Friendly reminder to my fellow elriels that just because the gwyriel fandom is noisy does not make it canon. Yall should seen the ouat swan queen yappers, they were nothing in the show but screechy fans.

Gwynrel doesn’t exist in the books. Az and gwyn have maybe 4 or 5 whole scenes. Neither gwyn nor azriel have shown ANY interest in each other. If they were supposed to be mates it would be obvious, they would spend time together, az would go feral when gwyn was in danger. SJM wouldn’t write a main characters mate in hardly half of book 6 where they still barely know each other at the end of the book.

Az has all that with elain in the actual books tho

I'm so tired of the Gwynriels 🤦🏻‍♀️ i swear that comment annoys me so much because it's equating feminity and showing emotions with weakness but i bet it's okay for Gwyn to be feminine sometimes, just for Az because she has that warrior princess side to balance it out! it all makes total sense! oh fuck y'all please..also what?? "I hate she has feelings for Az when he was made for Gwyn"??? someone tell Sarah and Az that 💀😭

I understand your frustration, and see this is why I avoid Instagram/TikTok for the most part because these horrific takes are just not it. Unfortunately I was apart of the OUAT fandom for years and our darling saviour was no stranger to the ridiculous belief that woman have to be rude/emotionless to be considered "badass". So I have trekked this mountain for far too many years.

Breaking it down quickly:

"I hate how she treats Lucien" is the first red flag and I would have stopped reading it there because it tells you what you need to know about this persons opinions on a woman's autonomy & right to not be interested in a man without being shunned for it.

Honestly the rest is a car crash after that, woman are not weak for feeling. Woman are not weak for mourning or crying. I feel sorry for the life OP is leading if that is what they truly believe.

She saved the core couples and a lot of others by proxy. She killed the big bad of ACOWAR by jamming a dagger through is throat. She is up for finding the troves despite any residual trauma. She battered hounds with her bare feet mid air. She stayed kind despite all the jealousy and darkness that came her way.

Even our original MC Feyre describes her strength as a better kind, really not sure what books some are reading but Elain has never been weak. Vulnerable? Yes. Healing? Yes. None of these things are bad & we're not considered so when it was Feyre or Nesta.

I think it is genuinely sad that a lot of it is "i hate elain/her feelings because..." when there is no just reason for it, aside from wanting Azriel (or Lucien in some cases) to end up with someone else & that is truly sad.

As if Elain who has been developing a bond with him for three books doesn't have a right to have feelings for him, disregarding all of SJM's build up because you want him to be with "insert female".

Honestly for the sake of my sanity I prefer to stay away from the other side (as much as possible, some things bleed through ofc) because nothing good comes from looking for things that will upset/annoy you. This is a process I have to keep reminding myself of to be honest, because it is so easy to fall in to the drama and get upset, we are all human. We all have curiosities. But stepping back for the most part is the healthiest approach I have found since this fandom imploded.

There will always be some god-awful takes out there [elain's uterus/toxic az/elain "deserving"] but it isn't my place to change anyones mind or convince them they are wrong.

If they want to live in that reality let them, at the end of the day, the next book will still be Elain Archerons. Elriel will still collect their endgame. No amount of hate mongering is going to change that, and that is why I (and you all) can rest easy.

On consideration, I am fully against a second season of Good Omens.

I just on a whim (saw some activity in my notes) reread some of my old OUAT posts and yeah, let a good thing rest at being a good thing. Don’t draw it out until it becomes a parody of its own intent. Not that I am even comparing Kitsowitz to Gaiman as writers--obviously he’s excellent and they’re execrable--but the series ended at exactly the sweet spot that let people hope for everything they want.

Maybe a half-hour Xmas special on the model of Staged with lots of domesticity and the Them being cute (and meeting Warlock) and Anathema having a Solstice party and Shadwell being cleaned up and Az and Crowley moving into the South Downs cottage--but please, no more.

Hi! I’m from Phoenix, AZ originally and now live outside of Pittsburgh, PA. My favorite OUAT moment is when Emma opens the door to Killian in their first date. I don’t have a new favorite show. At least nothing as obsessive as OUAT was. I really like This is Us, but I’m still behind on last season. Where do you get your ideas for fanfic? My favorite ice cream flavor is Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food. I prefer city over country (need those 24 hour places) and definitely mountains over oceans.

Hi!! Are the summers better in PA than AZ? Personally, I don’t like summers anywhere. Give me fall all year ‘round!!

Okay, confession... I’m not a fan of the CS date. HOWEVER! That reveal of Hook when Emma opens the door is pretty damn spectacular.

