The Fantastic Four - negativity trilogy
Book 1 : Warlords of Baluur
Chapter 5: To battle above the world!
The Fantastic Four had gathered in the Negative Zone watch station to observe the results of the warhead's detonation. Without warning, the view screen filled with light as the bomb exploded. The computer did not have time to issue a warning as the tremendous shockwave slammed into the Negative Zone portal.
Reed had realized the matter-antimatter explosion near the Negative Zone portal would have similar effects as prior and reinforced the locks.
After a series of chain reactions, the Negative Zone appeared to have returned to its "normal". Watching the monitors, it was seen that haggard Baluurian vessels left the Distortion Area and regrouped in the Negative Zone. There were certainly fewer ships than before. Apparently, some did not survive the shockwave. Nevertheless, victory was theirs!
Suddenly, a blaring alarm revealed that someone was trying to contact them on the S.H.I.E.L.D. waveband. Nick Fury appeared on a monitor, his face was bleeding from a long gash, and much of his armored uniform was burned away. In a weak voice, he spoke. "Enemy vessel has just broken off attack…heavy casualties…need you here…beginning teleportation!"
The Fantastic Four arrived back at the space station ri find it badly damaged. Nick Fury, holding a bandage to his head, informed them that thinfs were now under control. Apparently, the enemy ship had left the satellite for dead and turned its attention towards Earth. "Someone's gotta go after 'em before they get to Earth. Take the BRAVE ship, at least I'll give you a fighting chance. There's no time to spare!"
The BRAVE (Blossoming Re-entry and Assault Vehicular Engine), was SHIELD's new expiremental craft that could be separated into four individual modules, each of which could hold two passengers. One of these vessels was docked there at the space station.
The Fantastic Four chased after Blastaar's flagship, The Fist of Power. It was not capable of entering Earth's atmosphere, and thus orbited around the planet. It was armed with four monstrous pulse blasters and an intense tractor beam. Before the Fantastic Four could get close enough to attack with their laser cannons, they saw the flagship release an escape pod that hurtled towards the earth at great speed.
The ugly face of a Baluurian battle-lord filled the BRAVE's communication monitors. Laughing triumphantly, he said, "Ha! Ha! Ha! While you fools sit hopeless, helpless, and hapless in your puny vessel, my Lord Blastaar descends upon your planet to retrieve the previous Cosmic Control Rod and destroy everything in his path! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!"
The F4 then split the BRAVE into it's four modules, to evade the flagship's tractor beam and pursue the escape pod. Sue Storm placed a force field temporarily between the BRAVE and the flagship, while Johnny modified his module's flight computers to allow more energy to be channeled to the engines. The increased thrust enabled them to break away from the tractor beam, but due to stress on the mechanics, could only be done advisable once.

"because!” he giggled again, a hiccup escaping as he keysmashed the slot machine in front of them. they were on contraxia, the best party and pleasure planet in the galaxy, and also the only place rocket could get the parts to fix their warp core without prying eyes. to return ms. carter to earth they would need it. “you need someone with a spaceship, and i like being manhandled.” catching the eyes of a scandalized centaurian, peter winked. “oh, pegatha, can i call you pegatha? don’t answer that i will anyways. we’ll make a guardian of you yet. we just have to get rid of that british stick up your ass and you’re halfway to coolsville!” peter patted her shoulder, only reaching down because he won the heels off baluurian woman in a poker game an hour ago. they added a good six inches, but he couldn’t quite walk in them considering even the smallest baluurian alive would still be much bigger than he was. and it was difficult getting them over his jet boots.               /              @knowsvalue

Fantastic Four Vol 1 #290
Tue Jan 05 2021 [10:04 PM] Wack'd: Annihilus has knocked out the Four and is now gloating [10:05 PM] Wack'd: Blastaar's like "Why are you gloating? If not for me you'd still be a prisoner!" [10:05 PM] Wack'd: Annihilus sees the obvious logic problem there [10:05 PM] maxwellelvis: So Blastaar reversed their Bugs Bunny shenanigans to trick them into setting Annihilus on them, yeah? Just to sum up? [10:05 PM] Wack'd: Yeeeep! [10:06 PM] maxwellelvis: That's gotta be a real shot to the pride for Johnny. [10:07 PM] Wack'd: So Sue points out Annihilus should be dead [10:07 PM] Wack'd: Reed for once can only shrug [10:07 PM] Wack'd: "Like yeah, I'm pretty sure he died, I don't know what to tell you" [10:07 PM] maxwellelvis: "And at the moment I'm a little underprepared to work through this puzzle." [10:08 PM] Umbramatic: *shrug* [10:08 PM] Wack'd: Annihilus and Blastaar are thankfully preoccupied throwing each other around but Blastaar has called in reinforcements [10:08 PM] maxwellelvis: Reed seems to think best when he can stretch all over the place, is what I'm saying. [10:08 PM] Bocaj: Blastaar and his nephews Spewie, Rudie, and Kerplooey [10:09 PM] Wack'd: He called in an armada and yeah all the folks on these ships seem to look just like him but with different haircuts [10:11 PM] Wack'd: We're into full-on cosmic mode now as one of Blastaar's underlings in the calvery takes him out and declares himself the new leader of the Decepticons Baluurians [10:11 PM] Wack'd: As revenge for...something vague [10:12 PM] maxwellelvis: "He knows what he did!" [10:12 PM] Wack'd: Oh good Annihilus has saved me from politics by wiping the floor with the Baluurians [10:13 PM] Bocaj: That’s sad, baluurians [10:13 PM] Wack'd: Reed has decided their only hope is for him to touch Annihilus, thus blowing them both up [10:14 PM] Bocaj: DO IT REED [10:14 PM] Wack'd: Sue is like "hey, uh, gonna be making me a widow and a single mom, you get that, right?" but Reed convinces her because greater good etc etc etc [10:16 PM] Wack'd: I like how angry Sue is that he's doing this. Good expression work on her in these panels
Tumblr media
[10:16 PM] Bocaj: "If you're so horny for the greater good then why don't you marry it?" "Believe me, I've looked into it" [10:16 PM] Umbramatic: reed x greater good otp [10:16 PM] Wack'd: Also Reed's last words to his wife are "thank you, darling." Jesus [10:17 PM] Umbramatic: "tell my wife hello" [10:17 PM] Bocaj: Pfft [10:17 PM] Wack'd:
Tumblr media
[10:17 PM] Wack'd: More good expression but also jesus Johnny she's allowed to be sad [10:17 PM] maxwellelvis: Okay this new look has to go [10:18 PM] Bocaj: Sue amd johnny have the same haircut now [10:18 PM] Bocaj: (Who wore it best?) [10:18 PM] maxwellelvis: they look almost exactly the same and it's creeping me out [10:18 PM] Bocaj: How very Lapis and Lazuli [10:18 PM] Umbramatic: two of them [10:18 PM] Wack'd: Also: this is kinda all Johnny's fault huh. His idiocy directly resulted in Annihilus getting loose and indeed in any of the bad guys having the cosmic control rod at all [10:18 PM] Bocaj: Hey, yeah! [10:18 PM] Wack'd: So like, maybe show a little remorse, dude [10:20 PM] Wack'd: Okay his actual last words are "I love you, Sus--". That's better
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[10:21 PM] Umbramatic: pretty explosion [10:21 PM] Bocaj: Reed's last act was to declare his wife sus [10:21 PM] Bocaj: She'll be voted on next [10:21 PM] Wack'd: Boooooooo [10:21 PM] Wack'd: Is what a ghost would say [10:21 PM] maxwellelvis: I am guessing it's because up until the moment Annihilus charged him, Reed was still hoping that he'd think of some way to get out of this, but he still could have said that before she left. [10:22 PM] Bocaj: "I can't read his lips" Reed says [10:22 PM] Wack'd: In fairness he's got a Doctor Doom esque mouthpiece [10:22 PM] maxwellelvis: I thought it was a huge mandible. [10:23 PM] Bocaj: I didn't even know that was a mask for a long while. I - yeah [10:23 PM] Bocaj: Thought he was a bug man [10:23 PM] Bocaj: Perfect Cell vs Pissed off Annihilus [10:23 PM] maxwellelvis: I mean, they draw him as a bug man more these days. [10:23 PM] Wack'd: It has been open to interpretation for a long time but Kirby drew them basically identically so [10:23 PM] maxwellelvis: Maybe when he looks more insectoid that's him without his helmet on? [10:23 PM] Wack'd: *shrug* [10:24 PM] Bocaj: I searched annihilus without helmet and the first result was Nova tearing his guts out his mouth [10:24 PM] Bocaj: Good call, google [10:24 PM] Wack'd: And so the Negative Zone is closed for business. Fury scrambles SHIELD to look for any trace of Reed in space but Sue points out, uh, there's maybe a minute before that becomes pointless [10:26 PM] Wack'd: This is the kind of bonkers bathetic juxtaposition I come to comics for
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[10:26 PM] maxwellelvis: I forgot SHIELD has flying cars [10:27 PM] Bocaj: Hey Nick looks Reedish from a distnace. They should get him to join [10:27 PM] Umbramatic: beep beep [10:27 PM] Bocaj: Mr. Irascible [10:27 PM] Umbramatic: bocaj i noticed the same thing [10:27 PM] Wack'd: I'm pretty sure this exact flying car is in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. [10:27 PM] maxwellelvis: I did a double take [10:27 PM] maxwellelvis: to see the cigar [10:28 PM] maxwellelvis: Maybe Avery Brooks should have joined SHIELD [10:28 PM] Wack'd: And so we cliffhang on, uh. Well
Tumblr media
[10:28 PM] Bocaj: Dammit, stop breaking time you dinguses [10:29 PM] Wack'd: It is deeply weird to me that rather than letting Sue (or Johnny or anyone) process Reed's death it's straight to another wacky adventure [10:29 PM] Wack'd: But that seems to be the way it works for Sue, huh

So judging by this preview from Annihilation Scourge Alpha #1, the Scourge seem to be some kind of tentacle monster that is turning everyone in the Negative Zone into zombies that don’t stop talking about how they are eternal and undying. They also jump from mouth to mouth, it’s pretty disgusting. When Blaastar asks one of the possessed farmers who attacked him, they answer “God” before attacking one of the Baluurian soldiers.
It also makes me think about the Cancerverse because they were undying Eldritch creatures that also wanted to infect the 616 universe and they served the Many Angled Ones gods. Remember in DnA’s run how Heather contained one of the Cancerverse creatures inside her body by letting it go inside of her body (through her nose) but she was also keeping it in check with her psychic powers so it wouldn’t rip out of her. It’s basically how the Guardians ended up finding out about the Cancerverse.
