Hello, SonicAsura I would like your thoughts on a Ben 10 Alien that I think is pretty cool that we know so little about, that Alien being from the reboot continuity

Bashmouth

I love this Alien's design and set of abilites, and I want to know more about their species, but that information hasn't been given. I feel that Bashmouth is supposed to be a parallel of Rath's species Appoplexians. I think this would be awesome, these two species that have a sort of rivalry and may even hold annual tournaments to prove whose better. I want to more info on Bashmouths species but that may take awhile. So what are your thoughts on Bashmouth? Love to hear them.

I had to look him up on the wiki as I really despise the reboot and swore never to watch it.

A rivalry between Bashmouth and Rath's species is very plausible. Other than the obvious cat vs dog scenario, both are very prideful especially when it pertains to skill or sheer power. The former would use a form of boxing to counter any Appoplexian wrestling style.

Best way to describe Bashmouth and his feline rivals is two peas in a pod. Well, if the pod is a fight club.

I’ve got 2 questions and I hope neither are too demanding

Does Bashmouth’s species exist in the rewrite, and if so what are interactions between them and Loboans like?

In the rewrite, are you planning on changing how Kevin’s first mutation looks by much? what I mean is will the different species mesh better, because the Mecamorph part of Kevin 11 always seemed to be just decorative rather than practical, and does Kevin get a small intelligence boost because of the Galvan DNA?

For Bashmouth, I have no idea. Again, I have not seen the entire reboot, so I would have to do so to decide what to do with Bashmouth, and how to make him different from loboans. For now it's gonna be a no, but perhaps in the future I might do something. I will be doing a slight redesign of Kevin's first mutation, and the rest, but the first will stick with the original ten aliens. I've done fusions before, you can find them on my main page, but I will indeed try and use aliens like ghostfreak a little more in the design. Greymatter is gonna be hard though lol, since his design doesn't have a lot to offer. When it comes to the intelligence boost, I imagine it's something Kevin has to actively take a few seconds to himself to unlock in a sense. But because of his impulsive nature as a kid, he often forgets he has this trait, but it does happen.

I'm so sorry to all my beloved B10 fans!!! (I keep hopping my interests 🥹🥹🥹) It's been so long since I drew anything for them!! (Especially for this au). Under read more I wrote a lil bit of what I could remember about Albedo in this au:

For Albedo in this au he is one of the main antagonist but not a villainous one. His main goal is to set things right in space & to fix the mistake Azmuth has cause by building the omnitrix. But to do that he needs Ben watch. Sadly he tracked the wrong one and found Kevin's diy version. He has all of Kevin's aliens except Bashmouth (They all look the same aside from shifting palettes to match Albedo's albino features). Like the other alien kids he's just a child who unfortunately got mixed up in the intergalactic affairs/troubles caused by those he used to look up too.

This is it. The final one. Now I can actually focus on writing the damn story. Enjoy, for all its worth.

Bashmouth

Donor Name: Tor-Mago (sometimes called Tor)

Species: Lykosian

Birthplace: Lykos

Hair: Greying Black Fur

Powers/Abilities:

-Enhanced Senses: “…Get thee to the wilderness. Yea, thy souls are afflicted of this World: Ye are carnal.” Bashmouth has highly attuned senses of smell, hearing, and night vision. His sense of smell can detect poisonous substances, and his vision is highly adept at tracking movement in pitch black. Although, Bashmouth’s age has dulled his senses. Alas, he’s not as young as he used to be.

-Natural Stone Hide: “…For ye carry upon thee stone, and bare the weight of grace, despite thy weakness of flesh.” Bashmouth’s back, and portions of his chest, are covered in a keratin-like substance that resembles stone. This armor is highly resistant to physical damage and even small arms fire, but strong enough impacts will expose the flesh underneath.

-Survivalism: “…I shall be thy salvation: For in these things of the world, you will learn to tame and make thine own.” Kevin’s innate survival instinct is increased as Bashmouth. He becomes an expert trap maker and hunter, able to make use of his environment quickly and efficiently against his enemies.

-Nanotech Armor and Teeth: “Beware of those fiends beyond you: For with them are lies and ways thy are not meant for.” Bashmouth’s forearm muscles and gums have been injected with a nanomachine compound which transforms into metal armor at will. Though tougher than his natural armor, it poisons him the longer it is active.

Physical Description: Tor-Mago has lived as well as any Lykosian, and he has the scars to prove it. His head is triangular, with a heavy brow, bagged eyes, and a short, wrinkled snout. His neck is thick and scarred and connects to his heavy upper body. His strong arms are littered with scars and patches of exposed skin. Tor’s waist is a tad puffy, likely owed to his age, and it tapers down into a pair of stocky, digitigrade legs. The entirety of his slightly hunched back is covered in a keratin hide and the same hide covers his upper chest. Tor’s fur covers much of his body aside from his back. His facial fur is grey and grown out into a shaggy looking beard. He wears a faded, dark green tunic with a shawl and hood stitched on, and a pair of loose pants.

Backstory: When our loved one’s lives are on the line, you can be surprised by how willing we are to break for them. For Tor-Mago that meant throwing aside his honor and dignity. A pillar of his community, he defended his tribe’s way of life as a hunter and warrior, giving all in his service to his family and in fealty to the Great Earth Mother. Not even the false promises of the fiends from beyond would break his spirit. But the Great Earth Mother it seemed had a test for her servant. A great plague swept across the planet, one the Lykosians had never seen before. Terrible in its afflictions, the illness took first his wife, then it came for his sons. This was an enemy he could not fight, and it seemed even his Creator had forsaken him. It was in his darkest hour that an agent of those beyond came to him with a promise: Serve their warlord, and a cure would be developed for his people.

With great shame, Tor-Mago accepted the offer. He was whisked away from Lykos and sent across the galaxy as an enforcer. He killed, intimidated, hunted, all for the sake of those he held so dear. His benefactors kept their promise and provided a cure, and after a month of service he was allowed to return home.

But he would not. How could he? He had betrayed his Creator, shamed his sons, threw away his convictions. Tor-Mago could not face the shame, nor look upon his sons’ faces, for he knew they would see only a sinner. Unable to face the guilt, he fled back to the cruel service of his warlord and continued his dark work for twenty years, passing from employer to employer until he finally met his hand at the end of the most feared conqueror in the galaxy…

Personality: Tor-Mago is one who wears his guilt plainly for all to see. He is a melancholic, depressed individual, carrying the burden of his sin and self-hatred. He once considered loyalty and duty to be his greatest virtues, but the actions he took to save his people have made him doubt his faith in them. Even still, his convictions keep him from abandoning them all together.

Influence on Kevin: Kevin’s mood becomes guilty and melancholic while transformed into Bashmouth.

Trivia:

-Chocolate is poisonous to Bashmouth, though not as dangerous as it is to terrestrial dogs.
