Power movement!

I attended this event that was part of the III Empowerment and Black Consciousness Week in São José do Rio Pardo, Brazil. This man was attention-grabbing yet elusive. He twirled, jumped, swayed, but there was something a little wild in his manner that made people try not to pay too much attention to the commotion. I caught snippets of phrases like "come get me if you can handle it" or "the attack happens eye to eye," subtly instructing the kids attending a nearby capoeira workshop. Later, he went to greet the municipal guards (I noticed one of them only accepted a fist bump). Soon after, he stormed off, cursing, claiming racial insult, accusing the guard of disrespect and not knowing how to talk to others. He was angry, huffing and puffing, kicking, spinning, and provoking his enemies in the air, just as he arrived, he left, at a speed that didn't allow me to get close and ask his name. Paying attention to all this, I increased the camera's speed and clicked to capture his movements. When I looked at the results, I was surprised by the beauty of his movements and gestures, shrouded in an invisibility cloak that we were there to combat.
