Do you have a Mermaid AU and if you do, would you like to tell me what this is about? (Apart from... you know... the bnha cast being mermaids).
I do!
For this AU, it’s only Izuku and his family that are merfolk! The premise is that when quirks first showed up and people were being hunted down and either thrown in jail or even killed for being in possession of one, a handful of people with aquatic-based quirks ran to the ocean to hide, and never left. Two hundred years later, these person are known as “Merfolk”. Most live in the depths of the oceans and had little or no contact with “landwalkers”. There are even stories they tell their young to scare them away from the land and it’s occupants! (Horror stories from the dawn of quirks, but they don’t know that specific detail)
It starts off with Toshinori finding a young mer Izuku in the filthy waters of Dagobah beach. At first Toshinori is worried because there is a small kid swimming alone? In a dumpster turned beach and the water absolutely freezing?
So he tries to question the boy and see if he needs help, but up to this point Izuku has never seen a person up close so he ends up bolting when this huge beef cake of one starts getting near.
Toshinori assumes the boy would go home after that, but curiosity drives him back to the beach a few days later, where he sees the boy once again.
From there, Toshinori tries to slowly gain Izuku’s trust  (which only takes about a week before Izuku’s own curiosity and loneliness gets the better of him) And that’s when Toshinori learns that 1. Izuku is a full mer 2. Izuku doesn’t visit these waters, he lives here
And then Toshinori wonders
Where is this boy’s parents?

hey hey do you mayhaps have any fic recs for fics where we can see more of the details of the hero society? idk how to explain it but something like razzmatazz by xylophones length of the fic or ships or the rating don't really matter to me. its just really interesting to see peoples takes on the functioning of the hero society. and also if the premise of two fics feels similar that's fine rec both of them, just any recs you have on this would be great!
- 🍀
Worldbuilding of Hero Society? Quirk Science? You mean my favorite brands of fic ever? ON IT, BOSS!
Switchblade- I will rec this a thousand times and a thousand times more. goes a lot into the details of underground heroes, the MLA and the beginning of quirk rights, the underworld in general, and so many other cool things. Izuku gets kidnapped for one week and has no memory of the whole week. The fic is about piercing together the events that happened to him through cryptic dreams and the actions of those around him while balancing a good school/work life. Also includes some fun perks like early Bakugou apology/redemption, Ojirou and Shouji friendship, and so many other fun cryptic things like snowglobes, slime mold, and shapeshifting.
Know you can be a Hero (Cause we've seen you do it)- Izuku vounteers at a quirkless clinic. It goes into some worldbuilding with quirkless folks. Its not particularly my cup of tea because I prefer a more nuanced recognition of quirkless folks, but I personally still enjoyed it and the cute "omakes." Plus, the Dadzawa and Dadmight is adorable.
Sum of All (And by them driven)- Gonna be honest- I haven't actually read this all the way through, but it was recced to me by a dear friend and I trust their judgement. It's an AU but includes a lot of worldbuilding that strikes my fancy.
An education in Interruption- I consider this required reading (along with "Learning Curve") for anyone looking to get into worldbuilding surrounding quirks, and also anyone looking for creative fic recs! It's a self insert where you're a teacher at a school for kids with "villainous" quirks, or quirks that can cause disasters if left unchecked. It has a very good outlook on society in general, specifically for those who might not be considered lucky in the way of quirks and how they think of certain things. It's really cool! (there's also a character sheet you may need to reference from time to time)
Let's finish what we've started- It's Debilitation Quirkless Disorder awareness day, where people from all over social media share their stories and experiences struggling with DQD. Social Media fic
Debilitating Quirk Disorder (DQD)- A blanket term to encompass an assortment of unique genetic anomalies that arose soon after the dawn of quirks. This condition is easily summarized as when a person’s quirk, quirk functions, or quirk side-effects are overtly harmful to the owner.
In the Shade of a Sunflower- I'm not sure if it's really ok to rec my own fics in these types of posts, but I will anyway! Its a collection of short stories featuring Izuku experiencing Just Quirkless Things(tm) like Appendicitis, getting your wisdom teeth out, and eating hot peppers without dying.
