Season 4 Headcanon Rewrites!

I posted on twt and it ended up being a really fun thread about how my headcanon(s) based off of how Microcosmos ends plays into Season 4/Marley arc and beyond!! Yesterday I spent time rewatching parts and I got sooo giddy and excited because of these thoughts.

This post will contain my fanfic spoilers:

Basically, at the start of Season 4, Levi and Mikasa are now essentially engaged and hoping to wed someday after the war :') Unfortunately, they still have to go out to Marley to battle, retrieve Eren, and even after all of that they'll still need to deal with the actual events of war that we all know follow. Despite that, viewing them as fiances is actually really damn FUN

My first headcanon is that Levi kicking Eren in front of Mikasa again is EXTRA personal. Not only did Eren force them to come back to Marley again just weeks after Levi and Mikasa went back to retrieve him, Eren also demanded the other Scouts to come, which resulted in many Scout losses. Eren is also the one who forces them to work with Zeke, who had tormented Mikasa in Marley. It's pretty much a big "fuck you, Eren, for all of the inconvenience you cause to my betrothed and I"

Then we have these scenes of Levi fighting alongside the Scouts and demanding them to simply live. There are thousands of reasons why this is one of my favorite shots/moments of Levi, but with the new headcanon, you can feel the desperate hope Levi holds onto -- the hope for a long future with Mikasa. ;-; In my final chapter, he talks about how the reason why he can do this -- attack inside the Internment Zone, knowing there are innocents there, work alongside Zeke who he HATES, etc -- is because he wants to fight to have a safe life w Mikasa. So it just feels like there could be another layer of motivation for him to win and succeed. (Tbh, I can't see canon Levi actually being okay with attacking Liberio anyway)

Again, we see Levi is fighting alongside the Scouts there ^ but all of a sudden, Levi appears to slash the Jaw titan when it bites Eren! Mikasa was the one closely fighting and protecting Eren in canon here, so Levi showing up feels like he was watching over Mikasa's safety and task even while he was off fighting alongside the Scouts. We don't see their scenes together here BUT it's cool knowing Levi and Mikasa were directly fighting alongside each other again in this moment.

This is another fun headcanon I had that I almost wanted to write into my story at the end.

We know that Mikasa has been Levi's right-hand soldier since Season 3. She is his strongest, most reliable, most trusted soldier he has and they have carried out even the most deadly of missions together.

And YET... Levi is carrying out this mission with Zeke on his own (obviously with other Scouts, but you know what I mean).

I headcanon that the higher-ups no longer allow Levi and Mikasa to work closely together on missions anymore because of their relationship/engagement. It's why Mikasa isn't with him, despite again being his closest and best soldier. More so, I also headcanon that Levi would have refused Mikasa to be around Zeke, anyway, considering what Zeke did to her in Marley (my Ch13).

Going on, it gives Levi even MORE rage against Zeke, especially when he tortures the crap out of Zeke. Levi is already familiar with beating up a Jaeger brother for grievances against Mikasa lmaoooo.

He said "you torture my wife? I torture you back, bitch"

Then we get this scene... which implies Levi and Mikasa's first reunion since departing the Marley airship. I can see them being so so so emotional/holding back their tears as they enter the battle at Liberio. But I can also see Mikasa being EXTREME emotional at her first sight of Hange bringing her an injured Levi. Her fiance is brutalized; she (anyone, really) has never seen Levi this injured and hurt before and she realizes the war really did almost take away Levi from her. ;-; Levi is happy to be alive to see her again.

(Side note, I can see Hange saving Levi and he panics asking if Mikasa is ok, and Hange is the good friend who tells him she's safe, and wants to make sure she brings Levi safely to Mikasa as soon as possible... she gives them a moment alone when they reunite ;-;)

OK now skipping to the end...

All of the final battle stuff. BADASS SHIP STUFF. Like "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" vibes where the world's safety revolves around these two lovers. Final motivation to win the battle so that they can get married and live a long happy life together after all of it is done and over!!! It makes the Ackercare moments sweeter, and makes Mikasa saving Levi from the titan's mouth even more emotional.

Obviously... Mikasa wouldn't be putting on that damn scarf. She also obviously wouldn't be kissing Eren's corpse head LMFAO.

I imagine she'd have a short moment to pause and grieve Eren's death after cutting his head, but what snaps her quickly back to the present is her anxious self trying to get back to Levi (and the rest of the squad). Because who stays alive is more important to her than who died...

Isn't that fun though?! Thinking of Levi and Mikasa as fiances throughout all of this ;-; I'm CRYING! Maybe this delulu headcanon post is still my way of continually grieving the end of my story. I hate that I wrote this all out now though because now I want to dabble in scene rewrites as a mini-fic that would pair as a small series to Microcosmos... LOL idk!??!

