Bakugou stops in the middle of the room, taking in all of the posters on the walls and eyeing suspiciously at the punching bag as if he’s never seen one before in his life. He sways a little before he frowns and squints dangerously. Kirishima tenses in preparation for some snarky remark about his inability to decorate, but all that comes out of Bakugou’s slurred mouth is, “This isn’t my fucking room.”

Wow, okay, maybe he’s a lot more drunk than Kirishima first thought.

“Run while you still can,” Kirishima mouthed urgently across the room, his eyes wide as saucers. But before Katsuki could retreat, a small, determined party-goer spotted him, dashing towards him as she held hands with Echiko. “You’re next!” she declared triumphantly, grabbing his hand with surprising strength.

But it was too late. Before Katsuki could even process the warning, a horde of tiny party-goers descended upon him. They grabbed at his hands, tugging with surprising strength, their laughter ringing in his ears like some kind of siren song.

“For the record, I came here for my fucking clothes, you absolute cunt!” Katsuki shouts with no malice, willingly allowing himself to be dragged away towards the backyard reception.  The space was an explosion of pink, a barrage of tulle and glitter that seemed to permeate every corner of Kirishima's residence, transforming it into a scene straight out of a fairy tale. Echiko, the youngest Kirishima, was radiant as a princess should be on her birthday, surrounded by her court of equally enthusiastic friends.

Do you have any long kiribaku fic requests? Like, 100k, 200k, 300k etc

Something I can sit with for a bit? I’ve been burning through so many that are under 50k and I love that but I have a weekend free to do nothing for the first time in forever and want to settle in

I'm actually glad that someone has asked for this rec because I've been feeling really bad lately that my account has been so inactive while I recover.

So, to try and make up for it, I've put together this rec list of some longer kiribaku fics (maybe not 300k but still pretty long) that have had such a profound impact on me since I've joined the fandom, some of which have really helped with and improved my writing!

I hope you find something of interest among these choices, Anon, as I've enjoyed them all so much! <3

1. In the Roaring Autumn by thegrimzuera. (94k) I'm in the process of re-reading this fic at the moment! A College AU with Katsuki as the main POV (which I love) and his characterization is so well done. I actually picked up and adapted a lot of my current Katsuki writing from this fic when I was first figuring out how to write his character! Highly recommend, Kirishima is a lovely jock who ends up teaching a scorned Katsuki about friendship and how being manly means taking responsibility for your actions. A slow burn that is very well done, all around just a really fun read and so I am reading it again (and again and again and again and...)

2. Tomorrow, Today by timetoboldlygo. (87k) It's been a while since I've read this fic but I've been meaning to come back to it for some time now (HAH, that's like a pun without the set up because -) It's a Time-Travel AU! Love love love that. Future Husbands Bakugou and Kirishima get sent back into their old junior high bodies (to before they met at Yuuei, if I'm remembering correctly). Lots of feelings and working through marital conflicts. I think the story did a good job of taking the usual time-travel trope and giving it an interesting spin from a new perspective that I hadn't seen before!

It's where my love for analyzing Bakugou's younger behaviors came from and probably what eventually spawned the creation of my OC fic later! 😁

3. Broken Bridges by DeathBelle. (68k) Have you ever, uh... have you ever, um, pining?? Yeah. That's this fic. Future Pro-Hero's Red Riot and Ground Zero haven't spoken since their graduation from Yuuei High, and it's a wild ride once they bump into each other again at an active villain site (so bad at trying not to spoil things, ahaha). Another really fun read, a bit on the shorter side compared to the others on this list but it's longer than A Secret Admirer (which might be my longest fic on this account) so I thought it was worth mentioning!

4. Opposed to the Typical by heronfem. (178k) I've talked about this one before (quite recently maybe) and while I was only ever able to read through this once so far, it has stayed in my head for so much longer afterwards, and I think that's a true testament of a great story! Super immersive, really pulls you in for the long haul. If you enjoy lots of world building and fun imagery, fashion labels and plenty of artsy drama, I highly recommend this fic. You can tell a lot of time and attention to detail went into this one, and for that it has gained a ton of my respect!

5. Crown of Thornes | Book 1 by WonderBoyz. (111k) I'm still in the process of reading this one so I don't know all of what happens but as far as Fantasy AUs go, this has really captured my attention. It's gritty, it's got action, lots of conflict and plot twists, I just imagine the fic author must have had so much fun writing this and that gets me really excited to read more! And it's part of a series so there's even more to read after!

