Part 2: Breaking Brad

Since we're only a few days away from the last episode, I decided to COUNT DOWN everything we´ve got so far ( that can be interpreted very easily as romantic ) and discuss what the actual fuck is going on with second season. Because even though I shipped lokius practically from S1E2, I absolutely did NOT expect this kind of development. (Not that I´m complaining)

Warning: This is gonna be LONG post, lots of screenshots, lots of SPOILERS, lot of "oh-my-god-they-so-cute" language, and little bit of meta.

I originally thought that this post would be everything at once, but since I have just too many screenshots this time around, I´ll have to split it. so every post will be one episode. Color coding means:

IIIIIIIIII = anything, that coud potentialy be just acting choice.

IIIIIIIIII = everything else (tzn.: whatever was written, and/or carefully prepared by filmmakers. )

side note: I already wrote, about how amazing it is, that Mobius is unable to fight but fights anyway and how beautifuly, and ridiculously brave he is HERE. But this is about Loki/Mobius interactions, so I´ll try my best not to talk about THAT. (Even when I´m really happy, that s2 continues with this formula and Mobius is still his completely defenseless while aggressively brave self. I love him, btw.)

EPISODE 1 HERE

Okay, Check-list, ep 2:

11) matching suits part 1 THIS ⬇️ costume department did a great job and they look badass together also, they´re walking very close to each other.

Mobius opening up to Loki, and admiting he "lost it"

Loki trying to make him feel better and absolutely KILLING IT! btw, I know, that some people think, this scene doesn´t make sense, because Loki didn´t "lost it" during avengers, but was controlled by mind stone, etc.... well I think that it actually doesn´t matter. Guess what else doesn´t make sense? For example the fact, that they already talked about Loki fighting Avengers ( during their first meeting.) Loki is aware, that Mobius saw New York invasion at least twice now, and he´s telling him anyway. I would say, that point here is Loki trying to lift Mobius´s spirit, entertain him, make him smile. Why else woud he start his monolog by "remember, when...?" And I think, that this is huge, actually: Loki, using his bad memory, defeat, his humulianting experience to make Mobius feel better. So not only, that we see, he no longer care about being rurel but we see him making lightly fun of it FOR MOBIUS´S SAKE! He has different priorities now... our immortal god is a grown man now... it´s just so fucking beautiful... 🥺

Also Mobius saying to Loki: "come on, you´re the God of Mischief" Like it´s a best thing in the world, and Loki gives him THIS LOOK! (I mean that head tilt would be considered "acting" category, but I´m already making concessions by including all these things under one number :D

19) Loki and Mobius: mischievous duo

Mobius trusts him so completly!

And they works so well together!

Loki's Loki has just killed Coulson. And, at the TVA, what happen to him? Is saved and recruit by a man who resembles Coulson.

It's not a case that Mobius and Loki talk about Coulson's death for the first time in MCU from The Avengers:

Mobius force Loki to deal with the consequences of his crimes, push him to reveal his true fears... and then he offers him understanding and an opportunity to do good.

At the beginning each one wants mainly take advantage of the other for his own purposes, but, then, they develop mutual sympathy and respect which turns into a sincere and profound friendship.

Mobius is really hurt when Loki apparently betrays him, calling him "a bad friend". But then he trusts him again and back to him for help, betraying the TVA, basically his whole existence, encouraging Loki to be good.

And, when Mobius is pruned, Loki is devasted.

They suddently back together and Loki shows fully his affection for him.

And now, in season 2? Mobius will risk his life to save Loki from the Time Slipping.

And, maybe, Loki, in turn, will risk his own life to save Mobius.

So, basically, Mobius represents a kind of redemption for Loki for the murder of Coulson.

First off... Where do I begin? The whole mission in this episode is finding Sylvie and it's really funny seeing Loki act like a lovesick puppy lmao (go cry antis). I find it hilarious how B-15 and OB are basically shouldering the whole multiverse at this point; that's tough!

Now let's talk about the whole scene with Loki and Mobius interrogating Brad Wolfe. When Loki got all personal and snarled "Where is Sylvie?" I felt literal chills man. LITERAL. CHILLS. Like, Loki, sir, calm down, you'll kill us all- And the way Mobius slapped some sense into Brad - perfection.

