebrow, when he heard your voice. “Stop that!” He heard you scream at the man; you had once introduced to the blonde and had called a friend.

📚 “There you are, my love.” The blonde had immediately walked to you, grabbing you by the hand to pull you behind him. “I’m sorry, but (y/n) already has a boyfriend and that’s me.” He smiles at the guy.

📚 Slowly, he will move his head to the creep. “No leave.” He will whisper to him, before the blonde will turn around and kiss your forehead. “Thanks for helping out there, Yakumo… and playing my boyfriend.”

📚 “Playing? I was hoping to become your boyfriend.” He will smile at you, walking with you to a nearby café hand in hand, while you look up at him with flushed cheeks.

summary: While delivering antiques for your father, you have got lost in a town you have never been in .Feeling hopeless you look out in the balcony to enjoy the peace, doesn’t know that someone was watching...

Your father is to busy to eat with you these day, wanted your father to take a break, you agree to help him delivery some antiques.

“hm... look like i only need to delivery one more and it in... what?” a town name that you never been in before.

“Maybe someone here know where it is” you decided around hoping to know where it is.

1 then 2 then 3 and then 4... no one seams to know, maybe you should go by yourself or else it might become late. After a while you finally find out where it is.

“since i’m here now, where is house that need to delivery to... right” you begin to start walking again. Still looking for the house, this place is quite big. all the in here house is massive maybe the same side as toichio or maybe even bigger. Still you have promise your father you will done everything by the time he got home...

“it late, and i still don’t know where they live” feeling hopeless, you decided to take a rest before continue. Looking out in the sea, the wind is so nice make your hair flying in the wind, it quite peaceful.

No wait what are you even doing! you should start looking again and go home! Father must be worry sick! You turn around and see him

“Gaku? what are you doing here?” you ask him but he still haven’t answer.

“Gaku? hello? why aren’t you answering me?” its looking like he is mesmerize by something. You wave at him then suddenly he take your hand to pull you closer to him. He is... hugging you? what? his head rest on your shoulder while playing with your hair.

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and an umibozu. you were often at the pier, looking at the ships coming and going, the waves raging against the stones. it seemed to be the only thing bringing you peace.

✿ you were five, two years younger than aizen. your mother was the one still taking you to the piers, but she'd promised that soon you'd be allowed to go on your own. aizen had just recently been adopted.

✿ your mother was busy on that day, and your father had an important business partner over, so no one could take you to see the boats. you weren't having it, so the guest asked his son to take you. kyonosuke gladly took to the orders, and took your hand to guide you to your favorite place. he protected you the whole way fiercely, even though realistically there was no danger. he was like a knight to you.

✿ while aizen didn't come over nearly as much as tatsuomi, you liked him a hell of a lot more. mostly because when he did come over, he'd gladly entertain you and your obsession with boats. whether it be by taking you to the pier or helping you build your boats. and when your mother died, he was always the one to track you down from whenever you'd run off to that time.

✿ aizen couldn't really describe the feeling he had, the first time he met you. but he was certain it wasn't actually the first time the two of you had seen each other. but he was quick to dismiss the whole thing and move on to making sure you were safe in his presence. aizen very very quickly became like a hero to you, pretty much from the moment he took your hand and didn't say a single complaint about taking you to your favorite place. he was just so amazing in your eyes, just like he'd always been.

≿━━━━༺❀ teach ❀༻━━━━≾

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and an iju. no-one in town really knew much about you, mostly because you spent most of your time wandering around the mountains doing who-knows-what. but everyone did agree that you were very kind.

✿ you were 17, a whole year older than teach. after your mother's death several years prior, you'd pretty much moved yourself into the mountains permanently, only occasionally visiting your father.

✿ you'd been slowly fashioning yourself a house out of an abandoned temple when teach approached you alongside a small bakeneko who was looking worse for wear. you immediately invited them inside, your kind nature winning over any suspicion you might've had about a teenager and kid suddenly showing up. and that's how you ended up with basically an adopted son and a partner living with you.

✿ you and teach started living together after that, as sort of an unspoken agreement. and it didn't take long for it to unofficially become a small orphanage for various ayakashi children. and all this happened before you even realized it had. and by then it was a little too late to look back, not that you really wanted to.

✿ teach found you charming, in a quiet sort of way. you got things done, not a single complaint or a curse. that, and the sight of a strong alpha building a home is a beautiful sight for anyone, especially an omega guarding a kid. familiarity and all that. teach was a breath of fresh air in your life, that was for sure. most other people didn't take to your kindness that freely (too rough and tumble looking for most people's tastes). but you had a feeling that that had never and would never matter to him.

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and a chochin obake. you were mostly known for your impressive collection of old artifacts, your obsession with it the most people saw you. unless you were scaring someone half to death for fun.

✿ you were 20, and soon to be the proud owner of an antique store. at least, you were hoping so. and enju... well, his age will remain a mystery to all.