6. Moment of Truth by Fanficismything. (104k) This is going to be a really bold claim for me to make, alright? But. This might be my favorite fic on ao3. I have read this fic numerous times because it's a great adaption of one of my favorite tropes and I had so much fun reading it that it literally can't be anything other than my favorite fic. A kiribaku rom-com based on the 2009 movie The Proposal (AKA the greatest fucking movie of all time). I would cradle this fic in a blanket because it just hits all of my comfort feels and makes me so happy. I implore you that if you think you don't need this fic in your life well, then, you are simply wrong. 😂

7. An Abundance of Penguin Shit by Vixensheart. (214k) An Animal Handler AU Y'ALL THIS IS THE SHIT I LIVE FOR! I really enjoyed this fic for so many different reasons, and this is another piece of work that heavily influenced my own portrayal of Katsuki in my writing; I thought his characterization in this was really interesting and leaned on a lot of certain traits of his that I hadn't really considered much before reading this one. There's also (similar to: Opposed to the Typical) so much great detailing and world building and character analysis, ugh I love it sooo much you don't even know. BAKUGOU PLAYS WITH A MF PENGUIN AHXBHAXBA. It's so damn cute and I honestly can't get enough of it. Always recommending. Always always.

8. Metallic Bonds by Kaustikha. (106k) This is another new fic for me that I've just recently gotten my hands on; a Fullmetal Alchemist AU! I've never really dabbled in Fullmetal Alchemist before (yet) but this AU is written so well that honestly, I almost feel like I don't even need to know much at all to enjoy it. It's already so entertaining on its own, the dynamics are really interesting and I'm just all-in-all super hooked on this one right now! I'm really excited to see where it goes!

9. Chitchat and Pencil Pushers by beebuzz. (92k) Of course, I literally could not have made this list without mentioning this fic. A Job Office AU that I find myself coming back to time and time again. Lots of pining and really I don't know what it is about Insert-Regular-Job-Here AU's that I enjoy so much when it comes to kiribaku, but it has my entire soul.

I enjoyed each of these fics for their various own reasons, but mostly I enjoyed all of them and felt the need to add them all into this list because I can tell just how much effort and energy has gone into these works. The characterization is always really well done, the character's conversations feel authentic and engaging, the struggles that they all face vary so drastically (while somehow all being the same exact characters) that it is honestly so fascinating to me to read through these works and know that, inherently, they are all the same story rewritten with a new skin but, outwardly, they're so unique and show so much personality and range between them all.

Isn't that so amazing?? I feel like that's so amazing... maybe I'm just going insane after quarantine, ahaha :,D

Both are viable options, but whichever way that it is, a huge shout-out to these writers and to the others who I have been binging on this hellsite (affectionate) since I got here. Some of these stories bring so many people comfort and entertainment, myself included, and it's nice to be able to share them with you as well!

Happily ever after

Chapter one

Bakugo didn't know how had he managed to get here, at two in the morning on shitty-hair's bed. His breathing fast and blushing as never before. With Kirishima over him, looking down at him with that obnoxious little smile, that made him want nothing more than to wipe it off his face.

With a punch, or… desperate he grabbed his neck and smashed their lips together. His hands burying on that actually very soft mop of red hair.

Kirishima didn't disappoint, for once silent grabbing his hips and making himself at home between his legs…

They didn't talk at all that night. Soft grunts and moans all that was able to be heard till the early hours of the morning.

Bakugo woke up with a grunt as the first rays of sun swept through the window.

He rolled on the bed looking for the shape of his phone to turn off the alarm before it starting blasting, but when he rolled on his side what he found instead of his night stand was a wide tanned back.

Blinking himself awake, he sat on the bed quickly wincing a bit at his hips and looked at the boy sleeping soundly next to him.

Kirishima's hair was messier than usual, down around his face and neck barely hiding the signs of last night hickeys on it. He wore a peaceful expression in his sleep innocent and happy and that almost made him smile but the very clear scratches on his back stopped him. His face went red as last night activities suddenly returned very vividly to his memories.

"Fuck-shit-fuck-fuck-fuck" he muttered throwing off the sheets and getting up to look for his clothes. He stood up on wobbling legs, and tried putting back on his uniform with little care.

He needed to get the fuck out of there before the other guy woke up. He buttoned his shirt hastily. And took his shoes on one hand taking a second to listen before opening the door just a bit to look outside. As roommates his room was just next to this one, so if he managed to avoid running into the extras outside he could be there in seconds.

In this case the extras he was referring to were Mina and Sero, their other's roommates, but that's not what's important here.

Bakugo let a breath of relief, the hallway was desert.

