Did it strike you as odd that we got a scene there at all?? That JK was there? That they decided to set it up and that the scene became (or was set up to be) a moment to talk about Jimin’s depression as remarked by an unnamed 'friend'?

I did watch it! I admit I’m one of those that shares a family members’ account and so was able to watch all the episodes when they aired.

Jimin’s Place

I don’t really know how to feel about Jimin and Jungkook having a parts of the episode together at Jimin’s place. It did feel weird because Jimin in particular had until recently not shown use even the edges of his TV! Us loosing it over his billboard number 1 live and seeing a chair?! Then the live with his house tour?? I still don’t believe that was not a dream

All I can say is it’s Jimin’s place and if he allowed the cameras in, in 2022, when this was filmed then he was comfortable enough. He had confidence in the show showing what he felt comfortable with showing. Jin, Hobi, Jungkook & Yoongi didn’t show their places, so if he didn’t want to, I’m sure he wouldn’t have to.

What was the reason 🗣️

I kinda felt like the whole point of the show was to continue the mantra of Bangtan, that they love ARMY and they love each other, among other things.

I found it crazy sus that they showed the members as a whole unit and they showed them as individuals but the only two they showed in different setting was Jikook, not just cooking, drinking, talking and eating together but also making music together, with the parts of the recording of ‘Letter’ being shown.’

It was soo hard to ignore though!! They literally had Yoongi eating chicken alone, Namjoon cleaning his place alone, Tae chilling in his place and eating alone but Jikook cooking together, eating together, laughing together, being introspective and honest in front of each other.

What does it meeaaaannnn?!

The same way it’s being drummed into our heads that BTS love performing, love ARMY, love each other and are also individuals…I feel like it was also being drummed into our heads the reality of the closeness of Jikook?

That one can call the other over and they spend time together and do thing none group/work related. BUT that they also can rely on each other in anyway work related, including solo works. That there is nothing not accessible to each other when it comes to Jikook?

Jungkook has access to Jimin’s home, kitchen and also studio sessions during their solo careers, that Jimin can call on him and give him that access, that it’s mutual?

I mean we not only have this from the Monuments show, we have their companionship enlistment and the ‘coming soon’ Jimin & Jungkook show. It’s like neon signs on the closest duo in the group, at least to me. I LIVE! I LOVE IT! I can’t wait for more of it, however Jikook want to give it to us.

The ‘Friend’

In regards to the ‘friend’ that Jimin speaks about in his story, the one he had a little fight with, that he went to help move the next day and said he thought Jimin might be depressed. I personally don’t think it was Jungkook.

For me, it’s just because I don’t see the need to think that Jikook are each other’s only friends and only people they know. We know Jimin is a very loyal and loving friend. We know that he has friends that aren’t famous as well as those that are. Him not mentioning the name of his friend and just referring to them as ‘friend’ may not have been due to him ‘hiding in plain sight’ with Jungkook but more like just protecting the privacy of a non-celeb friend OR a celeb friend.

If Jimin wanted to say ‘Jungkookie and I were having a drink the other day and talking’ he could have, it would have been no different than him saying how Jungkook came to his hotel room several times day or night, multiple times on live and on the PTD DVDs. No different than him talking and drinking with Jungkook there in camera.

I do feel like Jungkook had heard the story before, but not because Jungkook was the friend in question, but because Jikook are close and talk to each other and Jimin would most likely have told Jungkook about this around the time it happened.

BTS RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR GAME!

Hello everyone!! I created a game for every content creator that sometimes wants to create but doesn’t know from where to start. I was in that position yesterday and I remembered this “game” I used to do all the time back when I was playing “The sims4″, and I thought why not I make it into a BTS Game!

So what we need is the google number generator and an excel with the categories. I spend 2 hours of my life to create the Excel and I will list the links for both the excel and the google generator link down bellow! Also I will kindly ask you to read some of the instructions I will give here because I know some people will have questions. Let’s go:

Instructions

As you can see the first line has the categories.

We have 2 main categories. The “Members” and “Content”.

