Something I love about Spider-Man as a character: even if there's no big villain to fight, he's still a hero.

On days when there's no crime at all, he's out helping someone carry their groceries or giving directions to someone who's lost. He doesn't need anything negative to fight; he's just actively trying to make the world a safer, kinder, better place. That's what makes him a hero.

concept, cause the dynamics at play would be super interesting:

when Tuk and Neytiri are sucked into the hold of the Seadragon, what if Spider, unwilling to watch another one of this baby siblings, nor his siblings mother (despite everything cause he's a good kid), die without doing anything, jumps in after them?

they're now stuck in a flooding ship, spider knows his way around to a decent extent, they're all tired, they're all scared, they're all hurting. they have to depend on each other for survival.

Neytiri has to not only trust Spider, but has to follow his lead, has to trust him to guide her around a demon ship, has to untrust not only her own life, but the life of her youngest child to this boy.

Maybe they're separated, they have to find one another (my personal favorite scenario is that Tuk and Spider are together and he has to try and find her/guide Neytiri to him)

Spider taking Neytiri and Tuk's arms so they aren't separated by stray currents and raging waters (a parallel to "Sully's stick together"). Spider talking them through the breath holds he learned as a kid in case his mask malfunctioned before bringing them through the depths of the submerged ship (parallel to Jake and Lo'ak)

anyway. I just can't stop thinking about it. think about it.

Neytiri is faced with the fact that Spider jumped in after her and Tuk. he came for them, he put himself in danger to save them, to save her daughter. even after what she did to him. even after she held a knife to him, after she cut him, after she intended to kill him even after Kiri was released. he still jumped to her aid, even if he could have stayed with Kiri above deck where he was safe, he could have just aided Tuk and left her behind, but he didn't.

and there's so many ways to play with it and the aftermath. like.

Spider dragging both Tuk and Neytiri up the surface, trying his best to keep the trio afloat (namely Neytiri who was much less adjusted to the water and is exhausted by the night they've had) as they hope and pray to be reunited with the rest of their family.

maybe the stress gets to them and Spider just starts apologizing. I should have fought them harder. I shouldn't have let Lo'ak and Neteyam try and leave with me, I would have been fine. I should have seen it coming, should have taken it myself. it should have been me. my baby brother shouldn't be dead.

maybe he becomes partly delirious as he too gives into exhaustion, the big brother in him being the only part of him left coherent, so he takes Tuk close, whispering prrnen tsmuke [baby sister] over and over into her braids, assuring himself that she's safe and unharmed. he keeps praying to the Great Mother for his siblings to return to him unharmed. maybe he keeps asking where they are, if they're safe as his awareness fades and his memory weakens. all of his siblings. asking if Neteyam is ok, only to remember he's gone the second the words leave his tongue.

Jake and Lo'ak finding them when they come up with Payakan, both worse for wear, exhausted, clinging to one another, the only thing keeping their heads above water being spiders life vest, Tuk cradled between them. what a sight.

Neytiri watching as Spider looks over each of his siblings, taking them close, holding onto them as if they will be ripped away from him. the realization that he would die before he let that happen again hitting her like a ton of bricks the second she sees the look in his eyes.

a peace being made between the two in the wake of this event. spider silently claiming the role of big brother (he always was, but he had to pretend he wasn't. with Neteyam gone, he can't pretend he's not anymore), Neytiri silently agreeing.

Random question- does Miguel know that Ronin is a ninja?

As in, like he obviously knows that he's a ninja, but have they ever fought together or has he seen him fight? I know they met when they were younger, but I feel like Ronin Mikey is very soft now, especially with his kids.

OOO or- on the other side- has Ronin Mikey seen Miguel fight?

Just wondering :3

Miguel definitely knows and they definitely sparr together sometimes, just for funsies and whenever Mikey wishes to not go rusty on his training.