Hi! I love your fic ''You're Dead'' but I saw your post about not updateing it/turning it into an original piece. As much as I'd love to read it w/ original characters, I'm also very attached to yd!karlnapity :'3 So I wondered - it's due to Dream allegations right? Idk too much (I saw some stuff on twt about it but there were so many re-tellings I'm not sure what is true) but if the allegations turn out false, will you continue the piece? Or maybe I don't know something and it's all been proven true?

At this point I legitimately don’t know what’s true and what’s not. What I do know comes right from Dream’s Twitlonger. He did some weird messaging with fans, and- even if they weren’t minors- that’s really freaky. Shitty, even.

This isn’t my first rodeo with this kind of thing. I was an Achievement Hunter and Funhaus fan back in 2020. I also know to always believe the victim and to not believe, say, random fucking people saying things and then immediately leaving.

I’ve never liked Dream. It’s never been a secret. I’ve never watched any of his videos besides the face reveal and I’ve never watched any of his streams because I’ve never liked him. I’ve never defended him outside of saying he isn’t ugly. All the stuff he’s done in the past has been horrible. I firmly believe that you can grow as a person (I know it firsthand), and I’ve always been able to separate art from artist as you can tell by c!Dream being in my fics, but at this point it’s legit just too much. Because even if the allegations are true, the way he handled this plus the Manatreed situation earlier this year plus him, again, admitting to sending weird and very parasocial messages to fans just makes everything he’s touched tainted.

You’re Dead won’t be continued. I have cried over this. It isn’t the most important thing in the world, and the priority here should be with the victim(s?), but it still hit hard yesterday when I realized I’ll never be able to finish my fic.

Even if I was to play devil’s advocate here, I’d say that he’s still too gross. Dream’s character was going to die in the end, anyway, but I’d still have to write and include him in the second half of the fic, and I’m. Not doing that. So it can never be continued even if the allegations are somehow false. It sucks and I’m heartbroken. There, I said it, but it isn’t worth hours and hours of seeing his name there. He doesn’t deserve even a single hit on the Google search bar.

But! I really like the new concepts I have for You’re Dead: the Remake. It’s tighter and more focused while making adjustments to the characters that bring them to life in new ways and allow them to act like total fucking freaks all of the time (because tbh they were super ooc for a fanfic.) There were a lot of plot threads in YD I don’t think I could have ever successfully concluded in a satisfying way. Things were jumbled and messy and, honestly, pretty bad. But now I can fix it and make it actually good!

If the allegations are somehow false and other creators ditch the asshole motherfucker piece of shit, maybe I’ll be able to write about their characters in peace. Maybe. Karlnapity are so fucking important to me, you don’t understand. But the way things are looking based on what I saw on Karl’s stream last night and by how silent twitter has been on the subject… it’s not looking too good.

One of the boys posted a beautiful song on Twitter which I highly recommend everyone to listen to this lovely song and then taekookers started being shit again under the bts twt account bc the song stopped at 1:23 and as far as I know they also have a theory about 123 so they claim the song was posted by JK. Meanwhile others saying either Namjoon or Taehyung posted bc they do randomly. It couldbe anyone and just a simple screen shot. Anyway, Personally I read the 123 theory for TK and except the recommendation songs which is common for both KM and TK theories, other statements were a little bit ambiguous for me like they were struggling to make a connection and convince ppl that its for TH, that doesn't make sense to me and it couldn't make me believe in it. Then I read the KM theory and... literally... they were sth that I couldn't ignore and deny and yet Idk. Since I really love Jikookers on Tumblr and ur blog for sure, bc I've never seen u guys being delulu or acting toxic, I wanted to know your thoughts about the 123 theory for KM. So based off the emoji used I would guess it was Tae who posted. But who knows! It is just guess work at this point whenever they don't tag it. I will say that Jimin and JK usually always tag their posts while the other members sometimes do and sometimes don't. Lol Hobi, Suga and Tae almost never do. Suga only seems to tag his when posting for the boys birthdays. Anyway, my guess is that the post was from Tae. Jay from Twitter did a wonderful thread over both Taekook/Jikook theories over the 123 stuff. It's not fully updated but it's very through with proof both sides consider as their proof.

Personally I like to keep it objective and I think both lean a bit more towards the conspiracy theory side and don't totally buy into it. But honestly the Jikook theory seems to have more behind it to back it up. Considering that Jimin DID start by saying 1:23 in a song described HIM as a person instead of just it happening to be a birthday. And the fact that when JK posted a 123 post, Jimin would sometimes reply to it. Making it an exchange between them. But I digress. Everyone can form their own opinions. It's a wonderful and objective thread for you to be able to do that. Including saying both thoeries of full of BS and just simply moving on. Lol

Personally, I think this was just a song promotion of someone they know (because they do know each other) and they were being friendly. And it's an amazing song! I'm glad they shared it! I don't think this has anything anything do with ships of any kind.

Big huge /roleplay !!!