✿ you were on a tour of a small building you were hoping to buy. one of the previous employees was showing it, as the owner was apparently too busy. though, not too busy to show up right at the end of the tour, just as you were saying your goodbyes to the tour guide. enju greeted you, which made the small flame inside your chest brighten. he managed to notice it before you quickly covered it up.

✿ you didn't end up buying that particular building, it wasn't at a good place for your business, though enju promised to show you some other buildings he owned that might work better. that ended in a few dinners and a trip to the theater, and... well, those just never ended.

✿ enju found you fascinating, especially the small flame in you. for a while he thought you were something like him, but after a while he realized he was wrong. didn't make you any less beautiful in his eyes though, even when you failed to pick up on his courting signals. you thought enju to be... strange. but also one of the most beautiful things you'd ever seen. it made your flame burning brighter somehow even more embarrassing, especially since you couldn't get it to stop doing that around him.

≿━━━━༺❀ hiroyuki ino ❀༻━━━━≾

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and bakekujira. you were always followed around by various birds, and fish if you were close to water. this made you seem way scarier than you actually were.

✿ you were 16, just like hiroyuki. your mother had died ten years prior, so you were mostly over the whole thing. hiroyuki had just recently started in the army as a cadet.

✿ you were in the park, gazing into the lake while your little fish friends showed off to you. they were so pretty that you weren't paying attention to the amount of birds starting to gather around you. hiroyuki, a young cadet with a bit too much eagerness, saw that and became concerned. he ran to you quickly to ask if you needed help, to which you looked at him with the most amount of confusion ever.

✿ hiroyuki started noticing you around a lot after that, and realized that any time he'd seen a concerning amount of birds had probably been you. but now anytime he saw lots of birds he'd walk over and chat with you, which you were still confused about. but at least he was nice to your friends so you didn't mention the weirdness.

✿ hiroyuki mostly found you concerning. you were eerie, kind of scary, people avoided your path more than they did actual criminals... but you were still so nice. mostly you just wanted to sit around with your friends, though he was certain that wasn't all there was to you. you thought hiroyuki was weird, both for wanting to be around you and for being concerned for you. no one's ever concerned for you, aside from your father. but soon after meeting him, some part of you started looking forward to seeing him.

≿━━━━༺❀ zantetsu ❀༻━━━━≾

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and a daki. you were pretty much a hermit despite your apparent talkativeness, living on your boat when you weren't in the city with your father, which was starting to become rarer and rarer.

✿ you were 22, two years older than zantetsu. your mother had died 12 years prior, and you'd slowly been spending more time away from the city since. zantetsu was already part of the senkitai.

✿ you'd just come to the shore from a fishing trip and had gotten to roasting your catches. zantetsu had seen your fire from their current camp and came to investigate, at which point you spotted him and invited him to sit and eat with you. he was rather shocked at being noticed, and in his confusion took your invitation. which is how he ended up listening to you talk and talk for a few hours while eating roasted fish.

✿ zantetsu would find your fires every once in a while, at which point you'd invite him to sit with you again. he'd, for some reason, take your offer everytime. then he'd sit and listen to you for a few hours before leaving. after a while he even started talking back to you which got you talking even more!

✿ zantetsu really didn't know what to think of you, you were a weird ayakashi to him. at least, he assumed you were an ayakashi. normal humans don't live on their boats, he was fairly certain. but regardless, he wasn't really sure why he kept indulging you. your life was rather lonely a lot of the time, for someone who liked talking as much as you did, so zantetsu was a breath of fresh air whenever he appeared. he really grew on you, really quickly, and for some reason you didn't mind it.

✿ you were the only child of a famous art-dealer and a hinnagami. you were known mostly for your creepy, doll-like stare and your very insistent helpfulness. no one around you was safe from your need to be of use.

✿ you were about 23, though you've always felt much older, like there was chunks of your life you simply couldn't remember. doman was over a thousand, this time around anyways.

✿ you were out and about helping one of your neighbors with their shed. it was a bit deeper into the woods, and they were too old to make the trip anymore to get wood, so you'd gone instead. just as you were ready to leave with a back full of logs, you locked eyes with a pair in the woods. a flood of memories invaded you and the eyes turned fearful.

✿ remembering your past life with doman, your old hinnagami instincts took over and you essentially abandoned everything to follow the man around. you weren't really sure why he was so insistent on you leaving, you still had some holes in your memories, but you were determined to stay with him.

✿ doman was conflicted about meeting you again. your past was turbulent and complicated, your mutual obsession hadn't ended well that time. who was to say that this time would turn out better, especially with how you looked at him, so familiarly obsessive. you loved him. it was pretty much the only thing you were certain of upon meeting him, it was like everything about your life made sense. you knew it was possibly just your instincts as a half-hinnagami, but it didn't really matter. you just knew that you belonged together.