So is the Scourge from the Cancerverse? The fact that Nova vol. 7 seems to be acknowledged in Annihilation Scourge: Nova is also giving me thought that this might be the case. Did Worldmind managed to make its way to the Negative Zone somehow and it’s using Cancerverse creatures to take over? Is this also why Rich decided to help Annihilus and get the Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill, and other cosmic heroes help save the Negative? Also the Guardians aren’t involved in this event so maybe Rich wanted to spare Peter, Gamora and the others another round with the Cancerverse? Maybe he’s feeling guilty about abandoning Worldmind?
I also tweeted at Rosenberg that the Scourge was giving me a Cancerverse vibe and he only liked my comment. So it might be the case?
Yeah it would be retreating to the Cancerverse for a fourth time but there needs to be an end to that chapter and I don’t think leaving Worldmind in the Cancerverse was it so I would be totally fine with this serving as a conclusion to that event in Rich’s life. Also the idea of Rich “siding” with Annihilus against Worldmind, that is going to seriously hurt and enrage Worldmind.
Watch it turns out the Scourge is something else entirely but I already gave someone a good idea for a fic *cough* *cough*.

Annoyance radiated in her tiny frame as the huge Baluurian refused to believe The Almighty Thor wasn’t around and took to destroying things, even going as far as to toss her out of the bar they were in. “I’m gonna kill him.” She muttered as she stood, brushing off the dirt, glass, and bits of brick dust. “He leaves and all of these idiots keep showing up looking for a fight.” She continues as she heads into her home, that was sure to be destroyed at any moment, rummaging through her room for the stone-like item, sighing happily once she’s located it.
“Thor?” She speaks into it but doesn’t bother waiting for a response. “You need to get here now and stop this Baluurian idiot from destroying everything!” She huffs before releasing a groan at the rumble she felt as yet something else got destroyed. “Get your ass back here right now!” She shouts before tossing the communicator to the side, grabbing her trusty weapon, Dragonfang and heading out to kick some ass. She knows she won’t win but she wasn’t just going to let her village be destroyed.

Starmora Prompt: EWTRTW-ish the whole team goes on a mission in which peter is the honey pot and the mission goes wrong. A jealous and badass gamora please.
This fic takes place between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Avengers: Infinity War.word count: 5.5k | ao3
“We have a message from the Nova Corps. They’ve got a job for us,” Gamora announced one morning at the crack of dawn, striding into the Benatar’s kitchen on a mission for a cup that wasn’t suspiciously foggy.
“Mornin’ to you too,” Peter said affectionately, reaching over to squeeze her waist. “What kind of job?”
“Diplomacy.” Gamora started poking around in the sink. “We really need to remind Groot to wash his own dishes.”
“Aw, those are the most boring kind,” Peter grumbled, leaning against the counter. He yawned, unable to help himself. “But I guess we can’t say no, can we?”
“Do you want to say no to twenty-five thousand units?” Gamora replied, smirking. Peter’s eyes widened in surprise.
“And suddenly, I’m awake,” he said, grinning mischievously in return. “So what do we gotta do?”
“Convince a brother-sister pair of self-absorbed monarchs with too many weapons on their hands to sell them to us instead of the Baluurian militia. At least, we better, or we may have an intergalactic war to deal with instead,” she replied, stepping directly in front of Peter. She stood on her toes, reaching around his head to open the cabinet behind him in search of a clean mug, smiling as he wrapped his arms around her middle to keep her steady.
“That don’t sound so bad. There’s gotta be a catch,” Peter reasoned.
Gamora winced in anticipation, closing the cabinet door and lowering herself back down so she and Peter were at eye level. “To put it nicely…these monarchs have a bit of a taste for unique individuals.”
“And by ‘unique’, you mean - ”
“You.”
“And by ‘taste’, you mean - ”
“…sexual interest.” Gamora smiled apologetically. “What can I say? A man of your reputation is somehow more desirable than he should be, Star-Lord.”
“Hey,” he chuckled, then frowned when he realized the implications. “Wait, so I gotta bat some eyelashes in the direction of these people so they don’t start a war? All just ‘cos, what, I’m a half-Celestial who don’t even got his powers anymore?”
“Basically,” Gamora admitted. “But you have to be careful. The whole situation is more delicate than I’m making it sound. Besides, if our relationship was known to the public - ”
“Oh god, your sister would come back just so she could staple my face to my - ”
“Exactly.” Gamora patted him on the chest in reassurance. “I’ll keep an eye out for you, Peter, but don’t worry about offending my sensitivities. I trust you, both as my leader and my boyfriend. Do what you have to do, and I won’t hold anything against you. So…what should we tell the Nova Corps?”
Peter gritted his teeth, sighing. “Tell ‘em we’re on our way.”______
Of all the Guardians, Rocket especially seemed to take delight in the nature of the mission once it was explained to him, snickering gleefully in the co-pilot’s seat the whole way there. “Who knew you were such a commodity, Quill?”
“Hey, I’ll have you know that I was super popular with the - sorry, Gamora,” Peter said sheepishly, sinking into his seat. He didn’t need to look her way to know she was glaring daggers at him. “You’re the most incredible woman in the galaxy and I - ”
“Save it, Peter,” she interrupted with a sigh, waving him off. “Mantis, can you read the brief again?”
“Lord Araki and Lady Aelsa rule over the richest region of Protaris,” Mantis recited diligently, scrolling down the screen. “The Protar are known for indulging in state-of-the-art technology, luxury goods, and weaponry, but do not engage in war themselves. Lady Aelsa recently met and befriended a Baluurian senator who is known to favor war over negotiation, and she wants to sell weapons to their militia in exchange for drilling rights to their mines, which produce rare gemstones that are most often sought after for jewelry.”
“So this idiot wants to start a war so she can have a pretty necklace?” Rocket snorted. “And I thought Quill made a stupid trade when he sold one of our spare engine batteries for playing cards.”
“They were Terran baseball cards, and I hadn’t seen any of ‘em in twenty-eight years!” Peter said defensively.
“Those men were hardly worth admiring, Quill,” Drax protested. “Why would you want to fight with wooden bats? They’re flimsy and would break instantly upon impact!”
“Baseball isn’t about fighting - oh, forget it,” Peter muttered. “Go on, Mantis.”
“Nova Prime claimed that both Lord Araki and Lady Aelsa are big fans of us, especially Peter,” Mantis continued with an impish grin. “So she recommended that Peter should charm them into selling the weapons to us instead by claiming we can give them access to the Nova records in return.”
“Because if there’s anything Lord Araki loves more than luxury goods, it’s intel on his rivals,” Gamora added, eyes narrowing a little at the smug-looking portrait on the screen in front of her. “We won’t really be giving them anything valuable, just false hope, and the Corps officers will take care of the conflict in Baluur long before Lady Aelsa talks to the senator again.”
“As long as we aren’t liable for anything that happens after that,” Peter said, shuddering. “We don’t need a repeat of what happened when we accidentally crossed Queen Veranke.”
“That was mostly your fault!” Rocket exclaimed.
“I am Groot,” Groot mumbled in agreement, barely looking up from his tablet.
“Lean back, Groot, you’re too close to the screen,” Gamora scolded. He scoffed in return.
“I’d like to point out that it was Drax that knocked the statue over, I just happened to be standin’ next to it - ”
“We are arriving!” Mantis interrupted quickly. Gamora huffed out a sigh of relief, rubbing at her temples.
Lord Araki and Lady Aelsa’s estate wasn’t the most extravagant place the Guardians had ever visited - the Sovereign planet still came to mind - but it was certainly ostentatious, decked out in rich mahogany wood and ivory columns, silky tile floors and beautiful damask walls. They were greeted by a butler and led into an old-fashioned parlor room, and were politely asked to sit on a plush fainting couch while they waited.
“Imagine needing a ceiling this tall!” Rocket exclaimed in awe, his voice resonating off the walls. “They wanna grow trees in here or somethin’?” Groot glanced around the room before shrugging and turning back to his device.
“I guess I should do most of the talking, right?” Peter mumbled to Gamora, squeezing her hand briefly, more to reassure himself than anything else.
“I have a feeling you’re the only one they want to talk to. Inviting the rest of us was a formality,” Gamora whispered back, eyeing the fanciful portraits hanging over the fireplace with derision. “From what I’ve read, they’re more clever than they look. If you’re too obvious, if you talk about the Baluurian deal right away, we’ll be in far more trouble than necessary.”
“C’mon, knowing you? You’ve already got five different exit strategies planned out in that badass brain of yours,” Peter said, tapping her affectionately on the forehead. Gamora couldn’t help but grin in return, leaning into the touch. At the sound of heels clacking against the floor, however, she quickly withdrew her hand from his and lifted her head before they could see.
“Guardians!” They all winced at the sheer volume; it wasn’t surprising that they were hearing their hosts before seeing them. Two individuals came gliding into the room, grinning bright, toothy grins. Their skin was a pale lavender color, their hair rendered in deep plum, and their eyes were blindingly violet; even their clothes were purple, heavy ornate robes with gold trim. They were both quite tall, as tall as Peter, with strikingly angular faces and long limbs. The woman, presumably Lady Aesla, extended her hand first. “It’s an honor to receive you in our humble abode.”
They all got to their feet, taking turns to shake hands with them both. “It’s an honor to be here, Lady Aelsa, Lord Araki,” Peter said, smiling easily. “We’ve heard so much about the great work you’ve been doing here on Protaris. The, uh, the education initiative that you funded last month, with that big charity ball? Inspired.”
Lady Aelsa trilled in delight. “Well, aren’t you a charmer?” she said, beaming. “It’s a shame, if I knew you knew of us, I would have invited you. It really was quite fabulous - we had performers come all the way from Klyntar, and a drink fountain that went all the way to the ceiling filled with rare Majesdanian wine. No expenses were spared!”
“How about the education initiative?” Gamora asked. “How much money went into that?”
Lady Aelsa blinked. “What’s that, hon?” Gamora had to bite her lip to stop herself from rolling her eyes.
“You’ll be joining us for dinner tonight, won’t you?” Lord Araki said lightly. “I hope you don’t mind, we’ve invited plenty of our friends - or perhaps I should be more modest, they’re just acquaintances, really - who are also huge fans of your work.”
“That sounds great. I love meeting new people,” Peter said cheerfully, and at least that wasn’t too much of a falsehood. Gamora had a feeling that otherwise, they would all have to lie through their teeth to get through the rest of the evening. “Who should we be expecting?”