(Sorry for any grammatical issues and dumb formatting errors. There’s a reason I’m an artist and not a theorist. It’s because I can’t write a good essay or armument to save my life, so bear with me please! This might be a little sloppily written.)

Ok, first off. The abuse and manipulation c!Dream put c!Tommy under is inexcusable and I will in no way invalidate c!Tommy’s mental state after what happened to him. Those streams made me so uncomfortable and upset I ended up skipping a few. C!Tommy’s already shown and will continue to show how c!Dream made him feel helpless and dependable on him and what impact the manipulation had on him. I’m very sorry if I made anyone think that or feel upset! Abuse is a very serious thing and c!Dream definitely cannot be excused for his actions!

I do not excuse anything he did just because I feel like it! I take responsibility for not clearing that up directly, sorry :/

I 100% agree that Dream not showing his pov is probably one of the best decisions made in the whole series! It definitely made me unbelievably curious about his character and motivation and I’m always on the edge of my seat when he makes an appearance on anyone’s stream.

A lot of the following is based off Punz’s last dream smp stream because that is one of the few times we actually get some insight on c!Dream and his motives and character. Also I’m taking a few things from a twt thread by @/dr3amt3am3. I wanna credit her, because it’s a very interesting thread. I am not speaking for her though! I guess this is just my interpretation of her theory.

C!Dream has been from the beginning on all about having a unified server and as he said in the conversation with c!Punz, he thought of them all as a family. Then came around people who destroyed that ideology by splitting from the group and making their own countries and stuff. I think c!Dream does think of everyone on the server as his family and you want the people close to you to get along, right? I think that was always his intentions. But instead of that happening- L’Manburg happened. And then Manburg. And then the Badlands. And then Mexican L’Manburg. I’m not even sure he knows about Dry Waters yet? His plans backfired and the server split up in more and more pieces. I think at this point c!Dream is very desperate because he lost the one thing he always needed. Control. Control over the server and it’s inhabitants. Also I’m not sure, so please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think c!Dream’s way of operating changed after his deal with c!Schlatt? I don’t want to blame all his wrongdoings on something that has no standing at this point in the story, of course, but I’m way too curious about that book c!Schlatt gave him to not at least mention it.

I wish I could just easily blame Dreamons or possession by a certain ghost, I’m not gonna lie, but that would invalidate literally EVERYTHING that happened story and plot wise. I did want to mention that as well though because this fandom does tend to ship off all the blame on possession, me included :’D

I think c!Dream took a huge step in the wrong direction after the Pogtopia/Manburg war.

My theory is actually that he thinks he HAS to commit to being a villain, as it is the only way to make everyone be unified. That’s why he’s sure he’s gonna be hated by everyone after whatever he’s done. He’s destined to be their ultimate villain and they bond and stay together after it. This sounds farfetched, I agree but this is what my brain latched onto after the information c!Dream dropped on us!

Something even a little more fucked up I’ve read by before was what if c!Dream just ends up putting everyone in the prison to rule over them as one nation? That sounds even more unrealistic but I did want to mention it.

Of couse this depends on whether or not c!Dream actually spoke the truth while talking to Punz. If it turns out he just manipulated Punz too by telling him that my theory is made null and my hope in c!Dream as well.

And yes, you’re right that Dream is well on his way of making c!Dream an inexcusable villain. There’s no doubt. None of my theories are based on c!Dream being a good person. Maybe he had good intentions once (???) but at this point he’s too far gone.

Don’t take this too seriously though, it’s all just some thories I have. I can definitely be swayed on my opinions if anyone thinks I’m 100% in the wrong here and should see it another way!! Please just don’t come and hate me, I get upset very easily :(

I don’t even know if any of this makes sense tbh I think I’ll just go back to drawing after this :’) Writing analysis and theories is really not my thing-

I do have to apologize for not clearing up that I do not excuse any actions of c!Dream though. When I made those posts before, I woke up after sleeping for two hours. I am sleep-deprived 24/7 but today was really bad and I didn’t really think before posting so there came up some weird things that I’m not very proud of, I’m really sorry. This does not excuse my dumb takes but I did want to explain it!

Favorite series:

My favorite series based on what I watched and enjoyed would have to be Arc-V!!! It's honestly the series that got me to adore YGO when previously I'd seen YGO as, and I chilidishly quote, "uncool". Everything about Arc-V is pretty much wonderful: Yuya's presence as a "everyone MUST be happy" kind of character in a plot that discusses themes of war, revenge, and despair is absolutely refreshing (especially when Yuya's ideals of happiness are stripped from him and made a mockery of by, *coughs* one of my favorite characters in the franchise *coughs*). 

I love how the four Yuu boys are a wonderful combination of "protagonists" (/anatagonists) and how they each play off of each other's weaknesses and strengths, often acting as mirrors to each other in their individual dimensions while having amazing interactions (Yugo and Yuri, anyone? Yuri and Yuya?).

