The Triangle (yoga sanskrit name: trikonasana) is one of the many standing poses that promotes stability in partnership with gravity. The Triangle "A" version is all about "feeling" how the weight of the upper body hardwires the understanding of the centre point of gravity. Anchoring the feet by drawing them away from each other is the key element of the foundation needed to support the transition forward, automatically turning on the core and postural foundation. 

Subtle movements introduced in the shoulders, spine, head and spreading the fingers ensure the "entire" body is on the payroll for the task. 

"Triangular" shapes in the pose and are physical guides for the articulations in movement.
