Really Detective?

Hey everyone! This particular piece is a short one. It's Rafael Barba/Male reader. @nickamaro requested this cute little piece. It was requested that I write this imagine with either Rafael or Olivia. And I decided to do both. Olivia's one will be posted soon. I hope you all enjoy! And please feel free to request stories, either from my prompt list or just anything you would like to read.

Rafael could hardly believe his eyes. At first he thought he had fallen asleep in his office after too much coffee and too much paper work. But no, that definitely hadn’t happened. He was in the apartment he shared with his boyfriend. His boyfriend who was currently standing on the kitchen counter with…oh jesus that was bug spray and a lighter.

“Carino, I know you said you didn’t like the curtains but this is a bit extreme,” Rafael drawled as he put his briefcase on a chair.

“This isn’t about the curtains baby,” you retorted eyes not leaving one particular spot on the floor. Rafael looked closely at you, a light sheen of sweat covered your face and your knuckles were almost white as you gripped the items in your hands. Your muscles tense.

“Okay, then what is it about?” Rafael raised an eyebrow. “And can you please get off the counter and put the lighter down.”

“Not until that fucker reappears so I can fry it,” you growled.

“Need a little more,” Rafael prodded looking around trying to figure out what was going on.

“There was a massive fucking spider on the floor there,” you explained. “And then it just vanished so now I am staying here until it shows itself.”

“A spider?” Rafael was even more confused. To Rafael you looked scared. Very scared. But that wasn’t something he had ever seen on you. “I have seen you stare down guns and people holding knives at you but a spider has you like this.”

“Don’t tease me,” you almost whined at your boyfriend. “I don’t like spiders Rafi, they’re creepy as hell with all their legs and eyes and…and there it is!”

Rafael looked over his shoulder and saw the spider. It was small, nowhere near the size he thought it would be from how you are acting. Rafael sighed rubbing the bridge of his nose as he walked over and stomped on the poor thing. He did not want to risk you actually setting things on fire. Rafael turned around just in time to have you fling yourself into his arms. You were taller than him but at this moment Rafael felt like he was taller as you curled yourself into him, burying your head into his neck. Arms thrown around his shoulders as you nuzzled into him.

“Thank you,” you whispered. Rafael wrapped his arms around your waist, trying very hard not to chuckle. This side of you was new and he found it incredibly adorable, and he didn’t want anyone else to ever see it.

“Of course, Carino,” he patted your back, squeezing you softly. He found it amusing that his brave detective boyfriend was so afraid of spiders but at the same time a small part of him was a little pleased that he got to be the protector for once. “I’ll deal with any spiders, so no need to almost burn the apartment down.”

“…Shush,” you muttered, lightly nipping his neck. “And don’t even think about telling anyone about this.”

“Ah, yes, don’t want your reputation of being one of the most badass and intimidating detectives to be tarnished,” Rafael laughed hand coming up to tug gently on your hair. A whine left your throat at the action, the man knew exactly what he was doing. You went to pull away from him but Rafael held on to you. “Aw, don’t worry Carino. I promise I won’t tell anyone you needed a knight in shining armour.”

“Don’t be mean,” you muttered being able to move enough to look at him, his green eyes shining with amusement. Rafael caught your eyes, which still had a slight hint of fear in them, the sight of that smothered the rest of his amusement. He cupped your face leaning forward to kiss your cheeks and your lips.

“I’m sorry Carino,” he whispered. “I promise I won’t tell anyone.”

You smiled softly at him leaning to rest your forehead against his, nuzzling his nose. You had hoped that he would never find out about your fear of spiders. Last time someone had they made you feel so small, as if a detective of your size and demeanour couldn’t have such a fear. As if someone who charges into danger without a moment’s hesitation shouldn’t be afraid.  

“Thank you,” you told him again kissing him. “Never had my own knight in shining armour but I’m glad you’re mine.”

“Well, it’s the least I can do after the times you have saved me,” Rafael grinned. “Now how about some dinner?”