I admire how the endgame plot is a perversion of Yuya's ideals: he gets what he wants, showering happiness upon all, but that "happiness" is corrupted into the notion of entertainment. While Yuya seeks to provide people with smiles and laughter, to give them hope to work together through tough times and to stay strong in the face of adversity, his "counterparts" in the endgame are really good at acting as Yuya's mirror: showing that his style of performing can also be used to appease the bloodthirst of one's own self and that happiness can be corrupted into self-deserving power.

...Hard to put that into exact words without spoiling a lot of things but, gosh, let's just say that Yuri and ____ are the perfect mirrors to Yuya in terms of what his entertainment dueling style is meant to be.

The plot over all is pretty good! I won't lie and say it stands strong all the way throughout the story but the first half is amazing and there are some pretty strong episodes in the second half (Yugo and Rin, the parasite episodes in general, Yuri Yuri YURI). I can definitely say that the humor is there, the characters are amazing (if nothing else, watch for the Yuu Boys, the Bracelet Gals, and Shun versus Sora!!) and having come into the show around episode 104, I was pleasantly surprised by the trip Arc-V brought me and how it played with its protagonist, giving him hope, kicking him down, and toying with his mind - just like the way a warzone might to any idealistic individual.

In terms of other series, I like VRAINS but only up to like episode 19 (or the end of the Data Bank arc). It had potential and I kept hoping it would get better but the plot was constantly floundering, there are plot holes abundant (sewer monsters, ugh), character development is inconsistent not to mention very shallow, VRAINS has some of the best side characters but they're kicked to the curb by a bland protagonist and a villain that could've been so much cooler but they made him a sympathetic mess.

...I have a lot of gripes with VRAINS but, if it were to ever be rewritten with clear goalposts and plot twists in mind (not to mention development on ideas like Charisma Duelists because at the end of the show I still have not a fucking clue what a Charisma Duelists is or was) I would say it has potential to become my favorite series but Arc-V clearly beats it for me in every category lmao.

Zexal’s also really good too!!! I don’t get all the hate behind it because it’s actually really interesting and engaging (also IV’s definition of fanservice is literally the only type of fanservice I will ever accept) and I think I’ve even cried a couple of times during the course of the plot which is like,,, shocking considering it’s not a show I thought I’d cry over (I cried in Arc-V too but goddamn does tiny Yuya just want to make you tear up lmao). This show is really good emotionally and it’s literally so stupid how Kaito carries a lot of the early and middle game of the show yet most of the meat of the plot doesn’t begin to unravel until the second season.

Also, if you ever want to watch a show of 100+ episodes that is so masterfully written that there is foreshadowing for stuff in like episode 130+ on EPISODE ONE, please watch this. Literally there are so many hints of what is going to happen in the future in the early episodes and you won’t really be able to tell what those hints are until you’ve finished the show but goddamn when you go back and rewatch things it does indeed feel amazing how much foreshadowing they threaded into the show without you ever knowing...(please don’t search for spoilers if you intend to watch this. I went into the show knowing some spoilers tho not all and, while I was still pleased by what I watched, I honestly can agree the show is A Lot Better without knowing ANYTHING)

Favorite Protagonist: Yuya. For sure, out of all the series, Yuya. 

He’s a refreshing protagonist, especially considering he shines in a world of war and despair. He’s also someone who you empathize with right at the start and want to hope in, especially since he is the “happiness” in a word of “madness” and “sorrow”. He’s not someone out to save the world (not really, anyways), but his actions touch on the lives of others anyways, giving people in a hope in a world that is otherwise cruel and heartless. Also, it really helps that he’s able to pull you into his world of “egaos”, making you believe in him and root for him despite how cheesy his ideals may or may not sound.

Also love how, despite being the centerpiece of “happiness”, Yuya isn’t allowed to always be happy :> Not spoiling plot related things but if you like protagonists going off the rails insane at times, Yuya’s definitely a fun protagonist for that!!!

Favorite Rival:

Kaito Tenjou!!! Literally the best rival in the series that I’ve seen. Everything about him is literally perfect ngl. From the way he’s chillingly introduced, with the spine-tingling whistles and cruel, almost merciless nature, to the way he slowly becomes sympathetic while also remaining a terrifying presence whenever he appears...I love him????

Favorite BFF:

Does Shoichi count? Because like...he’s Yusaku’s closest friend and ally in the series and I generally don’t pay attention to the other BFF’s in the other series (or at least, the ones I can recall bc I know in Zexal that Yuma has a whole group of friends lmao).

But I like Shoichi!! He cares about Yusaku a lot, is pretty damn cool as a sidekick hacker, his sideplot with his brother was actually honestly endearing and I loved the mystery about him. His early-game jokes w/ Ai to tease Yusaku were also a good laugh.