See it all in Bloom- Obviously I have recced this before, but I really can't get enough of it. The hopefulness of society as a whole makes me very happy, so I reread it often. Oneshot collection featuring class 1-A ten years after graduation.
Learning Curve- The second part of your required reading for this subject. Bounces back between a lesson Aizawa gave in class about the basics of quirk science and what humans as a whole know about it, and seeing the lesson put into action when they're kidnapped by scientists wanting to study their quirks. Includes some great Dadzawa moments. In particular I really like the way the POV changes and how it's written in general. Written by @pocketramblr so you know this shit is good.
I also have a few more recs in my fic collection on AO3 if you want to dig through more options.
Remember to leave a comment on all of these nice fics! The authors worked really hard to prepare them for you, so remember to say thank you!

further Pandon't archive filing - what are your favourite kinds of aus? what kinds of fics do you look for?
Ooh okay so. I usually only read crackfics and angst, but heavy angst and dark fics are definitely my favorites.
In the bnha fandom specifically my favorite tags/tropes are dfo, villain izuku, traitor [insert anyone in class 1a], dadmight, roleswap, and bad end.
Anything with family or relationship drama is VERY good, especially if said family or relationship drama occurs across the dividing line of protagonist and antagonist. Friends to enemies and lovers to enemies are also great, especially if there's lingering feelings of affection between the two that they feel they need to overcome/come to terms with.
Stories that are fatalistic or existential really pique my interest, especially if the protagonist has to grapple with either or both concepts. The realization that nothing is okay and never will be okay as well as the immidiate fallout of said realization are always very fun in literature.
Corruption arcs are my absolute bread and butter, I'd live and die for them. Hero to villain, loss of faith, and grapling with urges/instincts beyond one's control are very good. Bonus points if there's psychological horror involved.
Transition from one state of being to another is another favorite, especially if said transformation is an ascension to godhood or sudden acquisition of power. It's very fun to see characters forced to wield responsibility they aren't qualified for, especially when they didn’t ask for it. Bonus points if the person who gave them the power wants them to use it in a way they don't personally approve of.
Body horror is also really good, especially if it's got some psychological elements for flavor. Existential horror is also pretty fun because of the dread that usually comes along with it. All three together and I'm never putting the fic down.
Obsession is a very fun theme to play around with, as are control and order vs chaos. Any narrative that strips control from a character and forces them to live with it until they snap and turn the tables is a lot of fun! Free will is basically the same thing, but fics that play around with it absolutely own me.
The child soldier trope is also a personal favorite of mine, especially when it makes a protagonist jaded or causes them to lose faith in a system they previously revered and trusted. Blind faith is also nice in the case that it results in a divide between those who approve and disapprove. Fics that actually explore these aspects of the trope are top notch in my book.
Deception is great, especially if the person being deceived forms a strong connection to the deceiver. I want big, dramatic fallout! Guilt or a disturbing lack thereof! Regret!
Gray morality is also amazing, I don't think any story should ever have a clear, unquestionable right and wrong side. I love it when the lesser of two evils still does very evil things but under the guise of the greater good. The protagonist can either recognize these faults and fight to change them, or resign themselves in support at the expense of their moral fiber. Both are good.
My favorite kind of romantic fics have like. Really fucked up romances. Lots of conflict, be it via subtle manipulation and power imbalances, unhealthy codependency, mutual hatred that is only slightly overpowered by love, one-sided interest that is used by the uniterested party, or star-crossed lovers who meet a tragic end in some form. Fluffy romances are the only way to go irl, but I'm reading to be entertained. It's gotta have drama.
Speaking of which, manipulation in general is very fun! Love me some mind games and strategic ploys! Self destructive characters are also really good, love it when fics give someone a problem and have them destroy themselves over it, whether intentionally or subconsciously.
Anyways that was a lot, and don't get me wrong, there's even more, but I'm gonna stop now to spare you the extra word count.

BNHA Fics I really like
Btw, the ones with a ⭐ are my favorites
journey to the past
https://archiveofourown.org/works/15046934
Izuku is five years old the first time he's saved by heroes. He's an instant fan of the woman in pink with her cheerful smile and the man with his ice powers and fine-boned features, even if they both refuse to tell him their names.
