Whenever there's any media im interested in, unless is a videogame (and that's a big unless, i have even pirated Pokemon), my first instinct is to go and research for hours a way to find it for free. In my mind it never crosses the idea to go and pay a big corporation for something i can easily search.

Maybe is because i have grown in a poor country. Maybe is how since i was little I was taught in my school to not fail to the corporations' mindset that they can own you. That there's always a way out of the paywall.

Just watched Manlybadasshero's let's play of the game South Scrimshaw and let me tell you

This is what stories about animals should be about

The game is a fake documentary of a species of adapted whales in an alien planet but it's so fucking good and if you love biology/ecology/animals give it a watch

And i love that the writer of this Visual Novel doesnt anthropomorphise the animals. Because that's what an animal story should be about. Their lives are amazing without having to give or interpret them in a human behavior mannerism

I want to reach that kind of storyline with my own stories

Im not usually someone who compliments myself, but yesterday i noticed i indeed have improved with my art

I dont follow the usual work flow of doing a comic. People tend to work on individual pages one by one, progressing the story while reading the feedback. In my case i have already sketched all the pages im going to draw for this Act. Dialogue and everything. I had them all ready moths ago, so i dont get fixiated on the opinions of the readers. It's all structured, i just need to clean it up.

Which makes me go into my improvement. Because months ago i made poses of the characters in THAT moment i could draw. But now, im able to draw new ones and fixed what I couldn't at that time. And it shows.

That's something, again, i dont usually notice about myself. Not because i always feel at my best, it's the opposite, i always feel at my worst.

So for the first time in years, i actually felt...good.