Under the 1st line I give you the numbers you’ll need for the generator, from where the category starts and where it ends

You simple generate from 4 to 11 to get a member or ot7 then you go to the second category and you generate the 4 to 25 to get the content. As you can see most of the Content options have " * ” on them. What it means is that If you get this, you find the specific category to regenerate and get one option. For example, if you get Awards Show.. you go to the Award Show category and you generate which award show it ll be. And that’s it!!

Notes:

For some categories I didn’t add more details because I can’t just type down 1k videos from Bangtan TV. What I would do If I get a category that has no specific number or episode etc.. I would choose 3-4 videos and generate a number . For example for the Award Show, if you get MAMA, just use 2014 - 2022 and see which year you ll get. For In the Soop, if it had 7 eps you do the 1 to 7 etc.

The Talk Show Category has shows that DO NOT feature all the members sometimes, I mostly added them to give you an Idea so It’s up to you if you want to follow that category or not!

For Memories you do the same thing.. you see how many CDs are there and then you choose the videos.

For the Interview Category, I have to admit I was lazy to add all the interviews from 2013 to today, so I give you the link to 0613data that have everything organized and honestly I used their content as a guide to create this. You can choose which interview you want with the same logic as I give here!

Lastly, If you feel like something is missing you can always create and add more. Use this as a template and fill it with anything you want to include!! Remember I made this for us to have fun and escape that “block” when it comes to what to create!!

Rekindle (Jungkook finds the perfect way to ask Jennie for forgiveness as each member of BTS help out. Jen starts getting jealous for a change. JenKook finally get the members back for taking photos of them while sleeping on the plane.) One of my FAVS! Absolute CHEESE AND FLUFF with all members with MAJOR Jungkook fluff! :) I love this one soooo much! I always thought of this one as one of my best chapters. It's so cute. I love rereading it.

Tension Escalator (BTS have an Undercover Mission in Japan. For the tension escalator, Jen watches with nervousness and assumes Jungkook won't do anything drastic but is instantly proved wrong.)

Fan Signs (BTS attend a fansign and Jennie deals with more discrimination as OT7 supporters skip and ignore her during the fan sign. Jennie meets and hangs with Sam Okyere) some angst but ends in fluff!

ISAC 2015 Chuseok Special (Jen shows off her studio and gets noticed by her celeb crush. Volleyball becomes a new competition for the ladies at ISAC as Jen finds it to be her calling while the guys dominate in running.) One of my favs!!

Running Man: The Golden Duo (Due to popular demand, Jennie is asked to guest star in a Couples themed Episode of Running Man, bringing Jungkook with her to go up against other groups of two.) There’s something I’ve been meaning to ask…I don’t have access to a lot of original Bangtan content so please bear with me. And please, correct me if I’ve seen edited versions of this.

There’s an episode of Run BTS (I think? - I saw this clip as part of a compilation) where Jungkook’s penalty is to let his members spend his money or to buy everyone whatever they picked at a store. And Jimin sneaks in a hat/beanie. And Jungkook kind of gets upset when he figures it out? Why get upset if your s/o is getting something?

Let me explain: First off, I am not a troll. I generally take all their interactions with a pinch of salt because we don’t know what they are or aren’t until they tell us. Second, I do think there’s more to them because there are some sus moments or moments that make me go 👀 but here is the thing - there isn’t enough to ‘confirm anything’ and so this is one of those moments that made me think, well maybe there isn’t much to them, maybe they flirt, maybe they explored but that’s all because if Jimin did indeed sneak in a beanie, Jungkook should have been okay with it or should have not gotten upset?

Okay, well ill answer this like perhaps you've just never tried googling anything, but you DO have access to original BTS content. ESPECIALLY RUN BTS EPISODES. That is free content love. And its on MUTLIPLE PLATFORMS. Vlive has recently shut down, but it used to be up on Vlive AND weverse for FREE. It's still currently up on Weverse for FREE. It's now also up on Bangtan TV YouTube in playlists... for free. Plus if you also just type into the YouTube "run bts ep x" tons of videos will pop up of subbed episodes ARMYs have essentially just copied over. Like run bts episodes are the easiest content to get access to. So not watching them is 100% a choice you make, not an inability to find or afford it. Which even for paid content, most ARMYs will upload things places for others to be able to watch for free. And I'm generally always happy to help people find links and get access to the content if I can.