For most of his life, Izuku has been the centre of villain attacks, but he has never been injured. Every time, he's saved by bright, unknown heroes—heroes who smile at Izuku, and ruffle his hair or ply him with hugs, and seem mesmerised by how small he is.
Heroes that the rest of the world doesn't believe exists.
Opinion: Honestly, it’s really pure and heartwarming with a side of angst. Seeing a young Izuku fanboy is adorable and from what I remember it's pretty well written. I honestly really love this one.
Lies in the guise of truth
https://archiveofourown.org/works/15124007/chapters/35067359
All Might is the world's #1 hero, the symbol of peace, the pillar that the world knows they can stand on. He dominates every room he's in, from press conferences to his Hero Agency.
It's pretty easy for everyone to overlook Yagi Toshinori, All Might's 'quirkless secretary'. But he's still there.
Opinion: I really love Dadmight. Like I really love Dadmight so I may be a bit bias. It diverts a bit from canon, but I was alright with that. It’s wholesome, cute, and Toshi deserves some love
I Would Understand  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/12729852
Shinsou Hitoshi had a bit of a problem, and that problem was that he’d gotten attached to Aizawa Shouta. And somewhere along the line had started seeing him as a parental figure, a replacement for all the foster home parents who’d passed him along and never quite done their job.
A kid who's been in foster care his entire life spends a normal, average day after training with the teacher who seems to care a little too much.
Opinion: I have found myself revisiting this fic thrice already lol. Honestly, the first chapter is my favorite and well written--as are the other chapters. I love the melodic and somber atmosphere of some of the scenes and it really feels so sweet but hits me in the feels. The EraserMic in here is beautiful and great Dadzawa.
Ghosts of Flowers
https://archiveofourown.org/works/19851709
Shigaraki gets the chance to carefully sift through the pieces of his recovered memories and tries to hold them close.
There is something that bothers him a bit though: Hana seems—oddly familiar.
It’s not until he’s reviewing the U.A. training exercise footage their mole got them that he realizes it.
The Yaoyorozu heiress, with her long, dark hair, her elegant eyes, and her confident smile, she looks just like—
But she can’t be Hana.
Opinion: I love this one a whole lot. The concept is interesting and executed really well. I really love the characterization of the characters and you get some great internal dialogue and inside thoughts. While I do think the story goes a bit fast, I really enjoyed and understand there’s a lot to tell in ten chapters.
Not a Spare Part
https://archiveofourown.org/works/18974530/chapters/45052543
In one universe, Tony Stark closed his eyes to a world where Superheroes were a rarity.
In another universe, Tony Stark opens his eyes to a world where Superheroes are the norm.
(An AU where after the events of Endgame, Tony Stark finds himself inhabiting the body of a young quirkless boy named Midoriya Izuku and figures out that the world could use... another Iron Man)
------- Basically, Izuku becomes Iron Man.
Opinion: I really like this fic. Tony is giving Izuku the confidence he needs and makes some new friends and builds old ones.
Reconfigure  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/16893972
It's been years since the League of Villains was disbanded. Out on parole and stuck in therapy, Tomura Shigaraki is coasting through life. While he's no longer a villain, he's not exactly a productive member of society either. When an awkward past fling shows up, he's met with a shock: a 3-month-old baby girl. Turns out motherhood is hard when you're a serial killer. Suddenly saddled with the responsibility of a child, Shigaraki has a choice: keep his life the boring way it is or become a father for his kid he didn't know he had.
He knows nothing about being a good parent (and neither does the recently paroled Dabi/Touya Todoroki), but help comes in the most surprising of forms, specifically pro hero Uravity. All Ochako Uraraka wants to do is be a hero, so when she stumbles across the former villain with a baby, she can't help but worry. With Shigaraki clueless, Uraraka decides to do her best to help. What starts out as a chance meeting between two old enemies turns into something else as they find themselves in a strange predicament and more people get involved. They say it takes a village to raise a child. Sometimes, it's a handful of mostly reformed villains and the heroes they tried to kill when they were teens.
