Dean Martin - Dream With Dean

1964 Reprise Records

Found a cheap copy at the antique mall & it has some surface noise, but I do believe this is my favorite of Dean's albums. I especially like the guitar of Barney Kessel, and the album seems to have more of a jazz feel to it.

Green Street” by #GrantGreen was recorded at the Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey featuring Green on guitar, #BenTucker on bass and #DaveBailey on drums. It’s a little different than his “Grant’s First Stand” because he replaced #BabyFaceWhillette and his jump’n organ with Ben Tucker and his bass. But this album is far from disappointment and Tucker’s bass augments Green’s playing note for note. This is an Analogue Productions 2-LP 45 RPM reissue that sounds awesome the opening track “No. 1 Green Street” until the closing track “Alone Together”. I always see comparisons of Grant Green to the great #CharlieChristian which there was also the same comparisons laid on #WesMontgomery, #KennyBurrell and #BarneyKessel to Christian as well.
