“I get that he was like… busy, and probably exhausted after, but he could’ve sent me a message at least, you know?”
“Yeah, I’ve been telling you he’s a dick.”
Your best friend inhaled the cold autumn air through the tobacco and filter in their cigarette, filling their lungs with smoke before exhaling it, letting it mix with the breeze.
“He’s not a dick… there’s just a lot on his plate.” You tried defending him, but even to your own ears, the words that had left your mouth sounded pathetic and feeble. “God knows how I would’ve acted if I had his job.”
You were looking down at your own hands, playing with the handle of the mug that was now empty, the coffee in it long gone. You didn’t even have to look up to know that your friend was giving you a dirty look.
To be fair, they weren't completely wrong. You still couldn’t get behind their words – a dick – but you more or less agreed with their general idea: he wasn’t treating you right and you deserved better.
Knowing and realising all that, you still couldn't bring yourself to do anything about it.
“You would’ve been honest and communicated.” They took another drag through their cigarette. “And he should be too. If he wants to keep a relationship.”
The truth was, he had a demanding job. Being a pro hero and saving people’s lives almost every single day was taxing. Not only physically, but also mentally. You understood that. You had let him know that you understood.
Still, as your friend said, and even as your own head was telling you, wanting him to communicate his needs and intentions beforehand was the bare minimum. Not even letting a problem arise and preventing it. Because he should have cared.
The thing that hurt you the most was that it hadn’t always been like that.
At the start, when you two met, he was attentive. Funny. Kind. Charming. You were sure he was still the same person, only not towards you. Not anymore, at least.
You entertained your friend and they tried to distract you from your own thoughts for about another hour before you both got up and went separate ways, counting on seeing each other sometime in the next two weeks again. Not that any of you could make it longer without seeing each other.
You decided to take the longer walk home, hop to a small market on your way and buy some necessities you needed. Maybe pick up something small to treat yourself.
Your heels were clapping on the sidewalk loudly, your tempo moderate. Your feet hurt after spending the entire day in your heels and once again you cursed yourself for choosing this type of footwear when you had known you would have to spend an entire day in them. There was a huge blister forming on your right Achilles, you were sure.
You fished your phone from your purse without even thinking about it, your thumbs moving on the screen as if they’d had a mind of their own. Or maybe it was a muscle memory at this point.
You opened the messages app on your phone and stared at the screen. Maybe hoping that if you stared long and hard enough, you would somehow manifest his response. Or maybe he would even open and read the message instead of leaving you on delivered.
I’m sorry to hear that! You really should take a few days off, you deserve it :(
Pathetic.
Scoffing at yourself you put your phone back into your purse and entered the small market. After greeting the lady who owned the shop you grabbed a basket and started browsing the isles.
You liked this market. The owner was aloof, she never asked you personal questions. You had been going here for long enough for the lady to remember you, you were one of the regular customers, yet she treated you like a stranger every time.
You appreciated that. This kind of curtness.
You began your usual route around the small store – a route you’d walked so many times you would be able to walk it with a scarf around your eyes without bumping into a single thing.
You idly strolled through the shop, picking up the stuff you needed.
Toast bread.
A premade sandwich with cheese, ham, and cucumber.
Spam ham.
Canned fish.
A few packets of instant ramen.
Cheap coffee.
Two single rolls of toilet paper.
Two bottles of soju.
Your feet stopped once you were in front of the register. You put the basket on the counter with a tiny smile and waited for the owner to scan the items.
Your eyes slid from the small woman to the stand next to the register, where the magazines were, all kinds together. The serious ones and the ones that just wrote about celebrity gossip. Living and lifestyle ones. Ones for teenagers. Weekly sudokus and crossword puzzles.
You weren’t the same scared, shy, uncertain intern as you were a few years ago. You’ve earned your place in the publishing company; you were a proper columnist at that point. So when your boss had assigned you the interview with the pro hero that would be the main feature of the next issue, you had been elated and had readily accepted the task. You had been sure this would help further your career. Maybe help you get a raise.
As you had soon learned, you might have been a good columnist, but you were still very much naive. You hadn’t gotten a raise. Nor had the feature helped the career.
What you’ve gotten out of the interview, however, was your phone number in Dynamight’s phone.
“Thanks for the interview, it was great.” You smiled and closed your laptop right after saving the file.
“No, ya were great.”
You laughed a little, bashful, a quiet ‘thank you’ leaving your lips as you put your laptop into its case and into your faux leather bag that was resting against the chair you were sitting in.
“I mean it,” he leaned back in his luxurious office chair, his elbows resting on the arms of the seat. “Most of the interviews I do are real uncomfortable. People love bein nosy and invadin’ my  fuckin’ privacy.”
“You can’t blame them,” you grinned. “Of course, they wanna know everything about one of the most popular heroes.”
“And ya?” He asked after a slight pause and butted his chin in your direction.
“Me?”
“D’ya wanna know everythin’ ‘bout the most popular hero?”
You didn’t miss the way he changed ‘one of the most popular’ to ‘most popular’. Shameless.
“Uhm,” you bit your lower lip, not really sure what to answer.
“Lemme take ya out.”
You couldn’t deny his attractiveness. His cockiness and the roughness around the edges were more alluring than you would like to admit.
“Okay.” You breathed out and gave him a nervous smile.
Were you ready to go on a date with a pro hero though?
“Sorry?” You apologised to the woman when you realised she had said something.
She repeated the total price to you.
Oh, right.
You fumbled with your purse a little and fished out your wallet.
“Could you please add a bag to that?”
The woman grabbed one plastic bag from under the counter and put it on top of the things you purchased, not bothering to bag them.
“Actually… I would also like some cigarettes. And a lighter.” You put your wallet on the counter and started bagging the groceries yourself.
“What kind?” Was all she said, but you didn’t miss the judgy look she gave you.
“Gold Marlboro.”
She turned around to retrieve the cigarette box and basic, plastic lighter in a bright blue colour and handed them to you.
You finished bagging your stuff quickly, paid for it and with a goodbye exited the market.
A silent groan left your lips when you felt the rocky cement underneath your feet again, the back of your shoe digging into your Achilles more than before. The blister was going to be a big one.
The rest of the route to your home was uneventful. Thankfully. Once you opened the front door of the crappy building where you lived, you stood in front of the elevator.
It was old, unreliable, and just barely held together. This is why you usually took the stairs, but the painful cushion filled with fluid made you reconsider your actions. You looked from the elevator to your feet. It was either the stairs which would abuse your blister even more, or the risky elevator.
You sighed as you carefully stepped out of the heels.
“Shit.”
The blister that formed on your Achilles during the day must have popped and was now bleeding. Your entire heel and the inside of your shoe were stained with red that was slowly turning brown; the edges were crusty and flaking.
“Great.”
You bent down to pick up the bloody shoes in your free hand and started walking up the stairs. The stone and occasional tiles of the floor were just a tad too cool on your soles but you didn’t necessarily mind the sensation. It felt nice on your slightly swollen feet after the entire day.
Once you made it to the seventh floor – your floor – you stopped in front of the door to your apartment, and with a loud bang let the shoes fall from your hand to the floor. The bag with your groceries followed suit and soon you were trying to fish out your keys from your faux leather shoulder bag.
Your phone started vibrating, set on silent mode. Scrambling to quickly pick it up, you found your phone in record time and checked the caller’s ID, hoping to find a certain hero’s name on the display.
Your eyebrows furrowed a little when you found out it was your mother calling you. Inhaling deeply and breathing out through your nose, you slid your finger over the screen and put the phone against your ear.
“Hi, mom!” Your voice was too high-pitched as you greeted her. You leaned your head heavily to the side and squished the phone between your ear and your shoulder to keep your hand empty.
“Hi, sweetheart.”
You pulled a face at the pet name. You hated loving it.
“Mom, I’m sorry, but I’m really busy right now. Is it important?” You slightly fumbled with your bag as you kept trying to find your keys.
“Oh, no, I just wanted to call and ask how you’re doing,” you could hear the smile in her voice.
“I’m doing fine! Listen, would it be alright if I call you tomorrow? I’ve got a lot of things I still gotta do today.” You were lying through your teeth.
It took only a few more seconds of conversation with her, and you both agreed on a call the next day when you ‘have more time’. You tossed the phone in your bag and rummaged through all the things once again before you found your keys in the bottom corner of your bag and unlocked the door.
First, you walked into the small and cramped hall of your apartment and put down your purse, then just halfway stepped out of your flat to retrieve your shoes and finally the bag with groceries.
Eventually, you closed and locked the door behind you, the grocery bag in your arms as you stepped into the apartment that was way too small to even fit a single person. Not even two steps later you were in your living room and bedroom and after three more steps and turning the corner twice you were standing in the ‘kitchen’. ‘Kitchen’ with quotation marks, because the very few cabinets with a sink and without a proper oven could hardly count as a regular kitchen.
The apartment was horrible. It was in a worse part of town – not necessarily the worst, but bad enough. The prefabricated block of flats was old and in desperate need of renovation; the plaster on the outside of the building was slowly crumbling, the insolation was thinner than the walls between apartments, the pipes were rusty, and you heard that several neighbours of yours from lower levels had complained about mould.
Most of the people here, except for a few old grandmas and young women around your age, were unfriendly. The neighbours, with whom you shared one of the living room walls, were too loud.
Oftentimes, there were strange smells, ones you could not identify or describe. Whether they were lingering in the hall of the building or, for some godforsaken reason, in your own flat, they always lasted only a couple of hours.
During your walks up and down the stairs to get to or from work, you’d meet people who’d make you cross the street if you met them in the city at night. They were mostly younger men with pronounced eyebags and a strut that was either overconfident or not confident enough.
The only reason you stayed there was because it was cheap and the commute to your work from here was alright. Even with a salary that was too low for the job you did, you were able to afford it and even save a little bit of money on the side for any possible emergencies.
You set the grocery bag on the counter and went back into the hall to take your probably ruined shoes, bringing them to your minuscule bathroom and setting them on the floor in your shower, deciding on trying to salvage them later.
On your way back to the living room you took your work bag with you. Opening the window first and letting the cold autumn breeze in, you sat down on the couch and fished around in your bag once again, looking for the cigarettes and lighter that you put separately into your purse. Once you found it, you chucked the bag without any care on the floor and leaned back on the couch, putting your bare feet up on the coffee table.
You hissed as the raw meat on the back of your heel came into contact with the old glass top of the table that needed some proper cleaning, but ultimately did nothing to alleviate the pain. Instead, you took a single cigarette out of the package and rested it between your lips, inhaling at the same time as your fingers brought the fire from the lighter to life.
You left the cigarette hung from your mouth, held by your dry lips, and leaned your head back, your hands splayed on the sides of your body.
The fact was, you were exhausted.
And you didn’t even have a good reason for it.
Sure, work sucked. You worked like a dog only to be constantly overlooked and not earn enough. You were lying to your own mother every time you talked, pretending you were much more successful than you actually were, trying to get on her good side and receive any bit of praise. You hated living in your apartment. You were seeing a man who probably didn’t feel the same about you as you did about him.
The only good thing was your high school friend, always by your side and ready to lend a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen.
Maybe you should go see a therapist.
You closed your eyes and deeply breathed in the stale air that refused to move even with the window opened through the tobacco and filter. You wondered what Bakugo was doing right now. Maybe he was working on the paperwork in his office, sitting behind the big, wooden table that you’d once seen. Or maybe he was out, patrolling with one of his sidekicks, walking in the streets. Maybe he was covered with fake sweat, flexing his muscles for a shoot for another men's magazine.
Your mind lingered on the image of that.
His healthily tanned skin taut over his herculean muscles, the drops of water rolling down and creating a web of moisture, leaving goosebumps behind.
You pressed your thighs together, putting a small amount of pressure on the nether part of your body.
You thought back to all the passionate moments you’d spent with the pro hero. Bakugo might have been getting on your nerves lately due to his behaviour but he was an exceptional lover. He was the best you’d ever had, not that you would admit it out loud. That fiery personality of his projected itself well in the bedroom.
You brought your hand to the cigarette between your lips, took it away from the dry skin and shook off the stack of ash that was growing bigger and bigger at the end of the tobacco. Even though the hot ash landed on the floor covered by very cheap linoleum that was slowly peeling in some corners, you didn’t care.
“Fuck, you’re squeezin’ me so tight, princess,” Bakugo was panting above you, the drops of sweat rolling down his forehead, neck, and chest and occasionally landing on your damp skin.
Your pussy was drooling on his dick, your juices wet on your inner thighs as well as his entire crotch and lower abdomen. He was bullying your body with his cock, repeatedly slamming it in and out of you at a fast pace.
“Katsuki,” you pleaded. You didn’t even know what you were asking him — to slow down? To change the angle? To fuck you harder? Your brain was a mush at that point and all you could think about was him, him, him.
“Not my name, sweetheart,” he grinned and slapped the top of your cunt with his hand, successfully hitting your clit.
You winced and tried to comprehend what he just said to you. Once the words registered, you corrected your mistake.
“Dyna- Dynamight!” His hero name on your lips was cut in half by your gasp.
“There we go.” He praised you. He didn’t move his hands from your hips when he angled them more, making your back arch and your pussy more open for him. “Your pussy fits me like a fuckin’ glove.”
Your head was swimming from all the sensations. Bakugo’s dirty talking, his hot breath hitting your calves while your legs were propped up on his shoulders, the blunt nails on his fingers digging into the skin of your hips, the tip of his dick dragging along your warm walls while he made sure you could feel him for several days to come.
“Look at ya,” he continued. “My dick feels so good’ya can’t even think, huh? Did I fuck ya dumb, princess?” There was a mocking tone to his voice while he talked.
In a normal situation, if you were having sex with anybody else, you would’ve been embarrassed. Both about the mocking and also about the fact that he was right. To be fair, none of your exes were able to fuck you good enough to get you into this state. But with Bakugo you couldn’t even manage to form thoughts coherent enough to feel the embarrassment at the moment.
“Dynamight,” was all you managed to let slip from your lips.
With the cigarette still between your lips, you unbuttoned your trousers and pushed your dominant hand under the fabric of your panties, the tight cotton sandwiching your fingers between the textile and your cunt.
You circled your entrance to gather some moisture, your pussy just starting to get wet. With the now slick pad of your finger, you moved it upward, tucking it a little underneath the hood to touch your clit directly.
Breathing out cigarette smoke from your nostrils, you leaned your head back, resting it against the headrest of your couch. With your eyes closed and a gentle sigh leaving your lips, you started moving the finger in circular motions.
“That’s right, princess.”
Your eyes were watering as you tried to swallow around the thickness of his cock in your throat.
“Fuck yeah, just like that.” His grip on your hair tightened. You were running out of air and fighting your gag reflex when you put your palms on his strong thighs, ready to tap out at the last second in case you needed to. “Choke on my dick.”
Your nose scrunched up against the neatly trimmed pubes as you gagged hard and you quickly tapped his thigh. Bakugo didn’t release your hair, instead, he tugged your head backwards so you would get him out of your mouth quickly. Your lips were red and swollen, covered in your own spit and as well as his precum, parted as you panted for air. Two tears rolled down both of your cheeks as you looked up at the man standing in front of you.
“Good girl,” he sadistically grunted through his gritted teeth. “You’re such a good slut for me, aren’t ya?”
You closed your eyes as he gently, almost affectionately, slapped your cheek a few times.
“Open,” was all he said as he pushed two fingers into your mouth, reaching so far into your throat it made you gag again.
You grabbed the butt of the cigarette with your hand that wasn’t down your pants and leaned over to your coffee table to put it out against the glass. Leaving the butt there, you reclined against the couch once again, moving your finger from your clit back to your entrance, adding a second one to cover them both in your wetness and pushing them inside of you, immediately targeting your g-spot.
“Don’t stop.”
Bakugo’s hand on your hip helped with guiding your movements, effectively pushing you up and down on his cock as you rode him. You were so close to him your nipples were rubbing against his chest with every motion and you were practically breathing each other’s air. The tip of him was deep inside of you and rubbed against your g-spot each time you moved. Your arms were resting on his shoulders. One hand was leaning your weight against his trapezius and the other one against the god-awfully expensive leather sofa of his which you were probably staining now.
“Fuck,” he groaned so quietly you were only able to hear him thanks to the proximity. “You’re mine, do you understand?” His other hand, which wasn’t holding your hip but was snaked around your waist and pushing in between your shoulder blades so that you would be close to him, moved upwards and firmly, but not forcefully, squeezed the back of your neck. The gesture only made you feel that much closer to him. You nodded your head as fast as you could, but that was not enough of an answer for him.
