Nico laughs, and he sees Sebastian flinch at the high note he hits. It only makes him laugh harder.

"You fucking idiot," he says, and he's drunk, he knows he's drunk, but so is Sebastian, so it doesn't matter. "Can't you see how much it bothers him still?"

"What?" Seb says, and pouts, and Nico thinks he'd buy the over-affected ignorance if it was anyone else but Sebastian doing it. "What do you mean?"

He leans closer to whisper-yell into Seb's ear. "You know what I mean." Sebastian looks at him from the corner of his eye, and Nico grins. "The same thing that still bothers you."

Sebastian's eyes flash, and Nico thinks I got you.

"I have no idea what you mean," he says, and takes another big mouthful of his vodka. "We should go dance, or something."

Nico pulls him closer by the shoulders, expensive cologne and cheep anti-perspirant and Sebastian's sweat all mixing as he almost buries his face in Sebastian's neck.

"Only if the 'something' is ordering two more bottles of the most expensive champagne and spraying them all over our race winner today," Nico says coyly, swallowing down as much of envy as he can. Sebastian doesn't move, nor does he push Nico away.

"That would be - that's a lot of money."

Nico shrugs.

"And Lewis won. He deserves it."

Sebastian's fingers tap a disjointed rhytm on Nico's knee. His glass of vodka-Red Bull is almost empty.

"He does, does 't he?" He says out loud, and Nico can see both the glee in his eyes and the tightness around his mouth. "We should give him all the best, since we didn't get to properly soak him on the podium." His voice is contemplative, but his smile is on this side of mean. "The best for the best, right?"

Nico hides his smile in Sebastian's neck.

I have mentionned my wips recently, and I've picked up on one of the big ones. I've started writing it January last year, when Lewis was radio silent and there were rumours about him retiring...

So, this is simply a fic where he does retire following the aftermath of Abu Dhabi... Along with Seb! It's what I call a No-Plot-Just-Vibes fic. You're looking for something mostly angst-free to relax? A sweet sewis fic following the peaceful retired life of your favourite racing drivers?

"We should go on a hike" is the fic you need!

(TW for mentions of Abu Dhabi, obviously, but also mental-health issue because Lewis is burnt-out and depressed in this one, and Seb isn't necessarily much better. Yes it's still mostly angst-free, I promise)

Lewis was at a point in his life where he needed an open door.

“I thought you were getting older today, yet you sound like a five-year old,” Sebastian taunted.

“But I’m boooooored,” Lewis repeated, whiny on purpose. He could see the smile dancing on his friend’s lips.

“I’m gonna take a one-year break,” Sebastian announced out of the blue, puling him out of his thoughts.

Lewis' brain short-circuited and did a weird hiccup before coming back online.

“You what?” he said stupidly.

“I don’t like the way it’s looking at me,” Lewis said, glaring at the chicken.

“And they haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, baby I’m just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, I shake it off, I shake it off!” he sang at the top of his lungs, doing a silly dance.

“I’m- I’m not gonna train for a while. I need time to myself.”

Angela stayed silent for a while, taking in the information, before she eventually said, “You're not coming back, are you?”