“We can’t spoil all the fun now, can we, Mister Quill?” Lord Araki teased. “But we’ll give you a tour of the estate in the meantime, and then we’ll take you to the guest quarters so you can freshen up before dinner.” Gamora and Rocket silently exchanged dubious looks behind Peter’s back.
The tour was surprisingly much more pleasant than anticipated, and Gamora felt slightly guilty for having judged the siblings so harshly. They were a little vapid, sure, but they seemed to have good intentions, though going by their dealings with the Baluurian senator, they weren’t the best with realizing long-term consequences. It turned out that Lady Aelsa wanted to use the gemstones to open manufacturing plants in the poorer areas of Protaris and stimulate the job economy (“With a living wage, of course!” Lord Araki had interjected. “We can’t have our citizens going cold and hungry. Our economists are studying the areas now to understand what sort of resources they’re currently lacking.”). That, Gamora could definitely admire.
Near the end of the tour, Lady Aelsa pulled Gamora a little ways away from the rest of the group as Lord Araki continued on leading them through the gardens. “You’ve been such an inspiration to me, Gamora,” Lady Aelsa murmured almost shyly. “I read about you…your dark past…oh, I couldn’t ever survive such an ordeal. But you’re strong, aren’t you? And brave, so brave.”
“I don’t know about that,” Gamora replied modestly. “But thank you, Lady Aelsa.”
“Beautiful, too,” Lady Aelsa continued, threading her fingers through Gamora’s dark hair. “It’s a wonder Mister Quill hasn’t tried to snatch you up for himself. I know I would if I had the chance.”
“That sounds violent…’snatching’,” Gamora said slowly. “Besides, I think being in a relationship in our line of work can be messy.”
“I can imagine,” Lady Aelsa said sympathetically. “Gosh, I’d be worried just trying to protect the universe with my brother by my side. He’s a sensitive soul, you know? And if I had to work alongside a lover…well, I wouldn’t be able to take my eye off them without constantly wondering if they were okay.”
Gamora swallowed. Yes, she and Peter had plenty of moments like that, and it wasn’t pleasant to dwell on them. “I worry about Peter regardless of our relationship to each other. I worry about all of them.”
“Oh, I didn’t mean anything by it, honey,” Lady Aelsa said worriedly. “I’m sure you do. And I suppose you think I’m a bit of a coward, hiding behind money and nice things, throwing it at other people to make them solve the world’s problems.”
Gamora softened, patting her arm. “We do what we can with what we have. I’m glad you use your resources for good, Lady Aelsa. There are plenty out there who don’t.”
“This house was our father’s,” Lady Aelsa sighed, gesturing around them. “He was your typical wealthy man - all he wanted was to have it all to himself. In fact, we grew up with far more servants and luxuries than you see here. I would sell it, move into something that doesn’t require so much maintenance, but as much as I despised my father’s values, there’s too much sentiment here, you know? And Araki, he’s a nostalgic man.”
“So is Peter,” Gamora said, glancing up ahead. She could see the two of them conversing by the fountain, with Araki smiling as Peter was probably recounting some dramatic story of one of their past missions. Gamora turned away before her fondness for him became obvious, now that she was witnessing Lady Aelsa’s startlingly strong perception firsthand. “Should we head back now?”______
“You and Lady Aelsa seemed pretty cozy,” Peter teased once the Guardians were alone in their respective rooms. “Should you be the one to swing her instead?”
“If necessary,” Gamora shrugged, sinking onto her bed. Though they weren’t staying overnight, the siblings had been kind enough to set them up in the guest quarters for some privacy, dividing them into pairs. Neither seemed too fazed by Peter and Gamora wanting to share a room. “She mentioned it was a shame you haven’t, quote, ‘snatched me up for yourself’.”
“Did she now?” Peter smirked, walking over to stand between Gamora’s legs. He leaned down so they were eye-to-eye, his nose barely brushing against hers. “I have to agree. What was I thinking?”
“I don’t ever know what you’re thinking, so you tell me,” Gamora murmured, winding her arms around Peter’s neck.
“I’m thinkin’…that you’re one of the best things that ever happened to me.” Peter kissed her deeply, bending slightly so he could wrap his arms around her middle. Before he could lower her onto her back, though, maybe take things a little further, Gamora reluctantly broke the kiss.
“And you for me. But unfortunately, we’re going to have to pretend otherwise for the next few hours, aren’t we?” The corners of her mouth quirked upwards in mirth as she slowly unwound her legs from where she had hooked them around his waist. “So don’t get any ideas, Peter.”
He groaned, taking a step back. “Fine, fine. I’ll keep my hands to myself. But I feel like we should be worried about the other people showing up. How do we know they aren’t gonna try to persuade her in some other direction?”
“We don’t,” Gamora said simply, leaning back onto her hands. “So you’ll have to do what you do best - improvise.”
Another hour passed before the Guardians made their way into the formal dining room, wearing their best clothes (in Drax’s case, this meant pants without cargo pockets) and tightest smiles. Hand-shaking and stilted greetings commenced soon after, with Gamora noting that most of the siblings’ guests were politicians and social elite, the kind that didn’t get invited to Nova Corps events very often because of one scandal or another. In other words, outcasts that were desperate to become part of the in-crowd, just like Aelsa and Araki.
“Alright, now that we’re actually seeing ‘em - you worried about any of these people?” Peter muttered under his breath once the Guardians took their seats.
“More concerned about our own safety if Aelsa and Araki see through us,” Gamora whispered back, her eyes scanning down the line. “Don’t charm them too much.” Instead of cracking another joke, Peter instead patted her reassuringly on the leg.
“Do you two have a secret you’d like to share with the rest of us?” Lord Araki called from the head of the table.
Peter withdrew his hand before anyone could see. “Just discussing our plans for the weekend,” he replied lightly. “Nova Prime’s expecting us on Xandar for some meetings. Regulations, jurisdiction, boring stuff.”
“Oh, I imagine you all must live very exciting lives,” one of the bright-eyed socialites gushed. “I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but I do love following the stories of all your adventures whenever I can.”
“It’s not glamorous work, you know,” Gamora warned. “The news articles like to cover our ‘cleanest’ jobs, the kind that don’t hurt anyone or anything. It’s when there are casualties that the cracks start to show, but never in the public eye.”
The others started to look vaguely uncomfortable, exchanging nervous glances as they spooned soup into their mouths without another word. Lady Aelsa, however, smiled encouragingly. “It’s a blessing to have you around, Guardians. Believe me, I’m a supporter of the Nova Corps and the other forces out there, but there’s something so…grounded about you. Something real. You know what I mean?”
“Oh sure, if you mean that I literally eat dirt when my rocket boots malfunction sometimes,” Peter said jokingly, and the entire table laughed. “But seriously, glad we can be of service. We all were going through some difficult stuff before we met, and even though we’re still strugglin’ now, we got each other. Couldn’t ask for a better team.” There was a brief pause as the Guardians smiled at each other - even Rocket looked genuinely moved - before another dinner guest cut in.
“Doesn’t it get tedious, though, having to check in with the Corps? I’ve had a little run-in or two with them before, and they seem so strict,” he drawled.
“They mean well,” Peter shrugged. “And we have a good relationship with ‘em, not about to mess up a good thing.” His eyes briefly flickered over to Araki. “Y’know, they trust us enough to give us access to some pretty interesting stuff.”
“Like what?” Lord Araki asked immediately.
“Records, secrets. Can’t share it unless you’re part of their circle, unfortunately,” Peter said, winking. Araki’s breath hitched a little in response. Aelsa audibly sighed in admiration.
“We must know how to get into that circle, then,” yet another socialite declared. “Won’t you tell us, Mister Quill?”
“They’re picky folk, the Nova Corps,” Peter hedged, twirling his spoon around the empty bowl. “You’d have to do something pretty massive to get their attention. The right kind of massive, of course.”
“You tease us, Mister Quill,” Lord Araki said, chuckling.
Peter tilted his head consideringly, his eyes flickering back and forth between the siblings. “Oh, I can do a lot more than that.” Gamora squirmed in her seat as both Aelsa and Araki’s eyes darkened with desire.
The rest of dinner passed by with relative ease, the conversation moving more towards the Guardians’ many missions and mishaps, mostly stories of Peter’s greatest accomplishments, some of which they had to re-word as to not allude to his and Gamora’s relationship. After all, many of his successes were in tandem with hers, many of his motivations stemmed from his desire to keep her safe. Many of their most dangerous jobs were immediately followed with them crawling into bed together for days, curling around each other as if to reassure themselves that the other was still alive, still healthy, still happy.
After dessert was served, Lord Araki called the entire group into the lounge for drinks, insisting everyone get comfortably tipsy before leaving the estate for the night. Wordlessly, Gamora motioned for Peter to position himself in the large, cushy armchair by the fireplace, best suited for intimate conversation away from the rest of the group. Not two minutes after Peter settled in, she was proven right, as Lord Araki sank down into the chair opposite him.
“You look lonely over here, Mister Quill,” he said. “But you seem like the type to enjoy conversation.”
“Nothing’s better than booze and good company, and it looks like I’m getting both,” Peter replied, holding up his glass. Lord Araki smiled, pleased.
“Forgive me if I’m pressing too far, but I’m so fascinated by what you said, about the Nova Corps,” Lord Araki simpered. “You see, Aelsa and I aren’t taken very seriously by the higher-ups. They think us fanciful and shallow, our reputation built on money and parties. But we have ambition, you see, and having these kinds of connections, they really will benefit our people.”
“I hear you,” Peter said, feeling genuinely sympathetic for them. He knew what it was like to have a reputation that entered the room before he did. “You know, there’s a couple things I bet you could do to get in their good books.”
“Tell me,” Lord Araki said, enchanted. He leaned forward, draping himself over the armrest like a child listening to a bedtime story.
“Don’t do things for publicity,” Peter replied simply. “They can smell a good ol’ PR campaign right away. You think they’d give a crap about the Guardians if all we did was go around saving people’s pets to get our picture in the paper? It’s about real sacrifice, real consequences. Not saying you gotta risk your lives like we do, but little fluff pieces don’t get you nowhere.”
“I see,” Lord Araki hummed thoughtfully, glancing across the room at his sister.
“And make a real stance. Somethin’ to fight for,” Peter continued. “You wanna be about the environment? Cut back on land development. You wanna be about education? Improve the school systems. You wanna be about peace? Don’t be a part of war.”
“Peace,” Lord Araki said slowly like he’d never heard the word before. “What are you suggesting, Mister Quill?”
