PUTTING YOUR BABY TO SLEEP

Members: Ushijima Wakatoshi, Asahi Azumane, Oikawa Tooru

Genre: Fluff

Summary: How they put your baby to sleep at night when you’re very exhausted from the sleepless night.

A/n: I’m just having a baby fever once more. I don’t know if I should do a part 2 for this or perhaps a different drabble about them being fathers hehehe. Thoughts? Just send in an ASK hahahah

Ushijima Wakatoshi

You wouldn't even notice him quietly getting up from your shared bed the moment he hears his one-year old daughter beginning to cry. He knew how much you've been tired for the past few days especially now that your baby is having a fever. It's been the fourth time your baby cried tonight. Before you even hear the baby cry, Ushi is already getting up and walking over to the crib in the room. Ushi has always been gentle with the way he carries his daughter. He slowly picks up his daughter and heads out to the living room. His daughter continues to cry on his shoulder. He on the other hand sways and bounces a little to lull her daughter to sleep.

"I know, sweetheart. I know," he'll say in a comforting manner. He'll lightly pat his daughter's back trying to calm her down.

"I know you want mommy right now, but mommy's really tired, sweetheart," he'll say.

Though, the more he talks the more his daughter's cries die down as she listens more to his voice. Ushi continues to lightly pat her back and sway.

It doesn't even take long before you notice that your husband is not beside you anymore. You find them in the living room and just in time you hear your husband speak to your daughter.

"Love you, sweetheart,"

Asahi Azumane

Asahi is the type of person that at the moment he sees you exhausted he would immediately take matters in his own hands. This shy and soft man is the most responsible husband and father you could ever have. Before sleeping, he’ll transfer the crib (which is originally beside your side of the bed) to his side of his bed. Through the night, he wouldn’t even let you get up the moment your baby cries. He immediately gets up, picks up his daughter and head out to the living room.

“We should let mommy sleep for a while, okay? Tomorrow morning you, me, and mommy will go out in the park,” you’ll hear him talk and talk as he slowly swings his body to put his daughter to sleep.

You on the other hand, who is supposed to sleep, sneaks a peak at the father and daughter bonding in the living room. You couldn’t help but just smile at the sight.

When they get back to the room, Asahi slowly puts his daughter on the crib and he pulls the crib closer to the bed. With the railing slightly down, he continues to pat his daughter as he also lays down on the bed. Eventually, he did that for the next two hours.

Oikawa Tooru

The moment Tooru noticed how drained and tired you’ve been for the past few days, he then realized that he’ll have to step up. Therefore, on one night when you are already asleep, he makes sure that the crib is on his side of the bed (just like what Asahi did). Though, knowing for sure that you’ll refuse him to do that since he has to wake up early for volleyball training, he’ll do it while you’re asleep. He’s more attentive than ever throughout the night. A little whine from your daughter, he’s immediately standing up and slowly picking her up. He then carries his daughter to the living room.

However, you get used to the time when your daughter cries awake, you immediately notice it. You wake up and see that the crib is not anymore beside you and your husband is nowhere to be found as well. You then walk out of your room and you immediately see the sweetest moment you could ever witness. Your husband is sitting on the couch with your daughter in his arms. Your daughter’s head resting on his shoulder as he pats her to sleep. Not just that, you also hear your husband humming a melody that surely made your daughter stop crying and go back to sleep.

Then when your daughter is sure to be back asleep, he gives her daughter a kiss on the forehead.

“Sweet dreams, little one,” then he goes back to the room. You on the other hand give your husband a sweet kiss on the forehead as well when he sees you just by the door frame.

“Thank you,” you tell him as the three of you go back to sleep once more.

You two have been together for as long as you remember, him proposing to you with a Garnet ring simply shows his faithfulness to you as the stone represents that he will unconditionally love and protect you as his partner.