“Say it. Say you’re mine.”
There was a certain desperation in his voice. Desperation that you heard for the first time with him.
“I’m yours.”
The words silently left your lips with a puff of air following suit. Bakugo wasted no time and kissed your lips passionately, seemingly putting all his feelings into it.
But you knew better.
“Say it again.”
“I’m yours.”
The buzz of your phone vibrating in your bag next to the sofa disrupted you.
“Jesus fucking Christ.” You let out an angry grunt.
You debated not picking it up and calling whoever it was that interrupted you later, but decided against it when you felt a considerable amount of guilt in your throat. What if it was important?
You quickly pulled your hand out of your trousers and wiped your wet fingers on your blouse, leaving shiny, sticky splotches behind. Fumbling with the bag a little, you managed to find your phone just in time, not even looking at the caller ID as you swiped your finger against the screen and put it against your ear.
“Hey.”
Your body froze a little at the sound of the unusually cheery voice on the other end. He must have had a pretty good day, judging by his tone.
“Uh, hi.”
“Ya busy?”
You straightened on the sofa and tried to clear your throat as discreetly as possible.
“No, I was just cooking, sorry.” Lie.
“Cool. Listen, we haven’t seen each other for a while so I wanted to call ya.”
“That’s nice of you.” Bare. Fucking. Minimum.
“Yeah. I can’t really talk now, I’m ‘bout to go grab a few beers with my mates. I’ll call ya later, so we can talk properly, yeah?”
“Oh, sure.” You turned your head to look at the clock on the wall in your kitchen. It was already nearing eight o’clock, just how late did he mean to call?
“Alright. I’ll talk to ya later.”
He ended the call sooner than you could say goodbye.
Your hand that was holding the phone to your ear fell limply against the couch with the device still between your fingers. You didn’t know if his call made you feel happy or even more pathetic.
It was good that he called you, right? He obviously wanted to check up on you. And also promised to call you again later.
So why were you feeling like this? Where did this feeling come from?
You gulped the saliva that gathered between your teeth and the flesh of your cheek, accidentally swallowing a bit of air as well.
No, you thought to yourself. He was trying. That was good enough for you. For now.
You raised your hand with your phone again and unlocked it, opening a food delivery app. You debated between classic pizza and maybe something healthier, but your finger ultimately landed on the pizza picture on your screen, successfully tapping it into the cart. You chose the address for delivery and type of payment and locked your phone.
Releasing a deep breath, you stood up and with your phone still in your hand walked the few steps to your bed. The pizza was supposed to be delivered in 30-60 minutes. Might as well masturbate properly with your vibrator in the meantime.
»»————- ————-««
After giving yourself two orgasms, eating the entire pizza and drinking several shots of soju, you fell asleep on your sofa just a few minutes after midnight. Bakugo didn’t call.
»»————- ————-««
It was several days later that you heard from him again. This time, he didn’t even bother with calling you; he decided that two texts would suffice.
hey, sorry for not calling you the other day, i got wasted
you wanna see each other sometime again? ;)
‘That’s not a proper apology. Send him to hell.’ your friend replied when you sent them a screenshot of said messages.
You were sitting behind the desk you were assigned at work, your hands idly resting on the keyboard of your computer, but your eyes were glued to your phone that lay locked next to your cup of coffee. You should send him a reply.
“Do you have a minute?”
You jerked in your seat involuntarily, the sudden proximity of the voice effectively scaring you. Your blood rushed to your cheeks, heating your face, when you realised you were caught slacking off.
“Uh, yeah, sure.” You replied to your boss, not exactly enthusiastically.
“Great.” He gave you a fake smile that didn’t reach his eyes and quickly left his lips and tapped the side of your cubicle a few times before he turned around and started walking towards his office, obviously expecting you to follow.
You cleared your throat and got up from your seat, tugged your pencil skirt down a little and followed him as quickly as you could in the garment that was sexy and elegant, but also restrictive.
You closed the door once you stepped into the personal office that was separated by glass walls from the rest of the cubicles where you and your colleagues worked.
“Sit down.” Your boss moved his hand in the general direction of the seat that was positioned in front of his desk.
The table was made of a grey and white particle board, as well as all the desks you and others worked on. The carpet in his office was originally the same shade of dark blue as the rest of the entire floor, but was less walked on and therefore managed to retain its colour better than the carpet in the rest of the space.
The window behind his back that you were facing and that he liked to stare out of so often was as bleak as it always is this time of the year. The strange shift between autumn and winter when the weather gets even colder and the days even shorter, when you usually reach for your second-hand wool coat before leaving your apartment.
“We need to talk.”
You were fucked.
»»————- ————-««
Tears were rolling down your cheeks as you held the phone in your hand.
When are you free? We need to talk.
A small part of you wished Bakugo cared about you enough to actually get stressed after reading your message. But the more rational part of you knew that that wasn’t the case. The pro-hero with a super-inflated ego wouldn’t get anxious due to a mildly threatening message from an average journalist who had had his balls in her mouth not so long ago.
Unemployed journalist.
You debated calling your mother but ultimately decided against it. You weren’t in the headspace to deal with that kind of phone call.
You also considered calling your friend.
You didn’t, though.
You knew they would pity you. You didn’t want people to pity you. You just needed somebody to listen. And maybe a hug. But none of the people you were in contact with or that were in your life would ever just listen.
So you were left all alone with all these feelings that felt just too heavy on your chest. A lead that made it hard to breathe, a lead that your muscles had to actively fight against to fill your lungs with much-needed air. A lead that made you drag your feet against the pavement.
Your phone buzzed in your hand.
this thursday at 5pm, come to my apartment
You didn’t even open the message to properly read it, your eyes just skimmed over the message in the notification on your lock screen before you stuffed the electronic device in your bag once again.
Good, you thought for yourself. You had three days to somewhat get your shit together before visiting him. As much as you had feelings for a certain pro-hero, you were not about to let him see you like this.
Especially not since you were determined to end whatever the weird situationship between the two of you was.
»»————- ————-««
You rested the back of your head against the cool mirror behind you. The extra thick layer of concealer underneath your eyes to hide the dark circles was slowly creasing even though you’d used enough powder to set it… you could almost feel it.
The Visine in your eyes to make them appear whiter and not like you cried just this morning felt unnatural – too watery and a tiny bit stingy when you closed your eyes for long enough.
Your thought process? Don’t let him see your weakness. Don’t look like you actually care about this ‘relationship’. Could you even call it that? Could you call this situationship a relationship when he kept you secret from the public and his friends as well? When all he ever wanted to do with you lately was to fuck you?
The odd smell of the hairspray that you had used deliberately to keep your hair bouncy was almost palpable in the air, even though you used quite a lot of perfume. Those two smells as well as the lingering stench of a cigarette you smoked earlier combined were almost suffocating you, pressing down on your person, making you feel smaller and smaller.
The supposedly calming music that was playing in the elevator was paradoxically making you even more nervous.
The trousers you decided to wear that day made your ass look extra good, but cut into your stomach every time you sat down – a decision you, again, made on purpose. To get it over with quicker. You can’t even really sit down with these on. Plus, obviously, it wouldn’t be bad to remind him what he was going to lose, right? One last look at your ass was all you were going to grant him.
Saying that you were uncomfortable was an understatement.
You lost your job just a few days ago. It was clear to you you’d have to consider moving soon; the shitty apartment you lived in was cheap, but not cheap enough to keep while unemployed. And now, on top of your job and an apartment, you were about to lose him.
Maybe it was a good thing, though. Even though he made you feel like you were on cloud nine in the beginning, showering you with affection and spending most of his free time with you, lately all you’d been getting from whatever was happening between you two was stress and anxiety. Self-doubt. More insecurities.
Besides, were you really going to lose him? Could a person lose something they’ve never had in the first place?
Your mind wandered on its own to your favourite memory with him. It was still quite fresh, you could remember it as if it had happened a few days ago, even though in reality it had been weeks.
Your head resting on Bakugo’s thigh, the sound of the television and the feeling of his fingers playing with your hair inevitably lulling you to sleep. Your belly was comfortably full thanks to the amazing dinner Bakugo had cooked for you.
“You’re sleepin’.”
“Am not.” You replied, but you could hear it in your own voice, the tiredness and how you slightly slurred your words, your eyes still closed. His smell and proximity was just making you feel so, so safe.
A sigh left your lips as your hand moved on its own and started rummaging in the small purse that you’d brought with you. The fluorescent light in the elevator did nothing to flatter your appearance, quite the opposite, actually. You found the lip gloss you were wearing that day in the depths of your bag and reapplied it generously. You gave yourself another look in the mirror as you stuffed the small thing back into the bag.
God, it looked like you’d tried too hard.
Quickly, with only a few stories left, you tried to card your fingers through your hair to make them messier and ruin your appearance a little. Your hand flew to your lips to wipe off all the gloss you’d just put on as the door of the elevator opened to Bakugo’s floor.
You hesitantly stepped inside of the apartment and took off your shoes, the elevator door closing behind you. Leaving your coat and scarf on the hanger that was situated in the dead end of the hallway, you then stepped in the other direction to actually get further into the flat.
Your feet were quiet on the overpriced Persian runner rug, so you called his name to announce your arrival.
“Hey.”
You were looking directly at his back as you walked into the more open space and the centre of the floor. With his back to you and broad shoulders covered by a simple oversized black hoodie, he was standing right in front of a kitchen counter, probably mixing something judging by the sound of it.
“Hi.” You replied, your voice lacking the usual enthusiasm that laced it whenever you were with him. You put your purse on the couch in the living area and walked closer to where Bakugo was standing.
“Hope you’re hungry.” He said without raising his head or really looking at you.
When you came close enough, you were actually able to see what he was cooking – tamagoyaki.
“Not really.” You’d kill for some tamagoyaki at that moment, to be honest. “I'm not planning on staying long, actually.” You crossed your arms over your chest and leaned your weight against the kitchen counter, resting your hip against it.
“Hm.” Was all he said.
You watched as he poured another part of the egg mixture into the pan, helping it spread by tilting the metal and sort of pushing the liquid with chopsticks.
Bakugo was an amazing chef. You’d asked him about it when you were eating curry rice during one of the occasions that you’d visited his flat and his response was a grunt and cookin’s not that hard.
“You know why I’m here, right?” You asked.
You hoped that he would say it first. Yer leavin’ me. You had prayed that he would say it, make it easier for you. Spare you from having to force air over your vocal cords and formulate the sounds with your tongue and lips.
He didn’t.
The silence stretched on as he seemingly minded his business, rolling the tamagoyaki into a perfect little roll and adding more egg mixture.
“I can’t…” You started but cut yourself off. You gave it another thought before you started again. “This has to end.”
Bakugo didn’t move a single muscle to indicate any sort of reaction he might’ve had. You watched him finally move as he took two bowls out of his kitchen cabinet and nodded his head in the direction of the kitchen aisle.
“Siddown, food’s almost ready.”
He started filling the bowls with steaming rice straight from the rice cooker while the egg was frying on the pan.
“I said I’m not hungry. I’m not here to eat.”
“And I didn’ ask.”
“Stop treating me like a child.” Anger was gathering in the pit of your stomach, twisting it more than it already was.
“Then stop actin’ like one.”
A moment of silence.
You were speechless.
A lump formed in your throat, successfully gagging you and preventing you from defending yourself. You could feel them, the tears forming in your eyes, threatening to fall over your lower lash line and roll down your cheeks.
“Please, siddown so ya can eat your food.”
You swallowed around the tightness in your throat and just nodded your head, not trusting your voice to keep steady. Without another word, you walked around the kitchen aisle and sat down on one of the tall bar stools, resting your forearms on the cold granite countertop. The stone was cold enough to sting your already cold skin, goosebumps forming on your arms.
After not even two minutes the meal appeared in front of you – a bowl of rice, another bowl of miso soup with tofu, a plate filled with cut tamagoyaki and a small bowl of steamed spinach with garlic.
“Eat up,” Bakugo said as he put his own bowls and plate on the countertop, sitting next to you.
The food was warm, filling your tummy with a nice feeling.
“It’s delicious.” You complimented after a few careful bites. You meant it.
“It’s alright.”
Ever the critic. Even when it comes to himself.
The two of you were eating in silence, only the sounds of chewing and slurping filling the air.
Bakugo raised his eyes from his meal when he noticed your reluctance to continue eating about halfway through the meal.
“Why aren’ ya eatin’?”
You could hear the disapproval in his voice. Not worry, not even concern. Just disapproval.
“Uhm,” you started, but couldn’t finish your sentence.
The godforsaken jeans you’d decided to wear were digging into your stomach painfully, to a point where a sharp pain was shooting up your chest. And you filling your belly more wasn’t helping it.
“D’ya not like it?”
“No! No, that’s not it.” You moved a piece of the omelette with your chopsticks around on the plate. “It really is delicious.”
Hmph.
You chewed on your lower lip. Bakugo was obviously unhappy with your answer. He was still staring you down.
“I’m wearing my standing jeans.” You admitted after a few seconds.
“Standin’ jeans.” He repeated, obviously not understanding the term.
“Yeah. Standing jeans. Jeans that look great when you stand up, but you can't really sit down in them because they’re too tight.”
Your laughable reason was met with silence, he was obviously letting you stew in the ridiculousness of it all.
“They’re too tight when I sit down, they dig into my stomach.”
Bakugo blinked at you once before he rolled his eyes and without a word got up and left the kitchen, disappearing in the direction of his bedroom.
You heard some sounds coming from the other side of the flat before he reappeared with grey sweatpants in his hand, handing them to you.
“Change.”
“I’m not going to change into your sweatpants.” You protested, looking at the fabric in his extended hand. “I didn’t even want to stay here. Nor eat your food. Can we just get this over with?”
You were this close to begging him. This close. Begging him to say the final words, those ones you had no guts to really say. Even though they were long overdue.
“Ya look like shit.”
“Excuse me?”
“Ya heard me. Ya look like a’mess. Change'nto those damn sweatpants and finish your food.”
You looked from his face to the sweatpants he was still holding out for you. Reluctantly, you took them and stood up, immediately feeling the relief in your midsection. You walked back into the hallway where you came from and disappeared in the door on the left – Bakugo’s bathroom.
You peeked a look at yourself in the mirror immediately after closing the door behind you. He was right. You looked like shit. The concealer was cakey under your eyes; the foundation was sitting on your skin almost unnaturally, making you look like you were wearing some sort of a mask. The mascara formed spider legs on your lower lash line – where some stray tears had gathered. The Visine you had used obviously wasn’t working.
You could just leave the apartment. Just leave and not look back. Obviously, he would get the hint, right?
Leave and not say a word. Save yourself from the uncomfortable conversation, the uncomfortable feelings that would inevitably bubble up your chest and settle in your throat.
You sighed and put some liquid hand soap in your palm, turning on the water with your other hand. Smearing the soap across your face, you rubbed hard enough to get the mask off your face, so you could feel the inevitable tears on your skin without any barrier between the two. The soap was slightly stinging as it got into your eyes, but it didn’t stop you from rubbing your face with your nails until your skin was all red and the makeup was now underneath your fingernails.
It didn’t matter if you wore your mask or not. Not anymore. He had seen right through it. Might as well bare yourself to him.
Looking up at yourself in the mirror, you saw the black streaks of mascara all over your face, which made you dunk your face into the watery, soapy concoction for longer, until it was running down your forearms and to your elbows, dripping down onto the grey rug on the floor. It didn’t bother you at this point.
You only opened your eyes again when you ran out of breath, now looking at beet-red skin with two bloodshot eyes that were staring back at you in the mirror.
That would do for now.
Opening the drawer underneath the bathroom sink, you knew exactly where to look to find the hair accessories Bakugo kept for all his hookups. Grabbing the ones you needed, you pinned your slightly damp hair out of your face. Stripping off your standing jeans, you folded them neatly into a nice square before you put on the grey sweatpants that were ill-fitting on you.
It didn’t matter now.
Didn’t matter what you looked like.
You sniffled a little and opened the door, emerging into the hallway and letting only the slight taps of your feet announce your entry to the kitchen.
Bakugo looked up from his meal, unphased, and nodded his head to himself.
“Thanks for the sweats.” You put your jeans on the counter to your right, where there was empty space.