I depict them having a fairly peaceful life (outside of Miguel's spidey job) so, they actually haven't fought side by side to an actual threat together they'd be so cool tho.

While Miguel hasn't actually seen Mikey fighting to his full potential against an enemy, he has seen other versions of Mikey fight while checking on different universes because of the spidey job. He can imagine how badass his own Mikey can be considering what he has witnessed.

In Mikey's case, he hasn't actually seen Miguel fight against an actual threath but he def has a certain idea because of whenever they train/sparr together.

#this is under the thought that miguel is actually still doing the 'boss of the elite spideys taking care of the multiverse' bit #because whenever i draw them i draw them under the thought that miguel retired from the job just so he can live a peaceful life with #mikey and four little kids (he left Jessica in charge) lol so yeah jebdhdh #LIKE HES TRULY SO STRESSED OUT ON THAT JOB 😭 . The list is not long and is more about me being mad at him than any narrative issues lol

I just thought it was really strange and infuriating that Peter B still didn't really *fully* believe in Miles as a hero even after watching this kid fail and then pick himself up off the ground and get back to the collider BY HIMSELF in itsv. Bro inspired you to fix your marriage and have a literal child but he wasn't inspiring enough for you to not insult his intelligence...? Okay. But i guess it kind of makes sense that he wasn't the best possible teacher Miles could ever have, they just worked with the circumstances that they were given and made it work. He gave Miles practical advice and the kid took it from there I suppose. Still pisses me off though.

#that being said i do wonder why Miles does not receive any further mentorship from other black spideys aside from the advice hobie gives him #they...really should utilize their non-white characters more all things considered #and why that baby don't got no coat on

Also would Miles change his custom?

Cause on one hand, him changing his custom to be more villainous is cool supervillain 101. But on the other hand there is a statement to be made by not changing the custom and hunting down all the Spider-Man while using his normal spider-man custom, no adjustments to make it more villainous just plain old spider-man.

And lastly: your content’s really funny and cool 👍

I just would call it anomalous cause that's kinda who and what it focuses on.

As for Miles, he plays the long con, making the other spider people think he's still trying to uphold the moniker of Spidey in his own way despite his true motives. It's more Miles making them think Spot is holding him captive and using Miles as leverage so they can't just kick his ass when in all actuality it's Miles laying low while making big moves.

More so, instead of the costume changing Miles slowly warps and changes through all the dimension-hopping. Like slowly and through like the Spot's physical presence infecting Miles, his DNA and genetics start taking on aspects of the multiverse. He's not so much a cosmic threat like the Spot, more so he slowly starts being able to stay on other earths longer and soon without glitching at all. I'd say instead of the normal suit, his suit would glitch to look like a weird patchwork of his and other Spiders' suits, depending on the dimension he's in. (say a mix of his and Gwen's if he was on Earth-65B) but with a lot more visual glitching and weirdness, cause he still is an anomaly that doesn't belong.

Though I think he'd just start looking warped after a while if not in his home earth. It's not a physical part of him but a new horrid ability that surrounds him and affects other worlds when it's active.

(also thanks! I like to think I'm pretty funny when I don't drop of the face of the earth for weeks :p)

#my idea is he becomes like a universal infection of glitches and anamolies #like he can change things that cause the world to glitch out and desintegrate kinda like what happen with miguel #like that effect surrounds him and sorta like a coat of venom around his person #vs the spot is is fused with cosmic science shit and cant get it off #my specific thoughts are he looks like the specific earths spiderman but off or partly glitched #this isnt bad as its a key give away its him if someone figures it out but the problem is the universe registers him as a double of that #earths spidey and things start falling apart because 2 of the EXACT SAME Spiders cant co-exist in the same world #plus it would throw off Miguels watches cause now it doesn't know whos real #i got notes about this baby yall just have to ask #anon #miles morales #ask #atsv #atsv spoilers #across the spider verse spoilers #anomalous au #across the spiderverse #the spot
