I want headcanons about Onyx and Petal post-finale, too!!

Alrighty!

Onyx is her rock or atleast one of them during her grieving process. Petal is a bit over dramatic basically acting like steven has died or he’s never coming back. It’s them abandonment issues. 

During this time she is very clingy towards onyx. She either has to be held by him or have him hold her hand. She’ll even jump into his arms at times. He’s basically like a treasured teddy bear to her. 

Her being fully happy again is a slow process. Only small smiles and laughs here and there. Onyx really tries. Bringing her to her favorite places and giving her gifts suited to her various interests. 

Full disclosure her first few sessions with her new therapist she has thrown knives and lunged at them. Eventually she had to be put in a straightjacket. Eventually she got out of it from some good behavior but still. Was onyx surprised by any of this? No. Sadly he knew something like this would happen. 

As she continues therapy her nightmares lessen and she gets some pleasant dreams with onyx involved. Also some wet dreams. All of which are projected through her gem. Onyx should feel lucky cause she can only project these holograms when she feels safe.
