Raquelle
For the spoiled and glamorous Raquelle, excess defines her posh lifestyle. She is exceptionally self-centered and loves looking at herself more than anything. The only thing to put a crack in her diamond sheen is her number one frenemy, Barbie. Raquelle’s dream house is right down the lane from Barbie’s dream house and Raquelle is constantly scheming of ways of catching her neighbor in a fashion fail and posting the pics on the web. She also wouldn’t mind stealing Barbie's boyfriend, which seems to be her biggest motive. What a Malibu meanie!
Actress Haviland Stillwell provides the voice for Raquelle, first appearing in the debut episode of the Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse animated series, airing on May 11th, 2012

Ok, picture me this, Raquelle and Barbie from Barbie: Life in The dreamhouse, Raquelle has MASSIVE internalize homophobia which is why she wants to be with ken so bad, she likes Barbie, loves her even, she wants to “correct” herself by liking the boyfriend of the girl she likes, now Barbie is bisexual, she knows she is, and she really loves ken but Raquelle has had her attention since they have met, but she doesn’t think that Raquelle is interested(which is just wrong-) so she stays with ken, they’re besties cause I don’t like ken slander tbh, also making the man in the relationship is just not it, so back into topic— Raquelle has an awful time trying to come to terms that she may(does) like women, I want her to have the most gut wrenching agonizing time trying to accept herself, Barbie is by her side THE HOLE TIME, Barbie and Raquelle therefore get closer together, but shit ain’t easy so angst happens with Raquelle because even is Barbie has helped her with her sexuality she doesn’t know if Barbie would even want to be with her in the first place, her self esteem is in hell and she doesn’t even think that she’ll be enough for Barbie because she’s Barbie she deserves the best, so she settles with being friends with her, she’s still a sassy queen, but when Barbie is nearby the sass is a little lower and her brother catches into this (I know mentioning Ryan now seems random because “why wasn’t he with Raquelle in her sexuality crisis?” Because I forgot about him now shut—) he tries to help the best he can cause that’s what they do they care for each other, and honestly I might just hyperfixate on this ngl man— but anyway that’s all for now.

I just had to say I love you for calling Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse a work of genius. Because it is! And more people should know it!!
More people should know it! Life in the Dreamhouse is one of the top-ranking examples of "shows where the creative team made it much better than it ever had to be". All it had to be was a schmaltzy toy commercial, and instead it's a wildly meta satirical romp. A thing of beauty and a joy forever and not at all what I expected when I started streaming it just to see how terrible it was.

Of Course You Ken (A Barbie x Ken fic that's inspired by the Barbie movie trailer and a little of Life In The Dream House. I have not seen the movie yet, but I love the look and aesthetic.)
It was a fantastically plastic day in Barbie Land as Barbie herself was in her Dream House, happily "watering" the bright pink flower that sat on her window sill.
While tending to her pretty plant, she gently hums the refrain of her favorite song.
Ding dong!
"Coming!" Barbie calls out as she sets her watering can down, heels clicking as she heads towards the door.
Twisting the knob, she sees Mail Carrier Barbie standing on the other side, her usual smile on her face.
"Mail Carrier Barbie!" Barbie beams as she greets the messenger with a hug. "So nice to see you!"
"Nice to see you too, Malibu Barbie!" The mail carrier replies, returning the affection.
Reaching a hand inside her blue carrier bag, she pulls out a few letters and hands them to the blonde.
"Thank you!"
"You're welcome!"
As Mail Carrier Barbie starts to take off, Malibu Barbie waves her a goodbye.
"Have a pinkarific day!💖 💗 💕 💟"
"You too! 💙 💌"
After closing her front door, Barbie begins to examine her letters, reading each one off.
"Let's see, invite to a party, invite to a party, invite to a party, invite to another party, invite to have tea and brunch with the president..."
Upon reaching her last envelope, her eyes light up at the familiar name written on the front in blue pen.
"Oh, a letter from Ken!" The doll was brimming with excitement as she swiftly set the other envelopes down on her pink plastic table.
Opening the envelope from her boyfriend, the letter inside read:
Dear Barbie,
Ken, I come over to your house? 💙 💪
This is Ken btw
- Ken
A small giggle was given by the blonde at the cute letter. Ken was seriously the most adorable doll she's ever met. She should totes send him an answer.
...
At the Barbie Land Beach, the Barbies and Kens that were there were having a day of fun in the sun as the song "Wipe Out" played in the background.
Near the volleyball court, a thrilling match between Malibu Ken and another Ken was taking place. Other dolls watched the game with anticipation as they cheered for their favorite Ken.
The timer ticked as the two Kens were neck and neck. To win, one of them had to score an endpoint within the remaining 30 seconds.
Tossing the ball in the air, Ken serves the ball over the net to Malibu Ken, who hits it back.
The other Ken throws himself into the ball, but misses as it hits the ground.
Blowing his whistle, the score keeper flips a point down for Malibu Ken. He has 10, while the other Ken has 9, making him the winner.
As the crowd cheers for him, Malibu Ken pumps a fist in the air, exclaiming a "yes!".
"Ken, Ken!" A male voice calls out to him.
Turning around, Malibu Ken sees another Ken dressed in tennis attire rushing up to him with a letter.
Out of breath, the Ken bends down and places both hands on his knees as he pants for air.
He was exhausted from all that running.
The Ken then holds up the letter for Malibu Ken. "Message from Barbie," he breaths out.
Wait, Barbie?
His ladylove?
The Juliet to his Romeo?
His whole world?
She sent him a message?
Malibu Ken immediately takes the letter.
"Thanks, Ken!" He grins, high-fiving the other Ken.
"No problem, man." He huffs, throwing a weak thumbs up. Tired, Tennis Ken takes off slowly.
Opening the envelope from his girlfriend, the letter inside read:
Dear, Ken
Of course you can! ☺️
Sincerely,
Barbie 💓 💋
Ken's heart was ignited by the sweet and short message. His Barbie was a poetic genius. She had such a way with words.
He continued to smile like a puppy in love at the letter.
Nothing could ruin this moment for him.
Nothing.
Not even the beach ball that randomly hits him on the head.
"Sorry, Ken!" Someone apologizes off screen.
...
Barbie sat at the desk in her room, gazing down at Ken's latest letter as she giggled.
It read:
Dear Barbie,
Don't you mean, 'Of course you Ken' ? 😏
This is still Ken btw
- Ken 💙
Setting the letter down, she adds the finishing touches to her own.
It read:
Dear, Ken
Lol! 🥰
- Barbie
After that, she gets up and goes to bed.
Pulling out her pink sleep mask, she puts it on.
The doll emits a soft sigh.
Raising up her hands, she claps twice, resulting in the lights going out.
Immediately, Barbie takes a trip to dream land.
Tommorrow, she'll deliver her letter to Ken in person. 💌
