Kate Bush - Alone At My Piano was originally released as one of the many unofficial bootlegs that have seen CD releases over the years. The original CD release of these demo tapes from 1976 was in 1988.

This is the "modestly remastered and expanded" version, which includes other solo demos from a few other unofficial releases that have all been cleaned up to get rid of some of the noise. I wanted to release just the original CD release but most downloads for this album floating around the internet include the bonus tracks.

"The 22 demos which Kate Bush recorded all by herself and her piano in November of 1976 can be found, as a whole or in part, on a number of bootleg CDs. The most common ones are “Cathy’s Home Demos”, “Practice Makes Perfect (Piano Demos No. 1)”, “If You Could See Me Fly”, and “Passing Through Air.

As for the “expanded” bit: I have added six tracks which can be found on the “Cathy’s Home Demos” bootleg. They are two further solo demos from 1980 of “Babooshka” (the first with Kate alone on the piano and some vocal overdubs, the second with Kate at the piano and a rhythm box and vocal + musical overdubs) and five demos with band from 1977, the so-called “Kick Inside” demos."

None of the titles are really official, so I just left them unchanged but put brackets around the alternate titles.

Since there are a lot of these demos already compiled into albums I'll be uploading more of these every once in a while. There are a lot of good ones floating around in single videos and I want to try to clear up any confusion.

Novel-wise I currently have to re-read a couple things for uni, nothing interesting. I am also currently having my first ever English read-through of the Underland Saga (@yesthefandomfreakblr 👀) with my baby brother. He is enjoying it very much. A childrens'/YA series about a boy who discovers a strange land underneath New York and find himself in the mids of several prophecies about the destiny of this war-struck place. I do rec it on, even for adults.

Fic-wise, I am bound to plug @argyleheir's 90's Dracula AU To the End of the Light. As many may know, I am absolutely obsessed and am awaiting each update eagerly.

Hi, I saw your recs and I think that works by @dreadnoought on ao3 would end you (in a positive way, let's say). I cannot recommend them enough, you have to read them, they basically change your life. Ive read 'Baghdad Waltz' in 10 day, reading hours a day and it left me speechless. 'How you leave' is a fuckin masterpiece and its the only one fic in 1st person pov that made sense, Ive never cried so hard reading. 'the Crucible' is the nicest one if you can say so, but very worthy as well.

Thanks, Andrea. I'm always happy to hear other people's favourites. I started reccing Stucky stories because I really love discovering new fics through fic recs. Last summer, a lot of the fic rec blogs weren't posting as much so I thought I'd do my own.

I've heard really good things about Baghdad Waltz. I've been on its AO3 page a few times. I'm sure it's amazing, and am pretty sure that if I let myself get sucked into it, I would be absolutely hooked. There's a couple of reasons why I haven't.

One reason is the length. I'm not averse to long fics, but I tend to read very intensively. I'm a quick reader, but while I'm reading a story, I live in that world. Real life practicalities mean that I don't have the time or brain space to sink myself into something so long.

But the main reason I haven't read it is the tags, including that bittersweet ending tag. I love fanfic because people get to explore what they'd like to read and write. It means you get a lot more feelgood fluff (and more tentacle porn) than you do in mainstream published media. I'm not in a mental place right now where I can devote myself to a story that will break my heart and not put it back together by the end.

I've looked at the tags and have decided it's not for me. And I do feel guilty, because I'm sure it's a brilliant and well-written story, and it's a bit silly to only want a happy ending. But right now, that's what's making me feel good, and I have enough going on that I want this hobby to only make me feel good. Maybe one day, I'll look at the tags of that fic and decide that I am in the right headspace for it, but today isn't that day, and I have to let myself be ok with that.

But thank you so much for writing in and reccing it. It's on my radar!

"How You Leave" by Dreadnought

I wanted to drop a recommendation for How You Leave by Dreadnought (the author of “Baghdad Waltz”). It’s a Bucky-centric canon divergence fic with Bucky escaping Hydra and joining SHEILD before Steve gets defrosted and being present for Steve’s integration into the modern world. Warning, it is tagged for Major Character Death. There is plenty of lead-up, so you’re prepared, but it’s still very emotional. I cried through the last 4 chapters.

It’s a beautifully written, heartbreaking work with an astonishing amount of respect to humanity and the characters. I cannot recommend it enough.

I daydream a lot! Sometimes i write complete scenes in my head which is kind of dumb to not at least make notes because sometimes it's all gone and forgotten again lol

2. Where do you get your fic ideas?

Usually they come out of nowhere. Like when i am doing the dishes or cleaning or something. But i feel like it's my brain processing things i read or watched and then it makes up stories. :)

6. What's the last line you wrote?

It's the last line of chapter two of Something for Someone. I am gonna start with chapter three today! The line :

"I'm here Buck. I'm here."

23. Is writing the beginning,middle,or end of the story easiest?Hardest?

The hardest for me is the middle because i feel like i struggle with the storytelling and character developement. I don't know if storytelling is the right word i just want to make it all make sense and i always hope that the characters reactions etc are real and relatable. The easiest is the beginning - once i started lol.

34. How much of your personal life/experience do you include in your fics?

I would say not much. I would rather say i write sometimes what i wish would happen in my life. Not the awful things of course but i kind of tend to write characters and stories that are braver than me. If that makes sense at all.

56.Are there any fics that you would change or rewrite if given the chance?

Sometimes i wanna change everything again lol. I feel like my writing is not emotional enough. I love to cry over things i read. Maybe i just can't cry over stuff i write and others can. I don't know :)

I read Baghdad Walz few months ago (I knew I shouldn't after first chapters but apparently I like to torture mylelf) and it comes back to me everytime I hear or read about war in Iraq or Afghanistan and today I'm crying because they played Wake me up when September ends - the clip for this song always was hard to watch for me and now I just see Steve and Bucky like they were in this clip.