I haven’t seen This Is Us. The promos never really grabbed me.

Where do I get my fic ideas?? Um... from random places? Sometimes they are inspired from sources like movies or other tv shows. I’ve been inspired by lyrics, art, photographs, prompts, etc. More times than I care to admit, I’ve had a fic come to me in my sleep. The muse is a bit of a magpie.

That was another flavor I had to go Google, lol!!

I can totally understand the need for 24hr convenience. I’d still choose country, though. I like my space!

Very caring and decent kid but with an inferiority complex/insecure. He grew up with siblings who outshone him in everything but he’s gotten used to it. He’s “okay with it”. But is a bit more hurt than he lets on. Thinks he’s a plain Joe.

Gets surprised when people compliment him tbh

He constantly doubts his abilities and this has hindered him from accomplishing so many things or reaching/developing his skills further.

Ends up being a follower; doesn’t really step up even when the situation demands it; doesn’t question authority that much either even when needed

Kind of awkward and absent-minded. Like he zones out a lot. Not very talkative (just right tbh) but will listen to you.

Isn’t really that into Broadway but absolutely loves Wicked. Also he can’t sing for shit but that won’t stop him from trying!!!!

Is super into baseball and a complete film junkie (he has lists and lists of films that he has watched and will watch). Always down for movie night!

Wants to be the very best like no one ever was and gets upset when she doesn’t get lead roles.

Very spoiled and is a totally daddy’s girl. Also very petty.

Lives for musical theater! It is her goal in life to watch every musical in Broadway and eventually perform in Broadway...if not then be a drama teacher.

Doesn’t really enjoy Camp that much but goes bc Phillip goes and her dad told her to. People have flashier powers than her.

For anyone new here, Hi, hello, and welcome!!! Little Moon Dance started with mermaid drawings and ballet drawings (around 2014), then jumped into one of my favorite fandoms - Disney, stayed there for many years, and I’ve been sharing other fandoms I also love over the last couple of years. I’m a mom to three kids (ages 8 and younger) who also inspire my artwork. Besides drawing I love to binge watch shows, read, drink hot chocolate, go to target, and stay cozy. If I could just pick up my life and move anywhere I’d go to Scotland, Ireland, New Zealand, or the Pacific Northwest. We have been living in AZ for almost three years. The fact that people ship Bryce and Azriel together SERIOUSLY is the fuckin funniest thing to me I swear to god…this is one of the weirdest fandoms I have ever been a part of. Has no one ever heard of crackships and just having fun?? You guys would’ve hated the OUAT fandom LMAO…we knew (for the most part*cough*sq*cough*) that our random ship was just that. Random.

Not every pairing you like has to be canon and endgame for you to enjoy it. I promise. And trust me they won’t be so stop getting your panties in a goddamn twist. Its like half this fandom has zero critical thinking skills and can’t interpret a dang thing. Is it mean to say I’d hate to run across some of you in the real world? You’d probably think I was flirting with you….you’d be shipping us together if I just said hi!.

Azriel is literally shipped with everyone he interacts with and shipped very seriously, hes not even flirting with them and the fandom sticks him with them. And hes only ever shown actual romantic interest in TWO people. Mor and Elain if that wasn’t obvious.

Besides elucien none of the others are even an option in canon(not that i think they’ll get together but at least their mates for godsakes).

Imagine me, shipping Nesta and Azriel, and non stop harassing Nessian shippers. Its the same thing. It COULD happen but it won’t happen because I can interpret what the author is trying to convey when Az and Nesta interact.

I would die for Elriel but how can you be so sure that they’ll end up together? Because while I don’t ship Az with Gwyn, I feel like there’s solid evidence they could be a thing. But then again I can’t imagine a book focused around only Gwyn and Az because what would that even be about? I don’t know what I’ll do if Elriel doesn’t end up being canon, but how can you be so sure about them? And what’ll you do with your whole page if they don’t end up together?

I mean for all the reasons I have listed on my page before, I have a pinned post which is a good master-list of my thoughts and why I have those opinions, they are endgame. I don’t have even a shred of doubt about it. I would recommend browsing that list, for sure if you are doubting.

What solid evidence is there that he will end up with Gwyn? I don’t see it personally, but I am always here to listen.

Well they will end up together but irregardless my tumblr will continue to go on as my interests evolve, I have been here for 7/8 years? Over that time it has shifted significantly, at one point it was primarily OUAT/CS, now it is majorly Elriel/ACOTAR, this place evolves as my own mind and feelings do! ❤