Peter smiled. Bingo. “Look, I wasn’t gonna say anything, but I know Protaris’s got a whole lotta weapons they ain’t using right now. They end up in the wrong hands, and the whole universe could be at risk - again. Do the right thing with ‘em, Lord Araki. Give them to something or someone who’ll use them responsibly.”
“Like you?” Lord Araki leaned in even closer, the violets of his eyes growing more and more intense with every move.
“Exactly like me,” Peter murmured, grinning. “You’ve read the stories, you know we’re decent people. Let us free you of the burden of ownership, and I bet the Nova Corps will reward you just the way you like.”
“You’ve gone and twisted my arm, Mister Quill,” Lord Araki said, breathless. “Anyone ever tell you you’re a bit of a charmer?”
“I’ve been told,” Peter teased. Before Araki could make his last move, the click-clack of heels against wood startled them out of their intense gaze. They both turned and looked up.
“Won’t you give me a minute with Mister Quill, Araki? I have so much to ask him about,” Lady Aelsa said, reaching over to fuss at Lord Araki’s collar. He scowled, swatting her hand away and disappearing back into the crowd without another word. Triumphant, she sat in her brother’s place. “I hope he wasn’t too much of a nuisance. I love him dearly, but he’s emotional, that one.”
“I could say the same about myself,” Peter admitted with a laugh. “What did you want to ask me, Lady Aelsa?”
Instead of replying right away, though, she leaned in closer. Unlike her brother, there was something far more skeptical in her gaze, far more considering. Finally, she leaned back and said cooly, “How long have you and Gamora been romantically involved, and were you ever planning on telling us?”
Peter froze. “I…didn’t catch that, sorry, could you - ”
“Don’t bat your eyelashes at me, Mister Quill, it’s written all over both of your faces,” Lady Aelsa hissed. “I saw you pull your hand away from hers when we first came into the room, touch her leg at the beginning of dinner. I see the way you look at each other, how dewy-eyed you both get. Not to mention the fact that you’re sharing a room, and she’s been staring at you ever since my brother sat down, and hasn’t looked away since.” Peter whipped around to see Gamora stood at the opposite end of the room, watching them with a steely-eyed coldness that he only ever saw when she was truly upset. “So tell me again, Mister Quill, how long have you been together, and were you going to tell us?”
He turned back, sighing. Being optimistic about a mission never seemed to get him anywhere. “Two years, and…no,” he admitted. “Our relationship isn’t public for a lot of reasons, okay, it wasn’t like we were only out to trick you guys. We’ve both got people after us, and if they knew the kind of leverage they could get out of one of us by hurting the other? Just…oh, man.”
“You’ve hurt my brother by making him believe there was a chance.” Lady Aelsa drew to her full height, glaring at him. “And for that, I’m going to have to ask you to leave. All of you.”
“Lady Aelsa, please, just - ” Peter felt someone’s fingers grasp tightly onto his shoulder. He let out a startled cry, turning around to stare into the face of what he presumed was one of their guards, a broad, intimidating man in uniform whose muscles put Drax to shame. “Hey, uh, this has been a huge misunderstanding - whoa - ”
He was promptly flung across the room, crashing into a side table and scattering its contents, his head slamming into the floor. Gamora immediately jumped into action, reaching for her switchblade and running to his side. “Peter!” she cried. Two more guards advanced on her, blocking her way, but she made quick work of them by knocking them out. She turned to see more coming her way, with Lady Aelsa and Lord Araki stood by the fireplace together, arms folded across their chests. “What is this?!”
“You’ve embarrassed and disrespected us in our own house,” Lady Aelsa growled. “You came here with intentions to seduce us for your own purposes, haven’t you?”
“Be reasonable, lady, you’re the one tryin’ to sell guns to a frickin’ militia!” Rocket exclaimed, the remaining Guardians moving to stand with Gamora, crowding near an unconscious Peter.
“Get them out of here,” Lord Araki ordered. The guards didn’t have to be told twice, sprinting across the room to attack, while the guests screamed in terror as they fled the building. Drax and Rocket immediately sprung into action by Gamora’s side, while Mantis tried her best to grapple their heads and calm them down - her combat training with Gamora still needed some work - and Groot half-heartedly wrapped a few of them up in branches, flinging them around like ragdolls.
“Listen to us, Lady Aelsa, Lord Araki!” Gamora shouted over the sounds of battle, rendering another handful of guards unconscious in quick succession. She had no desire to hurt them any worse unless she absolutely had to. “Let us explain ourselves, and maybe we can leave here in good faith.”
“Good faith? You’ve come to manipulate us,” Lady Aelsa said accusingly, pointing a long purple fingernail in Gamora’s direction. “We’re done listening to you, Guardians.”
“Hold them off, I need to move Peter somewhere safe,” Gamora told Drax, who nodded sharply, roaring loudly as he tore through the crowd of oncoming guards. She slid underneath a guard’s legs and practically crawled the rest of her way across the floor to Peter, lifting his head into her lap to briefly check him for bleeding or bumps. When she was certain he was just unconscious, she hefted him into her arms and ran to the furthest corner of the room, setting him down carefully. “Peter?” she said softly, pushing his hair out his eyes. “We need that silver tongue of yours, so if you could just wake up…” He mumbled incoherently under his breath, his head lolling to one side.
Sighing, Gamora got to her feet and turned back towards the battle. It seemed that the Protar siblings were running out of guards, though their fury was still written all over their faces. She jogged back in their direction, neatly weaving through the fight, bursting through the crowd right in front of their faces. Both leapt back with a surprised gasp. “What do you think you’re doing?” Lady Aelsa exclaimed.
Gamora drew her sword, holding its tip right beneath their chins. “I implore you to listen to me before anyone else gets hurt,” she snarled. “You’ve scared your guests, you’ve put unnecessary stress on my team, and you’ve injured my boyfriend. This pointless fight, this childishness, it ends now.” She tilted the sword, grazing the underside of Lord Araki’s jawline. “Call them off. Call them off, or I make you bleed.”
He swallowed. “Guards, fall back,” he called hoarsely. Gamora could vaguely hear the sounds of heavy footfalls and the clattering of weapons falling to the floor behind her, but she didn’t dare take her eyes off the siblings. “We’re listening.”
“Good.” Gamora swiftly sheathed her sword again, straightening up. “After all, we came here to prevent war, not start one.”
“What do you mean?” Lady Aelsa said nervously.
“We know of your friendship with the Baluurian senator, Lady Aelsa, and we came here to stop you from selling weapons to them,” Gamora said. “Their militia intends to invade unstable planets and seek out personnel for their drug trafficking rings, people so desperate for money that they’ll do anything to make it. You both said you wanted your people to make an honest living, to do honest work and live honest lives. If those weapons end up with the Baluurians, there will be more people out there who won’t get that choice.”
Aelsa and Araki exchanged considering glances, their shoulders slumping a little, hands unfurling from their sides. “Why didn’t you tell us in the first place?” Lord Araki asked. “We just wanted the mines, but if we had known about their cruelty, I would have never gotten into bed with the Baluurians in the first place.”
Gamora sighed. “In all honesty, the Nova Corps suggested we convince you through…other means. I suppose as the Guardians of the Galaxy, we’re known for our personal touch. I agree, we should have just been direct with you. It would have saved us from doing all of…this.” She gestured fruitlessly around her.
“Especially since you ended up tricking out your boyfriend!” Lady Aelsa exclaimed, scandalized. “We would never - I mean, if we knew about your - ”
“There are plenty of reasons we keep our relationship private,” Gamora said firmly. “What’s mine is mine. And I protect what’s mine. So I hope we’ve reached an understanding, Lady Aelsa, Lord Araki. But if you ever lay a hand on Peter again, I’ll raise my sword first, ask questions later.” Her brow quirked. “Do you get my meaning?”
Lady Aelsa gulped. “Yes, of course. So what do you recommend we do with the weapons?”______
Peter stirred to find his vision was obscured by a familiar head of dark hair. Grinning sleepily, he reached over to affectionately pat her head. “G’morning, Gamora, how - wait. I don’t remember going to bed.”
“That’s because you didn’t.” Gamora rolled over to look at him, smiling fondly. “One of Lady Aelsa’s guards knocked you out because she discovered the truth.”
“Oh, crap,” Peter groaned, throwing his forearm across his eyes. “What happened after that?”
“The usual. Everything delved into absolute chaos, and I had to fix it,” Gamora remarked dryly, running her fingers through his hair. “You feel alright? No concussion or dizziness?”
“Little sore, but I’m alright.” He rubbed his eyes and sank into his pillow. “Everyone else okay? And did we get the job done? Or are we out twenty-five thousand units?”
“Are you doubting me, Peter Quill?” Gamora teased, lowering herself on top of Peter, pressing him into the mattress. “The others are fine. And I convinced Lady Aelsa and Lord Araki to give us the weapons. In exchange, I don’t report their missing finances to the Nova Corps.”
Peter blinked. “Wait, when did we learn about that?”
“We didn’t, I did,” Gamora insisted. “While you were flirting with Araki, I asked around. It turns out, the dinner guests were such big fans of the Guardians, I barely had to say a word to get them to talk. Helps that you spent ten minutes making eyes at him.”
“Aw, it’s okay, Gamora. You know I only got eyes for you,” Peter grinned cheekily. Gamora groaned.
“I was barely paying attention, don’t stroke your own ego more than you have to,” she scolded.
“That’s not what I heard,” Peter sing-songed. “I saw your face near the end there, you were totally jealous.”
“Of what? Of you paying attention to someone else for a brief moment in time?” Her voice lowered, growing huskier in a way that made Peter’s entire body stir with arousal. “I’m the one who gets to share your bed, who gets to touch you, who gets to call you mine.” She tugged at the collar of his T-shirt, revealing a bruise she’d left on him just last night. She ducked her head to kiss the mark, her teeth just barely scraping against his skin. He shivered. “What do I have to be jealous of?”
“You’re right,” Peter said, his eyes darkening with pure want. His arms went around her waist, pulling her body flush against his. “You don’t got nothing to be jealous of, ‘cos you were so badass today, I’ve got a reward for you that I think you’ll like.”

My Ideal MCU Fantastic Four Fancast
Tumblr media
After finding out that Disney and Fox reached a deal in which the rights of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are reverted back to Marvel(Thank god), I figured that I might as well make a fancast for the Fantastic Four. These are personally my choices so please don’t judge me.