Favorite GFF: 

Not a girl friend forever for the main protagonist (although she like...lowkey confessed to him...though that plot really never went anywhere so I still don’t know what the fuck THAT was about) but,,, Ema Bessho,,

If y’all knew me back in my peak YGO days when VRAINS was airing,,, this gal was and STILL is my favorite girl of the YGO series. Even though she was pretty much done dirty imo I still love her (even despite considering she’s been made a damsel-in-distress at least three times, she’s only ever won one duel on-screen despite being supposedly good at dueling, ngl they could’ve done so much more with her but tbh she’s mostly just an asset to solve problems at whim and barely gets character development/does nothing but watch and spectate stuff late-game).

Even though she’s like...the unfortunate side character who’s probably meant to be more fanservice than interesting, in the first 19 episodes (and even the Revolver vs. her fight as well as the one time she meets Aoi IRL early-game) made her out to be a lot cooler and complex than she ended up being. I mean,,, a hacker gal who’s self-serving, cynical, and cold-hearted taking on the tasks of her (potentially ex) boyfriend while being really nice to his sister to the point she baffles even herself,,, we could’ve had a really unique and cool character to play around with here but instead we got...cool-ass character with potential to be something more reduced to a spectator with nothing better to do than idolize the main protagonist and have a plot with her brother that honestly detracted from her character more than it added to it imo.

Also Ema could’ve been a female Yuri but,,, nope,,, they decided she was better as a background piece instead TwT

Favorite Villain: Yuri.

Literally Yuri.

I could choose the leather jacket w/ fluff boi in a certain series because hot damn was that guy convincing AF that he wasn’t an evil psychopath (and even while knowing that he was, I still got fooled into thinking he was a good guy somehow omg) however,,, I’ve always held a love for Yuri and the way he’s been portrayed.

Despite ALWAYS being the bad guy, the show has always made this purple fucker into the most entertaining character on-screen. He even beats Yuya sometimes in terms of how entertaining he is - that’s literally how good he is,,

Also his facial expressions are amazing, he’s a VERY VALID threat to the main cast (and his creeper levels are not only off the charts but literally called out by the main female protagonist herself lmao), and he acts as the perfect foil to Yuya, battling not to entertain others but to entertain himself.

Also, he likes killing people.

He literally likes killing people. And is pretty sadistic about it, too.

(^^^^ for those who don’t get the joke, “Fusion” is pronounced “Yuugo” which sounds similar to “Yugo” which is what,,, Yuri is making fun of,,, more context is needed of course but this is a Great Running Gag)

I don’t know if it actually exists as an actual card but...that crystal dragon from the YGO movie with the glass pyramid. Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon...it’s really pretty...I love it...

Favorite Episode:

I’m...too lazy to search for names of these episodes but I can give brief summaries of them,,, because I can’t choose,,,

Arc-V: Shun vs. Sora (ALL episodes). Hot damn if you have never watched YGO but want to try and see for yourself why people like it: WATCH THESE EPISODES. I can’t explain how amazing these episodes are and, while I admit jumping straight into them might have you missing out on some important context (such as who Shun is or why Sora’s battle tactics lead to revelation) it’s honestly an amazing fight regardless. The battle starts off plain enough - there’s obvious tension, it seems like a typical fight of a battle royale, etc. - my god does the battle ramp up in emotional tension and promptly kick you in the gut with not only how blindsided you’ve been, but it also showcases just how cruel these “entertainment duels” can really get.

Any episode with Yuri. Literally any episode he’s in. 

I think this is like...episode 8 of VRAINS...but whenever it is that Akira hires Ema to find the reason why Aoi just...straight up got knocked into a coma. Literally this is my favorite episode when it comes to Ema. The way she makes fun of Akira even while aware of his situation,,, her cruel selfishness and desire for money bubbling to the surface, the way she confesses how she can’t be trusted willingly and still asks Akira why he’s hiring her,,, god I love this episode in terms of what Ema could’ve always been.

Episode 13 (/14?) of Zexal!!! This is the episode Kaito appears and when the show REALLY picks up. Kaito is a fun bastard of a rival and tbh I don’t think I’ll ever stop getting chills of him walking in, debris frozen in time all around him, as he approaches his victim, whistling an eerie children’s tune as he gets ready to close in for the kill,,,,

Favorite Deck to Use:

I don’t...really play the game itself but...I have used a couple of decks and I guess you can say I really love Raid Raptors??? First of all, those warbirds make really fun sounds I love ‘em in the anime but they’re also just fun to use in general (even tho I used a,,, very basic deck for them,,, I love them still).

XYZ bc it’s really the only summoning method I’m used to lol :P. Also XYZ loyalist I guess???? 