I promise I'm not trying to come off as rude, but please, try to watch original content. Please. Especially when it's free or when you know of people (like me) who are more than happy to help link people to content in various different ways if you cannot afford to purchase it or cannot find it somewhere to purchase anymore because the content is too old (like memories or concert DVDs). I share links on here all the time. The episode you are looking for here is episode 70 though.

It's like 3 minutes in. JK loses at rock paper scissors and then has to buy everyone (who played and won) hoodies. He runs, grabs his wallet and basically says "I'll buy everyone one" and treats his hyungs. Who take FULL ADVANTAGE and tease the hell out of him and joke about buying everything, not just hoodies and spending all of JKs money. Tossing up shoes and hats and taking forever and going all through the store as JK keeps trying to corrale everyone and figure out who is buying what and hurry everyone along. Jimin kept saying he wouldn't get something snd then teasingly, jokingly, snuck in a hat. And JK was all confused at where the hat came from and RM snitched. Telling JK it was Jimin. Who was then confused because Jimin said he wasn't going to buy something and then teased Jimin back about going back on what he said. Jimin teased more saying he won the game so he should get it. RM starts joking about how its a freebie. Jimin starts hugging JK and laughing. As JK continues looking for the rest of his hyungs to finally finish checking out. Lol

Corraling 6 people through the store as they are all being silly is an exhausting experience. You should try it anon. Lol but he wasn't upset. He went right back to smiling and continued to shop with everyone too and agreed to buying everyone all their extras too. And then used that to try and ask for special treatment from them back at the house for buying all their clothes.

I genuinely don't care if you think they are just friends, or fuck buddies, or in deep passionate love. Lol but PLEASE watch original content! It's so fun, you will have a blast and it's honestly way better than compilations. I promise. You get ALL the context. Episode 70 is a continuation episode from 69 and continues into 71 too btw. And if you have any clips where you don't know where it came from, I promise, I am super happy to help you with finding the original video for it. I'm generally pretty decent at finding sources for BTS. Lol

bts on the bachelorette

i really tried to relax for 5 minutes today with some dumb reality TV and then my brain wouldn't shut up. have you ever wondered what bangtan's elimination order would be on a season of the bachelorette???? well wonder no more my friends...

(this started as a headcanon and then morphed into kind of a drabble? tbh i don't even know what's happening here. just enjoy it lmao 😂)

the first one sent home is yoongi - yes, i think my sweet baby boy would get sent home night one. this breaks my heart but i just see him being too reserved, too closed off, not jumping to make a first impression and getting lost in the shuffle. he would ABSOLUTELY be one of those first-eliminated guys who gets a whole legion of fans tho, and they campaign HARD to get his pale ass on paradise 😂

next to go is seokjin - he would get kept around just long enough to be a villain lmaoooo. the one guy who drives all the others crazy because he’s cocky as fuck about his looks and is NOT here to make friends. i could see jk telling on him to bachelorette and there being a whole dramatic confrontation where she rips the rose out of his hands and says “get the fuck out of here”. he absolutely makes and sells worldwide handsome merch after.

the next one out is jimin - and he's definitely the dude who gets by on sex appeal alone LMAO. the one where bachelorette is like ‘i’m just not sure i have the same connection with jimin’ and then he takes his shirt off and she’s like ‘……i’m sorry can you repeat the question’. they have at least two steamy makeout sessions before she finally has to send him packing tho, good for her 🥰

the first heartbreaking elimination is hoseok - my love, my angel, hobi is totally gonna end up in the friend zone on a show like this. he’s so caring and subtly sexy but i could see him being more of a support system for bachelorette and the person who brings her the inside scoop on what’s going on in the house. they’d both cry when she eliminates him but he’d be so sweet and understanding and go out of his way to make sure she smiles before he walks out. truly only wants the best for her.