“No problem.”
That was actually kind of nice of him.
Your brain whined in your head.
He wasn’t supposed to be nice to you. Not now. Not when you needed a final push to end this. Like a coward.
“Is al’this just ‘cause of me, or did somethin’ else happen?”
You stayed silent for a while, instead putting in your mouth a spoonful of miso soup with a piece of tofu.
Should you be honest with him, or lie?
…It didn’t matter anymore, did it?
“I got fired.”
You stuffed your face with the fried egg.
It was really nice to eat a warm meal after some time. Only now that you were wearing his sweatpants and your entire stomach wasn’t hurting from those damn jeans did you realise how much you actually relished the feeling of warmth filling you up.
“Sorry t’hear that.”
All you replied was a low hum from the back of your throat, continuing to fill the dark, empty space inside of you with the home-cooked meal.
“Ya wanna talk ‘bout it?” He asked after a minute.
You could see in your peripheral that he was looking at you now, pausing his eating.
“Not really.”
After that, the two of you finished eating in silence. Once you accepted that Bakugo knew you weren’t alright, the silence actually turned comfortable.
You couldn’t stop yourself from thinking things over while the two of you were eating. Was this really the last time you’d ever see him? He deserved to get dumped for how badly he had treated you, right?
Maybe he had his reasons. Maybe something in his life happened the same way you got fired just recently?
You shook your head from side to side discreetly as you swallowed down another mouthful. It was too late. You came here for a reason, and that reason was exactly what you were mulling over now.
Don’t be a fucking coward.
It was the right thing to do.
Bakugo treated you as disposable. If that was what you were to him, there was no reason for you to stay.
Were you ready to prove to yourself that you truly were disposable to him, though?
You realised you had been staring at now empty plates and bowls in front of you only when Bakugo’s hand appeared in the picture to collect the dishes.
“Thank you for the food, it was really nice.”
“Hm.”
You stayed seated at the kitchen island as you watched him neatly put the bowls and plates into the dishwasher. It was obvious that he followed a certain system. You didn’t even consider getting up and offering any help. You knew him well enough to know that he would scold you and tell you to sit down again.
Your eyes drifted over his body while he was bending down to put the porcelain away. The way his back muscles moved underneath the fabric, the way the dirty blonde hair at the nape of his neck brushed against the skin.
You could almost feel it. Feel his muscles move under your fingers, taste his skin on the tip of your tongue.
Your eyes followed his movement as he finally turned around once he was done, resting his backside against the kitchen counter and crossing his arms over his chest. Your eyes met and your look didn’t falter. It didn’t.
“So ya wanna break up?”
You let him win and looked down at your lap. All you saw was the grey fabric that belonged to him.
“Is it really a break-up if we haven’t even properly dated?” You dared to raise your eyes again.
“Fair enough.”
It was him now that looked down. You won this round.
You were sitting on the bar stool in silence while he was just standing there, in the kitchen, the kitchen island creating sort of a safe barrier between you two. Your fingers were fidgeting in your lap, trying to make your mind focus on anything else than what was really going on in your head.
Don’t say it.
Don’t.
“What happened?”
You winced. You said it.
“Whaddya mean?”
This was a mistake.
You abruptly got up and grabbed your jeans from the countertop. You were leaving in his sweatpants. You’ll send them back to him sometime later.
“Wait.”
You could hear his hurried footsteps following you to the living room area where you collected your purse from the couch.
“Wait, god dammit,” he grabbed your arm and spun you around so you could face him. “What didya mean by that?”
You were staring at the neckline of his hoodie, tears smudging your vision. There was not enough of them to roll over the notional barrier, but enough of them for you to fear that they would.
“What didya mean by that?” He repeated the question. Now that he was so close to you, his voice got much softer. Much quieter.
That along with the smell of his cologne and deodorant made you realise just how much you’d missed him. The emotion filled your body with a strange feeling of sorrow and grief.
His hand left your arm and you craved for his touch to return.
“What happened?” Your voice sounded broken. It felt like it was another person talking rather than you, you couldn’t recognise it. “It was so nice at the start.”
You dared to look up at him, which turned out to be a mistake. The movement sent the drops of salty water over the edge of your waterline. You felt them rolling down your cheeks to your chin where they connected into one and dripped down.
Bakugo’s vermillion eyes followed the movement of the liquid on your face. He almost looked guilty.
“I don’ know whaddya want me t’say.”
“The truth.”
He looked away from you for a few seconds while he put his hands in his pockets. It was clear he was debating it. Whether or not he should really be honest with you.
“You owe me that much.” You encouraged him to talk even though you didn’t want to hear it. You wanted to be anywhere else with anybody else than in his apartment with him. Maybe you were a masochist.
“I used ya.”
Fresh tears started streaming down your face as soon as his words registered in your brain. His saying it out loud made it all too real. If he hadn’t admitted it, you could still pretend it was something else. You could pretend and make yourself feel better about it. When he admitted it you lost the possibility and comfort of gaslighting yourself into thinking he had a good reason.
He had enough sense to look at the floor almost shamefully when he carried on.
“I had a lottov things goin’ on ada time. Ya distracted me from it.”
You blinked harshly to force the water from your eyes out. The gentle gasp for air left your lips even though you tried to fight it, to conceal it from him.
“’M sorry. I thought I could give ya more, ‘cause you’re really nice.”
“Yeah, well… really nice doesn’t seem to cut it, does it?”
You both stood there in silence for a few more beats before you felt his hand on your cheek, his thumb smearing the tear away from underneath your eye.
“Don’t.”
It was a quiet plea, a quiet plea that sounded too much like a whimper, leaving your lips parted after rolling off them.
“I meant what I said.” He pulled his hand away from your cheek, moving it to the other and wiping your tears there as well with the upper side of his index finger. “Ya are nice.”
“Whatever.” You removed your face from his touch, eyes glued to the floor.
“Spend the night.”
Was it an order, or a request? You didn’t know, but the sentence froze your feet to the floor before you could turn and make your exit.
“What?”
“Listen, listen. No funny business. Just, spend the night. Ya can sleep inda guest room.” He added the last sentence almost as an afterthought.
Your eyebrows were furrowed above your eyes that were moving from right to left, going from one red eye to the other, trying to gauge the sincerity of his statement.
“Spend the night.” He repeated once more, his voice just barely above a whisper.
Your mind was screaming at you to get the hell out of that apartment, but you felt yourself nod.
A masochist.
“Yeah?” He was making sure.
“Yeah,” you whispered, not even looking him in the eye. The lump in your throat was making you feel like you could choke on it and you already felt bad for betraying yourself like this and agreeing to his outrageous request. You couldn’t bear the way he was definitely looking at you on top of all of that.
Bakugo gently put his hand on your shoulder and guided you back into the heart of his apartment.
“D’ya wanna watch some movie?” He led you to the couch so you sat down on it without any protest.
“Sure.”
He sat down next to you, not really close, but not far away from you either, turning the TV on and switching to the streaming service on it immediately.
You kept biting the inside of your cheek and looking everywhere else than at the TV or him. Hearing the opening of a movie, you raised your eyes to the big screen mounted on the wall. Your throat went dry as soon as you realised what was playing.
“No, something else.” You demanded quickly. “I wanna watch something new.”
Bakugo looked at you for a few seconds and then nodded his head, taking the TV remote in his hand once again and switching the movie to a different one.
The movie that he initially pressed play on was a movie you talked about with him. You could still remember how you gushed about it, mentioning how it was your favourite movie growing up and saying the words we should watch it together sometime. Of course, that 'sometime' never really came. So, now you wouldn’t let him do this. You wouldn’t let him taint your movie. This was yours. He had no right to claim this thing as well.
You wouldn’t let him have this because that would mean that at some point he actually listened to you. It would mean that at some point he might’ve tried if he cared enough.
The sound of a different movie playing commanded your attention then and so you tried to tune in as much as possible. Just from the music, you could tell that it was an action movie.
“Real’ like this one.”
You wished he didn’t say those words.
»»————- ————-««
You were probably in the middle of the movie and lucky for you, you were already able to say that you hated it. Loud explosions, ridiculous situations, plot with holes. Surprisingly, Bakugo liked a Hollywood action movie with too big of a budget.
Your eyes drifted from the TV screen to the window. Living this high up definitely had its perks. The view being one of the main ones. You remembered how naïve you had been when this situationship started. How you had thought maybe if this goes well, I’ll be looking at the same view every morning.
“Ya don’t like it?”
Ever the observant.
You turned your head to the other side, looking at Bakugo who was looking right back at you. You bit your lip and shrugged your shoulders.
“It’s fine.”
You didn’t want to be mean but you also didn’t want to lie about liking it.
“Fine?”
Wrong answer, apparently.
“I guess I just wasn’t in the mood for an action movie.” You tried to calm him down a little. Lying it was then.
“Shoulda told me that hour and a'half ago. Dammit.”
You watched him as he grabbed the remote and exited the movie.
“What are ya inda mood for, then?”
You watched his profile illuminated by the light from the TV screen for a few seconds. He was so beautiful it almost pained you. The constantly furrowed brows you almost couldn’t see because of his hair covering his entire forehead, his perfect nose, the shape of his lips. His skin without blemishes, apart from a few small scars, even though he didn’t really have a skincare routine.
You remembered how you imagined what your possible babies would look like. They’d be perfect.
“So?” He asked impatiently when you hadn’t answered immediately.
His eyes met yours when you decided what to do.
Moving closer to him, you leaned in and pressed a chaste kiss to his lips. Just as you remembered. He still tasted the same. It was Bakugo who leaned back, looking at you. Making sure you knew what you were doing. You leaned in more, kissing him again. Gently, almost tenderly. What if this was the last time you ever got to taste him? You relished the feeling, trying to commit to your memory as much as you could. His taste, his smell, the way his lips felt against you. The kiss got interrupted when he pressed his forehead against yours.
“Are ya sure ya can handle it?”
You knew what he meant. Are you sure you can handle that, emotionally? Are you sure it won’t ruin you even more?  You couldn't help yourself. Bakugo was like a scab you couldn't stop picking at. An open wound that just wouldn't heal. He was your weak spot.
“No.” You said with your voice all breathy, kissing him once again, this time more passionately. Bakugo reciprocated without missing a beat, one of his hands grabbing the side of your face and the other one going straight to your waist. Not even a few seconds in, you swung one of your legs over his thighs, straddling him without breaking the kiss.
You were eager.
And Bakugo was just as eager as you.
Part of your brain hated this. Hated how good his touch felt, hated how familiar all of this was. How safe you felt right in that moment and just how vulnerable and exposed it was all at the same time. You felt weak.
Bakugo’s hand that was on your waist moved to your hip and gripped it tightly, pushing you back and forth, guiding your movements so you would grind against him. There was impatience in the movements from both of you. You knew where it was coming from on your end but the implications of it coming from him made your heart drop in your chest.
“Need you.” You half whined against his lips before you quickly stood up and took off the sweatpants he had lent you. Bakugo followed suit – he took off his trousers hastily and welcomed you back in his lap with open arms, immediately grabbing at your flesh and squeezing what he could.
“Couldn’t leave ‘thout one last fuck, could ya?” He growled against your skin when he moved his lips to your neck and started kissing and nibbling it.
You let out a quiet moan and grabbed his growing bulge through his boxers, the thin fabric the only thing separating you from him. He was almost fully hard already, huffing against your neck as you stroked him.
“Fuck, okay, lemme go grab a condom.” The hero parted from your neck momentarily and was about to get you off of him and get up when you stopped him.
“No!”
You surprised yourself with how quickly you objected to that. Bakugo stopped himself and gave you a look.
“No,” you said calmer this time. “I wanna feel you.”
You deserved it. You deserved this. You deserved at least one good thing in your life. And he would be the one to give it to you. You didn't need his love or affection. All you needed was a piece of him.
You pushed his underwear down just enough so his balls and dick, now fully hard, were free and stroked it, eliciting an almost painfully sounding groan from the man.
“I wanna feel you tonight.” You repeated, pushing your own panties to the side and lining him up with your entrance.
You definitely needed more prep than this, you knew that it would be an uncomfortable stretch and that you weren’t wet nearly enough to help with it, but you couldn’t wait any longer.
You groaned from the slight sting, it was a bit worse than you expected it to be.
“Shit, easy.” Bakugo put his hand on your hip to slow you down a bit. “No need’da hurry. We got all night, princess.”
»»————- ————-««
You sat on the bathroom floor in your mother’s flat, having to temporarily move in with her due to your unemployment. The phone you kept pressed against your ear kept ringing and ringing. To be honest, you were expecting it to go straight to a voicemail right away.
“Yeah?” He picked it up probably at the last possible ring.
“Hey.” You greeted him. “Listen, could we talk?” You bit your lip as you looked at the positive pregnancy test in your hand.

FAMILY MAN [O!Bakugo Katsuki x A!Male Reader]
Tumblr media
Bakugo Katsuki made it to the #1 like he said. Nothing is holding him back - not his omega status, his anger issues, Deku, or you. He has everything he has always wanted. He’s the best.
Bakugo is busy running his own agency in Musutafu, while you’re off in the states making bank inventing high tech support items. Neither of you have spoken in 11 years. Which is fine - it’s fine, not like the greatest hero in Japan would waste his time thinking of you. Until he has to.
A quirk incident send Bakugo into the body of a version of himself that didn’t break your heart the day after high school graduation - that asked you to stay when you had the internship in America instead of pushing you away. Now stuck in the version of himself that he was terrified of becoming - a mated omega. He’s suddenly living behind a white picket fence with a husband and twin 5 year olds, for an unknown amount of time, and no way to get home.
A few have been asking for more Omega Bakugo. I reacently watched “The Family Man” (2000) so the plot of this story if you want it would be heavily based on that plot but accommodated to the MHA universe.

- “fuckkkk come back to me, mama.” he moaned as he softly bit into your shoulder, fucking you from behind.
- “mm, y’know i still love you right? love you ‘nd this pussy, -my pussy.” he huffed out, dragging your hips quickly up and down his shaft to try and drown out his words he spewed out.
- “please come back, i miss you more than anything. i can’t let you go.” he moaned, pressing his suddenly red face further into your neck as he stuffed his fat long cock into you missionary style.
he never gives you the opportunity to reply, just pounding into you harder to drown himself out.

CheatingHusband!Bakugou who knew his world was over when he made direct eye contact with you while another woman was naked underneath him. Panic washed over him when you turned around and started running.
CheatingHusband!Bakugou yelled at that other woman to get the fuck out and went to you for forgiveness. He was on the ground tears falling begging for you to not leave. He didn't care how pathetic he looked all he cared about was not losing you.
CheatingHusband!Bakugou who didn't earn a forgiveness from you but did earn a second chance. Relieved and happy he gets up and goes for a hug, but you push him away, it's ok you need time and he understands.
CheatingHusband!Bakugou is working hard to earn your trust again. He's a lot more gentle with you, careful not to overstep any boundaries and shows his respect for you. He tucks you in bed and gently strokes your hair and then kisses your head, "Goodnight baby" he'd say with a soft smile before going back to his place in the couch.
CheatingHusband!Bakugou who started forming tears in his eyes hearing you say what everyone else has been saying. You deserve better. With clenched fists and teary eyes, he sighs and looks away. He let you go because he loves you and that's what you do when you love someone.
CheatingHusband!Bakugou thirteen years later who saved a little boy from a villain attack and brought him to safety. The little boy runs towards his parents where Bakugou catches a glimpse of the mother and the father. The mother looks very familiar and that's when he realized that it was you.
CheatingHusband!Bakugou who stared at the family with wide eyes. The little boy ran into you arms crying, you picked up your son and held him tight with tears in your eyes. The boy's father went in and held both of you.
CheatingHusband!Bakugou who laid in bed looking up at the ceiling that night and started shedding tears as he remembered the years with you. He missed them and he still loved you and he realized you were the one who got away.

endearment
Tumblr media
synopsis. first, second, and third instances; it's official, there's something going on with bakugou and you're determined to find out.
cw. fem!reader, pro hero!katsuki, aged-up (26 yrs old), established relationship, a lot of cursing
word count. 1.9k words
Tumblr media
The first time it happens, you don’t think too much about it.
“Bakugou,” you call out from where you’re snuggled on his corduroy sofa. “Can you pass me some tissue?”
From the bathroom, you could hear a faint ‘tch’.
