*From previous chapter*
As I walked down the hall, I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and checked the time. "Shit, it's 7:30!" I said to myself before putting my phone back into my pocket and picking up my pace as I searched for Paige and Carmella. After a while of searching up and down the entire backstage area. I walked past their locker, and there they were. "Guys, I need to tell you something," I said, smiling. "What is it?" Paige asked, doing her makeup. "Baron asked me out on a date." I replied, blushing like crazy which obviously caused Paige to turn around and look at me.
"Oh my god, that's amazing. Y/N, " she replied, getting up from her chair and hugging me tightly, which caused me to laugh a little bit."I know, right?" I replied through the laughing. After a few minutes, she finally pulled away from the hug. "Oooh, Y/N has a date." Carmella said, chuckling, causing Paige to punch her in the arm. "Owwww," Carmella replied back, causing me to laugh. Soon enough, I walked past them and grabbed my ring gear, and headed towards the bathroom. Once I got into the bathroom, I took my shirt and pants off and slipped on my ring gear and walked in front of the mirror, and put my hair up into two braids. I quickly took a picture of myself and posted it on Instagram before picking up my clothes and walking out the door. "Hey, Y/N, we're coming with you to the gorilla so we can watch your match." Carmella said, looking up from her phone. "Yeah, we're going to watch you beat Charlotte's ass!" Paige chimed laughing. "She deserves it." I replied, setting down my clothes, picking up the wrist tape, and wrapping it around my wrist.
"We know she does!" Carmella and Paige asked at the same time, causing us all to chuckle. After I got done with my wrist tape, I sat the roll of tape down and took off towards the gorilla with Carmella and Paige following behind me. After a few minutes of walking, Carmella broke the silence when she said, "I'm going to head to catering. I will be in the gorilla in a bit, I promise." "Ok" I replied as she walked past us towards catering. After a few seconds of standing in front of the door to the gorilla, I finally decided to go inside. Once we got inside, I immediately started to look around the room. Paige seemed to have noticed because she elbowed me in the arm. "You looking for Corbin, aren't you?" She asked, slightly chuckling. "Yeah." I replied, smiling as I still scanned the room for Baron. "Maybe he's not in here right now." Paige said before walking off towards the divas that she was going to be teamed up with for the show. Once she was gone, I pulled my phone out of my back pocket once again and started to scroll through Twitter.
After a few minutes, I started to zone out until the group of mean divas came up to me. "Ha, you seriously think that Baron loves you? That's so pathetic." The burnette said laughing, causing the other ones to laugh again just like they did earlier. "It really is man Y/N. How stupid are you? Corbin doesn't love girls who look like you." The blonde one said chuckling again, causing a tear to run down my face. One of the other divas opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by Baron, who walked up right behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Fuck off and leave Y/N alone she's perfect just the way she is and just so you bitches know me and Y/N are going on a date tonight." Baron said resting his head on my shoulder causing the girls to walk off. "Thanks!" I said smiling.
"You're welcome!" He replied, lifting his head up and turning me around to look at him. "Don't worry about them!" He said, placing a kiss to my forehead before walking over to Shane. I smile before looking at the TV at the intro for the show. As the matches went on and on, it was finally my turn. I heard my theme song, so I got up from my chair and walked out of the gorilla and into the arena. As I walked down the ramp, I high fived the fans until I got to the ring. I jumped up on the apron and stepped through the ropes. Once I got into the ring, Charlotte's theme song came on. I immediately glared at her as she walked down the ramp and slid into the ring.
I couldn't control my anger, so I attacked her, and I wasn't going to let up on her anytime soon. After a few minutes of fighting, the officials finally got me off of her, and the bell officially rang, so after that, I continued to punch her, and then I hit her with the end of days for the 3 count. I got up and hopped out of the ring and walked up the ramp to the gorilla. As soon as I opened the curtain, I was greeted by Baron. "Congratulations, Y/N!" He said, pulling me into a hug. "Thank you." I replied through the laughing. He ended up pulling away from the hug and looking me in the eyes. "Go get changed and meet me in my locker room." He said. And with that, I took off towards my locker room.