Years in fandom: roughly five to six years iirc? I mean, I was a fan of the early day YGO and watched it as a kid but not active enough to be in the fandom for it lmao. Also not in the fandom atm because Sevens lost my attention (it’s a good show!!! I’m just unfortunately more a fan of things with serious plots and darker themes and it’s hard for me to stomach slice-of-life shows that don’t focus on a mature and engaging plot). But I do have a few things to say, regardless, because I found specific phrases you used, to be sketchy/unclear at best.

Warning tho : this is going to delve into a discussion of "rape and sexuality" from a real life perspective, since the fandom seems so bent upon drawing parallels to reality and compare fiction and irl examples. If you find that uncomfortable, block the tag "tw:rape" and scroll past.

Putting aside the issue of the subject matter of the threads for a second, I'll focus on the other part : about *posting publicly*. I talked to three separate followers of the twt artist, who also happen to be my tumblr mutuals, and they basically confirmed the same thing : there was no "open discussion", in the sense, that, they did so either on Privatter (assuming you know how it works) or they did in the comment threads on their *personal twitter account*, and only those who were willing to engage in such a discussion, went ahead and joined. They did not encroach on anyone's space and invite them in forcefully.

I'm putting the screenshots of conversation I've had with one of my friends regarding this, and as you can see, none of it was *open for public viewing*

Let me put this in perspective : suppose you're not into kpop (I picked a random example, btw) and find it weird and flamboyant, and you generally avoid it altogether. While scrolling through tumblr, you stumble upon a hardcore kpop blog, you're totally put off by the contents and you complain to your mutuals about how ABC person indulges in kpop and you found it weird and unappealing.

But my point is, there was nothing public about the said blog or account, because, by nature, every blog or account is a person's private space for expression of ideas. Yes, tumblr, twitter and other social media platforms are all *public* in the sense that they are hosted on public domains and anyone with an access to the Internet can stumble upon any website or blog listed therein. But, you, being a responsible, well discerning person, willingly stepped onto a personal blog or acc on which the owner was likely to present their own views, and started complaining about what you found there. Your statement implies, that you willingly browsed through the comment threads until the point you spotted these uncomfortable discussions and you voluntarily exposed yourself to the same.

I find it highly confusing how you generalised something as sensitive and complex as psychological behaviour on behalf of a bunch of strangers you never actually interacted with (or confirmed their views on the said matter) and proceeded to label them as "people who liked rape".

What does the statement "liking rape" mean anyway? And, does anyone who talk about or discusses rape, in the context of fanarts and fanfiction, and that too, "rape fantasy" in this case, (but I'll get to it in a moment) automatically becomes someone who likes the act? Or condones it happening in real life, to real people or situations? I'm curious as to which aspect of rape they talked about 'liking' (since your statement implies they explicitly stated so) : was it the pain, the trauma, the physical and psychological stress, or the violence and the sense of dominance over a helpless, real life person?

If you do have an answer supported by evidence, let me know, I'll modify my response gladly.

It brings me to my third point : these artists or the people who commented, were discussing, not about real life rape, but a fantasy situation in which they put two fictional characters together and made a fanart of them (the composition of the art in question is described in the conversation above).

Deriving pleasure from the actual act of rape or sexual violence is a pathological condition and needs medical or psychiatric treatment.

Deriving pleasure or indulging in paraphilic sexual fantasies, however, is not uncommon. I'll redirect you to @iamtrashforash 's post here that describes this issue more coherently. If I remember correctly, the actual comment I saw in the screenshot circulating around, regarding the controversy, went something along the lines of "I love seeing Ash's pained face in this situation", and that's what made people lose their minds. There was outrage over "How could you do that with Ash, a CSA survivor? It sends a bad message to them, it's triggering, it's disrespectful, you are disgusting, etc etc."

But, my own conversations with three people who are in real life CSA survivors, two of them who reached out to me in my DMs over the last two days, have given me a very different idea about what these people actually think regarding the art. Here's the hot take : they did not find it disturbing or offensive to themselves personally.

In fact, they pointed out, that they saw it as a fictional scenario, were well aware of the differences between the artist's intent and their potential real life behaviour (FYI, none of them drew the conclusion that either the artist or the people discussing it, "liked rape").

The fact that the comment threads were openly talking about indulging in such a fantasy is what seemed to baffle the more outspoken and outraged people, who proceeded to harass and send hate messages to the creators. But here's the fact : these fetishes have existed for as long as humanity has, and will continue to do so, regardless of whether you crucify a handful of people in a small corner of a fandom or not.

If you're familiar with the yaoi manga genre, or any adult erotica games (I can't cite any examples bc I don't have enough details, but I do know they exist), you'll find a plethora of works where all sorts of fantasy situations are presented : rape is fetishised, there's shape-shifters (vampires or otherwise), A/B/O dynamics, even bestiality. In other words, a major prevalence of themes like dominant, aggressive behaviour contrasted with helpless, passive behaviour as far as sexual situations go. And they are thriving. They have a huge pool of audience out in the world.