The Heroes
Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic: Daniel Henney
Tumblr media
The smartest man on Earth who has the ability to stretch, twist and re-shape his body to inhuman proportions, Reed is the leader of the Fantastic Four, developing a ship that could travel deep within time and space, allowing him and the team to travel through different planets, time periods and universes. Ever since the accident that gave him and his team powers, Reed has often been filled with guilt, blaming himself for the accident and Ben’s condition. Still, with the love and support from his family and friends, Reed would learn to overcome his problems, allowing him to become a capable leader and accomplished superhero. I chose Daniel for a couple of reasons(And yes cause he’s handsome.) I know the the MCU is seriously lacking in Asian characters, particularly males, so I figured why not racebend. Before anyone says anything, I just want to say that yeah, I cast an Asian actor to play the smart one out of team but there’s a lot more to Reed than his intelligence and it’s his strong, unconditional love for his teammates. After seeing him in movies like Shanghai Calling and voicing Tadashi from Big Hero 6, I could totally see him play the brilliant scientist.
Susan Storm/Invisible Woman: Natalie Dormer
Tumblr media
Wife of Reed, a biochemist and CEO of the Future Foundation, Sue has the ability to bend and manipulate light to render herself and others invisible as well as generating near-indestructible invisible force fields around herself or other targets, making her the most powerful member on the team. Natalie Dormer was an interesting pick, though I envisioned Susan as someone who is not only a caring, loving wife and sister but also someone who does not tolerate any bullshit and is not afraid to get a little tough on others if it’s necessary. Natalie has quite the look and I could imagine her trying to make sure that Reed keeps his feet on the ground. Plus, she and Daniel would make a nice couple with good chemistry(Hopefully).
Johnny Storm/The Human Torch: Hunter Parrish
Tumblr media
Johnny has the ability to control fire, allowing him to project fire from his body, as well as the power to fly. Due to being the youngest member of the team, Johnny is the most adventurous, always eager to explore new worlds and creating trouble on the way. I think Hunter would be the perfect choice to play the more brash Johnny after seeing him in 17 Again.
Ben Grimm/The Thing: Robert Kazinsky
Tumblr media
A life-long friend of Reed since college and has been transformed into a monstrous, orange, rock-like humanoid possessing high levels of superhuman strength and durability. Ever since the accident, Ben has often been filled with anger, self-loathing and self-pity over his new appearance. Unlike the others, he is unable to revert back to a normal appearance. This has brought a strain to his and Reed’s friendship and was desperate in wanting to be normal again. He even relied on the help of Victor Von Doom, Reed’s archnemesis in curing him. Eventually, with a change of heart, Ben would soon reconcile with Reed and the rest of the team as well as gaining some more confidence in his appearance, with the help from his soon-to-be girlfriend, Alicia. With Robert, I think that as long as he can pull off an American accent, he would do great as Ben, bringing him a sense of dry-humor as well as butting heads with Johnny.
The Villains
Harvey Elder/The Mole Man: Josh Gad
Tumblr media
A scientist that aspires to become the next Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Hank Pym and even Reed Richards but was shunned not only for his ugliness but also his belief of a “Hollow” Earth. He would soon discover  Subterranea, an underground realm and would rule over the moloids and conquer Ancient monsters. He then seeks revenge on the surface world. I know Josh Gad was a odd choice but when it comes to casting, the MCU has a thing for casting actors you’d least expect to appear in a movie, like Sylvester Stallone in GOTG Vol 2 and Cate Blanchett in Thor Ragnarok, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Josh somehow finds his way into the MCU. I also feel that it might be refreshing to see him in a different light as a villain as opposed to playing the comic relief.
Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Tumblr media
Doctor Doom, also known as Victor Von Doom is the monarch and dictator of Latveria. Highly intelligent, he is an equal to Reed, which angers him. He also use to attend the same college as Reed and Ben till an accident occurs, leaving him with a scar on his face and causing him to be expelled. He would then travel to Kamar-Taj, where he gained some knowledge of sorcery and magic. With that, he would soon use it as an advantage of invading his home country, Latveria and would rule over Latveria in a dictatorship. He would swore revenged on the one person that was responsible for most of his problems: Reed Richards. Doom does not admire the idea of him and Reed being equals and claims to be far more superior and better than him. In all honesty, it would been better if I cast a Eastern-European actor to play Doom, but there was something about Nikolaj that made me choose him. I could see him and Daniel play rivals. Doom is a villain that I consider to be tragic, similar to Loki and Magneto and could imagine appearing in multiple movies, becoming a more interesting and menacing villain along the way.
Note: I am aware of Victor being of Romani descent in the comics and I apologize for whitewashing. I do love Nikolaj, but I do also hope for an actor of Romani decent play Doom.
Kang the Conqueror:Arnold Vosloo
Tumblr media
A time traveling conqueror with vast powers and technological supremacy from the 31st Century, he travels back to Egypt c. 2950 B.C. and became known as the Pharaoh Rama-Tut. If you seen The Mummy, you’ll know why I chose him. Kang the Conqueror is quite an interesting villain in which I could imagine like Doom, is also a villain that could crossover in other films with other superheroes like the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Impossible Man: Lin Manuel Miranda
Tumblr media
A prankster and hedonist, the Impossible Man claimed to belong to the alien race of Poppupians from planet Poppup in the "Tenth Galaxy", who all share a collective consciousness and the ability to shapeshift, as their planet is so dangerous they have the ability to evolve very quickly.  I could imagine Lin portray this charcter with a sense of quirkiness and mischief to him.
Annihilus: Jason Flemymg
Tumblr media
Annihilus, a native of the planet Arthos, is the ruler of the Negative Zone and a  nihilist who is obsessed with constantly finding different ways to extend his lifespan and destroying all that which he sees as a threat to his existence. He’s the owner of something known as the “cosmic control rod”. After watching him in X-Men: First Class and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, with a little help from prosthetics, CGI and even motion capture, Jason can somehow pull off playing the alien ruler of the Negative Zone.
Blastaar: Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson
Tumblr media
A member of an alien race known as the Baluurians, of the planet Baluur in the Negative Zone . He ruled the Baluurians as their monarch ruthlessly until his subjects rebelled and rose against him. Blastaar was deposed as monarch, and became a Negative Zone outlaw. Blastaar was locked up in a special containment suit and set adrift in outer space in the Negative Zone. He would soon encounter the Fantastic Four during their travels in the Negative Zone. Having the right built and body, Hafþór would fit perfectly for this role.
Lucia Von Bardas: Hiba Abouk
Tumblr media
She is the servant and advisor of Doctor Doom who poses as a diplomat at the Latverian Embassy in the U.S. who is also secretly a cyborg created by Doom. I can imagine her play the villainess and going up against the Invisible Woman.
Esteban Corazón de Ablo/Diablo: Pedro Pascal
Tumblr media
A 9th Century alchemist known as Esteban Corazón de Ablo, Diablo is someone who desires of world dominance. He is also able to produce any number of amazing potions that defy scientific analysis. Based on his portrayal as Oberyn Martell, I think Pedro can pull off as a evil alchemist. I originally thought of Javier Bardem but felt that Pedro has a better resemblance to Diablo.
Bentley Wittman/The Wizard: Jemaine Clement
Tumblr media
Was one a child-prodigy and chess-champion, The Wizard is a well known innovator and inventor who decides to pursue a life of villany and target some of the best well-known superheroes, particularly the Human Torch. I think Jemaine can pull of the cunning and mischief inventor. I personally see him as a minor villain, similar to Crossbones.
Owen Reece/Molecule Man: Matt Smith
Tumblr media
Owen Reece was a weak, shy man by nature. He was a momma's boy, both fearful and resentful of the world. Then, one day, he was transformed into the Molecule Man by a lab accident. While working at an atomic power plant Owen mistakenly activated an experiment device that opened a portal to another dimension. This portal caused him to be exposed to a powerful explosion of a strange energy. The explosion horribly disfigured his face with scars in the shape of lightning bolts, but it also granted him immense power, which he used to take out his pent-up frustrations on the world. I’d loved Matt as the Eleventh doctor in Doctor Who and seeing him in a different light in the mcu would be really interesting.
Kl'rt/Super-Skrull: Joe Taslim
Tumblr media
A warrior that was given the combined powers of the fantastic four, Kl’rt became known as the Super Skrull who was used as a special weapon and sent to Earth to pave way for the Skrull-Empire Invasion. Joe was an odd pick cause I could’ve pick someone with a little more muscle like Manu Bennet and Vinnie Jones(Which were some of my alternates.) but I figured that with his martial-arts background, Joe would fit perfectly for the warrior. (If anything goes wrong, he could always play Namor, lol)
Lyja: Sofia Boutella
Tumblr media
A Skrull who was sent to Earth to infiltrate and destroy the Fantastic Four, by seducing the youngest member of the team, Johnny a.k.a The Human Torch. Seeing Sofia in movies like Kingsman and Star Trek Beyond, she could easily play the skillfully badass Skrull warrior.
The Beyonder: Oded Fehr
Tumblr media
The Beyonder is an immensely powerful extradimensional entity of disputed origin. Virtually omnipotent in his realm, the Beyonder has striven on occasion to be mankind's both greatest savior and enemy in his quests to understand human nature. I picked Oded based on the Beyonder’s appearance in the 1994 Spiderman cartoon but either way, I could see him give a melodramatic performance as the Beyonder.
Galactus: Either Peter Cullen or James Earl Jones
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also known as the “Destroyer of Worlds”, Galactus is a sentient being that is beyond good and evil as he merely feeds on the energy of planets to survive. I was torn between choosing the man who voiced Optimus Prime and Darth Vader, though either way, both actors have a voice that could give the character a menacing feel to him.
Secondary Characters
Alicia Masters: Genesis Rodriguez
Tumblr media
The love-interest of Ben and friend and neighbor of the Fantastic Four. A blind sculptor, she is what gives Ben the confidence in his appearance. Alicia has a big heart, who always tries to find the goodness in anyone, which is what she did in trying to convince the Silver Surfer to disobey Galactus. Even when blind, it does not stop her in trying to help others, especially the Fantastic Four. I think Genesis has that sweet smile and voice that matches the caring Alicia and that she and Robert would make a nice couple.
HERBIE: Voiced by either Alan Tudyk or Matthew Gray Gubler
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A small, robotic assistant designed by Reed Richards, think of his role similar to J.A.R.V.I.S and F.R.I.D.A.Y. I was stuck between Alan and Matthew and I figured that either actor would be perfect for the role as they both have done some voice-work in several films before.
