I just discovered that Baroque violinist Olivier Brault wears historybounding outfits for his performances and TBH why are we not doing this more often, fam?
Also, anyone who complains that Joshua Bell moves around too much when he plays is going to be scandalized by Brault's performance style--he takes the connection between Baroque dance and Baroque music very seriously. LOL

Yeah I may be lowkey obsessed with Brault's whole historybounding bit. Video's in French but the generated subtitles are mostly comprehensible.
Also, for all of us traumatized by the Suzuki method hearing La Folia as it was meant to be played is healing:
Tangentially: I used to be one of those dour fucks who thought dancing while fiddling was terribly gimmicky but if ever there were a genre you could pull that off with it would be Baroque dance. Brault's already halfway there! If I do something with this idea it's his fault.