Opinion: Alright, before you dismiss this one, hear me out:  Tomura/Ochako really works in this fic. This fic has become one of my favorites because of how its written, characterization, and Tomura’s child--because I’m a sucker for wholesome parent and child content. I honestly really love this fic and had a lot of emotions throughout.
Something Still Remains  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/22737019
“Are you Shouta?” the shadow-man asks, and his tone is polite but there’s something verging on almost desperate behind it.
Shouta considers. He’s unarmed, facing an unknown person who knows his home address and his first name, he hasn’t slept in thirty-six hours, and he’s wearing kitten-patterned pajama pants. Despite all of that, he’s still confident in his ability to handle himself in a fight, but nothing about this situation is making sense, and it’s sending him slightly off-kilter.
Starting with how the shadow man knows his name.
“Maybe,” he says, after his silence has dragged on a beat too long. “Who’s asking.”
Opinion: It’s a one-shot, but a heckin good one at that. The tone of this fic is so gentle and quiet. Also, Kurogiri characterization is great. I’m absolutely craving more.
How to kidnap an underground hero and an UA General Studies student- A guide by Present Mic
https://archiveofourown.org/works/23068645/chapters/55178836
Hizashi knew what the villains were planning, he was one of them after all. But they wouldn’t hurt what was his and the plan was rather simple. Really.
Step 1: Convince them that it is just going to be a family holiday and that they desperately need a bit of a break
Step 2: Get Shinsou to take quirk suppressants, make him believe it’s a good thing and that it would help him, tell him that they would wear off on their own, not that they do
Step 3: Put the pills into tea, not coffee, the latter could cause health problems
Opinion: I have so many feelings about this. Like way too many. It’s not finished, but I need more. Erasermic, Shinsou, and Eri, and literally everything I love
it's a chatfic, but with villains
https://archiveofourown.org/works/11777448/chapters/26554635
DABnation added NotDeadpool, Ketchup, Magic Mike, BIG MEATY, MoonMoon, FidgetSpinnerPro, MAGNIFICENT, and Loan Snake to the group.
Stab Lick Delicious:Why is Kurogiri crying DABnation: i think DABnation: he realized he made a mistake
Opinion: It’s been a while since I’ve read and it’s unfinished, but I remember having a really fun time reading this and having quite a few laughs.
Karma in Retrograde
https://archiveofourown.org/works/14924609/chapters/34574417
When Dabi is struck by a de-aging quirk that regresses him to the most influential part of his life, he finds himself turned back into a sixteen-year-old U.A. General Studies student with lots of self-esteem issues, parent problems, a destructive quirk that he can't manage, and no memory of the years that he's lost - not to mention the fact that his little brother is now the same age as him and one of the top students in the U.A. hero course. In U.A.'s attempt to make up for what they missed and help the Dabi of the past, present, and future, he is placed with the only students that know him and have yet to find out what truly makes the difference between a hero and a villain. There, they must face the question of whether he can change or his destiny is already set in stone.
Opinion: I really like this fic. I really love young Dabi. It’s been a while since I’ve read, but I really love this one.
komorebi  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/16717599/chapters/39209133
The change can't be immediate, or it’ll seem forced. It has to take time, in order to be realistic. He knows that.
He’ll need to seem like a villain. But he’ll be a hero.
And for that, Hitoshi thinks he’d do just about anything.
Or,
Someone's selling UA's secrets, and Shinsou Hitoshi definitely doesn't have anything to prove.
Opinion: If you haven’t noticed, I really like Dadzawa. This one is super interesting, written really good, and I love the characterization of Shinsou. Like some chapters had me rioting I thought they were so good. I love the alternating moods ins scenes and I feel that I can really feel the atmosphere--if that makes sense lol.
Mendacium  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/21297146/chapters/50713442
"Why are you doing this?" Shouta couldn't help but ask. Really, this kid couldn't be much older than his class, and he was already out his risking his life to fight... and was good at it. That was the worst part of all, that a child would act like an experienced soldier in the face of danger. "If you stop now, I won't report you. You can just go on home to your family, and maybe try to be a hero-"
A laugh cut him off, but it was more sad than condescending. "Mr. Trash Bag, I'm doing all I can to get home. But like hell I'll be a hero. I've been used by the government too much." A slight European accent colored his words, and his Japanese was a little hesitant, but the determination was clear. "I have to admit, though, your quirk is really awesome. The ability to stop others' energies... remarkable."