The sound of house slippers colliding with the tiled floor grows louder and louder until he finally emerges with a roll in his hand, which he promptly tosses to you.
You catch it—barely—and grin when you feel the thickness of the 3-ply roll, no doubt a staple in Bakugou Katsuki’s pristine apartment unit.
Go figure.
He’s circling the coffee table and plopping down next to you when your phone rings.
Confused, you pick up your phone to see a picture of you and Kirishima from your last get-together—his caller ID. Curious, Bakugou peers over your shoulder, frowning upon seeing his other best friend’s name.
“Isn’t he on patrol right now with Midoriya?” you ask.
Bakugou shrugs. “Answer it.”
Humming an okay, you click the accept button.
“Hey, Y/N! Is Bakubro with you right now?
You eye Bakugou, who’s pretending to be disinterested and not at all eavesdropping. “Yeah. What’s up?”
Kirishima laughs, “Can you tell him to check our group chat? Limited edition All Might merch just dropped.”
At that, you chuckle. “Got this Ei. He’s actually just beside me right now. I’ll make sure to tell him. And tell Izuku I said hi.”
You can practically hear the smile on his face when he says: “Thanks, bro! You’re the best.”
With that, you press the end call button and turn slightly to regard Bakugou, who’s now staring at his hands on his knees, what looks like a scowl etched on his face.
You poke at his side, trying to be playful.
“Aren’t you curious about what he had to say?”
He shakes his head before standing up and heading—again—to the bathroom.
Huh.
Tumblr media
The second time it happens, it leaves you and your friends bewildered.
“And so that’s how yesterday’s patrol ended up with me getting a special interview with TBS,” Mina says proudly.
You chuckle, amused. “That’s amazing, Mina.”
From where she’s seated beside you in the booth of your favorite bar, she grins. “Yeah, well I try!”
Kirishima, who’s sitting opposite the both of you, chimes in. “You have to tell Bakubro that story.”
“Where is he, anyway?” Mina asks.
You squint, looking through the glass windows of the bar. “I think he’s still searching for a parking space.”
At that, Mina cocks her head to the side in confusion. “But it’s been a while since you guys arrived?”
“Yeah…”
You pick up your phone, thumbing through the contacts until you arrive at the one marked with the red asterisk.
Emergency contact.
You’re in the middle of quickly typing out a where r u when Mina, the ever meddling Mina, peers over your shoulder unbeknownst to you.
“You named his contact…Bakugou?”
Attention divided between texting and talking with your friends, you retort lamely with: “Why? What’s wrong with it?”
“Nothing,” Kirishima pipes up. “It’s just that couples usually save each other’s contacts as sweet pet names.”
Mina nods in agreement. “For example, I have Ei saved as baby, with a red heart.”
Before you can even defend yourself, let alone playfully gag at the nickname Mina has given Kirishima, Bakugou appears at your table, sitting down at the booth next to Kirishima and in front of you, uncharacteristically quiet.
When you lock eyes, you raise your eyebrows ever so slightly— denoting a question: everything okay?—but he doesn’t sustain eye contact.
Instead, he stands up again quite abruptly.
“Restroom,” he explains curtly, stuffing his hands in his pockets before walking away, leaving the three of you speechless.
Tumblr media
The third time it happens, it happens in his childhood home.
You didn’t expect to meet his parents this early on in the relationship; you haven’t even been together for a year. Yet Bakugou was determined to introduce you to them, said something about his sharp intuition telling him something or whatever.
Which is how you now find yourself in the living room of the place where he grew up, poring over photo albums like how dehydrated animals in hot climates pore over water.
With his mother, of all people.
“And this is him when his quirk first manifested,” Mitsuki explains, speeding through the pages of the album whilst grinning. You can’t help but grin back.
She points to a rather old photograph on the last page. “And this one is him playing baseball in 8th grade.”
Intrigued, you move closer to see the picture, smiling when you spot him, crimson eyes and ash blonde locks sticking out like a rose amidst the thorny bushes—impossible to miss.
Wanting to fill the air, you offer: “Bakugou was a very cute kid, Mitsuki-san.”
In a flash, she looks up at you, a puzzled look decorating her beautiful features, instead of the look of gratitude you were aiming for.
When you look back at her with confused eyes yourself, she asks, “You still call each other by your last name?”
“Oh—I—uh…”
You eye Bakugou who’s in the kitchen, chopping fresh vegetables for the salad, as per his mother’s instructions.
You convince yourself that he’s got to be out of earshot.
Stumbling over your words again, you scramble for purchase. “Well—”
To your relief, Mitsuki only laughs good-naturedly in response, cutting you off.
“Don’t worry, Y/N. I know my Katsuki can be a bit intimidating sometimes, but inside he’s a real softie who appreciates the little things.”
You could simply nod in response.
From the kitchen, Bakugou announces: “I’m going to the restroom. Start eating without me.”
Tumblr media
A fourth time does not end up happening.
Instead, you find yourself riding the elevator to the rooftop of Bakugou’s apartment complex, where he’s already waiting for you.
‘I’ll just go ahead’ is what he said after both of you finished cleaning the dishes from dinner. ‘Make sure to catch up’.
Before you know it, the elevator doors slide open and you step out, suddenly becoming acutely aware of the heavy feeling now sitting in your stomach.
Will you finally figure out why Bakugou’s been acting a bit off lately?
You immediately spot him, back turned against you, and arms folded across his chest, resting on top of the railing.
Slowly, you walk towards him, ultimately situating yourself to his right.
A tense—albeit not uncomfortable—silence falls upon you.
Neither of you says anything until you pipe up with: “Is there bad news?”
At that, he finally turns his head to look at you. “Hah?”
You school your expression into a pensive one. “Are you breaking up with me?”
“What?” he exclaims, his entire body now facing you in a frantic hurry. “No!”
You chuckle. “Then what’s with the bad news face?”
“Bad news face?”
Nodding, you continue. “The face you make when you hear or are about to deliver bad news. It’s the more solemn iteration of your scowl.”
“What—” he scoffs, although he sounds pleased, “—You’ve fucken memorized my expressions?”
You shrug sheepishly.
When he doesn’t say anything in return, you prod further. “How bad is it?”
He huffs, breaking eye contact. “No bad news. Just—it’s…shit, never mind.”
“It’s just me,” you remind him. “It’s okay.”
With your reassurance, you can see his body relaxing a little bit, though he still refuses to say anything.
A few more seconds of tense silence pass before Bakugou finally looks you straight in the eye.
“Why the fuck do you call me Bakugou?
You stare at him. “...because it’s your name?”
Whatever he wanted to hear from you, it sure wasn’t that.
He scoffs. “Yeah? Well, why do you call shitty hair Ei or shitty deku Izuku? Have I failed some fucking test to qualify for first name privileges?”
“What are you talking about?”
This is what made him act weirdly the past week?
“Don’t make me say it again, woman,” he spits, although there’s not much venom coating his words.
“God,” he combs through his hair in frustration, “this is fucking humiliating.”
“I call you Bakugou because that’s what I called you back when we were just friends,” you try to reason. “Also, I…I didn’t want to start calling you Katsuki out of nowhere.
“I didn’t know you wanted me to,” you finish, voice small.
“Who said I wanted you to call me that?”
You shoot him a knowing look.
You stare at each other for a few more seconds before he groans in defeat, turning to face the city skyline instead of you. You follow suit, opting to look up at the stars that seem to be twinkling extra tonight.
Moments pass with neither of you saying anything.
You gently bump his shoulder with yours.
“For what it’s worth,” you start, “I don’t think there’s anything to be embarrassed about.”
He only grunts in response. You press on.
“The fact that you just told me all this…I don’t know. It makes me happy. It’s sort of like saying you care enough about our relationship to communicate even the most ‘humiliating’—your words not mine—of concerns.
“Of course I fucking do, dumbass,” he retorts. “Wouldn’t have confessed to you if I was just gonna chicken out at some point like a loser.”
You smile at him and his words, and you hope your adoration translates to your face, because the thing with Bakugou is that sometimes you have to deliver the message without having to utter the words—all to preserve the moment before it’s adulterated by shame.
“Right,” you look at him, “why don’t you call me by my first name?”
“Figured I haven’t earned it yet,” he says bluntly.
Amused, you push forward. “And how were you planning to earn it?”
He shoots you a glare. “By being the best fucking boyfriend, that’s how.”
At that, you cannot help the delighted laughter that erupts from you.
He side-eyes you, annoyed, though a smile manages to crack through the facade.
“Stop laughing at me.”
And when you don’t: “Hey.”
“Sorry, sorry,” you exclaim, trying to catch your breath. “I’m just happy.”
He studies you for a beat, eyes fluttering across your face as if he’s searching for something. You feel yourself grow warmer under his piercing gaze.
There’s a pregnant pause before he finally says: “Call me Katsuki.”
You grin, “Okay, Katsuki.”
At your mention of his name, the scowl plastered on his face eases a little into a neutral—borderline happy—expression.
“And I’ll call you by your first name…” he declares, “if you’re fine with it or if not, just forget I said that.”
You take his hand and squeeze it before he can ramble some more.
“Sounds good to me, Katsuki.”
Tumblr media
bonus:
“I swear,” you argue while putting on your shoes, “I can ride the subway, Katsuki.”
“At this hour?” he snorts.
“Best fucking boyfriend, remember?” he sneers as he obtains his car keys by the doorway. “Just let me do this for you.”
You relent, knowing better than to fight with Katsuki on the matter of your safety, when suddenly a brilliant idea dawns on you.
Straightening up, you say: “I don’t think I saw you drinking water after dinner, Katsuki.”
“What?”
“Go hydrate yourself,” you command.
At that, he grumbles but submits to you anyway, walking back to his tidy kitchen.
Once you see that he’s in the middle of chugging down a bottle, you call: “Katsuki?”
He grunts—the best he can do while downing a bottle of water—in response.
“Can I call you babe?”
Bakugou chokes on his spit.

Katsuki fumbled as the heavy wooden door of your mansion was nearly slammed in his face, you being the cause. Your infuriated strides didn’t stop as you reached the kitchen.
Katsuki felt his eyes burn and bile rise in his throat as he tried desperately to reach you.
“Baby, please! It was one time, and I didn’t even kiss her-,” he rambles worriedly, taking a step aback as you turn around.
Your eyes held nothing but pure fire and pain.
“Oh my FUCKING GOD Katsuki! You didn’t kiss her?! Oh that’s just wonderful, I totally forgive you for going behind my FUCKING BACK and fucking other women! That makes everything okay now!” You cry? Laugh? You couldn’t tell anymore.
Katsuki winces at your tears, pearly streaks of his own staining his cheeks. He reaches for you, heart breaking when you flinch away from him.
“Baby-,” he starts.
“Don’t you fucking DARE call me that you disloyal bastard,” you sob.
“I gave you my EVERYTHING, you son of a bitch! The nights I spent slaving over that fucking stove so YOU wouldn’t go hungry! I broke my back cleaning this fucking house, I give up my social life so we can be together, I bust my fucking ass doing stuff in bed I don’t want to do, ALL FOR YOU! I gave you EVERYTHING! So don’t you fucking dare try and have some balls now.” You sob through gritted teeth.
Katsuki sinks to his knees, openly sobbing and grabbing your hands. You tried forcing them back, but his grip was relentless. He pressed tearful kisses to your hands, amplifying your pained sobs.
“(Y/N), please! It was the worst mistake of my entire fucking life, of OUR lives. It was an act of stupidity, and if I could go back in time I would kill past me for even looking at her. It’s YOU I love, not her. It’s you, it’s always been you,” he gasped for breath, looking up at you. You paused.
“AAAAAAAND CUT! That was a great take everyone, go grab some lunch and be back in an hour to continue the shoot,” the director shouts, hopping off his pedestal.
You wiped your tears off, cursing the added tear stick as you laughed.
“Jesus Christ, that was a rough scene. How are you, baby?” You look down at him. Your smile was warm, a complete contrast to the character in the series you were acting in. Katsuki made no move to wipe his tears.
He rose slowly, before wrapping his arms around you tightly. He sniffled as he held you as close as possible, kissing the side of your face.
“Baby, are you alright? It was just a scene!” You giggle, kissing him on the forehead.
“If I ever make you sad like that, I need you to kill me. I would rather die than make you cry the way you just did,” he sniffed, wiping his nose and holding your cheeks.
“Aw sweetie. I know you’d never cheat on me. I love you so, so, so much. I guess we just did too good a job acting,” you giggle. You pull him in closer for a kiss, wiping his tears and playing with his baby hairs.
“I love you so much. Never ever forget that,” he says firmly. You nod, before squeezing out of his grip and tapping his ass playfully.
“Of course angel, now let’s get lunch. Sato made enchiladas and I’m craving them so badly,” you kiss him again. Katsuki’s phone beeped, and he checked before grimacing slightly.
“I’ll be right there babe, Eijiro’s complaining about something,” he says, squeezing your sides and sending you off.
You’re so fucking right, baby. He thought. His chest bloomed in pain. Ochaco’s bunched up tits stared right back at him in picture form, taunting him.
I did too good of an acting job.

𝐚/𝐧  ↣ this is a repost from my old account! i'm moving blogs lol
Tumblr media
“hey, come to the bathroom real quick” you read from your phone after receiving a text from bakugou. you sighed and got out of bakugou’s cozy bed, heading for the bathroom to see what he wanted.
“what do you want katsuki? you were supposed to come back to your room like 10 minutes ago so we could watch a movie.” you huffed as you walked into the bathroom and were greeted by bakugou who was only wearing a towel around his waist.
“stop being such a brat, it didn’t even take that long. anyways, i called you in here because i need your help.” he declared.
“YOU need MY help? the world is ending.” you joked while giggling to yourself.
“oh just shut up” bakugou grumbled while holding back a smile. without any warning, he wrapped his hands around your waist and hoisted you up onto the bathroom counter.
“are you trying to fuc—”
“don’t.” bakugou quickly said before you even got to finish your sentence. “shave my face.” he continued while handing you a razor and shaving cream.
“and you couldn’t do this yourself because…?” you laughed while grabbing the supplies from him.
“i like it when you do it. plus, i’m tired” he stated simply.
“fine you manchild. first, let’s swap positions” you said while stepping down from the counter.
“why? you won’t be able to reach me from there” he questioned confusedly while complying nonetheless.
“so i can do this” you said before getting back up to sit on his lap while wrapping your legs around him.
“so damn clingy” bakugou said in fake annoyance while trying to hide the blush creeping upon his face.
“you know you love it”  you said before you both landed into a comfortable silence while you shaved his stubble. looking up at him, you saw him already staring at you.
“why are you staring at me you creep?” you joked while breaking the silence.
“because you’re so beautiful” bakugou freely complimented you without holding back or throwing in an insult.
“that’s how i know you’re tired” you laughed.
“am i not allowed to compliment my girlfriend? i should’ve just called you ugly” he said while yawning and nuzzling his head into your chest as he wrapped his arms around your body.
“katsu get off, you’re getting shaving cream on me! i have one more spot left.” you said while trying to free yourself from his grip.
“no. i’m tired. we’re going to bed now.” he mumbled before lifting himself up with you still on him and carrying you both to his bed.
reaching his room, he plopped you down on his bed and you looked at him with a scowl on your face.
“why are you looking at me like that?” he questioned, not laying down until you answered him.
“you got shaving cream all over my shirt.”
“stop whining, you know you can wear one of mine.” he sighed while handing you an oversized shirt from his closet.
“yay!” you cheered while swapping your shirts.
“let’s go to sleep now” he sighed in relief as he entered the warmth of his bed and immediately wrapped his arms around your waist with you facing him.
“katsuki?” you said softly while stroking his face gently.
“hmm?” we hummed while nuzzling his face further into your hands.
“you know you’re going to have one patch of hair left on your face and you’re gonna look like an idiot, right?”
“go to hell”

━━ 𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐑 ;; 𝐁𝐀𝐊𝐔𝐆𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐈
Tumblr media
✧ cw :: gn!reader, angst + comfort (bc y'all asked nicely), reader cries a little :), it's a part two to this (please read first) !!
✧ a/n :: @ka0ila & @iam-thevillain-of-thisstory + the ppl asked for a pt two, so here it is !!
Tumblr media
“you're late.”
you nearly jump at the voice, not expecting any sounds to come from the dark place, way too cold to call home. you only note the laziness of his words, and how deeply they come from him.
it's past his bedtime, and he's exhausted. the hurt part of you hates how deeply his mannerisms are engraved into your mind.
you walk towards the stairs, determined to make it to bed without sharing a singular word with him. it's then when you see his figure sitting right there, blocking your path.