More obscure muses ( Introduction ) series.
Fandom: BLACK BUTLER.
Muse #2- Angelina Dalles / Madam Red
Tumblr media
Age 32-34 ( anime and manga )
Baroness Angelina Dalles-Burnet, nicknamed An and known to her peers as Madam Red, is the widow of Baron Burnett, younger sister of Rachel Phantomhive, and aunt of "Ciel" and Ciel Phantomhive. Along with Grelle Sutcliff, Angelina is responsible for the Jack the Ripper murders.
Angelina is an outgoing, frivolous individual with an earthy sense of humor. She once suggested that Sebastian Michaelis work for her, on account of his being handsome, while casually stroking his back. On another occasion, she attempted to make Undertaker laugh by telling him a dirty joke. Despite her crude personality, Angelina believes that ladies are more attractive if they act innocent, naïve, fragile, and cheerful, particularly around their lords; she had instilled this very concept into the young Elizabeth Midford.
Angelina cares deeply about her family. She admires and loves her sister, Rachel Phantomhive, whose asthma motivated her to become a doctor, as she wanted to cure her condition. Moreover, Angelina treats Ciel Phantomhive as though he were her own son; she once requested that Sebastian protect him, and she could not bring herself to harm him, even when they were adversaries.
The deaths of her family members have greatly traumatized her. As a result of said deaths, she turns to violence and develops a cruel disregard for human life. Which is why she had teamed up with a grim reaper to exact her revenge on who she had deemed undeserving.
Angelina has a complicated relationship with her hair and the color red. Although she considers red as the color that defines her, hence her title of "Madam Red," she also harbors resentment toward it. Initially, she loathed her red hair, which she inherited from her father; she would cover up her hair and keep her bangs long to hide her face. After Vincent Phantomhive, the man she loved, stated that he liked her hair, as it reminded him of "the colour of lycoris, a colour that blazes the earth," she cut her bangs, took pride in her hair, and embraced the color red. When Vincent and Rachel married, Angelina disliked red again, even though she was glad that the two people she loved most were happy.[15] After she lost her husband and her baby a carriage accident, as well as the rest of her family to a fire, she described red as the color she hated the most.
Vincent once said that Angelina's hair reminded him of the color of lycoris. The poisonous plants of the lycoris genus usually bloom near cemeteries; because of that, they are associated with longing, separation, death, reincarnation, and the afterlife in Chinese and Japanese legends and often used as funeral flowers. In one legend, it is also said that, when someone meets a person they may never meet again, lycoris would bloom along the path.

Mr. Sardonicus, an underrated William Castle film, is Chad’s pick; he had not seen the movie all the way through until now. He doesn’t appreciate Castle interrupting the buildup to the climax by delivering his Punishment Poll gimmick, but Chad still thinks this is one of the Castle’s best movies. For him, Mr. Sardonicus has a different feel from Castle’s earlier films and he loves the makeup.
Daphne agrees with Chad regarding the break right before the climax and she also observes that Mr. Sardonicus deals with some sensitive subjects, making it more mature than much of Castle’s work. She loves the mask Sardonicus wears and finds his character to be really evil – a proper bad guy. The story is a bit confusing to Whitney even though she finds the movie to be well-paced. The use of light and shadow also draws her attention in several scenes. Jeff is impressed with Ray Russell’s screenplay, the cast, the cinematography, and both the mask and the makeup.
Check out these other Decades of Horror podcasts on William Castle’s work:
THE TINGLER (1959) – Episode 5 – Decades of Horror: The Classic Era

The Debut of Carol & Co. - March 31, 1990
More than a decade after Carol Burnett’s classic television series took its final bow, she returned with new company in the Disney series Carol & Co. Similar to the legendary The Carol Burnett Show, the new series featured sketch comedy with an ensemble cast . But gone were the veteran comedians Vicki Lawrence, Harvey Korman and Tim Conway, and a brand-new group of young talent was introduced, including Meagen Fay, Terry Kiser, Richard Kind, Anita Barone, Peter Krause, and Jeremy Piven. The show ran for two seasons on NBC.

Thinkin' about madam red 🥰
I love madam red so much. I love how she's just a complete bitch, a really terrible person, and how that can coexist with the severe tragedy of her story. Neither one negates the other and it's really effective at making her feel real. Like I feel like the story does nothing to suggest that madam red was justified in any way, while simultaneously depicting the ways in which she's a victim of the patriarchal culture she was raised in.
I feel like madam Red's a lesbian, is the thing. She clearly hated herself so she latched onto Vincent, the nearest man who gave her a shred of attention (I know, I've done it myself- not because I hated myself tho, it's just pretty textbook comphet) out of the fear that no-one else could possibly love her. In "Lycoris that blazes the earth" (not canon I know but still, she's definitely settling in the manga too) she sings about how "[Burnett] could love her" but nothing about how she actually felt about him, and in the manga she never said that she loved him, only that he was good to her and that he was "honest and pure" (Madam red clearly values honesty, Grell is the most honest character in the whole manga- though definitely not pure).
Now that's supposedly because she was still in love with Vincent but I feel like it's pretty clear that she was just obsessed with him, he was definitely a mythical figure in her mind (Vincent seems to have that effect on people, see Baron Kelvin).
So, Madam Red lacks one of the most important things that victorian society needs women to have- attraction and love for men. And then she loses the other most important thing for a woman to have in victorian society, the ability to bear children? Poor Angelina thought "well 1 out of 2 ain't bad right" but then she had 0/2 and she snapped.
She, like all the other "aristocrats of evil", is caught in the web of the society they have created that gives them great power at the price of the following of these rigid rules and requirements. She can't leave the system that causes her so much pain for these things without losing the safety net that keeps her alive- the safety net that allowed her to kill for so long without being caught, the protection her station allowed her. She can't just be a lesbian because it breaks those rules. Killing so many people, however, does not actually break those rules until her Majesty notices.
That's definitely why she was so drawn to Grell, the least inhibited and queerest person on the black butler planet.
That's my interpretation anyway, let me know what you think!