Tanaka Ryuunosuke - Aquamarine

As passionate as Tadashi is for you, the gem he chose for you engagement ring, shows it as well, the Rhodochrosite represents his selfless love for you. he didnt understand

really he didnt

why you were so...nice to him

how you ended up going out with him was beyond him

usually days like this wouldnt bother him

he was used to hearing small comments about you two being together on the streets

“do you think he’s threatening them?”

“doesnt he seem a bit old to be going out with them?”

“he kinda looks like a thug i hope theyre okay”

but today

today he for some reason couldnt get those words out of his head

you noticed his change in demeanor as you walked hand in hand down the street

the sun illuminated the sky with pinks and oranges as the day was coming to an end

of course you had noticed the stares and small whispers around the two of you as you were on your date

you hated them just as much as he did and you wanted to clear the air before it got any worse

so you stopped and pull him over to a bench

“asahi..tell me whats on your mind”

you felt the grip on your hand tighten ever so softly

“y/n”

he felt his voice tremble

he couldnt even collect his thoughts

where does he even start?

“take your time. i’ll always be here waiting to listen”

the soft smile on your lips made him want to just kiss you then and there

his heart was both clenching put of the love he had for you and the anxiety he held in as well

he saw the look of shock run across your face

but just as quickly as it came, it left

and once the shock was gone you tilted your head in confusion with furrowed eyebrows

it had been a simple answer

but to asahi it was enough

enough to chase away the tiny doubts he had in his heart

enough for him to release the anxieties that plagued him

he looked up at you with glossy eyes and a gentle smile that you had known all too well

HOW ARE HAIKYUUS IN THEIR STUDIES

Sorry if this took long. I only chose the Karasuno team if that is alright 😅. It's short but I hope it is something of interest to you.

Members: Daichi Sawamura, Nishinoya Yuu, Hinata Shoyo, Asahi Azumane

Genre: Fluff

Daichi Sawamura

Favorite Subject: History

I have a feeling that Daichi is really interested in history. He’ll be able to memorize every year or events that were discussed in class. Compared to all of the subjects, he has more notes for this class. He may even have extra and trivial matters as well under his sleeves. In terms of his classes in general, he is a good student. He’ll be able to do the needed assignments quickly and just on time. He’s always the leader when it comes to group work. Knowing how much he can be when he is mad, his group members would do their part of the work too. He already has that captain vibes wherever he goes.

Nishinoya Yuu

Favorite Subject: P.E.

Noya has too much energy in him. He wants to get moving. He’s not as fond of long discussions. This is probably the reason why Ennoshita (as I remember in the series) takes a close eye on him. Though, he is always excited for P.E.. He always love the activities and exercises set for it. He’ll do his assignments, but often he’ll do it before he goes back to school. He’s not exactly fond of doing all the needed work back at home because all he wants is to sleep after a long day.

Hinata Shoyo

Favorite Subject: Science

I’m not sure how to explain why I think Hinata likes Science. I just imagine him being in awe whenever he participates in experiments. He just loves the things the experiments can do. Sometimes, he can even be a little loud as it is when the color in one of the tubes changes. The teacher sometimes tells him off because of it. However, in terms of studying, he doesn’t have quite the knack of it. He gets troubled when it comes to the formulae needed in the subject. He also has trouble remembering dates or events in history. However, if he has the motivation to do it, he’ll do it. He’ll do everything just to make sure he gets the grades he needs.

Asahi Azumane

Favorite Subject: Art

Since he had a developing interest in designing clothes (as mentioned in the timeskip), he also had an interest in art. Whether it be painting or other forms of art, he’ll work hard on making his art. He’ll be serious in making sure that he manages to make good art. His teacher would also praise him for his great work. As for his other studies, he’s also okay with it. An average A student. He’ll work hard on his other subjects too. He’ll spend late nights if need be, especially if there is an exam coming up. He won’t do anything unless he makes sure he has finished everything.

Summary: What do they do together with you during a rainy day?

DAICHI SAWAMURA

I think he's the kind of guy who would feel relax during a rainy day.

He would take this day as his day off from his rowdy team members.

