y’all I just got the MOTHERLOAD of all pastries

#I have not eaten this much in months #My aunt found a cool bakery like an hour away so we made it this whole thing #I stay over at her house we leave at 5:30 #We buy donut for her students (12 or 15)#then the following:#Two homemade pop tarts two tag-a-long Girl Scout cookie donuts 2 thin mint GS donuts a French cruller with vanilla frosting a caramel role #3 plain cake donut one cake donut with chocolate frosting one chantilly cream mousse cake four macarons in espresso chocolate rasberry and #Black berry (I wanted lemon but panicked and said rasberry) a ham and cheese croissantFollowed by two loafs of bread and an orange spice te #And McDonald’s Hashbrowns #To be clear this is all being shared and my aunt planned to spend a decent chunk of money #It was something like 112 bucks?#Not as bad as I thought tbh #We had four boxes of baked goods. Four. Boxes.#You know what I eat every other day of my life? A bowl of yogurt in the morning and a bowl of veggies with egg at night #I don’t usually consume the amount of calories I just ate in a week #Mutuals sending you pastries #So early morning roads showing up at peoples doors and handing them treats + tea? Pretty much perfect

nonna olga’s bring-to-everything yogurt cake to which i added tons of orange zest, fresh grated ginger, ground ginger, and ground cardamom, plus i baked it in a bundt pan. i always use olive oil for this which is so nice w the orange and spices :-) gm

#i love you illegible script of my ancestors #woke up at 7 today and spent the morning doing yoga vacuuming everything making this cake prepping olive oil chocolate chip cookie dough #with chopped toblerone as the chocolate and flaky sea salt to sprinkle before baking and then i did dishes & cleaned the kitchen top to toe #then mopped everything put tea tree and peppermint in the diffuser vacuumed AGAIN for good measure disinfected the bathroom reorganized a #closet and my desk and now i’m saying hi. and thank god i grew up to be the type of person who loves cleaning

I have this intense urge to bake chocolate chip cookies but alas, I am stuck at he office

#I only started an hour ago so I've got 7 more to get through #and I can't guarantee this urge will persist #but like imagine being home #it's morning #and you bake some cookies #and as you let them cool you make yourself some breakfast #set up the tea kettle #and enjoy the lovely morning with some freshly baked cookies

soooooo proud of myself so genius. ok listen to this. i love routine and structure but i also often have days where i cant get out of bed and obviously this throws my structure out of whack. so ive been trying to figure out how to have a morning routine that wont get thrown askew by sometimes being trapped in bed until 5pm.

i also love tea very much. i have a weird sensitivity to caffiene so i cant have coffee or like proper tea the plant but i CAN have herbal tea and i have a lot of it. a cup of tea to wake up and a cup of tea to go to bed is to me a pretty ideal routine...but i cant have tea in the morning if im stuck in bed and my partner's at school or work.

but i CAN put tea in a thermos!!!!!! im usually around at the end of the day even if i was stuck the whole daylight hours, so i can reliably make myself a sleepytime tea... and just brew an extra cup of something else, put it in my thermos, put thermos on my bedside table, and have it in the morning!!!

#i think i might start keeping a little cookie jar on my nightstand too?#bake myself some bolo bao or muffins or cookies or somwtbing small and just keep em in my room for breakfasts #that way no matter what i always have a morning routine of tea breakfast and journal :) even if im scared scared and cant get up!!#birdenest

Did the dishes before bed so the kitchen is clean in the morning so I have space and motivation to bake my banana bread immediately after waking up

#my morning is always: make tea and watch sth for at least half an hour while drinking tea #then do workout (trying to start doing the harder workout every morning now — which is also 7 minutes longer than the gay little workout so #needs more time in my routine)#then cool down continue watching sth drink water and tea #then shower #so if I want to bake and I would have to clean the kitchen first #I wouldn’t start baking before let’s say 11 probably noon #so I’ll start work even later (working from home with less time pressure than usual)#which then fucks up my entire noon afternoon schedule #so this was very smart of me
