Sometimes you just need a day to doodle. And also I just wanted to think of Papa Kamek while raising his first heir to the throne.

Fact: According to the Yoshi series as well as Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Kamek is Bowser’s caretaker and the one who raised him.
In modern-day, Kamek acts as Bowser’s right hand and advisor. He helps Bowser with raising his son, Bowser Jr.

Commission for the ever wonderful @pforest282, illustrating a scene from ‘Ashes That Made the Trees Bloom’.
I recommend giving it a read, especially if you want to see the cutest portrayal of Baby Bowser I’ve ever seen.

with the revelation that Wapeach would have been a child, that means that in a world where she was created once Bowser Jr entered the scene the Mario series would have 2 evil children in its staple cast, who served as direct counterparts to Peach and Bowser. I think it’s pretty likely that Wapeach and Bowser Jr would have been portrayed as best friends, which is an idea I really like because most of the more story-focused Mario games (Mario Sunshine, Mario + Rabbids, Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi) tend to portray Bowser Jr as being a very lonely kid, and the Yoshi’s Island series portrays Baby Bowser in the same way.