At home, he would rather stay in bed while he hugs you tight by the waist.

You two would fall asleep until the afternoon as the raindrops sound becomes a lullaby to the two of you.

Even if you two are finally awake, you two will just stay in bed.

You two will just talk about a few trivial things. Exchange stories. Lazily laugh together.

You two would only come out of the room when you two finally needed to eat.

You two would eat instant ramen and probably watch the rain still dropping from out the window.

You insist on doing the dishes, but he'll have you sit on the couch instead.

When he's finished, he finds you asleep on the couch curled like a ball.

He may have sat next to you and watch you sleep.

"Am I really that pretty?" You'll ask him with eyes closed.

"Very much. Gorgeous," he'll reply and pull you into his arms and let you rest on his chest.

KOSHI SUGAWARA

Rainy days are probably his favourite.

When it rains, he's the kind of person who probably has a few things in mind to do.

When you are still in bed asleep, you'll probably feel some nuzzling on your neck and he'll ask you to wake up.

Though, even if you want to stay in bed, you wouldn't be able to refuse after smelling that freshly brewed coffee.

Once you get up, you'll find him bringing a breakfast-in-bed tray.

"What's the occasion?" You ask

"We should do something fun and relaxing," he'll answer

After the awfully delicious breakfast, you'll find yourself cuddling with him on the couch and binge watching.

He's not much of the words, so he'll pamper you even if you're not even asking for anything.

He'll bring some snacks for the two of you.

He'll subconsciously massage your hands as you two watch.

He'll bring a blanket for the two of you to cuddle in.

You'll eventually feel bad that he's pampering you, so you reciprocate it by showering him with kisses

Eventually, it'll be sweet kisses under a rainy day

ASAHI AZUMAME

He's not really much of a rainy day person, but when it does rain, he'll simply read a book

You might be the one who gets bored

He'll suggest a few things you two can do such as watching a movie, but none of it are you interested.

Except for one thing…

He told you to change your clothes and so you did

He brings you to a nearby small local coffee shop

He'll buy your favourite drink and you two will sit on a table near the window

You two sit in silence and watch the rain pour down

You two just drink on each other's presence and let the rain make it more warm

NISHINOYA YUU

I do not think he would be the type of person who would stay at home on a rainy day.

He’ll take this opportunity to do something fun.

He’ll drag you outside your apartment.

You probably insist on bringing an umbrella if you two are going out, but he simply drags you out of the apartment leaving the umbrella you are holding.

Without hesitating, he’ll walk out of the building and let the rain pour down on him.

You probably would have told him he’ll get sick, but he only laughs and says “It’s fun!”

Though, it does not take long before you join him in the rain.

He holds you and you two run down the sidewalk disregarding the people’s odd glances at the two of you.

You two would stop at a bus stop and simply sit on the bench watching the rain

“It is fun,” you’ll answer

You two go back home the same way again.

RYUNASUKE TANAKA

He knows for sure that you are a sucker for those movies with kissing-in-the-rain scenes.

However, whenever you ask him if you two can do it, he’ll refuse because he doesn’t want you to get sick from the rain.

When it rains again, you did not bother asking him and let go of it, though, he may have been thinking about it for a while.

The moment the rain pours down, he immediately pulls you out of the apartment with an umbrella on his other hand.

He opens the umbrella and makes sure you don’t get wet.

He brings you to a park and you’re unsure what he plans to do.

You two stand in the middle of the park with an umbrella still above your heads.

However, he brings the umbrella down letting you two get wet.

“What are-” he cuts you off with a kiss.

You did not wait to respond to it. Your heart probably melted in the middle of a cold rain.

After a kiss so short and long, he pulls up the umbrella over your heads again.

“Come on. Let’s go home and dry you up,” he says with a smirk.

CHIKARA ENNOSHITA

I think he’s also similar to Daichi.

He would rather stay at home and relax.

Probably sleep the whole day, but you might be the one who insists that you do something different.