then, the shocking elimination that's teased for weeks: jungkook - when i tell you twitter EXPLODES. you’ll see headlines about this one on the motherfucking NEWS in the morning. doe-eyed, tattooed, sexy shy badboy jk eliminated?!?!??! has the bitch lost her MIND????? but bachelorette just can’t get over the fact that he’s so young, and she’s afraid he’s not ready to make such a serious commitment.

there’s a ton of push-pull where she feels like jk doesn’t “fight for her” enough because he is more reserved, but then he’ll do something competitive and it’s just enough to keep her hooked on him a little longer, until this episode where she finally has to let him go. he definitely has an extended crying montage on the way out/in the car where he says some stuff about how he’d never been in love like this before. omg ouch let’s move on i’m hurt.

WHICH LEAVES THE FINAL TWO!!!!! and bachelorette is so torn!!! 😩

taehyung is gorgeous, romantic, and sensual (insert clip from a date of him feeding her chocolate covered strawberries). he’s an old soul, passionate, but has an extremely dry sense of humor that bachelorette falls HARD for. she loves that they can laugh together, and he isn’t afraid to look stupid or try something new (insert clip of them doing that indoor skydiving thing on a date). and he’s also not afraid to tell her exactly what he wants- marriage, kids, a life with her by his side.

but sometimes he can be hard to read. he’s honestly so good looking it makes her a little insecure, and she just has this nagging feeling like he isn’t quite letting her all the way in....but she can't tell if that's just her own fear about finding a love this intense.

namjoon is intelligent, supportive, and so goddamn sexy (insert clip from a group date competition of him doing pull-ups). bachelorette feels comfortable with him in a way she doesn’t quite have words for. sometimes she swears it feels like she’s met him before in another lifetime, and this is just a reunion. (insert clip from a picnic date where she rests her head in joon’s lap as he reads to her). he’s so well-spoken and such a deep thinker, and the world falls head over heels for the conversations they’re able to have about love, loyalty, identity, emotions.

but she’s not sure she feels the same passion and fire with him that she does with taehyung. namjoon admits outright that he doesn’t know what he wants in life, is unsure about marriage or kids, and when he gets too in his head and insecure about the competition, he can shut her out without meaning to.

we watch with bated breath as bachelorette takes her place at the gorgeous vista decorated for her proposal. everyone who’s seen the show before knows that whoever steps out of the limo first is the one she’s chosen to send home.

hearts shatter nationwide when joon ducks his head to exit the car.

bachelorette stops him before he can even go into his speech, laughs a little to herself: “I know if I let you start talking it’s going to change my mind, so let me go first.” explains that she’s just too scared of his indecisiveness. she’s prone to overthinking herself, so she needs someone who is going to offer stability, someone who is ready and knows what he wants. joon takes it like the gentleman he is, one dimple popping in a sad half-smile, and she presses up on her tiptoes to give him a hug.

which just leaves taehyung. he steps out of the car with a deep exhale, and you can see even from afar that his hands are shaking as he makes his way to bachelorette, mouth dropping open slightly at how gorgeous she looks.

the proposal is like something out of a movie, a long, perfect speech delivered in tae’s shaky baritone as a breeze ruffles through his hair and toys with the hem of bachelorette's dress. he winds back through their time together accompanied by an edited montage, and finally ends with the truth: he knew as soon as he laid eyes on her that this was meant to be, and that she was the one. the music swells as he drops to a knee and pulls out a big-ass diamond ring, and they’re both crying by the time she says yes.

