as someone from a family who for years has had to play car tetris to fit everyone in a vehicle with exactly enough seats for the number of passengers, i'm so curious about ub's seating plan in the suv. apparently a standard suv has 5 seats (exactly the number of seats needed for ub + the detective) and a full-size suv has 7 seats, but which size suv ub has in-game isn't mentioned (i prefer to think 5 seats. why would they need a 7-seat car prior to wayhaven, when they were only driving around the 4 of them. also it's funnier).

a clearly drives. i think n probably rides shotgun (since they're the only one i'd trust to navigate, if needed, and they're tall). that puts f and m in the back. this is obvious. what really interests me is where everyone sits once the detective joins the team and starts riding in the suv with them regularly and every single seat in that 5-seater has to be used. f is middle back is what i'm saying

#do not get me STARTED on the long-car-ride seating ROTATION #you just found out where everyone sits. now switch it after 4 hours. lol #getting everyone seated in a car is so political. there are so many factors to consider #size. age. fairness. drive length per day. how likely someone is to pitch a fit #a drives because they have father-like control issues re: driving. n gets the mom seat #the detective sitting back right while a and n argue loudly about the gps vs the map and how to stop getting lost. like any true family