Wyatt Wingfoot: Martin Sensmeier
Tumblr media
A close friend of Johnny whom despite not having any powers has saved the team on several occasions and shared many adventures with them. I can imagine Martin being friends with Hunter’s Johnny.
Alyssa Moy: Yaya DaCosta
Tumblr media
Alyssa is a close friend and ex-lover of Reed who is also equally smart as him. Even as the two are no longer together, they still remain on good terms, even helping out the Fantastic Four.  About the race change, I feel like the MCU is still lacking in women of color and especially those that are brilliantly smart and into the science field(Like Jane Foster and Helen Cho), so I figured why not and Yaya is a great actress that could seemingly play the equally smart ex of Reed.
Thundra: Ronda Rousey
Tumblr media
From an alternate reality, Thundra is the mightiest warrior from the United Sisterhood Republic, a country populated and ruled by the Femizons, a matriarchal society of Amazon-like women warriors. Thundra's reality is the alternate reality of the 23rd century Earth-715 in which, she is the strongest person of her world. I can see the Fantastic Four encounter her while traveling through time and though she comes off as antagonistic at first, becomes a good ally to the team. I think Rousey is able to portray this fierce and bold warrior.
Norrin Radd/Silver Surfer: Jacob Anderson
Tumblr media
Norrin Radd of Zenn-La is the mighty herald of Galactus, the devourer of worlds. Gifted with the Power Cosmic and a trusty board which he can summon and return to him faster than light speed. He would be known as the Silver Surfer. To be honest, finding an actor to play the Silver Surfer was quite difficult, though I figured Jacob could play him. After watching a couple of episodes of Game of Thrones, I could imagine him give the character some emotional depth.
Frankie Raye/Nova: Riley Keough
Tumblr media
Frankie Raye worked for the United Nations as an interpreter. She met Johnny Storm. and became his girlfriend, despite her fear of fire. She would soon develop powers after an accident cause by her step-father, which causes her to become Nova. Technically I thought of having her as Nova instead of Richard Rider because why not, and thought that Riley could pull off playing a badass superheroine, not to mention that she would be perfect for my Human Torch pick.
Uatu the Watcher:  Irrfan Khan
Tumblr media
Uatu the Watcher is an incredibly powerful being that has sworn never to interfere with the happenings of the Universe, only to watch, yet he has broken this oath several times. Yes, I know about the whole “What if Stan Lee is the Watcher” though I still figured that someone should still play him. I figured that the character would be motion-captured like Galactus. I chose Irrfan since I figured his voice would suit the character perfectly.
So that’s about it, I’m sorry if the list is too long as well as the descriptions, but I figured that I might as well share what my interpretation of the MCU’s Fantastic Four would be like. These are personally my picks for the characters and it’s okay if you don’t agree with some of them, just please don’t send in any hate or what not. Hopefully you guys enjoy.

You Really Got Me
Paring: Kraglin Obfonteri/Reader
Tags: female reader, set after Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 2, minor Gamora/Peter Quill, eventual fluff, secret relationship, matchmaking, Groot is adorable.
Summary: The thing about keeping a relationship on the down-low is that few to no people know about it. For the Guardians of The Galaxy, not having the both of you together is almost a crime against nature. Also, Rocket wants nothing of this. Leave him out of it.
Word Count: 2,668
Current Date: 2017-12-17
Tumblr media
The Guardians of the Galaxy were no strangers to trouble, trouble on alien planets; trouble in general. But on the Outer Rim of known space, stranded on a semi-hostile planet while shady hired dealers were working on refuelling the Milano, you were saddled with the long watch-shift to keep everyone safe on the shift. While Mantis was grabbing sleep, Groot practicing his vocabulary, Gamora cleaning her guns and Drax working out, you and Kraglin were sitting with your weapons, keeping an eye and ear out.
“Do we really need to keep watch?” You had asked Peter, dubious. It wasn’t as hostile a planet where the people would shoot on sight, yet, the captain of the ship was set on it, and set with saddling the job on his adopted brother Kraglin, too. “I mean, one person, sure, but two? It’s overkill.”
Kraglin had agreed with you, but Peter was adamant. “Trust me on this, _________.”
So, you two were left out, sitting with your sword, and Kraglin with his blaster. It was a nice night, and you could see the constellations like what you’ve come to recognise living away from Earth. The twin moons in the horizon are rising over the mountain range, and bathing you and your broadsword in ample moonlight. The forest around the both of you is silent, empty except for its fauna, creatures darting to the places where they would rest their heads for the night, the odd birdcall made before they settled.
“So, Kraglin…” you start, moving your sword in the dirt, looking to your companion, and fellow Guardian of the Galaxy. The moonlight kissed his face sweetly, bathing his features with the silvery light, those green eyes ablaze with potential, “You never said how you became a Ravager.”
He’s silent for a second. The blaster in his hands is held tight, and with a deep breath expelled, the gun is lowered to his side. Kraglin looks you in the eyes, and released another sigh. Two sighs. No wonder he hadn’t told the story like you told your many little stories, this seemed to be a little heavier in its emotional baggage.
“You wouldn’t believe it if I told you…” he says, giving you a little smirk. But you saw straight through it – it was as much as a front as Peter’s need for music to cover the losses in his life. “I was just a kid from Xandar, ten. Xandar wasn’t as nice as it was back then, and there was a raid on my parent’s ship when we got back from a special trip on some planet.” He looks to the ground, where his boots scuff the dirt, digging it to cover the caps of his toes. “It was a Kree ship, and we were shot down. Nova Corps did all they could, but covered it. Said we was dead.”
You frown, not sure if you heard that right. “Wait, we’re talking about same Nova Corps, with Nova Prime, and –,” you stop yourself, raising your brows. “How did you survive?”
Kraglin smiles. “Ravager ship was just leaving the atmosphere. Yondu’s. Saved my life.”
You smile, remembering the late Ravager, and his odd acts of kindness he made over the years. “And you just stayed with him from then on?” you ask, “I mean, you know me, the galivanting rouge, never to stay too long in one place.” You add.
“Yeah, you’re nothing like that.” Kraglin laughs, and clicking his blaster to standby on his side, gives your shoulder a playful whack, and one of his bright smiles. “Had nowhere else to go, _________. Yondu was like a father to me, Peter too. Ravager’s became a family for me.”
It’s silent for a moment between you, and then, you blurt out, “I wasn’t a pilot before this all, not back on Earth.” You say, unable to face the look in Kraglin’s eyes at the admittance. “My dad was a part of the military, and my Mom an astronaut…” Sensing his confusion at the word, you add, “Um, it meant she went to space for a living. Nobody knew she was pregnant, and she had me in space.”
He frowns. “But Terrans don’t have good space stations.” He states.
You nod. “That’s the understatement of the year, right there,” you laugh it off, but it really cuts deep. “My birth father is a man named General Ross. But…I’m just the defect of an affair gone wrong, I’m sure I have half-sisters or something back on Earth.” You shake your head, unable to picture what family you could have.
Kraglin turns toward you. “You didn’t say what happened to your Ma.”
“She was an American astronaut. They’re prized back on Earth, endless media coverage, fame, science journals to boot. You should hear about how much they like Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin…” you remember the names, how your mother would tell you about them before tucking you in at night. “She gave birth to me in space, and when she came back to Earth, they faked her return. Said she was dead, obliterated her name, put the whole scandal to sleep before it was leaked.”
He's silent.
You add, “I was fifteen when I stole a government prototype space jet, and I ran away.” You chuckle. “It was more of a suicide attempt than anything, I was shocked as hell when I met actual aliens.”
The forest is still silent, not a peep from the outside world. Kraglin glances, and puts a hand on yours, his skin cold to touch, yet, the gesture was warm. “You never said…”
You sniffle, only then realising you’d been crying. It wasn’t a good story. It was a terrible, terrible story that only told of your origins, and how you came to be the woman you were today. “I was an alien to them…to my own father. A freak.”
Kraglin smiles, those crooked teeth overshadowed by the endearing gesture. “Looks like you’re in the right place to be with your own kind, then, _________.”
You laugh it off, whispering pssh to him, changing the topic to something else.
Inside the ship, Peter turns to Gamora with a goofy grin upon his face. But the Zen-Whoberis native has nothing of it, and ignoring his antics, leaves him for a stiff drink until it’s her time for the unnecessary watch shift.
---
You should have noticed it by now, but it was coming on the eighth time that Gamora had tripped you up, and had you land on Kraglin. All on different occasions, all in different contexts, apparently – she claimed to have not seen you, to not have noticed he was there, that your bones should have been strong enough from all the hits you’d taken already to get over it. But you stomached the acts. But it was the eighth time that Gamora did the deed that made you question if she wasn’t a master warrior herself, but clumsy.
It was after a deed for a Baluurian fleet when you were sitting in your hammock in the brig of the Milano, and tired after the hard day of work fending off bad guys and the works, you just wanted to read a shitty alien romance novel and ignore the world. But when you saw Gamora approaching, you put the paperback down, and extend your sword toward her.
She raises her eyebrows. “_________? Don’t say this is a mutiny.”
You huff. “I know what you’re up to! You’re trying to humiliate me for some kind of bet. Have me fall all over poor Kraglin, make us look stupid.” You hold your sword steady, and coming out from your hammock, you stand, facing your green-skinned teammate. “I’m having none of it.”
From where he sits to the side, playing in a heap of dirt he took from the last planet you all landed on, Groot agrees, “I am Groot.”
Rocket tosses a bolt near your head. “Keep it down, will you? I’m trying to make a bomb here.”
You roll your eyes, but do not back down. “Cut it out, or I’ll cut you.”
Gamora crosses her arms, her stance revealing her intentions; unyielding, firm. “Strong words from a strong woman, _________. You will not like what is to come.”
You can see over her shoulder, and entering the brig, Kraglin has something that looks like a mango in his mouth, the juices running down his arm as he bites into the auburn flesh of the fruit. But you also see – almost too late, and in comical slow-motion – Drax bounding up behind the ex-Ravager. In a matter of seconds, Gamora has moved the side, and thrust toward you with a mighty shove from Drax, Kraglin is atop you, his fruit over your shirt, your skin, your everything.
“Guys,” Rocket complains, “Bomb! I need my focus!”
Groot hums. “I am Groot.”
Rocket throws another bolt. “Nobody cares, buddy!”
But you care that Gamora has succeeded in making the eighth trip effective, and you’re fuming. “Holy hell, Gamora!” you groan, rolling Kraglin from on top of you, the juices of the fruit smeared all over you. “And Drax, why?”
Gamora passes him a handful of credits.