~then, after the show wraps:

namjoon, fan fave that he is, appears in a suit on the reunion show to gladly accept the title of the next bachelor. expect LOTS of gratuitous clips of him in the gym during his intro package ooooof 🥵

the vast majority of our faves end up going to paradise- yoongi fucks literally every girl there LMAO, jungkook goes for one week but is too nervous to talk to anyone and just chats with the bartender and drinks fruity cocktails until he gets sent home. jimin and hobi have an epic summer bromance and end up choosing each other over any of the women.

and then, i mean, if we're being realistic... tae cheats on bachelorette 3 months into their engagement and they call the whole thing off 💀

just wondering what was the moment that made you a jikooker?

the point of no return was the behind the scenes bangtan tv episode we got for fire mv filming in may 2016. it's my tumblr header rn, but jeongguk approaches jimin and back hugs him so jimin asks jeongguk "what scene are we?" and jeongguk replies, "back hug [scene]" and it's been over for me since.

there had been a lot of pull and push between kookmin until this point where jeongguk was doing a lot of the pushing (which isn't to say at all that jeongguk was mean to jimin or didn't like him as some ppl love to say lol) but just that he was younger and figuring himself out/his boundaries out. anyways! jeongguk BACK HUGGING jimin out of the blue and jimin's kind of deadpan reaction....i lost my mind because this is the kind of attention jimin worked VERY hard for when it came to jeongguk and now he was giving it so FREELY. something had changed in the dynamic/jeongguk was more comfortable in his skin i think. but it's been kookmin ride or die since

Disclaimer Please note that this is for entertainment purposes only. What I comment on is purely observational, and there is no way for anyone to know the true nature of these dynamics and what motivates them without actually being a presence in their lives or a direct confidant(e). Any statement made that inadvertently comes across as "factual" should be understood as an implication within the boundaries of my perspective.

Introduction The first time I thought about doing this, my goal was to focus on the interactions and development of Jungkook and Jimin. This "miniseries," if you will, went through several iterations as I was watching Run BTS, and I decided to be a bit more inclusive about how the group behaves/interacts with one another with an emphasis on Jungkook and Jimin, when applicable. I believe doing it this way provides a better context and contrast.

Also, my observations won't really take their other content into account that was happening around the same time. I might say something that contradicts a Bangtan Bomb that was released roughly around the same time, for instance, so just be advised. Anyone is more than welcome to chime in with interesting tidbits from other content (if it's relevant).

If the episodes are short enough, or I don't feel like there's much going on, I'm going to fit several in a post.

Episode 11

How many times can I praise Yoongi and how delightfully animated he is? A lot, evidently, and I should start a drinking game every time I mention it. I'm kidding—but it speaks to how pervasive the narrative of Yoongi's alleged persona had been until just recently, and how egregiously incorrect it had been. If only those same people had taken the time to appreciate the shows that highlighted their real personalities and dynamics, but this is arguably one of the least problematic and irritating narratives pushed by the fandom as a whole.

We're also barely into the series, and it becomes clear how impressive it is that they've carried this show on their own compared to their traditional TV counterparts, where having an ever-revolving cast tends to be essential in maintaining a steady or increasing public interest (with some exceptions). We see it in later episodes where guests serve as guides or assistants, but they're notably never brought in as part of the main cast. Furthermore, traditional variety shows often capitalizes on caricatures of a persona, so it wasn't unusual to find out that an individual was nothing like they portrayed themselves for entertainment. Putting this into perspective, it highlights the group's natural charisma and how well they bounce off each other.

Side note: Perhaps one of my more dividing observations, but having seen content with BTS as individuals, I personally see them as a rare example of groups that work the best together than they do apart. This isn't in regards to their musical endeavors—in which they present very different strengths and stylistic preferences—but rather their public appearances on entertainment broadcasts.

The irony of Hoseok playing an emo kid (into literature) is that while he didn't capture the essence of one in this episode, he is and can be that quintessential “emo kid” (hello, Jack in the Box?). Though honestly, the emo kid 10+ years ago evokes a very different image than what we associate it with in today's culture. I feel like Hoseok ends up portraying a stereotype of a drama kid more than an emo kid, but that's just me.

It’s generally funny and interesting to me how the roles they each received (or for most of them) seem more like a parody of how some fans viewed them at the time.

Also, can we appreciate how unflinching the members are when Yoongi is revealed in his costume? From what I've seen in other variety-like shows, when a male cast member is forced into female clothing/appearance, it's done for the sake of humor and people react accordingly (there are also other questionable layers to this, but that is an entirely different topic). I suppose we could attribute the non-reactions to the scenario they're playing out and how seriously they're trying to assume their respective roles, but I feel as though most people in variety would've already broke character.

