i got carded 3 times trying to buy super glue at walmart.

the first lady didn't even look at my id. she just glanced at me and hit 'no.' i responded with "why did you say no? i have my id right here." she asked me how old i was. i told her 37. she told me i'd have to scan it again after paying for my other stuff.

so, i finished with my other stuff and then tried again with the superglue. second lady comes. she actually looks at my id.

then, completely ignoring my birth date on my id, she presses 'no.' and i'm like, "why did you say no? i was born in 86! should i take off my hat so you can see my thinning hair?" she apologizes and says "i was thinking about alcohol" as if i, a 37 year old, would be able to buy superglue, but not alcohol.

she cancels everything out. i try scanning it again. first lady comes back, and hits 'yes.' i can now finally leave walmart with my super glue.

This will be a problem later. #I also think the silly energy in this scene is top notch. #Wen Ning is the wild chipmunk wwx managed to catch and wants to keep as a pet. #Jiang Cheng is gently easing this boy out of wwx's extrovert maw and saying 'put him back outside'. #Can you imagine being blindsided by the full force of wwx out of nowhere? Getting his support and then archery tips? #You're done. You've been caught in his snare and you aren't getting out.

no cause the fact that richter thought alucard was a myth is absolutely killing me. he grew up hearing stories of his ancestors' heroism, but for some reason a central figure of those stories was merely a legend to him, an immortal fantasy creature who he never got to meet. honestly i'm willing to bet his own mother and grandfather and any other belmonts before them didn't either. they only told the stories of defeating dracula as their parents did before them, thinking them dramatized and never literal. it became a game of telephone, with each person doubting the existence of a friendly dhampir ally more and more because alucard wasn't there to corroborate it. alucard separated himself from the belmonts at some point. he wasn't there to see trevor and sypha's lineage despite the fact that they merged their houses and literally founded a city together. speculating the when and why is going to drive me absolutely insane, you don't understand.

I’m probably not going to be watching anymore.

I mean it when I say that they’re literally the sole reason I watched this show in the first place. I saw a billion TikTok edits of them & was like “Idek these characters I need to watch this show and see what’s going on over there.”

And like, it’s a fun show, I’m not saying it isn’t, but first responder shows are a dime a dozen. There are other shows that have queer characters and found family and wild adventures. Granted, they don’t have Buck & his bi arc, but I’d still read fanfics to get my Evan Buckley fix lol.

I don’t need them right now, I’m so down for the slow burn, will-they-won’t-they & the pining & the yearning & the build up and the GOOD foundation. I want to see Eddie figuring himself out and dealing with his repression and figuring out he’s queer (& Demi, pls God. I hope if I just say it enough, I can will it into existence somehow) before anything happens with the two of them, but if they take definitive steps to have one of them like, marry someone else or something, I think I’m gonna head out.