Sylvie. Sylvie working at the McDonald's with the badass haircut, and hers and Loki's reactions on seeing each other - chef's kiss. I absolutely LOVED the way they communicated; the slow burn love IS KILLING ME HELP-

AND THEY HELD HANDS! I mean, ok, it was for magical purposes only (ahem, ahem) but still, you can't convince my fangirling dumbass that they didn't like it! It was really sad seeing her go away tho, our lover boy was almost in tears... I REALLY HOPE THEY GET TOGETHER SOON PLEASE MARVEL AAAAH-

(serious question. does anyone who owns Marvel legends know how to fix an upper waist swivel? After I got Mobius out of the box, I tried putting on a custom rain coat I made him and i found he was loose and slightly broken in his upper chest section, it won't move properly or hold any poses, it's almost like he's got an elastic in there instead of the standard joint. it's hard to do some more badass dinamic fighting poses, the seller I bought him from won't replace or refund it and I'm unsure if Hasbro will do anything so my only option is to keep him and hopefully fix him. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.)

"When you get your memory back, you'll remember that low profile isn't my thing."

Alright, this line stemmed a fan theory in me. Sonic shattered the Paradox Prism and absorbed its energy but he himself was having a few memory issues. But there are no alternate versions of him. That's probably because the Prism's energy shattered the universe and everyone in it into various aspects of it and the characters except Sonic . He absorbed that energy instead of it breaking him as well. And Shadow Chaos Controlled so he wasn't even part of that process, he travelled through space time so he doesn't even exist. He's not part of the Shatterverse like everyone else and that's why he cannot leave the void.

Thing is, all the Shatterverses put together sort of makes up the main world. Shattering the Paradox Prism shattered the world around into its fragments. Like, the extremity of wildlife and nature, the extremity of the ocean, the extremity of isolated barren land, the extremity of a high tech city. Put them all together and it makes up Mobius, having a bit of everything so it balances it all out. Anyways, that's about the world but it's also what's going on with all the characters, seen most prominently in the main cast. For example, Rusty is Amy's badass and sassy side, Thorn is her love for nature and warrior spirit and compassionate but angry side, Black Rose is her friendly and insane side. Nine is Tails' intelligence and sassy and determined side with a matching backstory, Mangey is his feral and baby side, the one which is connected to his fox instincts and is the baby brother who seeks affection. And Sails is his friendly but shy side. And Knuckles' couldn't be clearer with one being honorable and loyal, one being paranoid and one being outright unhinged and insane who goes possessively protective for a shiny gem (ya know, don't touch the Master Emerald mode). Rebel is the side of Rouge that helps the world and is loyal, Batten Rouge is excitable and social, Prim Rouge is her sly, selfish and manipulative side. I wonder how Rouge's world would be. They still haven't discovered the Yellow shard and we have main ones Sonic needs to earn the trust of in Nine, Thorn and Dread. So there's still Rouge. That one might be the true Jewel Thief side of her. The different alternates even though they seem vastly different than their original characters still feel so in-character because they are different aspects of the same character, just amplified.

Anyways, I'm going off on a tangent. Thing is, Sonic wasn't 'shattered', for the lack of better term, like his friends were but still was affected by the Paradox energy so he was having brief and scattered memory issues. However, everyone else who was shattered like the prism spectrum has no memory of the original world.

So what if, when the shards are put back together, if not all at once but one by one, all the alternates get a piece of the original's memory back? Random scattered bits and pieces. Can you imagine the angst and realization and confusion? Nine already knows what could be happening because Sonic told him but imagine him getting bits and pieces of Tails' memories back as if they were his own but disconnected. Like putting puzzle pieces together, the image becomes clearer and clearer every time. And if that happens, I can't help but imagine how this might change the motives of them all. Would they, particularly Nine (who doesn't know whether the world can be restored or not because from what he said to Sonic in the Grim, he doesn't believe it can be fixed. ["The one you lost"] To him, Sonic lost his home and might not have it back and he was offering him a home too, trusting him like he had never trusted anyone else in his life), be willing to help out after seeing tidbits of a universe that was beautiful and peaceful? A universe where they were all a family and had a home. Could seeing the moments of a life he wishes to have shift Nine's motives?

Restoring the Prism might put together the different worlds to restore the original. The alternatives could all be gone. So, would they all, at one point, have to choose between their current lives and who they are now, to them being nonexistent but be whole? The potential angst of Nine having to choose between himself and Tails, the life he wishes he had and who he has become now. The potential conflict of Dread choosing between being selfish and holding the power or being trusted with a duty and trusted as a friend. I can already tell that Thorn will choose to be Amy over being Thorn.

Anyways, imagine the potential angst! The possible goodbyes... The "See you in Green Hills, Buddy."

