little minor detail that i just noticed when i rewatched 'barbie as the princess and the popstar' was that the detail in tori's tiara has a gclef music note design.
Tumblr media
idk if this was known by everyone except me who lives under a rock, but that is a cool minor detail to add to her design.

Weird not Halloween related post,
I've been on a slight obsession with combining universes
With Barbie, we have the obvious Fairytopia/Mariposa universe and The Princess & the Pauper/Popstar universe.
But, I've been seeing this one where the Queen of Princess & the Pauper is actually an older Genevieve from 12 Dancing Princesses and I am living all this.
Also, A Fashion Fairytale shows how every movie that has Barbie not be Barbie is just a movie role she's playing.

This moment is so important

The entire song anneliese and erika were talking about their problems and how much they dream of freedom, away from their responsibilities and this is their final decision
They both understand their situation and most importantly how they can't just walk away,no matter how much they want to do so
Anneliese is aware that despite everything she and her kingdom receive will be great, she loves someone else but knows that as a princess her people come first. She'll marry king Dominic to save her Kingdom at the cost of her own happiness
Erika knows that she can't just leave. It doesn't matter how terrible and unfair her life is,she's forced to work for long years as she barely gets anything in return. But she still remains hopeful
Both girls are fully aware that weather they like it or not, their current duty comes first, they bravely face it and don't try to run away from it,unlike so many other movies they didn't use the typical trope of "always be yourself and don't give a shit what the others say" this movie showed how sometimes we need to make huge sacrifices and I think that's really admirable

We're not appreciating the Weird Barbie enough. It's said in the movie that she helps everyone who need help while they always see her as someone who's not as good as them. She was friends with all dismissed Barbies and Kens, was there to offer support and safe shelter for everyone who needed it in Kendom, without her nothing in the movie would've been alright. When Stereotypical Barbie calls her "ugly and unwanted" she still helps her.
She was representing a woman in women's world who was pushed aside by other women because she didn't fit in but still had more wisdom and kindness than everyone who thought they're better than her.

One thing I appreciate about Barbie was the emphasis on age.
I was emotional when Barbie told the old woman how beautiful she was, and when Ruth came in and helped her become human.
It was also the fact that America Ferrera was the one having the crisis that caused Barbie to do the same.
The whole concept of the toy doesn't end in childhood. Cause she is an idea; Barbie is forever. She's everything. She's meant to inspire women to keep going for what they dream. You don't age out of these ideas, they grow with you, just like how Margot Robbie grew with America Ferrera.

I want to meet Steven from Luminous. His fear of Bibble is completely justified. I will protect him from the scary Bibble monster.
