Another earful from Aizawa sensei. This time he was threatening you to get your shit together when fighting other students for training, Aizawa sensei having a mothers anger but a dads concern really sent chills down your back.

You didn't like fighting with other students, the only ones you would fight were villains. Accidentally hurting people with your quirk fears you but no one would know with the stone look on your face. Your classmates were scared to talk to you or involve you with anything as you didn't look the type to involve yourself in things. You barely show any emotion and the way you tower over (almost) everyone is already enough to make them feel afraid of you. It didn't help that people knew you were trans, your classmates assured you that they don't really care and they like you as you however the weird rumours from other students were something that couldn't be easily ignored.

But, there was one person in class you can't seem to get out of your head. Bakugou Katsuki, the hot-headed omega that acted like a proper alpha, honestly? that's the hottest thing you've seen an omega be and he isn't like that to be attention seeking but to always try to get some sort of point across in an aggressive way. You were definitely interested in him, but your short answers were something that annoyed him and so he didn't want to talk to you at all and ignored your attempts for a conversation and a lunch or dinner out.

At some point he agreed to be by your side but only temporarily as he wasn't entirely attached to you the way you were to him.

"I'm only agreeing to this because your quirk is useful if I'm injured shithead" Is what he says

It hurts to hear that but you were determined to make him fully yours.

Then suddenly your boss told you, you were going for a team-up as there were a handful of difficult villains on the street wrecking everything, they needed your quirk on the field as things weren't going so well.

However, when you and your team arrived it was a mess, you saw a few of your classmates injured and being taken away from the fight while others did their best to help the pros. But your breath hitched and everything fell silent to your ears when you saw the one guy you were interested in fall to the ground struggling to pick himself up,

That's when your anger got to you, seeing your classmates especially Bakugou being injured and trying to pick themself up despite the broken bones hurt you. Even though you don't say much and minimize your interaction with your classmate they are still people important to you and people that made you feel warm inside, and it didn't help that one of those people that made you feel warm inside was your potential mate.

Grabbing your bow and arrow you immediately start shooting at the enemy whilst heading over to Bakugou. but a pro hero started covering for you as you ran to get to Bakugou, kneeling down over his tired body and picking it up with ease sprinting to a safe place to heal him.

A majority of the injured had quirks that worked long-range or was a support quirk so they still helped out from the safe zone. But right now your main focus was on him, broken bones, large open wounds on his body, and multiple scars that covered him. Focusing your all on healing his bones first and closing up the large wounds, your hands covered in his blood desperately trying to close it up.

"Heal heal heal please.. heal..."

Closing your eyes, you felt yourself get dizzy as the energy in your body slowly drained out to save the other. At this point, you were getting reckless by the second. You didn't even care if you stood by his side by the end of this fight, just as long as he was alive you would feel relieved even from the grave.

A coughing noise entered your hearing, and your eyes shot open at the sight of Bakugou coughing as his breathing started to even you felt a breath of relief leave your body but the lack of energy you now have is making you feel light-headed from using your quirk past its limit. Quickly wrapping up Bakugous's wound, make sure to clean up the blood as best you can.

A hand was placed on your shoulder, looking up you see Aizawa giving a concerned look.

"Right after this you're resting, you've pushed yourself beyond your limit."

"Wait what about the others who are injured?"

"They're being taken care of and the villain has been captured. I expect to see you resting in a bit."

You nodded your head, as you finish wrapping up the guy you have a silly crush on. Standing up, Aizawa led you to another area where you could take a quick water break and get some quick shut-eye to regain some strength.

"WHERE'S THAT IDIOT?!"

Your eyes now wide open, feeling startled you got your bow out and started pointing to where the noise is coming from. All you saw next was a guy running towards you, holding you by the collar, and then yelling at you about how you're an idiot for trying to save him and not other people on the field. But due to your tiredness, you didn't register the fact that Bakugou was holding you up and shaking you around like a dusty tablecloth until he dragged you somewhere that was quiet.

