Is this written for @maskyartist? Maybe. Now you have a whole AU dedicated to you, albeit perhaps not a highly comfortable one.

Heed the tags before reading this, guys. It's DARK.

Ozpin let out a hiss of pain as one of Salem's clawed fingers raked a line of fire across his ribs, but it didn't matter, truly, what she was going to do to him. No matter what, she couldn't be allowed to get her hands on any of the other relics, nor could he tell her how to use the one she had gotten her hands on. His clothes hung in bloody rags from a frame far slimmer now than it had been before she'd captured him all those months ago, but he hadn't given her what she wanted. As she snarled at him again, he just smiled gently at her. He suspected that he was probably out of time. Ah well, it had been a good life, this one. He'd rather miss it when it was gone.

"Well, my dearest Ozma... you've been a very naughty boy, haven't you? You can't even tell me what I want to know, it's been months, I thought we had something special." Ozpin swallowed at that, though the cloying almost cooing tones filled him with an odd sort of dread. She hadn't quite managed that before, but now... what was she planning, exactly?

"Naughty boys need to be humbled, you know... and perhaps you can still be useful to me in other ways. We'll have to see, but for now? Good night little Ozma." She brushed fingers across his clammy forehead and he felt the world dropping away, even as he struggled to understand. Little? This body was far from that...

When he awoke again, it was far slower than he had become used to. He felt oddly warm and comfortable and he couldn't hear or smell the usual things he'd have found in the tiny cell Salem had shoved him into. He didn't feel cramped, so much as well... bound together? He tested his limbs, but whatever it was was bound far too tightly to escape. It felt strangely like cloth, but... why would she have wrapped him in some sort of cloth? She'd seemed so happy as his clothing fell apart. It had been well made, once, but even the best materials couldn't really stand up to several months of torture.

The ceiling seemed so far away, though. He squirmed again, but it was hopeless. What was the point of this, anyway? He already knew he was relatively helpless here, after all. At least Qrow still had Long Memory, he hated to think what might have happened had the ancient weapon been in Salem's hands, now.

There was a noise as someone entered, but by the glimpse of green hair... [toobigtoobig] it was probably Miss Sustrai. She seemed oddly reluctant to come any closer, just seeming to watch him as he did her, in a strange sort of stalemate. He opened his mouth to ask her something and flinched as his voice came out far higher in pitch than it ever should have been. 'Miss Sustrai? What... happened...' He tailed off looking suddenly horrified, as the fact that everything seemed much to large combined with the wrappings and what he dearly hoped was a temporary voice all came together to paint a very dark picture indeed.

But, if Salem had, well, done that, then why? There was always some sort of purpose to her actions, but beyond perhaps a final form of embarrassment, he couldn't really think of a reason here. As an infant, if that was truly what she'd done to him, he would have little dignity and less control, yes, but where he had been before had not precisely been dignified, either. What was her end goal?

His question seemed to have snapped the bubble keeping Emerald in place and he quickly felt himself lifted into a set of trembling arms.

"I'm sorry, Professor." Was all she said, as she turned and carried him from the room, out into Salem's presence once more.