The boy tensed, and Shouta activated his quirk on reflex.
"Too bad it doesn't work on me, then. Can't erase what you don't have, after all!"
OR: Edward didn't want to help Truth. He didn't want to go to a different world to defeat yet another Father. He didn't want to become a vigilante there.
He also wanted his brother back. The choice was obvious, even if Truth is a massive asshole.
Opinion: 10/10. Superb. Love our short funky blond alchemist. There’s ling chapters, great Edward Elric, and it had me rolling a few times with laughter. I thoroughly love this fic.
Demons of the Past  ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/17642501/chapters/41601551
For Enji Todoroki, hero name Endeavor, reconciling with the past is easier said than done. Even more so when a dead son comes back to haunt him.
Opinion: I had this before BUT HEAR ME OUT! This fic is absolutely amazing. I was blown away with the characterization of Enji and I know so many people hate him-- I included--but I think his perspective is interesting. The high emotional scenes really had me feeling. Honestly, give this fic a try and you’ll see what I mean.
Black Cat Cafe  ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/15442725/chapters/35844969
Aizawa Shota was a man tired of life, bitter and jaded from the endless horrors of the world. Six years ago, he disappeared, his existence erased.
Redeye is a stoic man with a mysterious past, who runs a tight shop, cares for his young ward with his whole heart, and makes a flawless cup of coffee.
He also has an unabashed fondness for stray cats.
(Otherwise known as a bitter Aizawa makes café Switzerland, adopts twenty hero-in-training children, some villains, and Shinsou, and then kicks All for One’s ass into next week. And maybe falls in love.)
Opinion: This is the one bois. I think this is my favorite bnha fic. The concept, the characterization, the PINING. I am absolutely in the with this story and the author.
Sure As the Setting Sun  ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
https://archiveofourown.org/works/12111294/chapters/27462717
Mob never aimed to be a hero, despite being an apprentice to one. He only wanted to make sure his quirk never hurt anyone ever again. However, an incident that occurs in his third year of middle school spurs him into action despite his wishes. Mob enters into UA academy, the top heroics school in all of Japan, and winds up with several new friends and much more trouble than he bargained for.
Opinion: It hasn’t been updated for a while, but seeing my two favorite cinnamon rolls together melts my heart. Mob is in the hero course but has the moral dilemma of fighting, and honestly, it is so interesting to see how it’s handled.
_________
Well, I hope you enjoyed the list. I really tried not to star everything (I like them all!). I’m probably going to make more for different fandoms and more in-depth tbh. I had a lot of fun doing this! If anyone has any fic recommendations for, please don’t feel shy to send me some! I love talking about writing!

The Mystery of Student No. 18 by cloud_nine_and_three_quarters
Status: Complete
Rated: G
Word Count: 85K
Summary: “Getting crushed by falling building whilst shielding a little girl wasn't the worst way to die. Only, Midoriya's not quite dead yet. He still has so much to prove - to do - to finish! All Might gave him his power, but now look at him... how is Midoriya meant to be the next symbol of peace if he's stuck in a coma?!Meanwhile, his future classmates are left to wonder... Who is student 18? And where is he now?”
Absolutely ADORABLE. At least, I think so. Izuku gets to know his friends but they don’t know him and that’s kinda sad but then it turns out great!
remember from here on in by aloneintherain
Status: Complete
Rated: T
Word Count: 8K
Summary: ““You’re …” Aizawa begins.“I’m All Might’s successor.” Midoriya’s proud but shaky voice rings clearly down the empty corridor.Aizawa finds out about One for All.”
Gotta say I can’t remember this one super clearly but I remember that I loved it. This is the fic that sent me into a spiral of trying to find fics where Aizawa or class 1-A finds out about OFA.
Ne Plus Ultra by ItsClydeBitches
Staus: Dead Probably but there’s still a lot of content
Rated: T
Word Count: 113K
Summary: “They say it takes a village to raise a child. The whole of class 1-A is just going to have to settle for Yagi and Aizawa.