---
You were on your way to your bunks after a hard shift in the cockpit – hard not because of the flying, no, piloting vessels was kind of your thing (besides sarcastic one-liners and the way you made being awkwardly weird cool), just not putting up with the squabbles with the other Guardians. At least Mantis wasn’t in on the whole argument, as she sat beside you and with a hand on your bare arm, told you all the meanings of your dreams the night prior. But now, you  were desperate to get some shut-eye, and if you could sneak in some time at the communal shower to strip away the day before then, it would be an added bonus.
But there was a Drax-shaped wall between you and the bunks. No, scratch that. It was just Drax.
“Hey there,” you smile at the muscle of team. “What’s up?”
He frowns at the words you chose. “We are currently flying in space, _________. Nothing is up or down without gravity.”
You nod, remembering that Drax wasn’t the greatest at phrases. “No, I mean…ah, how are you?”
He smiles, it’s small, but nonetheless, there is no scowl, no war-like grimace, no deathly resting face, and you take the smile as a good sign he isn’t up to any funny business. “I am fine, thank you. How are you?”
“I’m tired,” you gesture to the bunks behind him, “I was going to sleep off the day.”
He frowns. “You cannot sleep off a day, time is not a contractible illness that fades after rest is acquired.” He pauses, and glancing down the hallway both ways, hands you a crumpled slip of paper. “I am needed elsewhere, you can sleep now.”
As he walks away toward the cockpit, you unfold the gift from Drax. It’s very poorly written, with many grammatical mistakes, but nonetheless, you discern the general meaning from what he has just handed you. You push into the bunk, where you see Kraglin sitting on his bed. He’s pulling a comb over his tuft of hair, toothbrush in mouth, and when you flop onto your bunk, he gives you a strange look.
Spitting into his glass of water, he asks, “Why the long face, _________?”
You scrunch the note in your hand, and toss it to him. “Read it.”
He undoes the paper, and narrowing his eyes, does his best. “Yuor – you got a need to put your face on –,” he raises his eyebrows at it, and scrunches it up, tosses it back to you, “Who gave that to you?”
“Drax.”
“Makes sense.” Kraglin nods, and placing the glass beside his bed, he adds, “I mean, it’s weird, and sounds like something that he’d say. Not that any of this makes sense.”
You nod, “First Peter has us doing menial tasks together.”
Kraglin agrees, “and Gamora makes us fall over on each other!”
“And this shitty note!” You toss it toward the waste paper basket beside your makeshift bookshelf, the paper missing, hitting the rim, falling onto the floor pitifully. “I think we should tell them.”
Kraglin shakes his head, unsure. “I don’t know, _________…last time I told Peter I had a girlfriend, he took her out, and slept with her. Turned out she was a traitor to the Ravagers, but still. He could take you!”
You pssh at those words, laughing, “Take me? Jeez, that sounds like I’m an object!” you stand, and go to where the paper rebounded the bin. “No. I’m in love with you, Krag, and have been for what, three years now? I’m sick of hiding it from the team. I’m sick of being a part of their pranks to make us do something about it.” you toss the paper in the bin, fixing the problem. “Are you with me, or not, Kraglin Obfonteri?”
He nods. “Always, darling.”
---
The next day, you approach the cockpit with Kraglin at your side. Everyone’s there – Drax is staring off into space, Gamora interested in the readings on the schematics on the screen before her. Rocket mans a control, as does Peter. Mantis is reading your shitty alien novel, and Groot sits beside her, playing with a toy yoyo you found a month ago, and has the string wrapped around his arms in a way that can’t be comfortable.
You cough, alerting them of your presence.
“_________! Hey!” Peter greets, waving. “What’s up, Kraglin?”
Drax mishears. We are currently flying in space, Peter, nothing is up or down without gravity.”
Peter ignores that, and says something to Gamora you quite can’t catch. Rocket wipes a hand over his face, groaning very loudly. “Will you guys just quit it! Who cares if you think they’re cute together, I think you all look alike, and I think we’re all going to die alone one day!” He growls. “Love is dead!”
Groot whacks him from where he’s seated with the yoyo. “I AM GROOT!”
Mantis speaks up. “Are you talking about _________ and Kraglin?” she asks politely.
Peter nods. “Yeah! Don’t you think –,”
She adds, “They’ve been in love for over one thousand and ninety-four days, and when you are not around, push the beds they sleep in together and kiss in secret.” She says, her antennae bouncing as she talked.
“What?” Gamora gapes.
Peter blinks.
Drax says nothing, playing with the holo-graphics on his seat.
Mantis realises something is off, and says, “You didn’t know?”
You and Kraglin glance between you, and deciding to see what happened after this revelation of the team, watch it out. “We were just coming to say all this,” you say, breaking the silence. “I mean, it’s just a relationship, it’s not like it affects anyone beyond us.”
“You’re with _________?” Peter asks, saying the same fact again as if to want to hear it confirmed from your own lips, even though it had already had been.
Kraglin nods. “Yeah, for nearly three years.” You link hands with one another. “And we’re here to ask everyone to stop punking us. We’re sick of doing bad shifts, and falling on one another.”
You look to Drax. “And if you want, I’ll gladly teach you basic writing skills, big guy.”
“Writing is speaking’s sorry, weak cousin,” Drax tells you, “I only resorted to it for desperate measures.”
Groot comes to you, and carefully, you unwind the yoyo from his arm. “I am Groot.” He thanks you, adds, “I am Groot!”
You look to the team, “Okay, that was enough social interaction for one day. I’m going to take my boyfriend with me, and we’re going to cuddle, and then I’m going to kiss him in a public space.” You lift your hand that’s holding his, and grin. “Permission to take the day off, Star-Lord?”
He gives you both a thumb up. “Do more than cuddle!”

"I'm not jealous" with Rocket
You and Rocket were out at a bar after a particularly hard job. You weren't sure which planet you were on and you didn't really care. You had taken some hits to your side and you had to admit it had taken a lot out of you. When you touched down Rocket had immediately suggested hitting up a bar. You weren't one to say no to a drink especially not when it came to getting one with Rocket. You had developed quite a few feelings for the loud mouthed thief so you never turned down a chance to be alone with him. You were sitting at the bar and Rocket was off doing something. You weren't sure what he hadn't said but you were assuming he was betting on something. You had just finished your drink when the bartender sat one down in front of you. You raised an eyebrow looking at the drink. "I didn't order this. I think there's a mistake." You told the bartender. "No that guy down there bought it for you." He explained gesturing to a tall Baluurian man. The man gave you a sweet smile and you blushed a little. You looked down at the drink with a small frown however. It was some sort of green drink and you could tell it was probably sickeningly sweet. But hey free alcohol was free alcohol. You took a sip and it immediately confirmed your suspicion. Rocket was no where in sight as the man made his way over to you. He sat down next to you flashing that sweet smile again. You returned it your eyes roaming over him. He was tall and muscular and he strongly resembled a Terran. "Thank you for the drink." You took another sip fighting the wince you wanted to give at the amount of sugar in it. "No problem. Pretty little thing like you. I couldn't help myself. You here by yourself?" He flirted a smirk on his lips as he checked you out. "No. I'm here with one of my crew mates. Winding down from a job." You explained downing the drink just to get it over with. "Oh? I don't see them anywhere. Why don't you let me take you out? We can go dancing or something." He grinned. "I'm right here. And there's no way (Y/N) would go out with you. Yer barking up the wrong tree." You heard a gruff voice behind you. Turning a little to see Rocket you saw him snarling at the man. You gave Rocket a small smile as he climbed onto a bar stool to be eye to eye with the guy. The man cocked an eyebrow sizing up Rocket. "And why is that little man?" He mocked Rocket. "Because you're not (y/n)'s type. (Y/N) doesn't date losers." Rocket growled clenching his fists. You shook your head knowing this was headed into a fight. You couldn't understand why Rocket was doing this. You stood up from the stool you were sitting on. You pushed through the crowd and the two guys going out the door. Rocket was behind you in a second catching up outside of the bar. "What the hell were you lettin him do that for?" Rocket snarled at you huffing as he did. "Rocket come on he bought me a drink." You responded. "Why do you need him to do that? I thought you were out with me? I could get you drinks!" He was almost shouting at you. You stopped where you were and he stopped beside you. Your mind was racing. There was no way. You grinned as things clicked. "You're jealous." You accused. "I'm not jealous!" He shouted crossing his arms. "Oh okay then. I guess I'll just go back in there and see if that guys still around." You smirked turning around and starting to walk back to the bar. "No! Yer coming back to the ship with me." He was firm and you felt a chill go up your back. "Alright then. Mr Jealous." You teased.

The Fantastic Four - negativity trilogy
Book 1 : Warlords of Baluur
Chapter 4 : Into the Negative Zone
When asked for a shuttle to pilot through the gateway, because of the Baluurian vessels, Nick absolutely refused to loan them any more equipment. "You'd all be blown to bits before you even make it through the Distortion Area," he said. "There must be another way."
The Fantastic Four then had themselves teleported back to the Four Freedoms Plaza and attempt to fly the Pogo Plane through the gateway. This was a horrible idea on behalf of Johnny Storm.
Launching the patented Pogo Plane was noisy, frightening and played havoc with radar controllers at New York City's international airports. For these reasons, The FAA had prohibited the Fantastic Four (and the Avengers) from using their downtown headquarters as an airport. The Human Torch attempted calling the FAA to request permission for an emergency launch, and the FAA denied consent to ensure that no flights over New York would become endangered. If the Fantastic Four were to proceed with the launch against the warning of the FAA, the flight would cause considerable mayhem, and narrowly avoid a mid-air collision with a soon-to-depart passenger plane, and the FAA would be forced to levy heavy sanctions against the F4 franchise.
The safest method of entering the Negative Zone was using the F4 Negative Zone portal inside Four Freedoms Plaza. After a short scan with the Negative Zone viewer, Reed found the rock creature and the warhead. The strange being had the missile trapped in some sort of energy web. As Reed looked closer, he realized the creature was rolling and tumbling through space as if unable to control it's movements. Apparently it was being drawn towards the Distortion Area and the turbulence caused by the interdimensional gateway. If the missile should pass back into the Distortion Area while charged with positive matter energy…well, you know what that means.
When the F4 stepped onto the platform and began a rapid descent down the portal shaft, the metallic walls of the portal flashed past. Although it was 500 meters long, only one meter of each portal shaft existed in Earth dimension. The remaining 499 meters were into the Negative Zone.
The platform came to an abrupt, but smooth, stop. Below swirled the chaotic region known as the Distortion Area. Relying on their harnesses for thrust, they leapt from the platforms.