“Or we could just skip right to dessert,” you suggested pulling out of his arms and walking backwards towards the bedroom, tugging on his hands.

“If this is the reward I get every time I kill a spider, I hope I find more,” Rafael grinned untangling one of his hands to loosen his tie, his eyes darkening as he stepped closer to nip at your neck.

The Teachers Familiars

I tried to guess what were the familiars of the others teachers, since we have seen only Balam's familiar (and Cerberus but he's not a familiar).

So i used Demonology to help me

Ifrit

I think he's in the same situation that Kalego, his "spirit" of fire is the manifestation of his magic and he can't have a familiar because of it.

But if he HAD a Familiar, it would probably be a phoenix, since Ifrit fire is stated to be the most pure of all fires.

Dantalion

He's apparently a demon who can make a lot of different forms. but no mentions of a animal with him.

I could see him having a DRAGON, since he sees his students like a tresor that he must protect.

(and i joked with other persons about him turning SUPER overprotective in his wicked phase)

Suzy

No mention of any animals in his desciption; except the form that he can take when he's summoned by human (who is commun to a lot of demons, yeah a lot seems to take a lion form) :/  (so if Iruma had summoned him, he would have been a adorable little lion? XD)

I had one time joked that Marbas could have a cute (but super dangerous) familiar to contrast with his **fanboy of torture tools** side.

Robin

in demonology, the demon Barbatos is associated to a bear.

So Robin could have demoniac bear or he could have a hawk or a eagle who are associated to good eyes (he's kinda a sniper with his bow).

Orias

""In demonology, Orias (also spelled Oriax) is a Great Marquis of Hell, and has thirty legions of demons under his command. He knows and teaches the virtues of the stars and the mansions of the planets.""

And also ""The Fifty-ninth Spirit is Oriax, or Orias. He is a Great Marquis, and appeareth in the Form of a Lion, 3 riding upon a Horse Mighty and Strong, with a Serpent's Tail; 4 and he holdeth in his Right Hand two Great Serpents hissing.""

So it's likely that Orias Familiar would be a horse with a serpent's tail. Maybe with wings too.

Badass, right?

Ipos

So his familiar could be a jackal, maybe? or maybe a Howl since this bird is associated by knowledge and strategy? or maybe mix of Jackal and owl?

Murmur

So his familiar may be a vulture or a griffin. i rather the griffin, it's more badass. XD

Buer

So his familiar could be a kind of horse/kind of centaur, or maybe a snake since it's a animal who is often associated to medicine.

Morax Family

so we could guess that, in this family, the familiars are bulllike. Demoniac Bulls. Maybe the Grandpa has a kind of minotaur, while his grandaugther has a bull.

Tuve otro sueño totalmente random. Me encontraba en un lugar muy parecido a mi salón de clases del taller de dibujo industrial de la secundaria. Los restiradores (mesas inclinadas para dibujar) estaban ubicados como antes. Yo era estudiante, tal vez de universidad o de posgrado, y mi lugar era el mismo de aquel entonces.. el segundo de la tercera fila desde la pared. Y por extraño que suene, en la primera fila se encontraba Sully Erna, solo que un tanto más joven que ahora. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ Sí, el mismísimo vocalista de Godsmack y yo éramos compañeros de clase.

En este sueño, él era un chico extrovertido y desmadroso con un temperamento fuerte, probablemente ENTP o ENTJ. Y yo, como se puede imaginar, tenía un “ligero” crush en él. 😅 Lo veía desde mi mesa, entre el bullicio de la clase. Sonriente y risueño, jugando y bromeando con los chicos de su fila, que si no mal recuerdo eran mis compañeros de entonces.. Jair, Chema, Victor, y otros que no me vienen a la mente.

