#birds #chickens #art #sculpture #sculpey #miniature art #polymer clay #clay #crafts #he is a little ugly but that's ok he's smaller than a penny #i want to make a few chicks but i want to try different techniques with them #this one was built like annette. one shape at a time and blended together #but i painted this one fully since i don't have yellow clay or chalk pastels to powder into it for tint #he only took me i think two and a half hours front to back including the half hour bake time. maybe less #An Improvement!#my yellow paint is like 15 years old though and kinda clumpy #need to buy. new paint i think #or try the Chalk Method #also i do not usually thank people for notes but i am very happy annette was enjoyed by so many people #so thank you everyone who enjoyed and shared my tiny chicken i appreciate that a lot #all my chickens are named after. singers from the early 20th century btw. i did that in SDV and now its just my Pattern

okay so. hi! I have yet to see la reina del sur but would like to say I love every bit of it I've learned secondhand while following you so thanks!

Now. I was thinking this was at least a month old, but you see, I was having issues with the tumblr ask function when I first tried to answer this, so I drafted it in a google doc (b/c I'm DEDICATED) and then was going to copy it over later.

that is dated 10/29. and in my draft answer, I say "took me nearly 2 weeks to answer this"

...anyway! OOPS but thank you for sending it, this is very cute :)

2. Reading & Being in Bookstores. Literally a bookstore is just...it puts me at ease, truly.

3. Sending & Receiving postcards and letters <3

4. Traveling - like going to new places and exploring, but also just that act of being in transit as well. I put a lot on myself and sometimes that moment on a train with no service or up in an airplane staring out the window are some of moments I’m most at peace because there’s only so much I can do.

5. Running - I joined the track team in middle school and it’s been history ever since. I especially love hurdles as that was my main event, but casual hurdles is a difficult hobby to maintain so a transition to distance running has been a nice way to stay in shape and also give my brain a break

Chick’s always been more of a pumpkin pie and apple pie for Thanksgiving kind of bird, but now that she celebrates with her friend who prefers pecan, she’s learning to make pecan pie. (And pumpkin, which she kind of hopes no one else eats so she can have it for breakfast for the next couple days…)