Gigantic swirls of color surrounded them. All sense of time and space was lost. The Distortion Area was confusing and uncomfortable, which was to be expected, for their very matter was being changed into antimatter. Thankfully, they passed beyond the Distortion Area and into the Negative Zone.
To either side of them, the Distortion Area stretched into the distance, a prismatic barrier of shifting colors and shapes. Ahead lied the zone of antimatter, the exploding atmosphere surrounding Negative Earth – nothing survives there. To their left they saw the rock creature tumbling toward the Distortion Area.
It was difficult to judge distances there. As best Reed could tell, the zone of antimatter was at least a mile in front of him, while the rock creature was less than half that distance to his left. It was not long before the rock creature would tumble into the Distortion Area while armed with a nuclear warhead.
The disturbance caused by the opening of the gateway was drawing the Negalisk into the Distortion Area, a region deadly to its species. Unable to control it's movement, the Negalisk was falling towards the Distortion Area at feeble airspeed.
As the F4 moved through the Negative Zone, the gateway wreaked obvious havoc on the environment. Strange rock and energy formations hurtled past, seemingly in random directions. Some of the objects even seemed alive. When the F4 moved into the domain of the Negalisk, a brilliant flash of light filled the air, nearly blinding them. Whenever a hero would.lass through proximity of a piece of floating debris, the debris revealed itself to be part of a living creature team sprouted tentacles TV group days wat them.
When the F4 confronted the Negalisk, it immediately attacked them, believing they were responsible for it's plight. As it fought, the Negalisk spoke in a garbled alien tongue, and accused the F4 of causing the turbulence that was leading it into the Distortion Area.
Using his patented Universal Translator, Reed understood the Negalisk. By explaining their plan to end the cosmic disturbance by closing the gateway with the missile, Reed coerced the Negalisk to surrender the weapon to them. The Things resemblance to the Negalisk appealed to it's nature, and the Negalisk cooperated.
Once surrendered, the nullifying field around the missile completely dissipated. The weapon's systems went back online, which was observed by Nick Fury aboard his satellite. He called the F4 on their communicators. "You've done it!" He cried. "Now get outta there! We're gonna detonate the missile by remote control. Call me the minute you're all safely back in the Earth dimension!"
Freed of the energy field, but having no more fuel, the warhead began to plummet back towards the zone of antimatter. The Fantastic Four could not touch it, for they were comprised of anti after. A nasty retreat to the portal was in order.
Because the conversion from antimatter to matter would kill the Negalisk, they could not take the creature through the portal. If they were to abandon the Negalisk, it would surely die in the matter-antimatter explosion caused by the warhead's detonation. So, The Thing simply hurled the Negalisk far out into the Negative Zone.

The Fantastic Four - Negativity Trilogy
Book 1: Warlords of Baluur
Chapter 3: The rocket's red glare
The Thing was chosen as the most obvious pilot for the force field covered rocket, to remote control detonate the missile. Susan Storm was exerting her mental ability to generate a forcefield to protect the entire rocket.
-
The Space station's metallic voice droned a steady beat. "Launch in 10 seconds…9 seconds…8 seconds…"
As the countdown neared zero, tension was thick in the control room of the SHIELD satellite.
"5 seconds…4 seconds…"
Reed and Ben's preparations were complete, and Susan's force field was up while Johnny was at the missile's controls.
"3 seconds…2 seconds…"
Had they forgotten anything?
"1 seconds…missiles away."
On the computer's monitors, they watch the warhead's flight from it's POV. It streaked toward the turbulent gateway, plunged into a realm of shifting colors and shapes. In a flash, it was among the awesome vessels of the Baluurian Armada. Their weapons turned swiftly, trying to track the speeding rocket. If the missile were to detonate then, it would've meant the death of two universes!
The missile streaked out of the Distortion Area and into the Negative Zone. On the monitors an asteroid was seen dead ahead. The large chunk of antimatter presented the perfect catalyst for the matter-antimatter explosion required to close the portal.
As the missile drew close to its target, The Thing was stunned by the image before him. The asteroid was not a lifeless rock, but an unfurling living being that looked exactly like Ben Grimm!
All watched in horror as the warhead bore down upon the creature, whose eyes widened as it spied its approaching doom. Suddenly, it clapped it's Stony hands, creating a shockwave of dark power and energy that engulfed the rocket. Visual contact was lost as all of the missile's systems shut down. As soon as the creature captures the warhead, Susan's force field failed and she fell unconscious.
"Look at the control panel!" Cried a technician. "The warhead is still armed, but all of its systems have locked up. It's like it's frozen in time!"
Stunned, Nick Fury said. "That was our only hope. We could never get another warhead in time. At any moment, the alien Armada could sweep down on earth. What are we to do?"
After much deliberation, Nick Fury finally ordered, "Someone's gonna have to go to The Negative Zone and get that warhead so we can detonate it. Although it's a suicide mission, it's our only chance to close that gateway. There are no other options."

The Fantastic Four - The Negativity Trilogy
Book 1 : Warlords of Baluur
Chapter 2: A crack in the sky
Immediately after Nick Fury signed off, the Fantastic Four's skin began to tingle and they blacked out for a moment. They regained consciousness only to find themselves standing amidst the blinking machinery of a teleporter. A huge window revealed a startling view of the familiar blue and white orb called Earth – they're in orbit.
Nick Fury looked up from his conversation with a S.H.I.E.L.D. technician and said, "Welcome aboard the S.H.U.E.LD. satellite, friends."
Nick escorted the Fantastic Four to the main control room. There, monitors depicted another shot of Earth, complete with a magnified view of an intereimension gate above the atmosphere. The most shocking feature of the gateway was it's humanoid shape, which made it appear almost alive. The gateway's shape seemed vaguely familiar to Reed Richards, but he couldn't remember why and blamed this on memory loss from a previous trip to the Negative Zone.
"Our sensors located the gateway a short while ago while it was only 50 yards in diameter. It is now 100 meters wide and still growing steadily. Our technicians and scientists are unable to determine when exactly the gateway opened. It may have been several days, or even weeks ago;
"Initially, when discovered, it remained at a constant size, but then began to grow at an increasing rate. In a matter of hours it will be large enough to consume Earth." Nick Fury explained. "I believe the gateway connects Earth dimension to the Negative Zone. In a few moments, I will launch a probe into the gateway to confirm my suspicions."
Standing behind a technician at a main control terminal, Fury said "initiate launch sequence for probe on my mark…MARK!"
A computerized voice echoed through the room, "launch in 10 seconds…9 seconds…8 seconds…"
Suddenly, a blaring alarm interrupted the countdown in an excited voice, a technician exclaimed, "unidentified object emerging from the gateway, Sir!"
Nick Fury cried out, "Stop the countdown! That thing is some kind of weapon! Rotate defensive laser turrets and lock on target! Prepare to fire!"
The object that emerged from the gateway appeared on the monitor as a small (1m in diameter) spherical device made of black metal. Numerous antenna protruded from it, surrounded by a large central eye.
Reed Richards realized that the antenna were similar to those used for perceptions and communication. Thus, the object was some kind of drone probe, rather than a weapon. By calling for him to wait, Reed stopped Fury before the object was obliterated.
Fury attempted to use the Space station's radio transmitter to hail the probe, but received no verbal response. However, the probe immediately changed direction and streaked directly towards the satellite. The probe the orbited the satellite three times before turning back towards the dimensional gateway.
Fury ordered a technician to capture the prove in the satellite's tractor beam before it could escape. The young man furiously turned knobs and pushed buttons, then cried out in a sweat, "it's moving too fast, I cant lock on!"
The Thing had enough experience with space craft operations to use the tractor beam, took over for the young technician at the terminal before the probe was out of range. The probe was captured and potentially useful information could be gained.
After The Thing opened the probe for Reed to study it's inner workings, Reed discovered the device's memory banks and that they were easily removable. The satellites computers could be used to playback what the probe had recorded. But, because the probe had been damaged by the tractor beam, only moments preceding the launch can be shown. The switch was flipped and one of the space stations monitors crackled to life. Filling the view was the unmistakable visage of Blastaar, the living bombburst! Baluurian scientists shambled around their impressive leader. He spoke, and the space station's computers translated the Baluuriananguage into English, "Let us hope 'Blastaar's Eye' reveals that which we seek. With it's power, all of Earth shall crumble in my explosive grasp!"
One of the Baluurians spoke up, "in a short time, my Lord Blastaar, the rip in skace will soon have grown large enough."
With a wicked smile, the self-styled ruler of the Negative Zone nodded, "good."
At that moment, the monitor filled with static. Apparently, the probe's memory banks were corrupted by the tractor beam and no more information could be gleaned from it.
Nick Fury then insisted on launching his own prove into the gateway to discover what waits on the other side. That time the countdown elapsed without delay.
Watching monitors, everyone saw events from the probe's POV. As they watched, it went through the gateway and into the distortion area, a region of swirling colors and shapes. Hovering near the portal – in the Distortion Area – was an entire Armada of Baluurian warships. Within a matter of seconds, one of the ships blasted the probe to smithereens. Static filler the monitors.
Fury was obviously shaken, "I've gotta get this information to the UN security council immediately. In the meantime, I need you to brief me on everything you know about thr negative zone and its inhabitants."
At this point, Reed Richards disclosed in great depth, as the very existence of The Negative Zone had been kept a close secret by The F4 and S.H.I.E.L.D. and was not common knowledge to most. After being over inundated with knowledge pertaining to the Negative Zone, Fury was interrupted by the delivery of the UN security council's executive decision. They asked him to make a first strike by launching the space station's only nuclear warhead through the gateway.
"A sufficiently large matter-antimatter explosion in the Negative Zone could close the gateway without endangering the Earth dimension." Fury explained.
"Yeah, but a nuclear bomb going off in the Distortion Area could be disastrous for both the Earth dimension as well as the Negative Zone, as well as countless other dimensions." Susan interjected.
"And that's a problem, since someone is going to have to use the remote control and fly that warhead through that Baluurian Armada without letting it get blown to bits! We've only got one missile and one life to live, friends! Let's make em good ones!" Fury stated.
"An object surrounded by a force field does not convert from matter to antimatter, and vice versa, when it passes through the Distortion Area." Susan posited to Reed.
"So then we use your force field to surround the missile, which will prevent it from converting from positive matter to negative antimatter as it flies through the Distortion Area. Once in the Negative Zone, it can be detonated, reading positive energy in the Negative Zone and the particles will trigger a tremendous explosion capable of closing the portal."