Loki S2 Ep.2 (Breaking Brad): Pros & Cons

(SPOILERS!)

First the Bad to get it out of the way:

• Biggest thing I got a problem with: NOT a fan of the TVA brutality thing and really hope the TVA isn't seen as a 'flawed' system but just a system built to be awful. Only thing I agree with Sylvie is that the overall system is bad. And the protags shouldn't be chill using these tactics. Gonna hope this was just a one time thing because of X-5 just being a massive dick and pissing them to an extreme extent (Doesn't make it right, but if someone blamed me for a loved ones death...I might loose my morals a bit too).

• Sylvie being a bitch to Loki FOR NO REASON. Like everything else going on with her I love, but, why is she being horrible to Loki? He didn't betray or stop her. SHE BETRAYED HIM AND SCREWED EVERYTHING OVER, BUT SHE'S THE PISSED ONE?

Now that we got all the bad out of the way, onto the good stuff:

•Badass Loki, with MAGIC, with a bit of intimidation? YES. Sure, I don't like him and Mobius torturing X-5 BUT I'm all for Loki weaponizing his villainous history. And surprisingly keeping his temper under control. Nice.

• Unlike Mobius...My dude ya good? I love what this could be hinting and going for. And also showing that he isn't pure good, but as Loki said, Not all good which is why they get along.

• Loki being the one that kept a cool head and is the one trying to comfort is so interesting! He's never tried doing that for anyone besides Thor in a few small scenes. And that's his brother! He just wants to be there for Mobius and let him have some pie while they chill and talk stuff out, even trying to relate to mobius (albeit a funny ridiculous comparison).

•Both of the time duos being horrible with tech makes a bit too much sense. They are great at manipulating and reading people, but they probably can't build a single IKEA chair.

•CASEY! I love Casey actually becoming more of an important/useful character. And apparently a fan of O.B. So maybe our tech guy won't have to wait hundreds of years for a visitor anymore!

•B-15 being the heart of the team and the TVA, she should be in charge. Please. Also I need an offical name for her and D-90 because I really want to call them by actual names.

•X-5 is an asshole but a well written and neat asshole. I do kinda want him to get back to his movie life, that way he won't be such a dick to the characters I like and he gets to keep having his dream life. Win-win.

• Sylvie gets a fun retirement life please! I don't think her being on the team is good for her or for the team. I think she should only join when her life is endangered and when it's all over get back to it. I used to think she might join Loki and Mobius on maybe continuing fighting Kang after the season is over but like...That's not her fight? Leaver her be. And bad for the team cause well...The morale is already kinda shit and she's gonna be miserable and make everyone else miserable too.

• Just realized this: Is everyone keeping secrets??? Loki seemed to not have been planning to tell the others about the Ravonna and HWR convo until it was needed to mention (Mobius literally was asking, "When were you gonna-" then was caught off), Mobius seems to already know or have a serious fear that he's hiding, B-15 has yet to mention what she saw of her past life despite it obviously leaving an impact, etc.

Wishlist for Loki 2x05 and 2x06

Here we are again. Putting my clown makeup on one more time.

- jotun loki

- Loki and sylvie stay super close but don’t pursue a romantic relationship

- in fact, no relationships at all, just platonic found family <3

- the found family (Mobius, Loki, b-15, Casey, and OB) stay together instead of returning to their old lives

- Victor Timely somehow comes back and is still a cinnamon roll and is part of the found family

- D-90 isn’t dead, he meets up with the other Lokis in the Void

- when Ravonna gets to the Void, Kid Loki and Lokigator got smth waitin for her ass 👊

- Loki gets his sword back from the Citadel

- Loki gets a cool new outfit (and not that one from the spoilery merch post on Twitter cause it’s ugly)

- Sylvie gets a different hairstyle (pls god she’s gorgeous but that mullet is so damn ugly 😭)

- Loki walks out to the loom without a suit, does some really badass magic shit to fix everything, and becomes the God of Stories in the process

- Sylvie doesn’t share the spotlight in that part. She’s not his co-ruler or anything, she’s just a side character in that moment. Because of the timeslipping, only this Loki variant levels up (sort of like how only 616!Wanda became the Scarlet Witch). I just feel like she’s been sort of the co-lead so far and given that this is supposed to be Tom!Loki’s solo show… I think he deserves a moment to shine by himself.

- the TVA is rebuilt (or they rewind to before it was exploded)

- Loki/the TVA has a big role going into the next few Avengers movies

- depending on how this ends, I hope there’s a third season but with completely new stories to tell