Entonces yo discutía con mi amiga de al lado sobre cómo acercarme a él para hablarle, y cuánto me daba vergüenza hacerlo. Pero dado que era la yo de ahora, con todo y mi seguridad y determinación actual, no tardé mucho en hacer algo al respecto y dar el primer paso. 😄

Respiré, dejé mi lugar y caminé hacia la primera fila. Me acerqué a Jair, quien estaba junto a Sully, y comenzamos a hablar y a reír sobre el asunto que traían todos ellos. Sully se unió a la conversación entre risas, y al poco tiempo ya estábamos hablando sobre otro tema sólo él y yo, en su mesa de dibujo. El plan perfecto había funcionado como esperaba.

Naturalmente soy una persona que se fija mucho en los detalles y admira la belleza ajena con delicadeza y sensibilidad. Recuerdo que mientras estaba a su lado, observaba con atención su suave piel blanca y sus mejillas rosadas.. su barba apenas crecida, las perfos plateadas que adornaban sus orejas y acentuaban su rostro, los tatuajes badass que recorrían sus fuertes brazos.. las cadenas que colgaban de su cuello, su chaleco negro de piel, su brazalete y su reloj obscuros, sus jeans grises que combinaban perfecto con el resto de su outfit.. su aroma distintivo, sus manos grandes, su voz grave y áspera, sus ojos tan claros y brillantes que se enfocaban en mí cuando volteaba la mirada..

Joder, qué deleite. 👌🏻

Después el profesor se dirigió a todo el grupo desde su escritorio en la parte trasera del salón de clases, y en el momento en el que dejamos de hablar para escuchar las indicaciones, abrí los ojos y el sueño terminó. 🥲

No se, tantas veces me he preguntado si estos sueños tan vívidos y reales que tengo a menudo, podrían ser en realidad un pequeño viaje a universos alternos en los que por unos minutos tengo la dicha de vivir la vida de otra versión de mí, en otra versión del mundo donde la realidad es distinta.

I first followed you (a decade ago??? help) because your version of Don and Sloan -had and still has tbh - a choke grip on my heart

Oh my gosh! Don and Sloan! I remember to this day watching they're fight in Bullies when he puts Sloan's chin up and then they're fight afterwards 'you think I'm here to make you feel better' and thinking ... oh you two care about each other, but just writing it off as like a 'cj/toby' style friendship (which I can totally work with btw, cj & toby are soulmates, fight me on that).

I have never been happier to be proven wrong. You should have heard the inhuman noises I made in the last episode of season one.

Also I think between Ben/Leslie; Don/Sloan; Obidala; Tyrion/Sansa and my SVU ships of Carisi/Rollins; and Barba/Benson my shipping preferences can apparently be summed up as take one slightly acerbic asshole pragmatist, who is fundamentally a really decent guy, and watch him walk through fire for his badass wife.

Zemo x Sharon ... okay take the 'fundamentally good part out'

But yeah basically it's all the same ship

Melequento estava contando os dias.

Foram 220 dias de pura tortura.

Quando a maldição foi quebrada, sua existência inteira foi puxada para perto de sua família e dos dragões. O reino não deixou com que ele saísse de perto do povo de Berk, e como a confusão inteira estava afetando os dragões e as criaturas "eram sua responsabilidade", como se eles pudessem adestrar criaturas predadoras facilmente. E colocá-los em um novo habitat não foi fácil.

E todos os dias, ajudando os dragões. Tendo Hookfang no seu lado para ajudar. Tudo que ele pensava era "Onde ela está?".

Moors se tornou sua casa, mas também uma forma de conseguir a escapatória que queria, pois alguns dragões eram subterrâneos, e em poucos dias seus túneis haviam ido parar no Castigo. Voluntariou-se de imediato para ser o responsável por essa área. A parte complicada foi conseguir uma escapatória que não arriscasse ele, Dente de Anzol e toda sua família.

Então sete meses se passaram. Com subornos aqui e ali que ele não se orgulhava, até que conseguisse a informação onde a antiga equipe de gancho tinha se instaurado. Não se surpreendeu quando soube de uma mudança de liderança com Scylla e Mira no meio; na verdade, tinha esfregado a informação na cara de Soluço dizendo que sua garota era muito mais badass do que Astrid iria ser em sua vida inteira.