He’ll then set up the coziest way to watch a movie.

Pillows surrounding the two of you on the floor.

Popcorn and different snacks upon reach.

In contrast to the relaxing mood, you two will watch some thriller movies or anything that just gives you that rush of adrenaline.

You two may have watched at least 5 movies before you two fell into slumber in each other’s arms.

TOBIO KAGEYAMA

Kageyama may have been the kind of person that would rather go to the gymnasium to practice than to stay at home.

You’ll see him getting ready to go to the court, but you try to stop him.

He won’t stand down even if it’s you; therefore, you come with him instead.

Though, you don’t mind coming with him. You like the sound of rain against the roof of the gymnasium.

You’ll bring snacks for the two of you.

You let him train while you also do your thing.

There would be a time that you’ll help by throwing the ball back at him.

However, it does not take long before he sits beside you on the floor.

You two would eat the snacks you brought.

Eventually, the whole time would just be the two of you sharing stories or just anything to talk about each other.

SHOYO HINATA

Whether it be raining or not, you two would always do something fun during his break.

You two would end up doing things at random such as making a fort, watching a really scary movie, or playing the most random games.

However, this time, he thought that maybe you two could bake.

He thought you two could bake some cake.

However, it doesn’t really end well.

“Hinata, stop playing with the flour,”

After an hour or so, the kitchen is a mess. Flour is everywhere and even on your faces.

An attempt to make creamy icing failed as well after Hinata kept on scooping some and ate it.

The only thing that is a success is the chocolate cake from the oven.

You two did not bother designing it, and just went with eating it from the pan.

“Do you want some milk?” he’ll ask.

KEI TSUKISHIMA

This man may not even notice that it’s raining because of the headphones.

Though, when he notices that you’ve woken up from your slumber does he remove his headphones and hear that it's raining. “What should we do today?” He’ll ask.

Though, you may have been prepared for this kind of situation.

You may have taken his love for dinosaurs too seriously that one time when you stumbled upon a dinosaur onesie, you bought it.

“I...I am not wearing that” he’ll say but there might have been an ounce of interest in wearing it. You know for sure.

Therefore, you two ended up wearing dinosaur onesies.

You made sure that you still have that strawberry shortcake.

While watching a movie in your onesies, you two eat the cake and ask for nothing else.

Though, he may have forgotten that Yamaguchi will drop by to borrow something from Tsukki.

So, when Tsukki opened the door forgetting that he was still in his onesie, Yamaguchi was surprised and speechless as it is.

It was only when his best friend left that he realized he’s still in the onesie.

A part of him probably felt embarrassed, but then seeing you in the onesie as well and smiling, it seems he didn’t mind anymore.

TADASHI YAMAGUCHI

Rainy days are also his shower with a kind of love day.

He’ll also be the kind of person who’ll stay in bed and sleep. You know for sure that he’s probably tired from the extensive practices he’s doing to make sure he doesn’t let down his group.

Though, during times like these, you make sure you shower him with affection.

When he wakes up, you already ordered his favourite soft fries and make sure he has one order for himself.

He’ll also stay cooped up with you on the couch and just talk for hours as you two eat some fries and probably some ice cream sundae to pair it as well.

You two let the rain be your background music.

From time to time, you’ll always shower him with compliments and tell him how great he is.

He’ll probably blush every time you give him a kiss or compliment him in any way.

You two wouldn’t do much the whole day, but talk about so many things.

Maligayang Pasko

Maligayang Pasko! (Merry Christmas!) Since Christmas is around the corner, I thought about joining the 12 days of Christmas challenge. However, to give it a little twist, I’m putting a Filipino themed Christmas into it.

Each prompt relates to some kind of tradition I often do (that is also very Pinoy). Christmas Morning

DAY 12: CHRISTMAS MORNING

Pair: Asahi Azumane x gn!reader

Genre: Fluff

Word Count: 835

Summary: In Christmas morning, Asahi seems to want to have that conversation over a cup of coffee.