"Hey, heyy you're supposed to be resting! you're not meant to be up for another 3 hours"

"3 HOURS MY ASS, YOU NEED 3 HOURS"

"OKAY okay! I get it! Now stop yelling or else you won't be able to speak for 2 weeks"

Saying that shut him up real quick as he looks away with a 'tsk'

"Can you uh.. stop holding me now? I mean I don't mind you holding me but I know you definitely mind holding me."

He didn't let his hands go off the collar of your shirt

"Uhm Baku-

" When I got up the first thing Kirishima and Deku told me was that you rescued me and used your energy on me ya know."

Now you were the one that shut up real quick

"I know how much you've been making an effort to make me your mate but this is not the way to do it. You and I both know that you shouldn't be using all your energy on one person."

Now you were the one looking away with a 'tsk'

"You were bleeding a lot Katsuki, so I had to concentrate on you. I can still heal other people ya know. Even if I'm trying to make you my mate I still put my duty first"

"Is that duty to come straight running to me only to heal me with every energy you have despite knowing you could possibly hurt me in the process?"

He let go of you

You look at him with fear and worry in your eyes whilst he looked back at you with concern

"Stop trying so hard, I already agreed to be by your side, didn't I?

"Yeah but you said it was temporary and you only want me for my quirk"

"Since when the fuck being trans means you're an entirely different person? You're still you, from when you introduced yourself to me and other people, and right now in this conversation, you're still you"

"But what about those rumors?"

You laughed a little, with the mood finally lightening up Katsuki gave a lazy smile

Headcanons I love even tho they go against my main beliefs for these characters

Ace/Aro bakugou. Idk why but I just. Love it. So much. Like yes lil dude be free!!! Fuck nobody!!! You never needed bitches!!!

And especially the headcanons where he's like. Absolutely clueless about love. Like Mina will ask "so bakugou what's your type?" And he just looks confused n goes "?? You mean my blood type???"

Izuku and Katsuki being brothers. Like not literal brothers by blood but they have that brotherly bond. I actually do ship dekubaku but this headcanon is still very dear to me and I think in another universe it could work.

Like it's so funny imagining them fighting the way brothers do or being mean to each other but also having each other's backs and protecting/defending the other. I love that for them

Idk why but asexual todoroki just. Wow. I love him

Reliving this is a trip. I was an interesting feeling the first time thru, and I'm not saying that to humorously downplay a horrific situation. It drew out a little bit of sympathy for Catra I really thought I'd used up by that point, if only cuz what Prime does is really that vile. That's super unusual for me. I went in rooting for Adora to take back someone she cared about, not necessarily cuz it was Catra specifically if you know what I mean, but this got me to want Catra rescued weirdly well. I almost never feel for villains at their nadir like this.

Twisted how empathetic paragon heroes like Adora are among my most treasured characters in fiction, yet I suck at extending the same sympathy they can. You're supposed to see characters like Catra (or Azula or Bakugou or whoever you please) going thru awful things as flawed people with interior lives and subject to exterior circumstances that the heroes are kind/strong/savvy enough to see and incorporate into their responses and my knee jerk is still "fuck off with the pity party, get to the atonement." Or in a lot of cases to laugh while they're down. I always sabotage myself by seeing the author making horrible things happen to the rival/villains, and contrasting them with worse villains, as a cynical tactic to get me and the heroes to sympathize before they've started changing for the better.

It helped that Catra already saved Glimmer at her own peril, and Adora already would've saved Catra no matter what, but still. This is a big reason why villain mind control is one of my least fave tropes. Manipulation and coercion are all good because meaningful agency and responsibility are still there even if characters can't see it, and that is everything in my eyes. To me mind control is the writer hitting pause on a character's growth til a more convenient time in the plot. Or just forever. *cough*🌊🦂🧙‍♂️.

Most of my appreciation for pre-s5 Catra only built up in retrospect through meta-posts and following fanworks like this. So seriously thank you for this series; it's like experiencing the series as it was intended for the first time, weird as that sounds.