“where were you?” the red of bakugou's eyes is tinted darker, more bloodshot as he looks at you. you hope your own aren't as red after having cried your soul out at mina's. you half wish you'd accepted her offer to crash there for the night, for you didn't know how exactly this night could go.
“away from you. isn't that what you wanted?”
the response nips at him and he remembers the words he'd spat at you. you watch how he plays with his hands, smoothing over the rough skin and the thought is almost hilarious— he looked nervous.
“i— i didn't mean it, y/n. any of it. i was angry— and i'm sorry.”
while you were burning in hurt and rage and bitterness and overwhelming sorrow as mina hugged you, you'd listened to your heart beg him for an apology. and now, after it being thrown out, it doesn't hold the same weight as you'd like.
“until when, bakugou?” he winces at the use of his last name— he was never ‘bakugou’ to you. “you're sorry until something goes wrong at work again? you're sorry until i ‘start yapping' again? until you can't stand to look at my face?”
while he can't look you in the eyes anymore, let alone answer you, you feel the lump in your throat solidify.
“move out of the way, bakugou. i need sleep.”
you climb up a step, and the only movement bakugou makes is to stand up.
“y/n, please. please— stay.” the fragility makes itself known in both your voices and you're too tired— your heart is too heavy to fight, to protest.
“ba— katsuki, i'm tired. you yank me about at your will, and i'm so tired. all i've done is stay— endure— and all it has gotten me is here.”
he inhales sharply at the sorrow in how you say his name and it shatters him to see just how hopeless you look— all because he can't keep his damn temper in check.
“i'm sorry. please, i'll— i'll do anything— just don't leave. i'll get help, i'll come home earlier— i'll listen. just, one more chance, please.”
moments pass and the tears well up looking at his face, the prettiest face you've ever laid your eyes on. it pricks at you, watching him ask so softly.
you're weak, and you're so helplessly in love with him.
“i only have one more chance in me to give.”
bakugou exhales, moving slowly toward you. it's when you feel his arms wrap around you for a hug, that you feel your muscles ease up for the first time in so long. your own arms wrap around him, hands grasping at the back of his shirt, and he clings onto you like his life depends on it.
the smell of him— of home— is what causes the tears to finally fall. his shirt catches them and you nuzzle more into him, the thought of letting go seeming unfathomable. you can't remember the last time he'd touched you, let alone held you so close, but you try and hold onto what it feels like. what being at home feels like.
katsuki shuts his eyes, keeping his tears in. as he whispers his apology, he swears to himself he'll never make you cry so much again.
it's the sound of his heartbeat that stops your tears and lulls you to peace, and the warmth seeps back into your home that allows your broken hearts to mend in silence.

bakugou hated defeat. he was never one to forfeit anything. if he could challenge the ocean to a battle, he would and sincerely believe he’d win.
once, he admits defeat to the universe and chooses to let you slip through his fingers.
when he began to fall in love with your sweet manner, delicate touch, warm smile and witty behavior, he also began to hate himself.
he hated the way he was when it came to feelings. he knew he wasn’t able to express his emotions like a good boyfriend should. he was intolerable, insufferable. something that couldn’t have mixed with you.
love was a foreign concept to him, something he couldn’t grasp but something he desperately wished for deep down, no matter how many times he brushed it off or ridiculed the idea.
bakugou knew love wasn’t designed for him, and he wasn’t ever going to let his silly imagination deceive him otherwise.
but, he knows his heart never stands a chance. especially tonight when he finds you on the terrace of ua. the night-sky wrapped the area in its darkness, the crescent moon illuminating the brightest color it could, and the silent night bringing the greatest solitude it could.
bakugou attempts to leave you be, but your eyes find him faster than he originally thought, him being pulled into your magnetic, overwhelming aura.
“hey,” he begins, a slight waver in his voice from his nerves. “not enjoyin’ the party inside?”
you chuckle slightly, waving his question off. “just needed some air.”
bakugou nods in response. he folded his arms over the railing, taking in the scenery around them.
it was the last night for the third years at ua, everyone celebrating their triumphs, losses, friendships. it was the last time they’d be within this building all together, the last time bakugou could silently admire you from afar. he’d always think about his last day there, wondering if he’d be shouting from excitement. he wasn’t close to thinking that he’d feel like his whole world was coming down.
you were planning to travel to the united states to start your hero debut, receiving an offer there that you just couldn’t pass up. he remembered the moment when you told him so vividly. you wore a huge smile, basically jumping out of excitement. that was the first time bakugou came to the realization that he couldn’t have you.
truth be told, he was scared of breaking paths with you. anger, sorrow, fear. you shone a light on all of those emotions. it felt like his anchor was gone. breaking every stable piece off of him one by one.
“so, what’s next for you? don’t think you ever told me your plan.”
in his head, bakugou replies with, that was on purpose. he wanted to remove everything from his mind. go with the flow and live in the moment until it was officially time to get started on his new path of life. but, he figured there was no more time to put it off.
“stay in the city for a bit. kirishima talked about collaboratin’ on an agency, so been givin’ that some consideration.” he replies somberly. “i don’t know really, just gotta find something to keep me busy.”
you echoed bakugou’s action from earlier, nodding to his statement. a small sigh parted your lips, partly from exhaustion, but also from sadness.
“you scared?” it came out as a whisper, as if it was a taboo subject to never touch on, and frankly it was when it came to bakugou.
he waited to respond, pausing for as long as he could before the silence turned uncomfortable.
“yeah.” something so simple but spoke so much considering bakugou would never admit such a thing. “you’ll be okay though. you got an offer some of us wish we could have, and i heard the states has good job opportunities.”
“i don’t wanna go.” first it came out as a mumble, bakugou unsure if he just understood the words that came out of your mouth.
“what?”
“i don’t want to go.” this time, your voice was much more stern.
“the fuck you talkin’ about? you’ve been excited for this shit the day you got the letter, now you don’t wanna go? as if.” he was aware that he came off a little too defensive, mostly to shield his heart from catching a little bit of hope, he didn’t mean to come at you so harshly.
you peeled your eyes away from him, purposely avoiding his eye contact. looking at him seemed more like receiving a scolding from a parent more than anything right now.
“i mean, the united states? i’ll be there alone, no family, no friends. it’s not the money or opportunities i’m concerned about, bakugou. it’s about my happiness.” you explained. “isn’t that something you’re thinking about too?”
bakugou weighs his options. he thinks he has nothing else to lose, but he also considers the fact of you breaking his heart even more than it is. besides, you were smart, he knew you were going to take the offer anyway no matter how bad your nerves were eating you up.
“you can’t think with your heart about things like this, y/n.” he knows he’s an asshole. he knows you’re looking to him for the reassurance you want to hear but he just can’t give it.
“i’m not! i just want to be happy doing the things i love and that’s not possible in an environment i cant stand to be in.”
“you don’t know that yet.”
“i’m getting a pretty good feeling.”
“because you’re scared.”
you shrug, “so what? you don’t know how i feel. you’ll be here with your mom, dad, and all of your friends. i’ll have to start over from scratch in a country i know nothing about.”
he scoffed, his eyes darting away from your figure. “right because you know exactly how i feel.” his tone bled with sarcasm.
“you don’t tell me how you feel for anything, so sorry for taking an educated guess.” you retorted.
“you never ask to begin with.”
“as if you’d even tell me. you think i haven’t noticed you avoiding me these past couple of weeks? you don’t even talk to me anymore.”
now the roles reversed, you stared at him, bakugou not daring to look into your eye.
he shifted in his position, beginning to become uncomfortable. he replayed in his mind what he should’ve done moments ago instead of coming to speak to you.
“nothing to say?” you were playing with fire, not caring that you were poking the bear. “guess that’s not anything new. you just do whatever you want, say whatever you wish without thinking of the other person, because you’re ‘katsuki bakugou’. the man who cares about none other than the title of being the number one hero.”
“that’s not fuckin’ true and you know it.” he snaps his head towards you.
“do i?” your eyes searched his. “maybe a few months ago i would’ve, but you’ve been treating me like an outcast recently. i thought i mattered to you! i thought we were something!”
“what do you want me to say here?”
“i want you to be honest.”
bakugou clenched his teeth, his jaw sharpening from the action. of course he wanted to be with you, there was no other girl that he could imagine being with. but it just couldn’t work. you weren’t made to be with a monster, and he didn’t deserve to enjoy something so sweet as you.
so, bakugou opted to refuse the truth once again, brushing her off.
“you’re just too good for me.” he simply replies. “don’t waste your potential here. go to america.”
bakugou takes no more time to indulge in your erratic behavior, so he leaves you at the terrace, the noise of the party being heard the moment he opened the side door.
he wanted you more than anything. if the universe loved him a little more, then maybe things between you two would work out. but because of his shitty luck and vexatious attitude, you two just didn’t match.
he also knew there was just someone you were bound to fall in love with in america.
bakugou wasn’t going to lead you on to make a stupid decision. even if that meant destroying himself in the process.
the morning after, your name wasn’t to be found on any of his socials, and his messages to you turned green. if he didn’t know before, then he definitely knew now that he burned anything he had with you.

☆༉ — KATSUKI BAKUGOU. in good hands.
Tumblr media
about. katsuki experiences phantom pain in his hands from quirk usage and you try to massage the pain away.
warnings. minors, blank and ageless blogs do not interact ! sfw, hurt comfort, fluff, angst, phantom pain/limb, war arc references, ptsd, mentions of therapy, descriptions of pain, bakugou being loved so tender, afab!reader + pro hero!bakugou.
Tumblr media
the idea of giving bakugou hand massages is so intimate.
his quirk is so raw and powerful, i feel like becoming a pro-hero would only make his palms more calloused, cause aches between his fingers and scars that burn like with a phantom pain at random points during the day. and even though katsuki is smart enough to know that his scars have healed, his wounds have scabbed over and new skin has grown — he can’t shake the stabbing, tingling feeling that crawls up his arms as if a thousand tiny needles are pricking him.
the massages start when you catch bakugou on his knees in the middle of your shared bedroom, his hands clenched in fists so tight his nails have made his palms bleed. you set the fright in his eyes, the ache intertwined with the mauve brown that forms a rim around the ruby centre.
“what…what happened kats?” you’re quick to fall to your knees by his side, hesitant to touch him, worried for his safety — because katsuki hasn’t been like this in years. he’s been doing so well, seeing his therapist and taking his meds — ever since the day he came back to life.
but you know just by looking at him and listening to the ragged breaths just barely escaping his lungs, that bakugou is not okay. “i don’t fucking know,” his voice is strangled and panicked, like a deer caught in a hunter’s trap it can’t escape. “it just…it just fucking hurts a-and i can’t get it to stop.”
that day, you hesitantly reach out to touch katsuki— trying not to spook him as if he’s a frazzled wild animal. “let me see,” you whisper evenly, avoiding a croak in your voice because seeing him hurt, hurts you. slowly but surely, the blonde uncurls his fists, letting you take his hands into your own — smaller ones. at first, his strong and muscular stature flinches back, crumbles down to the ground in chunks of the brash man he used to be. “it’s okay, baby, i got you.”
your words wrap around katsuki like a tender hug, safe and secure between each and every one. your finger tips trace softly over the marred flesh of his hands, guiding katsuki through each of his painfully relived memories. trembles wrack the blonde’s body like a high magnitude earthquake — he can barely hold it back now, the tears that gather in his sun kissed lashes and burn tracks down his cheeks. but you don’t want him to hold back. you want him to feel.
thumbing the parts of his hands where the pain is centred, you lean forward to kiss bakugou on the forehead, providing an epicentre of relief. he wouldn’t call you a cure, no, it’d be too selfish to put the burden of his ease on the person he loves most. instead, he says that you help him heal, soothing the fuzziness locked between his cramping digits and extends up the muscles of his arms.
when you touch him as if he’s made of glass, katsuki knows that he can be vulnerable with you and that dull ebb of phantom agony seems to dissipate under the gentle drag of your fingertips over his skin. the two of you stay on the floor for a little longer, working through the aches pulsing in katsuki’s palms and arms until they eventually stop — just like his tears do.
“thank you,” he says, voice as quiet as you’ve ever heard it. “‘m sorry—“
“never be sorry for being in pain or asking for help.” you cut him off before his words take residence in the quiet hum of the air. shifting to your knees so that you tower over him (sitting legs crossed on the floor), you drag katsuki’s head to rest in your chest — cradling him and shielding him from the cruel world. “i don’t ever want you to be sorry for this. i’ll by your side no matter what. you hear me, baby?”
katsuki only nods, knowing doesn’t need to respond with words while his hands hesitantly come up to wrap around your waist. he pulls you into him so that you don’t disappear. and while you stroke back his hair and squeeze him so tight — katsuki realises that as long as he has you, he’ll never be weak or have to hide how much life hurts sometimes.
as long as he’s with you, he’ll be in good hands.

Hi, sweets 🍭 I'd like to request deaf Bakugo headcanons - just him interacting with his little girl that demands his attention as she wants him to play with her (she is aware dad is a little off because he can't hear)
MY HERO ACADEMIA MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
As Bakugo's hearing begins to fade periodically with time, his little girl starts noticing the subtle changes.
The little girl, at the age of 5, struggles to understand why her dad doesn't always respond the way others do. When you, her mom, gently explains Bakugo's hearing challenges, the girl takes it all in, absorbing the information.
To bridge the gap, the little girl asks you to teach her some basic signs. With wide-eyed enthusiasm, she practices and learns the signs, eager to communicate better with her dad.
She comes up with creative ways to catch Bakugo's attention - a gentle tap on his lap, taking his hand and giving it a squeeze, or sometimes just grabbing one of the merchandise plushies you collect at home and presenting it to him.
deaf!Bakugo, in turn, has developed a keen sense of visual awareness to understand all of his little girl's signals.
Despite being aware that her dad is a bit different, she continues to demand his attention for playtime! deaf!Bakugo, unaware that his daughter is learning sign language, is pleasantly surprised one day when she excitedly signs to him, asking him to play with her. His heart brims with love and pride, witnessing the earnest effort she's making to connect with him, and he finds it challenging to hold back tears in the middle of the living room.
deaf!Bakugo often engages in games that don't rely heavily on sound but thrive on shared moments. Building intricate block towers, drawing colorful masterpieces, and playing with dolls become their cherished activities!
When it's playtime, Bakugo's face lights up with a soft smile as he watches his daughter's enthusiasm. He might not hear her words and laughter, but he feels the warmth of her joy radiating through the room.
deaf!Bakugo has developed a set of creative signals and cues to respond to his daughter's requests. Whether it's a gentle tap on the shoulder or a specific hand gesture, they have established their own silent language.
As deaf!Bakugo gradually loses his hearing completely, his daughter's ability to communicate with him through signs becomes an invaluable bridge that allows them to share laughter, love, and a world of understanding.
Despite being a hero and handling the challenges of his job, there are moments when deaf!Bakugo, alone in his office while working from home, breaks down. The silence around him reminds him of the laughter of his beloved little girl he can't hear anymore, and it hits him emotionally.
The very first time they finish playing with his daughter's dolls and plushies, Bakugo's heart melts and he can't hold back tears as his little girl approaches him, using sign language to say, "Thank you for playing with me. I love you, Daddy."
The girl is a little scared seeing her dad crying as it is an extremely rare sight. So, she climbs onto his lap, strokes his rough cheeks marked by many scars from the battles he fought, and signs at him, "Daddy, don't cry, I love you. I'll hug you, and it will be okay."

9:17 pm - bakugou katsuki
Tumblr media
+ breakup angst
Tumblr media
You stared out at the city scape, refusing to look over at the guy in the drivers seat who was currently breaking your heart.
“So this is why you’ve been so distant?”, sighing, bakugou leaned his head back against the headrest.
“I’ve been busy, which is exactly why I’m having this conversation with you”, scoffing you finally looked over at him.
“This is a conversation?”, you ask, gesturing between the two of you.
“We’re talking aren’t we?”, you wanted to laugh, even while breaking up with you, he somehow still managed to be snarky.
“Not really Katsuki, you’re telling me what’s going to happen”, you knew that wasn’t exactly fair, he was trying to explain to you why he couldn’t handle a relationship right now. Which somehow made you madder, it wasn’t that he didn’t want you, he just didn’t want you right now.