A/n: YAY I’VE FINISHED THE CHALLENGE. I don’t know if this is anything good, but I hope you guys like it. Also @ice-icebaby I remembered you want me to tag you here lol. Hope you like it as well lol

It sure feels nice waking up to your husband, Asahi Azumane. He’s like a living human heater. You can’t help but just snuggle closer to him. Sometimes knowing how warm your husband is, you can’t help but slip your hand under his shirt to get a feel of his warm skin. However, the last you did that, Asahi flinched from your cold hands. Therefore, you keep your hands to yourself to not distract your husband from his sleep. You tend to just grab a fistful of his shirt and pull him closer.

When you feel him moving, you immediately pull him. “Warm,” you just mumbled. He just chuckles and pulls you closer. He lands a sweet kiss on your forehead.

“Alright, I’ll keep you warm,” he said.

Though it doesn’t take long before the two of you hear a fuss from the first floor of the house. You didn’t bother yourself about it even a single bit. You simply snuggle closer to your husband. Your husband on the other hand opens his eyes and looks in the direction where he heard the sound.

“What was that?”

You simply hum and pull him down to lay back on the bed again. “It’s fine,”

“Shouldn’t we check that? It might be an intruder,” Asahi said.

You simply smile at your husband’s frantic state. You slowly open your eyes and look at your husband with still a bed hair. You pull a strand of his hair behind his ear. “That’s how it is on Christmas mornings here in my parents’ house, my love,” you said.

“You get intruders?” Asahi sure just woke up.

“No. It’s Christmas morning; hence, it’s preparation time. Visitors will be coming in two hours,” you then push yourself upright.

“Visitors?” Asahi watches you get up and go to the cabinet. “I didn’t know we’ll have visitor,”

“You can say that it’s already an unspoken invitation. Relatives often come here after the mass. They’re already preparing the food for them. So, let’s get ready,” you said as you rummage through the cabinet.

“Oh…I see,” Asahi said, which sounds more like he’s hiding something.

You turn to him and see him zoning out for a moment.

“Knock knock,” You said with a smile.

He blinks and looks at you. “Yeah?”

“Anything wrong?” you asked.

“Oh. No….not really,” he said with an awkward smile.

You then put out the casual dress you plan to wear then put it on a chair before you go back to sit at the edge of the bed.

“You’re hiding something from me, aren’t you,” you chuckle before you poke him on his side.

He chuckles. “No. Not really. I didn’t know we had visitors, I was hoping to just have a morning coffee date with you. I want to talk to you about something,”

You lift your eyebrows in anticipation. “Can’t you tell me now?”

“Well, I was cutting out any possibilities of me ending up being too excited and just-” he blushes and looks away from you.

“Hm?”

“I’ve thought about it…the one you asked me a few days ago,” he said with a bite of his lip.

“Oh, right,” he chuckled awkwardly.

Asahi smiled and nodded. You immediately jumped on him for a hug. You wrap your arms around him and give a tight hug. You sure couldn’t contain the excitement. It all feels real. It wasn’t just two years ago when you simply dreamt of this day. Finally, you two are about to open a new chapter. You can’t wait for that to happen. You pepper him with kisses all over his face before you stand up from the bed.

“We can go to the coffee shop after the visitors leave. They just stay here for two or three hours. We can go to the coffee shop and go back before dinner,” you said as you grab the dress you are to wear.

“Oh, that’ll be great. We can talk about baby names,” Asahi shifts and gets up from the bed.

You turn to him with your heart fluttering at the words. It’s been so long since you’ve wanted to have that cute conversation. You’re not even pregnant yet but you sure would want to just think of the future you two are about to embark on together.

Though, Asahi is not as sneaky as he can be. The second or third time, she may have seen him going to her table and leaving the chocolates and flowers. Therefore, she may have begun approaching him in class and just simply having a conversation with him. The chocolates and flowers continue on, but then she does not expect him to walk to her and give the chocolates and flowers.
