I’m not smiling, I’m manically laughing inside. So my worldwide riding friend David that I met in Serbia, we randomly linked up in Athens! Remember, this is the same rider I asked to ride in the Balkan winter for 6 hours to see a waterfall in Serbia that was dry. Teehee, oops 🙃 So what did I do? I asked if he wanted to do a day trip in the cold with me again. It’s so funny, the most annoyed grumbling groan comes out of his body when he sees me. I think he intentionally avoids me sometimes. But hey, he can only say no 8 times in a row before he stops hiding behind the fridge. I can see you, David. I’m a persistent little critter. So here we are. Look how warmly dressed he is. It’s still not warm enough. The first photo is a catfish photo of my feelings, swipe to see my real face and how I feel riding in the cold. But hey, the views are worth it. Right? David? In spring, this stunning mini-Niagara of 25m cascades pounds itself into a dramatic, steamy fury. In summer the falls are less impressive but surrounding pools become shallow enough for swimming. The falls are a 15-minute walk from a car park. Tirana, the capital of Albania🇦🇱 - I found it an interesting & modern city, all around very pleasant to be in. Tirana is clean & affordable, with its people generally being friendly, proud of their heritage (after all they stopped the invasion of the Ottoman empire!) & interested once they figure out you're not from here. They have like 170.000 bunkers scattered all over the country, most converted to art installations and ready for visit nowadays. Also they must love their German cars. 90% of all cars you see on the roads are Mercedes, BMW, Audis, Smarts, VWs and even Porsches.