You're version of this sequence is as skin-crawling as I think we all could've hoped/feared. Prime is the worst kind of living scum. Great work. Now I can start counting down to the "you miscalculated." scene. Aimee Carrero crushed that line. Can't wait for your version. Positively dancing with anticipation.

It is - at least to me - a really interesting point for Catra to be at, narratively speaking, because it shows the dialectic in her journey. She both did and didn't "bring it upon herself" - yes, she tried to get in Prime's good books, but no, she didn't ask to be chipped. Yes, she saved Glimmer against his instruction, but no, she didn't know the full consequences of what that would do. And when you get people on different sides of the argument, some saying "poor meowmeow didn't deserve this" and others saying, "She's reaping what she's sown", actually they're both right, in this way.

I don't think it would have worked going straight to the atonement, anyway. We don't have these scenes to revel in the depth of her lowest point, we have them to show how bad, how inescapable it was - and then we set up to escape them!

The whole story with Prime has been an interesting writing journey, too. Every time I review the lines, I tweak them to make them that little bit more realistic, that little bit more uncomfortable. I'm painfully aware that we're seeing a lot of similar rhetoric flying around from real people in the media these days (particularly with anti-trans bullshit), and it's no coincidence that Prime is a reflection of this. But my focus isn't on "Oh look, doesn't this character sound like the person trying to destroy our lives", it's on "This character, like the people you've seen on the news, might think they're right but they will never win. They will never defeat us."

Anyone can read this, but know this one is for the transmascs ♡ also it's not written that bakugoi is cis so you can totally imagine him as trans as well, we love t4t bakugou ♡

☆ this man is perfect to be around when you're on your period and lemme tell you why

☆ if you're having bad cramps and can't seem to sleep? He's literally got built in heating pads. He can (and will) warm up his hands and rest them on your stomach, lower back, or wherever it hurts!

☆ he definitely makes sure you aren't binding too much!! Checks in on you and makes sure you're drinking enough water and eating well

"You gotta take care of yourself, dumbass."

☆ being a pro hero means he isn't squeamish to blood, so if you bleed on the sheets/the couch/your clothes no worries! He'll gently send you off to take a warm shower and he cleans up. He might even throw a towel in the dryer so it's warm for you when you get out

☆ he doesn't let you bad talk yourself, or your body, just because it functions in a way you wish you didn't. Saying you hate your body? Katsuki wouldn't allow it.

Poly Class A headcanons!

These are the clingiest people to have ever existed in the history of anything ever. Like, at first they didn’t even realize that they were doing dating behaviors (kissing, cuddling, first names, dates) because they’re so close with all of the shit that’s happened to them. It’s pretty common to find clothes that don’t belong to someone in their closet and find their clothing in someone else’s.

Bakugou is actually a big clothing thief. He can’t really hear for shit so he focuses on his other senses and as such, he likes to have reminders on everything about his partners (he also stalks them on occasion). The other big thieves are Jirou, kaminari and supprisingly, Yaomomo.

Sometimes they have collective sleepovers in the common room, dragging their mattresses downstairs to make one bug bed for all of them to cuddle in. Kaminari always keeps right next to Bakugou, head on his shoulder and feet hooked together. He won’t explain why but that’s what always ends up being in the morning. Midoriya sleeps next to moda. Neither is really a sleep cuddled but they holds hands sometimes if one of them has a bad nightmare.

Iida is slowly learning to cook and do other household chores. He refuses to be a burden or have to rely on anyone so he enlisted Satou to teach him cooking and Ashido to teach him the basics of normal people life. Todoroki is being taught by bakugou for some reason, and neither will say what the reason is (todoroki lost a bet).

Date nights! So sometimes the squads will go on group date nights together or just friend nights when they just want to focus on each other or someone will ask someone else on an individual date.

Tokoyami and Shinsou have a standing friday date to the occult store nearby. It’s run by two queer people have been queer platonic partners since they were sixteen and both of them are trans. Tokoyami likes to browse (and buy shiny things for their horde) while shinsou gets the gossip. Afterwards they go get dinner somewhere and just talk.