Before he left he risked a little glance behind. Kirishima had moved around in his sleep hugging the pillow Bakugo had been using minutes before. He couldn't help blushing at the memory of how they had fallen asleep in the same position that Kiri- Shity-hair was recreating with his pillow…

He shook his head getting rid of those thoughts, and rushed to his room. Glad to find it unlocked. He slipped inside, and closed the door.

Once closed, he let himself fall against the wood. The little facade he had recreated to keep it together long enough to run away, falling apart.

He slided down the door, hiding his face between his knees.

The never ending string of curse words, running wildly on his head in between frantic thoughts.

He had sex with Kirishima. Fuck-Shit-Fuck-Godamnit-. He had slept with his best friend. And promptly runned out of the room the morning after. Shit okay. What the hell was he supposed to do now? Pretend it hadn't happened? If the state of Eijirou's neck had been any indication, that was gonna be hard to ignore. Fuck. He had looked so hot, totally fucked out… Focus. Shit okay. He should, he should probably take a shower. Yeah, after that he could call someone to help him.

Someone who knew what the hell to do with all those confusing feelings that were bubbling low on his stomach now.

He ended up doing nothing of the sort. As soon as he got out of the shower he fell on his bed. Yesterday fight and the lack of sleep of the night before finally catching up on him.

The villain had called herself The Witch and had been going around transforming guys on Frogs and other fairy tale witch stuff on the citizens. Despite her colorful mannerisms she had been incredibly hard to catch melting in the crowd and running away every time they got too close.

They had catched up with her only hours later, when she had claimed to let herself be caught. Probably bullshit, but whatever. Luckily she hadn't been able to affect many people. With being forced to hide every time a hero got too close, but the effect of her quirk would apparently last up to a few days and vary depending on each person's quirks. Which was just great. But he could worry more when he woke up.

Bakugo ended up sleeping for 36 hours straight and waking up the next day only because of the growl of hunger of his stomach. He sat on his bed groggily, scratching his head. He looked around the room for his phone and unplugged it.

He had some texts from his friends group chat, that he ignored. If they needed him to answer surely they would have called to let him know. He also had two missed calls one from his agency and one from Kirishima.

He opened the voicemail from the agency first. If only to delay having to think about the other boy.

While he played the message, he walked to the kitchen with heavy steps.

He still felt tired and heavy but he figured that getting some food would help him clear his head some.

"... *random work stuff*… I know you are out this week but…"

He rolled his eyes, of fucking course that they would want him to come back to work early, despite having been the ones to force that vacation on him. He sort quickly through the kitchen pulling some pasta from the shelf to boil while he chopped and fried some veggies.

"We could really use your help Ground Zero, please call when you hear this message"

That place would fucking fall apart without him, he had fucking warned them that the three heroes left wouldn't be able to cover all his patrols and paperwork while charging with their own work and the training of those students. But what fucking ever.

While he salted the pasta with the vegetables he absent mindedly scratched his belly letting his hand rest over it comfortably for a few seconds before he realized.

"What the fuck?!"

He looked down at himself dropping the wooden spoon in shock.

This had to be a joke. It couldn't possibly be… He was a boy for god'sake.

He looked blindly around the department, expecting one of his friends to jump out of nowhere and laugh at him.

Because there was no way in hell he was actually pregnant right now.

With his hands trembling he touched his inflated abdomen.

It was big. Way too big. Like Ochako's had been in her nine month of pregnancy.

And. It just didn't make any fucking sense.

He was shocked, he was speechless, he was… he was fucking hungry.

Fuck okay, that he could do something about. Keeping it together as good as he could he put his food in a metallic bowl and went to sit on the table.

His eyes watered at the first bite of food, it was hot and spicy and so good he could feel himself about to start crying.

Fuck no. He refused to cry over a fucking bowl of pasta.

Looking for a distraction he blindly took his and put Kirishima's message on.

"Hey Kats-"

He definitely did not smile at the nickname. Fuck you very much.

"See um, I passed by your room this morning but it seemed that you needed the sleep so I didn't wake you…"

Yeah apparently he had needed to sleep, because his body had been busy creating this thing that was growing inside him right now and crap was that a kick?

That tiny mother fucker just kicked his stomach. He didn't know how to feel about it.

"So um yeah, I'll be back next weekend and i thought, if you're not busy we should talk? About.. you know.. So yeah, call me when you hear this bro"

Yeah they will need to talk all right. About way more than that night it seemed.

Fuck, okay, he was getting sleepy again.

He didn't know how good of an idea would be to fall asleep again, but it seemed that was what he was about to be doing anyway.

Drowsily he threw his plates on the dishwasher and walked back to his room. It took him a minute to find a comfortable position to lie down with his inflated belly, but as soon as he got comfortable he was dead to the world.
