Pairing: Ben Wyatt x Andy Dwyer

A/N: I’ve had this in my notes app for a hot minute, but life is too short to sleep on Bandy tbph! So I give you this Parks & Rec community 💚💙

"Alright. Okay. We're good." Ben stopped Andy from continuing his thought about him and Leslie's current relationship status.

Andy chuckled, motioning for Ben to scoot over and let him sit. He took another sip of Snake Juice and laid his arm along the upper trim of the half-booth, the fabric of his windbreaker brushing against Ben's neck.

Ben awkwardly adjusted himself, trying not to also brush up against Andy. He felt the familiar queasy heat caused by a mixture of intimate or even pseudo-intimate contact and alcohol brewing in his stomach. He caught April mouthing something to Andy from across the club and tried to find somewhere besides her, Leslie or the cameras to place his gaze.

"You okay, man?" Andy gripped onto the back of his neck and laughed again. "Uh, yeah. Just the Snake Juice. I thought Tom was joking about how strong it was. Exaggerating might be a better word." he swirled the caramel colored alcohol in his glass and took a swig "Anyway, I can feel it kicking in." He peered up at the lights as Andy's sweaty palm stayed pressed against the nape of his neck. "I didn't eat much before I came here. Just a tuna fish sandwich from the convenience store." He paused, feeling his stomach flip over "I'm sure I'll regret that later." He took another sip.

Andy tightened his grip and shook Ben's head a little. "You gotta eat cheeseburgers beforehand. Good to eat before. Good to eat after." Andy chuckled and looked into one of the cameras "And I'm not just talking about drinking!" he smirked and pointed at said camera. "Alright..." Ben rolled his eyes and polished off the glass. Andy continued to laugh as Ben stood up.

He suddenly felt his stomach drop to his knees as he tipped to the side slightly, enough to make him feel as if he was going to fall. He held his hand over his eyes, assuming covering them would stop the slight spinning in his head. All he could see was neon pink light seeping through the cracks in his fingers.

"Woah, be careful." He heard Andy say as he felt his hands grab his forearm and hip, trying to steady him. He adjusted his eyes as he placed his own hand on Andy's shoulder. A mid-2000s hip-hop song started while his ear fluid 'settled'.

"Underestimate the power of the booze, Wyatt?" He heard Tom's voice over the loudspeaker and glanced at the DJ booth. He was obviously tipsy and dancing wildly to the music he had presumably chosen. Ben shook his head and rubbed at the space between his eyebrows.

"What is this stuff made of again?" Ben met Andy's eyes. Andy grinned and moved his hands away from Ben. "Coffee, caffeine, alcohol...some other stuff." Andy took a sip from his own glass.

"I should probably get some water." Ben sighed and eyed the bar. "Or..." Andy's smiled widened "You let your recent roommate buy you a congratulatory drink!" He playfully shoved Ben's shoulder and fished his sunglasses out of his jacket, putting them on.

"What are we celebrating?" Ben swallowed and stared at the cheaply carpeted floor. "Burt Machlan and Ben Wyatt!" Andy yelled over the music "Federal Booze Inspectors!"

Ben glanced up at him and shook his head in mock disapproval, a smirk spreading across his lips. Andy grabbed his shoulder again and they walked over to the line near the only male bartender.

"My good bartender!" Andy shouted "Two more glasses of Snake Juice, please!"