Whether these fetishes are "morally right or wrong" to indulge in, is not a question I have any authority to debate, because I'm not a clinical psychologist, or a behavioural scientist.

Personally speaking, I happen to be a demisexual person. Any discussion of sexual situations or scenarios outside of my own very narrow comfort zone or mental compatibility scares the shit out of me. And I find all of the above scenarios I described, as plainly unappealing and downright weird or scary. I will never, as long as I have my faculties in control, go out seeking any of them voluntarily, in either fanarts or fiction.

My point is, this is a complicated issue, I fully acknowledge that beforehand. We, as a fandom, got attached to Ash as a character, for so many different reasons. We all love him, respect him for standing up against all odds, and fighting against his fate all his life. That's the reason why the back-lash against these depictions got so violent, I think. People are more willing to see him heal, to see him make peace with his scars and move on. The general consensus with this line of thought was so ingrained in our minds, that people lashed out as soon as something "against the norms" and "potentially harmful" came to their notice.

But, the thing is, both these outcomes, are fictional. The fandom's biggest purpose is this : we weave fiction out of fiction itself. That's why we have fanarts and AUs and headcanons and a hundred other things. And different people will find different aspects of said fictional scenarios appealing. It's why we have so many ships on one hand and unfortunately, *ridiculous* ship-wars and toxic discourses on the other. But, it's okay to accept that there'll always be differences in such a wide space where everyone is coming together. It's okay to find content you don't agree with, and simply, move on.

But, I'll repeat myself : I'm not going to persecute people, who have carefully tagged, classified, and filtered their content, being mindful of the others in the fandom, and barge on their doors demanding "why they liked what they liked" and "how could they like such a thing??". Especially because it is fiction, involving fictional characters, separated from reality.

Had it been a real life discourse, involving actual people, I'd have definitely spoken out against it.

A/N: This was my first time writing an asexual character, and while I’ve received some positive feedback, I still hope I did it justice enough for my fellow aces. ♥

Jimin is in his favorite place: Hoseok's lap, his arms wrapped around his lover's neck like gentle vines, and Jimin is the flower. Hoseok is always gentle with him, all sweet kisses and soft touches with no sexual intentions; he respects his boyfriend's permanent boundaries, never once suggesting or forcing. "I want to be with you, Jiminie, not in your pants," Hoseok had said when they finally confessed to each other. He had looked at his right hand, "Hello, old friend. They both knew it was a lie, and Hoseok was adamant to put that to rest. "You are the only one I want, Park Jimin. My heart is yours. My dick? He can go fuck himself."

Well, right now, Hoseok's dick was basically knocking, and Hoseok wanted to lock the door. Jimin quickly threads fingers into his hair, keeping him close. He could feel rather than hear the groan Hoseok was swallowing down, tightening his grip on his waist. "Jiminie... Jimin." He finally pulled away at his boyfriend's firm tone, feeling a little guilty. But even as he nibbled his lip, he kept his eyes on Hoseok's, watching the dark pools crash like waves as emotions fought and he gathered his bearings. The heart-shaped grin he adores is back, ready to spill the same sincere apology. It is halted when Jimin kisses him again, a little firmer. He can feel brows furrow and the warm hands stutter, but when Jimin curiously grinds his hips, he gasps at the strong grip on his hips, halting him immediately. Hoseok had turned his lips away, tilting back out of reach. He looks frustrated, but it's not directed at his crotch this time. "Jimin, what are you doing?"

"I-I just..." Hoseok's face softens at his lover's wide eyes, sighing solemnly as he cups his cheeks.

Hoseok breathes a laugh, glancing downwards, "That makes two of us, babe." His hands leave his hips to return to his waist, rubbing gentle circles with his thumb. "Why'd you do that?" Jimin follows his gaze, noticing Hoseok's erection was still there. "Jiminie, you shouldn't worry about that."

"About what?"

Hoseok narrows his eyes playfully, "Don't play coy, now."

Jimin blushes, biting his lip in thought. Hoseok waits patiently, still drawing those invisible circles. Their argument comes to mind, back when he finally voiced his worries that he couldn't give Hoseok what he needed. "It's not a need, Jiminie. It's a want. All I need is you." Hoseok always seems to have the right words and meant every single one of them.

Jimin's mind flashes forward to their hopeful future, marrying the love of their life and foregoing the traditional honeymoon. Hoseok suggested he'd take them to Jeju, where they can vacation off the grid for a while and get used to calling each other 'husband.' Jimin fell more in love with him that day. That future is Jimin's want, but he can't deny the growing want to meet his partner in the middle. He'll never have sex with Hoseok, that's solid in his head as of right now. However, there's nothing wrong with... a helping hand, right?