“Okay well, I guess I’m trying to have a conversation but you're being a child about this”, sitting up more, you shoot him a glare.
“So I’m not allowed to be hurt over this?”, you ask, trying not to raise your voice.
“I didn’t say that I just”, he cuts himself off, running a hand through his hair. He wished he could tell you how he couldn’t do this because it wasn’t the plan. He was never supposed to fall stupidly in love his first year of being a pro, he was supposed to be working on his career, putting his all into becoming number one, not worrying about you constantly. He just couldn’t do both right now and being a pro had always been his dream and he couldn’t just give it up or half-ass it for you. “I’m sorry, okay I’m sorry. I just can’t do this right now”
Biting down on your lip, you nod, not having any more energy to talk or fight about this. “I just thought I meant more to you than this”, you mumble, avoiding eye contact as a few tears trickled down your cheeks.
Sighing, he reaches his hand out for your face, gently cupping your cheek, forcing you to look at him. “You do, that’s why I can’t do this right now. I can’t half-ass my career and I can’t half-ass this relationship. So one has to go”,
Looking at him you sigh, moving your face away from his and leaning back in your seat. “Okay.”
Opening his mouth, his response dies in his throat, because in all honesty there’s nothing else to say. There are no more excuses he can give you for breaking this off and even if he did it wouldn’t make this hurt any less.
“Can you take me home”, you whisper, closing your eyes, not allowing yourself to start crying.
“Yeah”, backing out, he heads back towards your house, the longest 8 minutes of your life.
Pulling up to your building, he parks, watching you as you get out.
“Please don’t expect me to wait around for when your ready for this”,
“I don’t”, reaching his hand out he grabs yours, his callused hand rough against yours. “I”, before he can finish you pull your hand out of his grasp.
“Good night bakugou”, turning around you walk towards your apartment, trying hard to ignore that he‘s still sitting in his car watching you get inside safely. You hated this, hated that you knew you’d forever be waiting for him to realize he could do it both. Waiting for him to want you again, need you again, and maybe the day that he finally pieced it together, that he could have his career and you that it’ll be too late.

calling katsuki after a villain attack while he’s away on a mission in another country
blood is seeping from your sides and you can barely see anything from all the debris but you try your best to bite down the pain as you crawl to rest your back against a fallen wall, reaching for your phone to call him as chills starts to prickle up your skin from the cold weather
answering the call after a few rings with a raspy voice, signaling that he was sleeping before you called. the grogginess immediately leaving his body when he hears your choked up voice call out to him. immediately flooding you with questions as worry starts to crawl up his spine
“babe? where are you?! what’s wrong?!!”
“i- i don’t know where i am kats, i can’t really see much” you say in between sniffles as you press on the gash at your side harder trying to contain the bleeding as best as you could in the hopes of someone coming for you
“what happened?” he ask sitting up in the bed of his hotel room, his heart hammering against his chest as he feels his lungs getting tighter making it a little hard to breathe at the thought of something happening to you
you explain how the villain came out of no where and you were separated from eijirou and now you don’t know where he is or when back up will arrive. how you managed to find refuge under the remains of a collapsed building but you wounds were too severe for you to aid them on your own
his heart sinks deeper into his rib age with every word that spills from your lips, dread sinking into his bones at the fact that he’s not there to help you and can’t get to you on time being miles away right now
“i um, i didn’t know who else to call, so i wanted to at least hear your voice again”, you choke out as you try to swallow the lump in your throat
“listen to me, you’re gonna be okay, you hear me?”, he says as he tries his best to console you
“mhm” you answer while trying to take a deep breath, your lungs aching with each inhale you take
“say it! i need to hear you say it, baby… tell me you’re okay!” he orders on the other line, desperation evident in his voice, needing to hear you say it, not knowing at this point if it was for your comfort or for his own
“katsuki, i’m okay”, you say with a tremble in your voice as tears start to spill from your eyes
“you’re okay” he whispers back to you while he stays in the line with you, trying to contain the tears spilling from his eyes as he continues comforting you the best that he can, exchanging soft i love you’s and telling you to hold on just a while longer until someone finds you
bakugou katsuki was never a religious man but in that moment he was praying to whatever god or deity that could be listening to not take you from him, anything but you
and as your breaths got slower and you stopped responding to his questions as he desperately called out to you, he swore he felt his heart stopped in that very moment, sitting alone in his hotel room, miles away from home, from you

The Contract Pt1
Context: When you broke up with Katsuki, you thought it was the end for you. No marriage. No family. No white picket fence. You had spent so much time on Katsuki and now it all just fell to the wind. But what if a certain green haired hero offered you a contract, offered you the dream life of security and happiness all for the small price of being his wife? Love wasn’t in the plan but maybe it was in the fine print.
Basically: Reader dumps Katsuki and goes for Izuku.
Main Pairing: Midoriya Izuku x Reader
<Masterlist> <PART 2>
Warning: Infidelity, Cheating, brief MxM smut, burning buildings, Izuku being superman for like 5 seconds, tension, angst, comfort
If anyone would have asked you if you were ever insecure of your relationship with Bakugou Katsuki, you would have said no. You would have actually laughed in their face for ever suggesting such a thing. For ever suggesting for a second that your Bakugou, your Katsuki, would ever cheat on you. That he would ever have eyes for anyone other than you. That he would ever find solace in someone else’s touch that wasn’t you.
Because Bakugou Katsuki was not a cheater.
He was a loyal and faithful man.
Or... that’s what you would have told yourself five minutes ago.
Now you weren’t entirely sure what to expect.
You had come back a few hours early from your abroad trip. You worked with the Hero Commission in media, specifically as a non-hero face for the media. A spokesperson for heroes and a correspondent and representative for the Hero Commission. It was a very stable job, very good pay, access to the elite life. It was all you could have imagined.
It was actually how you met Bakugou. He was an upcoming sidekick that had just exited out of UA with the rest of his classmates with a bang, and you were tasked with getting acquainted with them and getting close to them. It wasn’t really that hard. Most of them were pretty extroverted individuals. All you really had to do was bump into a pink woman and a man with electric blond hair and suddenly you were all friends. What came with knowing the upcoming sidekicks at the time, closer than others, also come with the territory of defending them from the media and speaking on their behalf.
You made them look good. You sold everything for them. You yourself were a predominant face in the media for the commission so you did it more than just out of the job but having known how it felt under that spotlight.
But then you met Bakugou. Bakugou was someone you never thought you would get close to. He was brash. He was annoying. He was a stuck up, over confident swine. Yet he captured your heart with those crimson eyes of his and suddenly you couldn’t even feel the ground underneath your feet. He swepped you up in his upcoming world and you let him. He was the now rising hero. The Number Two ProHero of all of Japan. And you were the non-hero face of the hero commission, an agent that specialised in the UA alumni that had took Japan by storm.
The two of you made a fantastic couple, outdoors and indoors. You managed to gravitate around each other like no one else could.
You gave him close to over six years of your life. You supported him, watched him rise in the ranks and as a hero and as a man. You did everything for him that you could. You patched him up after fights. You defended him in front of the media, in front of the commission. You would have given him both your kidneys if it meant that he would be alive and he would stay by your side. If he would be the man you knew who cooked and cleaned for you. The man who would die for you. The man that would burn the world in a fury of explosions just to see you smile.
You couldn’t understand how after all that, you could find him fucking his best friend. Your best friend.
Actually, to be more accurate, best friend was fucking him.
And by the looks and sounds of it, he was doing a pretty damn good job.
You stood in the doorway frozen in place. You weren’t sure where to look or if you even wanted to look. Your current boyfriend of six years, the Number Two ProHero Dynamight, was being forced face first into your black silk covers on your bed as his bestfriend, your best friend, the Number Six ProHero Red Riot was pounding him from behind.
Now if you had any less self respect, you might have found this hot. Actually, it was hot. Hearing your boyfriend cry out, whimpering as he could barely breathe, his cheeks puffy... well it was something you had thought about late at night more than once. However, you do have enough self respect to notice the big elephant in the room.
Your boyfriend was cheating on you.
You dropped your bags instantly making sound, causing both ProHeroes to look up at you. You stood motionless as both sets of crimson eyes looked to you. You looked between both men. “What... the... fuck.” You let out quietly.
Bakugou was stiff in fear, his pupils shrinking as his crimson gaze was locked onto you. This was not supposed to happen. This was not supposed to be how it turned out. He was not supposed to be underneath Kirishima Eijiro with his monstrous cock stuffed inside of him as his gorgeous partner stood in the doorway in front of him. Or at least not in any of his sober thoughts, this was not supposed to happen.
“B-baby...” He started breathless as he pushed himself up with his hands. “I-I... I can explain... This isn’t what it looks like.”
You were still stuck in place. “Eijiro’s fucking you in the ass.” You stated clearly.
Bakugou paused. “Okay, it is. It is what it looks like but...” He elbowed Kirishima in the ribs shaking the now pale redhead out of his stoic dissociation of this whole moment. Quickly Kirishima got off of him and Bakugou slipped to the floor grabbing his boxers. He hopped around for a second shoving his briefs on as if he wasn’t just being stuffed with dick a few seconds before.
You looked up at Kirishima. He couldn’t meet your gaze. The huge prohero, the strongest man you knew, he couldn’t look at you. His shoulders were tense as he looked down away from you. As he tried to bite down all the guilt he was feeling. His red locks of hair fell down around his face, attempting to hide him. You frowned. He was one of the most honest men you knew. He was your confidant, a man you could talk to about anything. The man who could hold you up and support you even better than your boyfriend sometimes. Well Ex boyfriend. And you know what he was doing now? He was banging your boyfriend behind your back.
You sighed. You picked up your suitcases and bags. “Goodbye, Katsuki.” You stated simply.
“Y/N, baby! Wait!” Bakugou raced over to you, tugging on your wrist forcing you to turn and face him. He looked confused, almost erratic. “I... I can explain.” You didn’t say anything at that. You just looked up at him emotionlessly. “I...” He felt as though there was a golf ball at the back of his throat. With you staring up at him like that, he wasn’t sure whether he could speak after all. “I know this isn’t what you want to come back to, but... it’s Eijiro. Eijiro the man we both love. I just... He’s my best friend and we’d liked each other for so long. It sort of just happened and I was planning on telling you-”
“How long has this been happening?” You interrupted him with the simple question.
He hesitated to answer you. You just looked at him hard. “A... A year.” Your eyes widened at the time span. “B-but the first time it happened, we didn’t even touch each other for like four months and-”
“Why?” Your eyebrows knitted together. You tried to comprehend it in your head but it wasn’t making sense to you. Bakugou paused at the question. He looked down away from you as he didn’t know exactly what to say to that. The blond had frustrated tears in his eyes as he glared down at the ground. “You could have talked to me.” You told him. “You could have said something and yet you said nothing. Nothing at all. You made me look like a fucking fool!” Your voice was starting to increase in volume as you glared up at him. “What even is this? Are you gay? You could have just told me.”
Bakugou closed his eyes. “I’m not gay.” He tried to clarify, but the look on your face said otherwise. “… not entirely.”
You just groaned in frustration. It was all so messy. All too messy. You didn’t understand. You couldn’t understand why he would do this. “Then what was this all for?” You asked him throwing your hands up in the air. “You made me look like a fool for what? Dick? So that you could finally have a piece of your best friend? What was it? Could I not satisfy you the way he can cause I don’t have a penis, is that why?”
His eyes closed almost pained with the assumption. “No...”
“THEN WHAT?” You shouted at him. “And you!” You pointed over to Kirishima who was walking to stand behind Bakugou. He shrunk back at your voice as he realised that you had noticed him come over. You turned your head to the side as you looked at him. “How could you?” You said pained and much quieter than if you were talking to Bakugou. Kirishima held back the tears as he still could not look at you. You dropped your shoulder as more sadness than anger filled you at the look of Kirishima in front of you. “You were one of my closest friends, Eijiro.”
“Y/N... I’m sorry.” He whispered. You scoffed almost in disbelief, looking to the side as your face scrunched up to one of disgust. He motioned to the man beside him. “We never intended to hurt you. We wanted to tell you of my feelings for the both of you, we really did but then... We...” He didn’t know how to explain it, looking off to the side. “I... We just...”
You sighed as you shook your head. You sniffed as you wiped your tears. “It doesn’t matter.” You let a tear slip down your face. You picked up your bags again. “I don’t care what the intentions were nor what the reason was. Fact of the matter is, Katsuki cheated. You both lied to me. I have enough self-respect for myself to know that I should never tolerate that, even if it’s from the both of you.” You whispered, looking up at them with such a hollow heartbroken expression.
Before you left you pulled off the promise ring that Bakugou gave you on your second year anniversary. The red diamond ring was one of your favourite gifts that he had given you. You slipped off the ring painfully. You took his hand and you placed it onto the palm of his hand. Bakugou froze at the gesture. The weight of the ring so heavy in his hand it felt like the weight of the world.
Bakugou expected to see you to at least look disappointed, sad, angry or some emotion that you were feeling when you had first arrived, but you showed nothing. Absolutely nothing. Your face just empty. “We’re done, Katsuki. I’ll send people to collect my things for me.” You turned around, dropping his hand and taking your bags. “Goodbye Katsuki. See you and Eijiro around. You’ll make a fantastic couple by the way.” You left out the door and you didn’t turn back.
That night you booked a hotel room, not wanting to bother any of your friends, mostly because they were also their friends too. You didn’t want to villainise them. You didn’t even think you wanted to think about them right now. You booked a room, went inside and allowed yourself to break down. The tears all came back flooding. As much as you loved Kirishima and Bakugou, you loved them so much in your heart, what they did wasn’t respectful to you. They could have told you. They could have been honest with you, but they snuck around. They lied to you.
You bawled your eyes until no more tears could flow, you cried so hard that your body forced to you to black out into an empty sleep and damn were you grateful for it. Nothing had felt better like nothingness. Like floating empty not having to see them together in your head.
When you had woken up, you weren’t sure what to do. You and Bakugou had been living together in his apartment for the past five years but now you were homeless. It wasn’t particularly hard for you to find a new apartment for the time being, you did work with the commission and that did have its perks. However, you weren’t even sure if you could do it right now. So you did the most spontaneous random thing you could do.
You left the country for the next two years.
“Dynamight!” One of his sidekicks called as they were escorting another civilian out of the burning apartment building that was in front of them. No one knows how it had gotten this bad. Why weren’t the heroes or the fire department notified earlier. It is what everyone wanted to know but no one got an answer to it.
Prohero Dynamight turned around to look to his sidekick. He was directing the chaos that was happening around the building. It wasn’t exactly how he wanted to spend his Friday night but when hero work calls, it calls. The fire was a blazing hot mess of heat. One could feel it from just standing outside. Bakugou himself was shocked that there could still be anyone else still left inside. Alive that is.
“The building is coming down sir!” The sidekick shouted pointing back to the apartment building.
Bakugou scowled as he heard the loud creaking of steel enforcements. It was so loud he could feel it in his chest, underneath his boots. “Clear the area!” He shouted. “I want no one near this thing if it comes down.” He turned to look at the sidekicks under him that all nodded and stuck to his orders. He put a finger to his earpiece. “How’s it looking Red?” He asked.
“There are still a few people missing.” Prohero Red Riot spoke over the comms. He was with some civilians in a safety zone, making sure the right people went to medical and others were kept warm for the night and received some assistance whether it be calling loved ones or finding their loved ones. “I’ve received some information that there’s someone missing who didn’t get out. I don’t know who it is.”
Bakugou’s scowl only deepened. Of course there was someone that was unaccounted for. He tried to think fast. He could fly in and check the higher levels with less fire but that in itself was dangerous. The fire department had already agreed with him and either putting out the fire or waiting for the building to come down. It wasn’t safe to send in their fighters anymore. Water was already being sprayed into the building from all sides and yet it only seemed to stay the same. He let out a sigh. He put a finger to his comms.
“Dynamight!” He turned his head to the chief of police. They had a finger pointed up to a higher level of the apartment.
Standing by a windows ledge was a civilian. They were coughing up a storm but they were holding something in thick towels. They tried waving down the people below but it was clear that they were heavily disorientated from the smoke and fire.
“Landing mat now!” Dynamight yelled, evoking more action.