Escondeu-se entre as sombras até perceber que o movimento do bar estava escarço. Chegou a pensar que ela mal o reconheceria, a barba e o cabelo tinha crescido muito, ele estava pálido, com olheiras grandes embaixo dos olhos por não dormir direito por 220 dias.

Parou no bar conseguindo respirar bem pela primeira vez em meses ao vê-la. Seu impulso era pula aquele balcão e beijá-la todas as vezes que desejou fazê-lo desde que haviam se separado. A saudade tinha o comido vivo por meses, mas não tinha tirado o senso de perigo de um dragon rider dele. Então ajeitou o capuz da jaqueta sobre a cabeça, e colocou as mãos nos bolsos se aproximando sem chamar atenção.

— Uísque, puro — disse em um tom mais baixo, mudando seu ritmo normal de fala, porque ele não deveria estar ali, mas iria enlouquecer se não pudesse vê-la de novo, escutá-la falar o seu nome, mesmo com o tom de escárnio dela. Então escolheu o canto mais afastado e mais escuro do balcão do bar, parecendo mais um espectro do que um humano.

Tudo que ele queria durante 220 dias era vê-la, e estava a ponto de enlouquecer com ela tão perto, só que tinha aprendido cautela com a pirata, e a exerceria ali, era arriscado para os dois.

Quando ela colocou o copo em sua frente, segurou em sua mão com cuidado, não queria assustá-la.

— Scyls — usou o apelido que seu "eu amaldiçoado" tanto adorava por ser uma forma fácil de se identificar. Só ele a chamava assim. — Você pode ficar por uns cinco minutos? — soltou a mão, mesmo sentindo que seu ímpeto não o queria, e levantou o olhar. Será que @monsterscylla não o identificaria? Será que tinha mudado demais? De qualquer forma, poder vê-la, poder tocá-la, já era muito. Seus lábios se formavam em um sorriso que ele só tinha para ela, e seu coração pareceu voltar a bater quando os dois se olharam. — Eu só... Eu senti sua falta

It’s mostly self-evident. The Aegor comes from Aegor Rivers, the son of Horsewoman Barba Bracken by a Targaryen king, an anti-establishment figure who hated Targaryens and Bloodraven even more than I do, a perpetual exile and outcast who nonetheless showed himself to be an able soldier and visionary commander. Bamfsteel is a pun on his Westerosi epithet, Bittersteel, except I think Aegor’s Westerosi military related exploits are awesome so I substituted Bitter for BAMF, an internet expression (though apparently dating to the 1990s, maybe due to Pulp Fiction) meaning Badass Motherfucker. The “irascible, fire breathing mule” is a joke about his (and my, especially in earlier asks) temper and ancestry (a mule being the offspring of a female horse and a jack ass). The two elephant trunks forming a heart over the Blackfyre sigil is a joke variation of Euron Greyjoy’s personal arms (with the two crows crowning the red eye with the black pupil), because I like elephants and House Blackfyre (as probably did Aegor Rivers).

I binge watched the last 9 seasons of svu in 3 weeks I'm- ...a bit...

......

...I don't even know whyy exactly lol, I had stopped watching it a long time ago for no actual reason tho, I guess just... time or something else grabbed my interests back then and then I forgot, but recently I saw some reruns on tv, I got hooked again and last thing I know I went from season 15 to 23 in a couple of weeks, I was like...watching it at warp 9.😂 I'm glad that, at least here, women get justice, wish it was real

Ugh I love Olivia and now she's finally boss, and god I can't believe I'm saying that i'm shipping a het couple but sometimes it happens yes lol, Rollins and Carisi I LOVE them, they super cute. Kat should be back tho I miss her so, finally another woman at svu, she was badass I liked her from the start, and she had a girlfriend! make her come back! (and I know that she would have teased Amanda and Carisi endlessly lol) I miss Alex from the good old days tho, and god Liv make peace with Barba I miss Raul!