I think it's more a testament to their comfort in their masculinity, and how they don't necessarily view it like, “Haha! He's dressed like a girl!” but more like, “Well, this is what they gave us so it is what it is.” (Granted, I haven't watched the Behind-the-Scenes, but even if the members got it out of their systems prior to filming, most people in their situation would've still broke character. It's one of those things that can come off as too absurd not to laugh at, especially if there's an underlying discomfort that exists. This is more obvious in a lot of older variety shows in the 90s and aughts.)

Namjoon's portrayal of a "nice but slow-witted" kid is making me cry-laugh because he's obviously trying to play the role to the best of his ability, but it's really not landing.

I know Taehyung is, first and foremost, a member of BTS. But he is a true actor. I will be very surprised if he doesn't end up in a movie (main or supporting) at some point in his career.

Jungkook is really hard to watch because that's not him at all, and it's not helping that Namjoon is losing it in the back.

I hate that I was eating while watching this because Taehyung's interruption of Hoseok's courting by sneezing had me choking. His sneeze is the sneeze that can be heard 'round the world.

Yoonmin's Tom & Jerry never fails to entertain. I think what's really funny about their dynamic is that they're obviously supportive towards one another in real life when it counts, but they've developed this habit of hiding that aspect of their relationship a lot of the time and giving their friendly antagonism center stage anytime the opportunity arises, even if it's not what the situation is calling for.

Episode 12

Jimin returning $0.50 to the police station, and Yoongi reporting a scam. The dichotomy. And I love how Namjoon very candidly roasts Hoseok and Jimin.

Yoongi playing minesweeper. 😂 This portrayal reminds me of my dad, who was a BL litigator. He's a stereotype of anyone who works in law—very stern, no-nonsense, very busy, could whittle you down to bones if you tried to argue with him if you were clearly wrong—and one of the ways he coped with the work and hours without resorting to alcohol or cocaine (which are common vices in that industry) was playing minesweeper. I see minesweeper, I think of my dad; it's unavoidable.

This scene is weird to me in a laughable way because it was so unnecessary. I'm willing to bet that if anyone else was playing Jungkook's cop to Jimin's criminal, throwing him over their shoulder and slapping his ass as punishment for trying to escape wouldn't have crossed their minds. From where I'm standing, this kind of interaction between them suggests this kind of play isn’t entirely unfamiliar (which is not to be mistaken for anything sexually suggestive).

(Of course we see Taehyung do this with Jimin later in 2020, but contextually we could see they were literally in the middle of fooling around. I don't know who I'm envious of more in this situation, honestly.)

I'm just going to say it: I'm surprised when seeing some Jkkrs post this scene unironically as some indication of feelings. It's so obviously played up. This scene isn't even worth mentioning at all, and the only reason I'm pointing it out is because so many others have for a reason I can't fathom. This isn't directed at others who are aware of the context, but I have seen some who've taken it seriously. I think there are other Jikook moments within the show that would warrant a "Hm, interesting," but this is hardly one of them.

Jimin trying to get a reduced sentence from Yoongi and Jungkook was a lost cause from the beginning, I don't know why he bothered trying. These two, along with Jin, are near unsusceptible to his wiles; he would've had a better chance with Taehyung, Namjoon, and Hoseok, in my opinion.

I also find this scene a bit weird, even if it's all in jest. What I'm about to say isn't meant to reduce Jimin to this singular facet, but he's displaying a submissiveness that you wouldn't normally see from someone who's older in a given dynamic, even if it's playful. Even Yoongi, who lets all sorts of things happen to him, doesn't show unease or tentativeness that Jimin sometimes does when he doesn't need to feel that way, especially in a state of play. I would generally associate this behavior with the explanation that it's just who he is, but I don't recall seeing this kind of guilty deference he exhibits with any of the other members.

I wish I could make gifs because the part where Jimin squeezes past the prison bars, leaving Jungkook behind, is easily the funniest part of the episode.