(A drabble collection focusing on the in-between moments of BNHA)”
Basically 1A being a family with solid amounts of Dadzawa and DadMight.
The Many Roasts of Endeavor by Sapphiria
Status: In Progress (Been a couple months though)
Ships: Midoriya/Todoroki
Rated: N/A
Word Count: 34K
Works: 13
Summary: “ Endeavor is the worst, and Izuku Midoriya wants the world to know that. This sassy, savage cinnamon roll won't rest until the evil has been defeated. Luckily, the rest of the world is on his side for his epic mission, including Endeavor's own family. “
A fabulous series where Izuku just WRECKS Endeavor. I love it dearly cause each work (which are each basically oneshots) has its own little thing that makes it fabulous and memorable.
look at us now by dreamtowns
Status: Complete
Ships: Aizawa/Yamada, Midoriya/Shinsou, Jirou/Yaoyorozu,
Rated: G
Word Count: 4K
Summary: “
The next switch happens during English in the following days. One moment, sixteen-year-old Yaoyorozu is dutifully reciting a passage for the class, and then Momo is there, dressed in a stylish pantsuit and holding a stack of papers, reaching for a phone that isn’t there as her eyes scan the meeting discussion points. Her hand smacks against Shinsou’s arm.
“Ow,” says Shinsou, more out of reflex than any actual pain.
Momo drops the papers. “Not now—I have a meeting in five minutes!”
On a mission, ten or so years into the future, a few members of Class A arrest a villain with a time travel quirk. They switch places with their younger selves one at a time.
It is very inconvenient.”
Basically one at a time the class is temporarily switched with their older selves and honestly? it’s really cute. Especially since sometimes they’re in the middle of doing something and BAM! they’re back in highschool.
breathing room by achievingelysium
Status: Complete
Rated: T
Word Count: 8K
Summary: “
“Am I,” Aizawa-sensei began, “hurting you?”
Izuku didn’t know if it counted. In. Out.
“No,” the word came out in a whisper. Then, even quieter, “yes.”
A tight encounter with a news reSporter leaves Izuku struggling to catch his breath.”
Kind of a whump??? Izuku needs to learn to ask for help.
Stray Bullet [REMASTERED] by AnonymousTwit
Status: Complete
Rated: G
Word Count: 13K
Summary: “[REMASTERED]
Pushing through the crowd of students, the first thing he noticed was blood on the table. As he grew closer, he caught a small glimpse of Midoriya, his shoulders shaking so violently that they could cause an earthquake and eyes carrying so many emotions that it was absolutely dizzying.
Or In which there's a sniper attack at U.A. and Bakugou decides to do something selfless for once.”
Katsuki is smart, saves a couple lives, and generates ANGST. Though this is a pretty short, so the angst doesn’t last long.
Kaleidoscope by Local_Raccoon
Status: Complete
Rated: G
Word Count: 13K
Summary: “Kaminari and Ashido stumble upon the sordid truth behind Midoriya's legendary disastrous fashion sense –and why he likes those horrid red sneakers so much- purely on accident.
Or, a Midoriya-is-color-blind AU that nobody asked for.”
Kinda gives a reason for Izuku having his iconic red sneakers. Pretty wholesome. 10/10 would rec again.

A BNHA Fantasy!AU loosely based on BBC’s Merlin that nobody asked for but got anyway Part 1
Lately, I’ve been getting back into Merlin, and after seeing a lot of fanart for the bnha fantasy au on my dashboard, my brain naturally decided to combine the two concepts, and once my brain gets going on an idea it doesn’t stop until I’ve filled up 10 pages worth of notes on it. So, I’ve decided to divide this into multiple parts in order to maintain my own sanity. I guess there are some spoilers for Merlin so be warned. Enjoy.
Edit: Part 2 is here guys, check it out!