Not everyone is dating everyone. It’s like this big queer platonic relationship with some of them dating but all of them act like it. Todoroki’s relationship board looks like a giant spiderweb with a bunch of different colored thread.

Bakugou has this weird sixth sense for sickness. Once Midoriya was getting sick and he walked downstairs to get breakfast, only to be confronted with the entire bakusquad staring at him and frog marching back to bed (they know to trust bakugou’s instincts).

Kaminari likes to flirt by stealing someone’s clothes and asking how he looks (this has caused so many fights with aoyoma)

1 - go-to drink order

fable ~ irl i really love sweet drinks! i think any of my self inserts’ go-to would be either honey milk tea with tapioca or warm vanilla black tea with lots of sugar and milk!

nagito ~ sharply contrasting me, he doesn’t like sweet stuff very much. he canonically likes anti-energy drinks (i guess thats what theyre called?) but i think he would like plain green tea a lot. maybe with a little honey?

2 - grooming routine

scara ~ i think even before he has a more chill domestic life as wanderer, he’s pretty neat and likes to stay clean. i always think of him with doll joints so i imagine he always has to scrub around his elbows, chest, knees, etc more than anywhere else because dirt probably gets built up there. this might just be me projecting but i think he tends to feel gross pretty quickly even after a thorough bath (like, the next day, if he ends up getting too hot during the night, etc). i don’t think his hair would get tangled easily, but he likes to brush it a lot. he’s constantly fighting static electricity to keep his hair flat lmaooo. he doesn’t rly need to sleep but he always feels more at ease when he has the chance for some self care after a long day.

4 - scars/tattoos?

ohhh boy. this one will defs be the longest one XD

all of them have scars from each other (bites, cuts, and burns respectively), and kiri and kento have stretch marks from their own quirks.

i don’t wanna drop manga spoilers so some of the headcanons for bakugou i can’t say quite yet lolz. i think he probably has burns from his own quirk, and ive always enjoyed the headcanon that he has a semi-permanent line over his nose where his mask sits. i think he would absolutely have some tattoos, as well. obvs he has an all might one, it’s probably something small on his shoulder or back, and i also really love the idea of him having tattoos of kiri and kento’s logos too (maybe near his heart because cute).

i have a headcanon that kiri’s skin breaks slightly in some places when he uses his unbreakable form for the first few times, so he has some almost invisible lines all over him where the breaks have healed. there’s obviously the canonical scar over his right eye, where he accidentally cut himself when his quirk first developed, too. his scars are fewer and less intense than bakugou’s and kento’s because of his quirk, but he has a major one on his shoulder where bakugou grabbed him during a spar. i don’t think he would have a lot of tattoos, but the idea of him with a crimson riot one is really cute to think about.

kento. where to begin with this guy. i think when he initially escapes the lab he has a lot of bruises that last a lengthy amount of time, but those do eventually heal. the fireballs he can summon with his quirk left burns on him when he was still getting used to the powers. he has a tattoo of the number ‘014’ on his right wrist (his experiment number), but later on i think he would have lots of pretty and intricate tattoos. he seems like the type to have the spiderweb neck/shoulder tattoo thing, and maybe a half sleeve of roses? idrk what specific ones i want him to have, but i think he would have a lot of really pretty ones.

6 - oldest/middle/youngest/only child?

cael is an only child with older child energy. i think it would be super sweet if he used his cafe as a safe space for others, where he meets other trans people and offers all the support he can. local trans guy takin care of his family yk <3

8 - place where they sleep

i think that most frequently, venti sleeps in the windrise tree. he brings blankets and pillows to the place in the center where the tree disperses into limbs, and makes a sort of nest. during naps he usually sleeps without all the cushioning, but he likes bundling up and being surrounded in soft things. the breeze is usually stronger around windrise, but the tree acts as a buffer so it doesn’t disturb him or make it too cold. he probably does have a house somewhere, but he much prefers to sleep in the open and feel the wind around him.
