Jewish and Muslim frens, I need your advice if you're willing to DM me! My workplace has a ton of Christmas books for babies (where there's a picture of holiday stuff and the word for them to learn what it is, ie. a snowman and then "snowman" written underneath)
I'm trying to make my own versions for our kids who don't celebrate Christmas, since imo it's only fair that if they're learning about their Christian friends' holidays, then there can be a book about some of the holidays THEIR family celebrates too. But as it turns out, while there are some holiday books like that for preschoolers there isn't one like the books I've described above with very basic vocabulary.
So I'm going to learn how to make books out of materials babies can't chew/tear through because they're destructive little sweethearts, and make my own for a few widely celebrated holidays in the US: Ramadan and Hannukah are first on my list, but I'm also looking up other major Muslim and Jewish holidays among other ideas like Dia de Los Muertos and Cinco de Mayo (I'm in an area with a high population of Mexican Americans who celebrate those days so 🤷‍♀️)
In addition to research online, I'd like to get some info on what stuff you associate with these holidays. That way I can get a feel for the pages/words I can put in the books. Like one of the Christmas ones has words like: Santa, reindeer, presents, snowman, sleigh. What basic words do you associate with Ramadan or Hannukah (eg. menorah, dreidel)?

Hi friends!!
So I'm still searching for a nice storybook (or two) to read for Halloween. I've made my Amazon wishlist for books public, if anyone would like to check it out. Please let me know what you'd like to hear me read! And I'll see if I can buy it. 🥰
I did have a neat idea for a video, though! Let me know what you think? I got an Amazon Holiday gift book full of cute toys! I thought it would be fun to flip through the book and check out all the awesome stuff with yall!

I love scoping out all the new toys they come out with every year. 🥰 I just wanna play with all of them!

The lost ball!
It was a perfect day at the arboretum. The birds were singing, the snowdrops were in full bloom.
The spring sun shining through the budding trees made the fresh grass dew twinkle like stars in the sky.
Fruits, a short, white dog was enjoying a gentle stroll with her human whilst playing with her favourite ball.
It was perfect for her. A match made in the stars. It was a perfect shade of pale green and at night it shone bright a green brighter than the stars.
Fruits didn’t like to share her ball. So much so, that she trained her human to bring other balls to give to her friends in want of a ball.
But her best friends had the special privilege of being allowed to play with her most precious of toys.
She’d often give them the ball when her human looked like she wanted to go home. That way she could stay and play with her friends for a little while longer.
They had just arrived at the arboretum, the dogs favourite place to play. When suddenly, disaster struck.
Her human had thrown the ball in the opposite direction in a cruel prank. Unfortunately, Losing the ball.
Her head dropped when the ball failed to land on her side. In the distance she could hear her human running away from her. Shouting something inaudible as she went.
Leaving Fruits alone in her search.
The tall grass making it difficult to see ahead. Nevertheless, she dropped her nose to the ground and began her search. She searched the field, trees and undergrowth around her, desperate to reunite with her missing ball.
All hope seemed lost when a figure appeared across the field. Growing rapidly as it approached.
“BENTLEY!” Fruits cried happily.
The gentle giant stopped by his sad friend. Touching is nose to her head in comfort, when a second figure came skidding to a halt. Gently nibbling her friends ear as she always did.
Fruits’ heart lifted at the sight of her friends supportive affections.
“Come on, Hollie and Cuddles are searching the other side.” Bentley encouraged. Pointing his nose, to his sisters weaving in and out of the trees on the far side of the field.