He took one step, and everything was shaking underneath him. The ground was shaking and something was awfully wrong. Everyone quickly held something stable and secure. Bakugou looked up and then he saw them falling. For a split second it was almost as if time stopped itself. The civilian was out of the window and in the air. He took stand, his hands sparking.
Then like a jet something flew in the sky with a spark of light and fire exploded out of the building forcing everyone back. Bakugou raised an arm over his eyes as he forced himself to look up.
Floating down in front of the burning building that immitted light was the silhouette of a man with a cape on. Prohero Deku floated down from the sky like a gift from the heavens, a saviour sent by God himself,  his cape blowing behind him as he held the remaining civilian in his arms. He landed on the ground with a thud before turning his head up to look at everyone else. He quickly moved with the civilian in his arms towards an ambulance.
“I have a civilian here! Severe smoke inhalation from the looks of it, dehydrated and unconscious!” He shouted as he placed them down on a stretcher for the paramedics. The paramedics took the towelled bundled out of the civilian's arms. It was only then that Midoriya froze at the face of the civilian. Bakugou stormed over to Midoriya, questions on how the hell Midoriya got here, but then the green haired hero whispered a name Bakugou wasn’t expecting. “Y/N.”
Bakugou looked down in the light of the ambulance to see you with an oxygen mask on your face, barely breathing. Sweat lined your forehead and body, your clothes having areas soaked with it or with burnt marks. Midoriya held the bundle in his arms and then he felt something move in it. He took a step back, unfurling the bundle of towels. It was then that he froze. In the bundle of towels was a baby. A little baby boy who was on the brink of crying. Midoriya quickly dropped all the towels that weren’t necessary for keeping the little boy away from the fire and kept him in his blanket.
He shushed him quietly holding the baby to his chest tighter. “Hey there little guy.” He whispered with a smile on his face. “Sh... it’s okay. It’s okay.” He said softly. The baby started to calm down, moving his hands up towards Midoriya’s face. Midoriya’s smile broadened as he laughed lightly. He looked up at the paramedics, moving to pass the child to them. “Keep him with her. We don’t want to separate them.” He told them seriously. “Check him too, but she kept him wrapped in towels and he doesn't seem to have any burns or trouble breathing.” He reported as the little baby boy was handed over.
“Thank you, Deku, sir.” They nodded their head. They closed the ambulance with a loud bang and the ambulance roared to life. It’s siren going off as it drove away to the closest hospital.
Both proheroes stood in silence at everything going on around them for a moment. Midoriya sighed before turning to Bakugou. He folded his arms over his chest and looked to the blond explosion hero. “What’s the report, Dynamight?” He asked, skipping pleasantries to focus on the task at hand that was putting out the fire.
Bakugou was still looking off in the direction of where the ambulance had gone. He hadn’t seen you in years and here you were, back in Japan without a word or trace. It was shocked him to his core more than anything else. However, Bakugou didn’t have time to be shocked. Not when Deku was standing right next to him. His crimson gaze flicked to Midoriya. He scowled. “How did you get here, Deku?”
“I flew.”
“I thought you couldn’t fly.”
“I was floating in a constant direction,” Midoriya put a hand out flat to show Bakugou what he meant. “at a constant speed, uniform velocity by the way,” He clarified for Bakugou which only made the blond scowl. “Of 400 km per-”
Bakugou tsked. “I know what you mean, you damn nerd! I don’t need you reciting fucking physics to me. Why the hell are you here?” He asked motioning around them.
Midoriya’s eyebrows raised slightly. “Oh...” He dropped his shoulders. He motioned forward in front of him. “I was actually on my way heading home.” He informed the blond. “I had clocked out, but I saw Y/N and I thought, why not.” He shrugged honestly not thinking much about it.
Bakugou glared up at Midoriya with a scowl on his face. Anger bubbled inside him that Midoriya just so happened to be passing by and did his job for him. He wasn’t even on the clock and still doing hero work. It was something Bakugou hated about him. How effortless it was for him to be a hero, almost as if he wasn’t born with a handicap preventing him from being one in the first place. “You thought I couldn’t handle it.”
The green haired hero sighed as he brought a hand to his temple. Somehow, Midoriya was no where near surprised about that assumption. He was talking to Bakugou, and knowing him, he was always assuming something. He closed his eyes. He didn’t have the patience to deal with Bakugou Katsuki’s assumptions right now. Not when it was just after midnight and he had just had a 24 hour shift. “No, Dynamight. I knew you could handle it.” He clarified for the blond. “I just wanted to help.”
“Well-”
“Dynamight! I heard what happened, did you get the remaining civilian?” Red Riot spoke over the comms.
Bakugou paused. He put a finger to his ear and hummed. “Yah we did.” He looked away from one moment and suddenly with another big bang of air breaking around him and in another spark of light, Midoriya was gone. He had taken the opportunity to gratefully leave the angry explosive hero before the two of them would be stuck at each other all night. Bakugou rolled his eyes, annoyed at Midoriya. “She’s at a hospital.”
He heard Red Riot sigh in relief. “That’s good to hear.”
“Hey Red...” Bakugou looked back up at the building that was slowly loosing its flames. “It was Y/N... She was the civilian and… she had a baby with her...”
You were walking to the kitchen to fetch a glass of water. It was late in the night and you had barely gotten any sleep. Nightmares had been plaguing you on the fire that had happened. It came to you in the dead of night, waking up to images of the fire still blazing in your head. You groaned as you took a bottle from the fridge, a hand to your temple as you did so. You moved to lean against the counter for a moment, trying to think.
A knock sounded.
You perked up at the sound. It was the dead of night, just to three a.m and there was a knock at your door. “Well this is one way to die.” You grumbled as you pushed off the counter and walked out of your kitchen. Before you could even get to the front door, you saw someone standing on your balcony. Eyebrows furrowing, you went over to the door of your balcony and upon closer inspection saw someone. Your eyebrows raised in surprise. “Midoriya?” You opened the door, allowing fresh cool air in.
“Good evening.” Midoriya spoke with a small smile as he stood in your doorway, his hero uniform still on him.
You looked at him blankly for a moment. “It’s two a.m.”
“Uh... Good morning?” He said with a more embarrassed smile now.
You tried to bite back a chuckle. You shook your head. “Morning Midoriya, what are you doing here?” You asked him, leaning against the glass door of your balcony entrance way.
“I wanted to check in on you.” He spoke honestly. “The hospital had said they discharged you but I was worried. I wanted to check in on you the day after but then I got busy, and it slipped my mind. I’m sorry if I woke you up, it wasn’t very considerate of me to come knocking on your balcony door in the middle of the night.” He motioned to the night sky above.
You chuckled and shook your head. “No it’s alright. It’s... its sweet of you. Thank you.” You motioned for him to come in. “Uh... please.” He stepped inside, stepping past you. It was then you remembered just how large Midoriya was now. His size was something he had gained much of after U.A. He was packed with thick muscle now and tall. However, he still had that layer of cute baby fat to his face (primarily his cheeks). He stepped in looking around your dark apartment. You kept it styled to your liking but still had that space that told him that it was on the higher end of accommodation. “Sorry, I didn’t know I would be expecting such esteemed company...” You chuckled as you tried not to die in embarrassment at the coffee mugs on the table.
Midoriya chuckled shaking his head. “No please. It’s fine. I came in unannounced.” He reminded you. He looked around in interest at your space. “I didn’t know you were back in the country.”
You nodded your head. “Yah... I’ve actually been here for the past half a year. I’ve just been on the lowkey, doing work from home and things like that.” You informed him as you grabbed your cup of water and leaned against your couch.
“Ah, I see. Well...” He turned to look back at you. “I’m glad that you’re back.” He told you with a smile to his face, genuine. “It’s been...” He tried to think of a word. “Interesting without you here.”
You hummed. A sort of silence settled between the two of you, both of you thinking for just a moment. You cleared your throat. “I see work still treating you well. You’re still number one.” You pointed out.
Midoriya chuckled nodding his head. “Yah...” He scratched the back of his head. “It’s the workaholic in me.” He motioned to your couch, asking for permission to sit down. You nodded your head, letting him do as he pleased. He sighed at finally being able to relax for a moment. You watched his thick body of hard earned muscle relax on your couch as  he threw his head back for a second, a thick neck and sharp jaw on display. “Just constant work and responsibilities. Meetings here, patrol there, galas and dinners on the side. It gets...” He let out a small yawn, covering his mouth with one hand. “It’s tiring.” He sighed. He turned his head to look back up to you. “So how’s your son?”
Now that caught you off guard. You raised an eyebrow. “My son?” You asked him with a raised eyebrow. You weren’t sure what he was referring to.
“Oh I’m sorry, are they a girl?” He asked raising his head off the back of your couch. “I couldn’t really tell when I held them, I was just assuming.” He apologised.
You just blinked at him confused. You tilted your head to the side. “I don’t have any children.” You told him slowly. Midoriya looked back at you confused. He sat up, and put a hand to his chin. He wondered if the baby was all a figment of his imagination. Maybe he really did need sleep. You looked to the coffee table when something caught your eye. That’s when you understood what the misunderstanding was. You let out a chuckle in amusement that took Midoriya’s attention. You walked over to stand in front of the coffee table. You picked up the newspaper and faced him. An image of him on that night of the fire carrying you and the baby you were holding in his arms as he flew down from the burning apartment building. “This baby?” You asked pointing to the image.
“Yah...” He said confused. His eyebrows furrowed. “Isn’t that yours and K-kacchan's? Isn’t that the reason you left?” He asked carefully and slowly. He didn’t want to seem too intrusive and pry too much.
At the mention of your ex, your face scrunched up and you shook your head quickly denying it. “Oh God no.” You chuckled. “No, the baby isn’t Katsuki’s. The boy isn’t even mine.” You revealed to Midoriya making his eyebrows raise up in surprise. “Although...” You put down the newspaper. “I wish he was. It would make things much less lonely.” You let out a small piece of how you were feeling before quickly pushing it to the side. “No, I was baby and house sitting for a friend. She had gone on a business trip and entrusted me with her son.”
“Oh... oh...” Midoriya put his hands to his face as his cheeks went pink in embarrassment. Even as an adult he never really shook off how easily he could turn pink in the face. He groaned as he bent forward, putting his elbows on his knees. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to assume.” He apologised to you quickly only making you giggle. He dropped his hands from his face and sat up. “It’s just that, no one really knew why you and Kacchan broke up and after the whole finding you in a burning apartment with baby thing, I wasn’t the only one to assume that it was the case. Shoto is actually about to lose a whole lot of money come to think of it. I told him not to make those bets on that theory-”
“Excuse me?”
“Hm?” Midoriya looked up at you with bright green sparkling eyes almost as if he hadn’t said anything at all.
You glared down at him, knowing he was silently gaslighting you into believing so. You huffed. You looked away from him to look down at the newspaper for a second. Midoriya’s façade broke for just a moment, an amused smirk on his face before your eyes flicked up and there was a look of interest and care. “As I was saying, there wouldn’t be a problem if you did have a kid. Which is totally fine. There’s nothing wrong with having a child. Not that I’m insinuating that there is something wrong with having a child. Hell, I love kids. I would love to have children of my own. It would actually make my mother very happy. She’s been on my case about settling down and in all honest, its harder than it looks. I was just confused when I saw the baby and-”
You watched him amusedly as he rambled off like a train. His words were going a mile a minute and he seemed stuck in his own world for a moment. You weren’t sure whether you wanted to see how long he would go on for or you should interrupt him. You chuckled. “Midoriya.”
He quickly closed his mouth as he looked up to you realising that he went off. He dropped his head in apology. “Forgive me, I didn’t mean to go off like that.”
You just laughed it off. “It’s alright. Really. Although you should tell everyone, especially Shoto,” You popped your own smirk for a second, a spark coming to his eye before you turned back to a serious expression. “that that isn’t the reason why I left Katsuki.” You revealed to him as you turned around to go back to the kitchen. “Want coffee?” You asked him.
Midoriya chuckled as he stood up from your couch. “It’s two in the morning.” He reminded you. He picked up the empty mugs on the table and followed you into your kitchen.
You turned to look at him with a raised eyebrow. “And?”
He paused for a second and for one of the rare moments that you had known Midoriya you saw a dark hint of mischief in his eyes. Amusement mixed with something else entirely. He chuckled and nodded his head towards you. “I’d love a cup.” He assured you. He put the mugs in your sink and then proceeded to take off his thick white gloves right as you put on the kettle.
You quickly kicked off the counter. “It’s okay, Midoriya. I can wash those.” You tried to get to the dishes as you reached beside him.
“Nope.” Without warning, you were hoisted up easily. You let out a short yelp at that. He picked you up so easily it made you feel concerned. He hoisted you on top of your counter, keeping you there. He gave you a pointed look. “You are going to sit here and wait for the water to boil. I am an unwanted guest who has to atone by washing your dishes.” He gave you a genuine smile. “Really. It’s okay. I like washing dishes.” You were speechless as you watched him turn around. He put his gloves to the side and reached back to pull down his hero suit. You watched wordlessly as he pulled off his sleeves wrapping them around his midsection before setting to work on your mugs. You fought back the heat that creeped up your neck at how you were faced with the sculpted image of his back. Few scars littered it but it was a mesmerising site. Hard earned muscle, broad shoulders with a slenderer waist exposed to you so easily.
You quickly looked down away from him. You really had been alone for too long. You cleared your throat. “I prefer laundry.” You told him, trying to distract yourself. “I find it calming in a sense.” You reached back behind you to the cupboard to fetch two mugs. You eyed the Dynamight mug that you never had the heart to throw away. You frowned. You picked up two plain mugs and brought them down to the counter you were sitting on. “I didn’t know Mr Number One washed his own dishes.” You teased.
Midoriya froze for a second. He thanked the heavens that you couldn’t see his facial expression the else you might have seen the way he nearly rolled his eyes back. He closed his eyes and took a breath before forcing a smile at your statement. He shrugged. “I love to do it when I can, but the commission prefers sending housekeeping to my apartment, so it depends whether I’m lucky or not.” He told you honestly, as he busied himself in the mugs and plate that was in your sink.
“Oh so ProHero Deku doesn’t have some budding housewife waiting for him back home? I’m scared I might be taking someone else’s time.”
He scoffed and shook his head. “Nope. You aren’t taking anyone’s time. It’s... it’s just me.” He told you a bit more quieter than he was originally.
Your eyebrows furrowed as you leaned forward slightly. “Weren’t you and Uravity a thing?” You slid off the counter noticing the kettle calm down. You grabbed the coffee and sugar as you started making the two of you coffee.
“Nah.” He shook his head. “Nothing more than...” He hesitated as he turned his head slightly. He tried to find the right way to put it. He looked up at the ceiling for a moment before turning to focus back on the dishes properly. “Friends with benefits, so to speak.”
Your eyebrows raised in surprise at that. Midoriya in your eyes had never seemed like the type to dabble in one night company. He only took people he was interested into Hero Galas and if not it was a close partner or no one at all. “Oh? I didn’t know you fucked around, Midoriya.” You teased as you mixed the coffee and sugar within the mugs. “What’s your type? Brunettes?”
He chuckled as he shook his head. “I don’t have a specific type and I don’t fuck around.” He finished putting the last mug on the drying stand. “Not entirely.” He turned back to look at you. You stood in front of him with a waiting hot cup of coffee. He lowered his shoulders and smiled as he gratefully took it out of your hands. His large hands brushing against yours and consuming the cup more than you thought it would. “Thank you.” He motioned towards you with the mug in hand. “One-night stands and those type of relationships aren’t really my thing.” He told you honestly with a shrug.
You both stood opposite each other, leaning against the counters. You enjoyed the warmness of the coffee as you looked back up at him. “Ever consider becoming a sugar daddy?” You asked him.
Midoriya nearly choked on his coffee. You let out a laugh at his reaction as he quickly cleared his throat. He looked up at you with a raised eyebrow and a smirk on his lips, he glanced down at his coffee before flicking his heated gaze up to you. He decided to entertain you. “What? Are you interested?” He asked you.
Your eyes moved up to him again as you lowered your mug from your lips. You looked to the side with a scoff as you leaned back. “What makes you assume that?”
He shrugged. “Why else would you be asking?”
You looked him up and down wondering if this was him teasing you back. “You are aware that you are the one who came knocking on my door in the middle of the night, right?”