Izuku (Merlin)
Has always wanted to become a knight but can’t because a) he isn’t nobility and b) he has magic, which is outlawed in the kingdom of Camelot
After saving Prince Shouto’s life, King Endeavor rewards him by making him the prince’s manservant
He later finds out that his destiny is to protect and serve the Once and Future King, Prince Shouto, and to always be by his side. Izuku is more than willing to protect the prince, but he’s very apprehensive towards being his manservant at first not only because of his magic but because he thinks the prince doesn’t like him (which isn’t true, the prince is just learning how to deal with having a crush awkward)
He lives with the court physician, Chiyo (Recovery Girl)
For some reason, the druids refer to him by a different name, “Deku”
He’s a magic nerd and will fanboy over every mythical creature/artifact/spellbook he encounters. He has a lot of magic but has no idea how to control it and often times hurts himself trying to use it
He became a brilliant tactician after many years of studying to become a knight when he was younger. He’s so good that often times Prince Shouto will turn to Izuku to discuss strategy
A literal ray of sunshine. Is friends with literally everyone
A very clumsy servant who’s not good at his job but he’s trying his best
Prince Shouto (Arthur)
The Crown Prince of Camelot
Doesn’t agree with how his father rules most of the time(big surprise)
Pressured into being the perfect prince and receives a lot of harsh criticism from his father
His ‘scar’ is actually something he’s had since birth. It’s proof that he was born with the help of magic
Feels indifferent towards magic
At first, he’s very distant with almost everyone in court, but after getting to know Izuku, he starts warming up
Suspects that there's more to Izuku but is completely oblivious to his magic
Has a huge crush and has no idea what to do about it
Hates being given special treatment for being royalty, he would rather be treated normally
Just a teeny bit naive and sheltered
All Might (The Great Dragon)
He is believed to be the sole surviving dragon after King Endeavor started the Magic Wars
He managed to escape capture but was hurt very badly in the process
Has a grudge against King Endeavor but not the kingdom of Camelot
Watches over and guides Izuku
Basically Dragon!DadMight
Tired(TM)
“My boy, your destiny is to protect Prince Shoto, but that doesn’t mean you have to be a self-sacrificing idiot”
Tries to be helpful but most of the time his advice is cryptic and vague
So I kinda divided Morgana’s character into two parts, just a heads up. Trust me, it’ll make sense.
Lord Touya (Mordred/Evil Morgana)
Is one of King Endeavor’s wards
King Endeavor’s secret love child
No matter how much he denies it, he is constantly searching for King Endeavor’s attention and approval
At first, he has a very weird relationship with Shouto. On one hand they both understand what it’s like having an asshole as your father guardian, but on the other hand, he’s jealous of Shouto because from Touya’s perspective, Shouto is always getting praise and attention from the King without much effort
Like Izuku, he was born with powerful magic
Izuku finds out but promises to keep it secret (he doesn’t reveal his own magic). Touya is warry of Izuku but decided to trust him.
King Endeavor eventually finds out about Touya’s magic and decides to burn him to the stake. Touya believes that Izuku ratted him out, so he refuses when Izuku tries to help him escape. The day of his execution Touya gets severely burned but is ultimately saved by a cult of evil sorcerers
The reason they saved him is because he is destined to oppose Prince Shouto and some believe that this means magic will be free
Shortly after being saved, he learns that King Endeavor is his father. From then on he goes by Dabi because he refuses to go by the name that his father gave him
Lady Yaomomo (Good Morgana)
Like Touya, she is the ward of King Endeavor.
She isn’t related to King Endeavor in any way, she’s just the orphan daughter of a noble family who was close to the King
Is one of the few people that Prince Shouto was close to before meeting Izuku. He often turns to her for advice (especially if it's about his cute servant)
She is very kind to everyone regardless of status
Is a very skilled warrior
The living embodiment of “Ladies don’t start fights, but they can finish them”
She becomes Camelot’s first ever female knight when Shouto becomes King
Ochaco (Gwen)
She is one of Lady Yaomomo’s serving-girls/maids along with Tsuyu and Jirou
Izuku’s first friend in Camelot
They often end up doing chores together
She accidentally found out about Izuku’s magic after he healed her father’s illness
She helps cover for Izuku when he gets into trouble and/or is doing something magical
That’s it for now. I have way more but and I might end up adding things in the future. Part 2 will come eventually but for now, I’m pretty beat. Let me know what you think and feel free to send suggestions. Thank you!