After months' worth of Google searches, reading ace forums, and confiding in his best friend, Taehyung, Jimin has come to his own conclusion that: yes, he wants to please his partner. He genuinely wants to, and not for the sake of keeping him, but simply out of a desire to tend the fire instead of Hoseok extinguishing the flames entirely. Jimin knows he won't be burned, though. He wants to try this. Worst case scenario: he feels too weird and uncomfortable and knows Hoseok won't be mad. He'd drink a tea, Hoseok would take a shower, and it doesn't have to happen again. Best case scenario...

When he finally nods at his internal monologue and finds his words, he's noticed Hoseok's hands are at his cheeks now. He's greeted with that lovely smile again.

"Hey, baby." He pecks his lips, resting his forehead on his. "You okay?"

"I'm fine..." It comes out as a whisper, so Jimin clears his throat. Here goes...

"Are you hun—"

"I want to dry-hump you." That... didn't sound so bluntly odd in his head, but he's amused (and nervous) with the pure shock and confusion on his boyfriend's face. Jimin feels his cheeks burning - and something twitching.

"You..." He can see those brown pools darkening again, but as always, Hoseok stays afloat. With hands remaining on Jimin's cheeks, Hoseok presses a kiss to his nose, brows furrowed as he gathers his thoughts. "What brought this on, Jiminie?"

Jimin smiles shyly, brushing his fingers over the lines in Hoseok's forehead, coaxing him to relax. "You're so good to me, hyung. Amazing. You make me feel beautiful and cared for and loved. “You did nothing wrong, sweetheart.” Hoseok is trailing kisses along his face, going over his cheeks and eyebrows and eyelids as they flutter shut from the tenderness of his lips. He’s still caged in his arms, invisible circles tickling him a little. He feels the kisses turn into smiles, peeking his eyes open to see eyes watching him fondly. “You’re so cute, Jiminie.”

“Shush…” His mumble is clearly ignored when he feels a kiss to his ear before a whisper sends a shiver through his body.

Jimin seems to grow a little shy, squeezing his hand gently. “And I wanna see how cute you look when you cum...” Hoseok’s ego should feel somewhat emasculated, but he doesn’t really give a damn. Just as before, they didn’t really talk about it. However, a strange tension they didn’t know existed seems to be dissipating - it’s as if they became more in tune since that night. It no longer feels one-sided; it’s a new balance they’re discovering together. Jimin still doubts he’ll ever go all the way; it’d be unfair to Hoseok, who’s made it clear he wants the other person to enjoy the act. For now, Jimin wouldn’t mind lending a hand every once and while - literally. Which was once again a pleasant surprise to Hoseok only a week later, during their morning shower. He blushes when he overhears Taehyung whispering loudly, “Okay, what love potion did you drink this morning? I mean, you’re always a sun around Jimin, but you’re, like… glowing.”

“Nah, he’s my sun, TaeTae.” Nice save, Hoseokie. Cue another fake gag from Taehyung.

“No, seriously.”

“Okay… See, I know this witch--”

“Ugh!”Jimin stops listening when it’s his turn to order. After he lists off the drinks, he gives the cashier their names to write on each one. His lips twitch to smirk, but he smiles sweetly instead, “Can you write ‘Baby Boy’ on the last one, please.” The girl gives a questioning look but grabs the sharpie anyway.

She’s in the middle of writing it when she throws both the cup and pen in the air, startled by a familiar screech. Jimin spins around, watching Taehyung chase Hoseok out of the cafe, waving one of his Gucci slides in his hand, “COME BACK HERE, TRESPASSER!”

Oh, boy… “Uh, on second thought, I think I’ll take those drinks to go, ma’am.”

I’m kinda the opposite about lore digging but it’s probably just me lol, I tend to read lore in game only, but don’t have many of the artifacts/weapons that contain the lore I want to read. But disregarding that, I still want some of the worldbuilding to be put in like a story quest or something, since it would be interesting to see what other characters think about the stories in the artifacts and stuff (do different mondstadters have different opinions on their history? What do they think about the white knight or the gladiator? Also I wanna see Eula interacting with the noblesse oblige set. same with Liyue folk and all the Morax Legends lol. I digress tho)

Big same with the La Signora gripe. Shame on me ig but I didn’t read the crimson witch lore before I did the quest so the spoilers I saw didn’t mean much and there was no shock value during the big reveal in quest 💀 yeah I hope we’ll see or hear about her in Snezhnaya!! Her side of the story would be infinitely more interesting (pls not another artifact set tho-)

Mm true it’s strange because I think he said thanked the traveler for being his companion while he was testing out his human life at the end of the archon quest (iirc) maybe it’s just because Liyue’s supposedly a big city so one new person doesn’t really matter to most people (fhdksd if something contradicts this, do tell) I think the fake death was still kinda necessary, at least for normal people to accept that Morax is Completely Gone so that the Qixing can get ultimate authority and total acceptance/respect (that npc who said Zhongli will always be in true control since he’s a god and the Qixing are mere mortals and stuff), but agree to disagree 😌 they’re all shady in some way in the end