I love watching Jin in this episode because you can absolutely tell how he's influenced Jungkook, especially when Jungkook acts out. It brings to mind that live (?) where Jungkook blames Jin as an explanation for his greasiness, and Jimin scolds him: "I told you not to learn those things.” If I had the time and energy, it'd be interesting to see the many ways Bangtan have influenced each other and what parts of their personality is their own and what they've adopted from constant proximity.

RM: (to Jimin) How wide are your shoulders? SJ: 23 cm. JM: (slaps)

Jin is so funny, and this is arguably the most entertaining episode thus far into the series.

The outro with the maknae line is also very silly:

JM: Then why did we have a dance battle? TH: You were supposed to go to the cell, but I wanted to watch you dance.

Episode 13

Ah, I remember this episode, and it's equally entertaining. From recollection, this was when the series (for me) got into a well-oiled groove. Superficially, it seems like the production and ideas from the staff have improved from previous episodes.

I'm not sure why their youth is more apparent to me in this episode, but I'm feeling my age watching this. I'm curious to see how Run BTS will look like for them once they're all out of the military.

Considering how graceful Jimin is on stage when he dances, you would assume he has strict control over his body, but it makes it that much funnier when he plays these games like a newborn giraffe. Rolling around in a controlled tube over water is obviously different from a stage, but core control is a thing of his which he has in abundance. He’s adorable.

The birth of wet hair Jimin? We all approve.

Why are the lead and main dancers so bad at these balancing game? 😂 They're very cute and precious to me.

Interesting scene here where Jungkook is caught unawares by Namjoon's exaggerated charm, and yet it rarely receives the kind of acknowledgement that the same gesture receives in the previous episode when Jungkook is "affected" by Jimin's own charms. Jungkook is very obviously dramatizing the experience for the audience's benefit in both episodes. There are some genuine interactions between Jikook in the series that's actually worth mentioning, but parsing context is something I find that shippers often have trouble with, which is also compounded by tunnel vision towards their ship.

The maknae line is so cute in this episode. I think I was in the middle of a conversation with another user before I left about this, and how bittersweet their dynamics have gotten as they’ve grown older. I talked about this sometime before, but while I don't think there's anything wrong with the relationships they have with one another, the relationships they cultivated when they were isolated from the outside world has since adjusted quite a lot in their second chapter. And when I say “bittersweet,” it’s not intended to be pessimistic; instead, it’s a reflection of how they’re growing up and how different they are. That’s adulthood for you.

Spoiler alert! But I imagine most of you have already watched this, and even if you didn't, you shouldn’t be reading this.

Jin's the spy. Knowing this, it's fascinating watching him in action and how he's not only able to deflect, but also manipulates the other members' weaknesses to his benefit. He also knows when to pick up the pace, as it were, to counterbalance any suspicions his members may have by actually trying. This is one of many episodes where Jin consistently proves that he’s not only a terrific liar, but that he’s also a gamer, through and through.

Final thoughts adjacently related to the show: I submitted an idea for a retreat to an EA in my company for a water park with an obstacle course in Thailand. I’m crossing my fingers that it’s strongly taken into consideration because I can't imagine having more fun than this. If I choose to stay with this company for the long haul, you can bet I'll be pulling ideas from the show because if I can't have fun with BTS, I will have my fun because of them.

Slow Dancing

Several artificial details seem to hint the beach scene are a virtual reality created by the animator character we already saw in "Rainy Days" (cr.).

We notably have Yeontan's face in the trees (cr. #1, cr. #2), all the people being replaced by V on the polaroid (cr.), as well as a constellation made of the swimmers and representing a dancing couple (cr.).

The snails and jellyfishes we see throughout the video tell the same story : we have references in V's workroom, virtual templates on the TV and the actual rendition in the summer scenes.

Bangtan Greenhouse identified the flowers eaten by Quique (daisies, possibly chamomile) (Quique mentioned in an Insta story that he was called "flower-eating guy" in the script) as well as the ones in V's workroom (peace lily).

The scenes on the sailboat were filmed in the bay of Palma, aboard the Rafael Verdera, Spain's oldest functioning boat (website).