“Yes.” Midoriya sighed as he looked up for a moment. His eyes went back to you, dark green eyes that held something more intense than you thought you could have found there. His eyes moved down before slowing moving up your figure. It was then that you realised that you were standing in little less than your short crop pyjama set with no bra on. You let out a stuttered breath as you held your mug closer to you effectively making you breasts much more defined to him (not to your knowledge). He looked back up at you, eyes dark in seduction and contained lust. “But you let me in, didn’t you?” He asked with a tilt of his head.
“Hm...” You thought about it for a moment. “Did I make a mistake of some kind?”
Midoriya shrugged. “We’ll have to wait and see.”
You spent hours talking to Midoriya, and you barely even noticed it at all. It was like talking to someone you had known for the longest while. It didn’t make much sense to you but then again, you didn’t really want it to make a lot of sense. You were enjoying yourself and you had company. It was much more than you could say about yourself for the past two years. His smile and laugh were contagious and he was a great listener and talker too.
Often than not you could found yourself lost in the stories he chose to tell. All the many things he had gotten through that could make little to no sense sometimes when he rambled but somehow only made the stories that much more genuine. You weren’t exactly sure how a quick check in just flowed into the both of you sitting on the couch for the past four hours just talking. Yet you couldn’t regret it even if you wanted to.
You shook your head as you sat in front of him, one arm resting on your hiked knee and the other resting on the back of the couch. “Oh Katsuki can be annoying.” You nodded your head with a chuckle.
“Can be?” Midoriya looked at you as if you were crazy. “No one infuriates me more than him.” He stated persistently making you laugh. “I hide it in public but God does he have me wanting to punch something.” He rolled his eyes. “He contradicts me in everything. He questions me in front of other heroes when things are absolutely flawless, ridicules me in front of the media and constantly berates me. It’s...” He chuckles as he pulls a hand through his green curls. “It’s fucking annoying.”
“Whoa there, Midoriya.” You put up your hands in surrender. “Don’t take your anger out on me.” He chuckled at your words. You relaxed and nodded your head. “Yah, it was pretty annoying, your petty rivalry to be honest. Or to be more specific, Katsuki never letting it go.” You rolled your eyes at the memories. “And God does thinking of him just makes me so angry. It makes me so mad cause I feel like such a fool. Even now.” You shrugged as you starred off to the side. You had barely been able to talk about your feelings towards Bakugou after the breakup, but you’d always just refused to even entertain it. Then again, maybe that’s why you didn’t move on. “After he cheated on me,”
Midoriya’s eyes flicked up to you. His facial expression didn’t change in fear of you not continuing but that caught him off guard. Bakugou Katsuki? Cheat? It was something Midoriya never thought possible, but then again why else would you be here, and he was out there? The two of you had an envious relationship. Why would that all be thrown away?
“I thought travelling and just spending time on myself would work. That maybe finding purpose in me would work, but no. Nothing’s changed. I am still alone, barely moving where I was two years ago and he is out there. New relationship, breaking boundaries, advancing as the Number Two hero. God if I could just...” You closed your eyes as you bawled up your fists. You let out a smile as you sighed. “Sorry Midoriya, I didn’t mean to dump on you like that.”
“Don’t apologise.” He told you honestly. “I wanted to listen. You deserve someone to listen to you.” He motioned towards you. He took a moment to think, eyebrows furrowing as he did so. He looked back to you as he leaned back against your couch. “You coming to the Hero Dinner next month?” He asked you. “We’ve missed you out there. Being at events, representing us and standing there being the face for the public to see.” His fingers traced circles on the cushion next to him.
You hesitated. “Midoriya... I don’t think I’m that same woman.”
“Aww come on.” He threw one arm open. He adjusted his seating. “You know what I most admired about you?” He asked you, and you could tell by the tone of his voice that he wasn’t trying to pressurise you. He wanted to genuinely tell you. “You... YN, were the only person I could ever see stand in front of a ton of heroes, host an entire gala and then proceed to go outside, control the press and act like its a regular Tuesday all while wearing stilettoes.” You smiled as you looked down at your lap. “You are the only one who wasn’t a hero, who spoke up to defend us against the commission for all the wreckage that happened in the suburbs due to a big villain attack that went too out of control. You were the only one that somehow is neutrally good and balances both sides. You’re a powerful woman, Y/N. You shouldn’t forget that.” The smile on your face, that he caused due to his words, made everything so much better to have said it in his eyes. Midoriya looked out to the windows. “Holy All Might, what’s the time?”
You looked back at the windows too and saw the sunrise orange hues stream inside your apartment. Your eyebrows raised in shock at how it was already the morning. “Uh...” You checked the clock on your wall. “Six. Six fifteen.” You told him.
Midoriya stood up and in a flash of lightning he was still standing in place but this time he had his gloves in hand. He zipped back up his hero shirt, never really having put it back on since having taken it off initially. “I should get back home and take a nap before my meeting at twelve.” He told you, pulling his gloves back on.
“I thought you said you don’t sleep.” You shot to him as you stood up, opening the balcony doors for him.
Midoriya shot you a smirk, sharp canines glinting in the morning light. His skin was glowing, freckles that dotted his skin all over only enhanced by the light and made prominent by his smile. Dimples. “I don’t. I nap. There’s a difference.” You chuckled as you stood against the doorway. He snapped his fingers and he pressed a button on his gloves and his white hero cape came flying back to him, clipping onto his shoulders. He walked over to stand next to you. He kept his eyes on you for a moment. He wanted to say so much and yet felt like if he said anything else he would never leave. “I’ll text you later? Or more accurately, when I get home.”
You nodded your head. “Yah, you will. Knowing you.” He chuckled. You motioned back to his cape. “Does your cape always just blow majestically with no breeze?”
Midoriya looked back behind him. “Uh...” He turned his head back to you. “You’d be surprised how much the PR team pays the hero support department at my agency.” You shook your head with a chuckle. He shot you a wink. “Same time Tuesday?” He asked as he started to walk out onto your balcony.
You raised an eyebrow. “Is that a date?”
“Whoa I never said that.” He raised his hands up. He had a smirk on his face though as he pushed his green curls back. “You want me that bad, huh? How much does baby want? Five hundred thousand yen per meet up?”
You rolled your eyes. “Goodbye, Midoriya.” You turned to go back inside before pausing once your brain digested the amount. “WAIT! HOLD ON!” You quickly turned around.
You heard laughter but he was already gone. You looked up at the sky with a smile. You shook your head as you closed the door. You weren’t sure how to feel but the smile on your face couldn’t leave. You walked over back to your room that was the exact same since you left it. You fell back into your covers as you looked up at the ceiling. You wondered what the hell this was all for?
You giggled as you covered your eyes with a sigh. Maybe you needed a nap yourself. You moved the sheets when you felt your phone buzz. You raised an eyebrow as you picked it up off your side table. You opened your phone and saw a message from Midoriya. It was an image of him in his apartment with a thumbs up.
Midoriya: Made it home safe. Heavy congestion though.
You rolled your eyes at him.
Ever since then you found yourself stuck on your phone texting Midoriya none stop. Any time he had free time he would send you a text and you would send one back. It was a back and forth thing. Soon you found yourself starring at your phone waiting for it to light up telling you that you had a message. You found yourself smiling at your phone and waiting on every message or text.
Midoriya couldn’t exactly say that he didn’t feel the same. He couldn’t exactly say that he didn’t wait on your every text, voice message or call. Even his sidekicks started noticing it and hell even started to tease him. He didn’t really mind, if it meant hearing you ramble about your day on a voice note only making him smile.
Although he had to put his phone away when dealing with cases or on patrol ninety percent of the time but then there was the hero dinner.
Heroes sat at their tables some with their partners, others surrounded by friends as the dinner was already in full swing. Midoriya was in a tight-fitting suit, slicked back green hair and a champagne glass in hand as he had glasses on and listened to ProHero Chargebolt speak of a mission he had last week. Dinner was yet to be served so as they waited, the group of heroes told stories and enjoyed the live music.
“I mean in my defence; he was in my shock radius.” He put his hands up in innocence.
ProHero Creati laughed as she smiled at the story. She wore a plum cocktail dress tailored to her figure. Momo raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t you tell him to stay back?”
“I did.” Denki laughed. He shrugged as he lifted his own glass to his lips with a smirk. “Not my fault he didn’t listen.”
Mina shook her head amused at one of her closest friends. It never did make any sense to her any of his stories but she loved to listen to them anyways. She turned over to Midoriya with a smile. Her innocent smile turned diabolical as she looked at him. Midoriya’s raised an eyebrow slowly wondering whether he should run or not. “So Midoriya...” She started. “I heard from a little birdie that you’re dating someone.”
Midoriya nearly choked on his champagne. Iida rubbed his back as he put down the champagne glass. Midoriya coughed as he looked up at the pink hero.
Bakugou who sat opposite Midoriya at the round table raised an eyebrow. He scoffed. “Yah right.”
Midoriya cleared his throat as he sat up. He looked to Iida with an appreciative glance. “Thank you.” He said in gratitude before turning to Bakugou in front of him. He raised an eyebrow at the blond. “Excuse me, Kacchan...” He started with a forced smile.
Mina and Denki pursed their lips as they looked at each other knowing that the two pros were about to have it out against one another. Iida sighed knowing that something was about to happen. “Here we go again.” He muttered as he took a sip of his own champagne. Shoto raised an eyebrow not understanding why everyone was reacting like that.
“What do you mean by that?” Midoriya asked putting down his glass and looking up at Bakugou.
Kirishima looked down at the blond next to him nervously, not knowing whether to step in or not. Bakugou smirked as he leaned back in his chair. “I mean it like you think I mean it.” He shot back. “Why on earth would you be dating someone?” He asked with a raised eyebrow.
Midoriya tilted his head, his smile becoming strained as he started to grow annoyed. “Because I want to?”
“Please, like you could find someone to date.” Bakugou shot back as he put down his glass. Everyone at the table had wide eyes at his words, keeping their mouths shut as they looked to Midoriya. Midoriya kept his pleasant smile on his face but one could physically feel the electricity and restraint around him as he looked over to Bakugou. His jaw was tense and he looked to him with nothing but empty green eyes. Bakugou started counting his reasons. “You’ve barely got time for a partner, you talk too much, the reality of actually dating the top hero chases most people away after a month and you’re probably as vanilla as four eyes over there.”
Iida looked over to Bakugou with a shocked expression. “Hey, I-” He stopped talking as he felt a hand go over his.
Midoriya didn’t look to Iida but kept facing forward. The aura around him was suffocating and the energy at the table was too tense for words. Everyone bounced looking from Bakugou to Midoriya before settling on the green haired hero to see what he had to say. Midoriya hummed as he sat back, he picked up his champagne glass and took a sip. “Well, at least I don’t cheat on my partners, Kacchan.”
Like a bucket of ice had been poured onto him, Bakugou went stiff and pale. Bakugou didn’t want to believe it. He let out a scoff. “Yah as if.” He couldn’t believe it. You had never told a soul of why you had broken up with him. You hadn’t want to ruin the way his friends saw him. Or at least that's what Bakugou thought. How on earth would Midoriya know. He couldn’t possibly. But with one flick of Midoriya’s jade gaze to Kirishima along with a raised eyebrow before looking back to the blond, Bakugou knew that he knew the cold hard honest truth.
Midoriya opened his mouth to speak before a hand went to his shoulder. “Enjoying the champagne everyone?” He turned around and his eyes widened. Standing behind him was you and God did you look gorgeous. You stood in a classy suit, your blazer having a deep v-cut revealing nothing but unblemished skin underneath. You stood in heels as you looked over at the table, your hand on Midoriya.
Denki shot up with smile. “Y/N!” He cheered. You chuckled as he quickly made his way over to you with a hug. He pulled you in tightly, glad to have you back. “God, you can’t believe how worried I was when I saw you on the front page of the newspaper.”
You hugged him back, grateful to be holding him again. He was one of your closest friends and someone you never lost contact with. It hurt to be away from him because no matter what he always loved and supported you. It was just the type of friend that he was. “It’s great to see you too, Denks.” You told him honestly.
Mina waved at you, glad to see you too. “Girl, where have you been?” She asked you with a tilt of her head. “You tell me you’re in the country and yet we haven’t hit the clubs.”
You chuckled as you stayed at Denki’s side. “I’ve been resting before entering the scene again.” You say with a sigh as you looked around the table. “It’s good to see everyone like this again.” You spoke honestly. Your eyes went to Bakugou. He was frozen as he looked at you, red crimson eyes locked onto your being. You were still gorgeous as ever. It was as if time stopped for him, seeing you facing him once more. However, your gaze then moved to his partner. Kirishima sat next to him, still not able to bear the weight of your gaze as he held his champagne glass in his hand. He was glad he left his hair loose today, allowing him to focus on a red stray lock of hair than to look at you. “Red Riot...” He stilled at the mention of his hero name. You never used to call him that. Always referring to him as Kiri or Eijiro. Never Red Riot. Never so formal. “Dynamight, that interview on the Daily T show was great.” You congratulated.
Before you could spend any more clearly tense and strained attention on them, Midoriya stood up, taking your attention. The tall green haired hero looked down at you with a smirk on his freckled face. His emerald, green eyes looked your outfit over again, deep dark eyes going over your figure as if wanting to burn the image of you into his head. His smirk only grew causing a dimple to appear. “Look who decided to show up.” He teased, placing his hands in his pockets as he looked down at you.
You squeezed Denki’s hand before turning fully to face Midoriya. You chuckled as you folded your arms over your chest, trying to match his cockiness. “I’ll have you know, Mr Number One, that I had a good influence.” You shrugged.
Midoriya clenched his jaw as he felt a shiver run down his spine and his cock twitch. He clenched his hands in his pockets. He had to find some way of getting you to stop saying those three words. At least not in public. He raised an eyebrow down at you. “Good influences?” You nodded your head, only making him hum as he watched you in a heat causing gaze. “Does this mean I have to keep offering you money to come to events?”
You thought about it for a moment, putting a finger to your lips as you thought. You tilted your head before looking back at him. “Hm... no, but maybe if you beg though.” Midoriya let out a chuckle which made you smile. You opened your mouth to speak before receiving an instruction through your earpiece. You hummed pressing down on it for a moment before looking back up at Midoriya. You sighed. “Well, I have to make sure I keep up your good images for the press.”
Taking you by surprise before you could leave, Midoriya pulled you in by the waist against him. His arm wrapped tightly around you with his face just a few small inches away. You felt your lungs run out of breath as you grew flustered. Heat moving up your neck at the intimate act. He smirked down at you, noticing your flustered expression. “Will I see you after this?” He asked more quietly, eyes glancing over at a certain livid blond.
You caught on quickly. Deciding to entertain him, you took a risk. You nodded at his question before pushing your body further against him. You moved one hand to the back of his neck, threading your fingers through curly green hair and pulling his head down to speak into his ear. Your lips brushed against his ears as you were about to speak. “Same place same time?”
Midoriya was motionless only for less than a second at the feeling of your fingers in his hair. He smirked and leaned his head closer to you. “Better be coffee.” He whispered back
“Done.” You placed your lips against his neck in a kiss. Midoriya’s eyebrows raised slightly but his smile only grew. You were careful not to leave too much lipstick on him as you retracted yourself. You fiddled with the loose hairs at the back of his neck. You let go of him, walking away, keeping a hand on him. “See you later.” You shot him a wink as you squeezed his bicep. You gave Denki a wave as you walked off to greet other hero guests.
Midoriya’s eyes followed you for a second, all his attention on you and the way your body moved and swayed as you walked away. He cleared his throat, remembering where he was before turning back to the table. It was so painfully tense that if he had a knife, he could probably cut it. With an extra pep in his step, he took his seat again and picked up his champagne glass. A clear unremovable smile on his face that he couldn’t even deny if he wanted to. He looked it over before turning his gaze over to Mina. “Mina can you pass the champagne?” He asked.
Mina was stuck with a dropped jaw expression. Denki raised his eyebrows before releasing a scoff in disbelief. “Mr Midoriya... or should I call you Mr Rizzdoriya?” He stated as he took the bottle and handed it to Midoriya, with a teasing wink.
Midoriya chuckled. “What? No.” He shook his head as he took the bottle gratefully. Midoriya took out the cork and poured into his glass. He hummed to himself for a moment before lifting his gaze up to Bakugou who looked as though if he got close enough to Midoriya he would gouge his eyes out. Midoriya’s smile on grew brighter as he put down the bottle. “I mean… like I could find someone to date.” He tilted his head slightly before putting the champagne back in a bucket of ice.
