The drive back to the cave was tense. Patrol had been particularly difficult, the boys had started bickering, and now everyone was pointedly ignoring everyone else.  As the song started, Bruce found himself tapping his foot and nodding along to the music. Just as he expected, the song drew the focus of the three boys. Jason tried desperately to look unmoved, but he was already starting to nod along to the beat. Tim was tapping his foot, trying to pass it off as a nervous stim, while looking out the window. As the first verse started, Dick began to quietly sing along. “You've had a rough week, a rough month, it seems like nothing goes your way now~ You need some music, a good song, that makes you forget all the trouble~” He sang, swaying to the beat. “So put your headphones on, and c'mon, let's sing along!” Tim and Jason chimed in.  As the chorus kicked in, all four began to headbang to the beat. Smiles filled all their faces, and the mood had finally brightened, as Bruce knew it would. Music was a magical thing. Somehow, it always found a way to help people out in their times of need. Bruce smiled as he watched his three sons sing along, headbanging, and attempting a mini mosh pit in the backseat. Sure, not every moment would be peace and love and joy, but moments like this made all the bad times worth it.
