Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful!!! Pokemon Colosseum, much like its portable brethren, knew how to have a bangin soundtrack. How bangin? The main villain team for this outing is Team Cipher. Instead of calling their lowest ranked members “grunts” like every other villain team, they call them “peons” which is ten times as demeaning a term. They also look absolutely ridiculous with absolutely ridiculous names like Skrub and Arton and unlike Team Skull and Team Yell in later games, they’re supposed to be a serious threat. Yet with this song blasting, every time you pick a fight with them, they are suddenly one hundred times cooler and more formidable than any team that came before or after (well, at least before). That base line, that electric guitar, that violin that gives me secret agent vibes. Ooooh, it gives me all the goose pimples. Seriously, the Orre games have some stellar music. Maybe I will divulge more another time but this battle theme is wonderful enough for now. P.S. I could only find a link for the 30 minute version. Just thought I'd let people know.

Would I play Golden Sun if it got remade? For now, it's being re-released for Switch and while this music's a pure banger, I do remember fights being a bit repetitive (even if super customizable with the djinn system), and I can't remember loving the story either (though I remember that the sequel having another point of view on the events was interesting), so I'll pass for now ~

Normally I wouldn't write a lot about just another track but this one kinda requires some context:

Anyways, do to circumstances I had more time than planned this day, and i thought why not finally finish some of the tracks that I started a year or more ago but procrastinated and delayed so much that its kinda sad.

So this was one of them - originally planed for the whole Crona vs Kim fight - the whole concept was to make it a homage to a certain Death Grips track, cause it fitted the edgy vibe and energy of the whole thing perfectly.

But then came the reason I partly delayed it so much - to actually do it and make it not suck was too hard - especiallly with how disorganised I left all the recorded tracks, not even having a basic melody or structure beyond a vague sense of what I'll gonna copy...

So in the end I justt kinda did a shit job, cause I'm a reverse-perfectionst: I rather have something bad oout then nothing lol. So...Yeah...Sorry

A banal question - who is your favorite intoner and which intoner theme song is the best

Favorite intoner? Mmm, I'd say it's either Two or One.

Two because her character is a genuine breath of fresh air from the usual bleakness of Yoko Taro characters/universes. She cares for the people around her, rescuing the orphans and powering up her soldiers to protect her people, but because it's a YT game, that very love ends blowing up in her face. Not thinking about the long term consequences of using an intoner's song on people was a lack of foresight on her and Cents's part (but especially Cents's, since his whole shtick is an idiot trying to pretend to be intelligent). Despite all her goodwill, Two doomed pretty much everyone around her and being forced to kill the very orphans she rescued breaks her.

One because I love the way she's the only one to ever figure out Zero's plans (kill the intoners and then herself to get rid of the flower, since leaving it free will bring about the end of the world)... and yet, refuses to collaborate and die. She seeks to outplay Zero, even coming up with the idea of birthing another intoner (Brone) as back up, just like how the flower birthed the intoners to protect itself from death. Because of her ingenuity, she definitely deserves her place as the final boss in some of the routes (as well as her being the last, and thus the strongest, sister to defeat). I think it's a shame we never got more info regarding her and Gabriella and what led to the latter's transformation into Gabriel, but I think the lack of development is a critic that can be applied to all the DOD3 cast (even post DLC).

Favorite intoner theme? Ooo that's an evil question, they're all phenomenal.

I'm gonna with my bias and say Five's theme (Phanuel's and Galgaliel's) since it's the first battle theme and the most memorable to me. Phanuel's theme is the first time that the game/Keiichi Okabe slapped me with that dynamic music and I swear the transition from Five's scream into the boss battle theme has forever rewired my brain. Plus, the theme goes hard. I'm not a fan of dubstep, but the use of it in Phanuel's boss theme was fucking cool and an amazing break from the guitar/rock feel of the song as well as a sharp contrast to the choir in the bg.

(After that, it's also a toss up between Two phase 2 - Raphael, and Four phase 2 - Zolphiel. I'm also partial to One phase 2 - Abdiel)
