I finally got around to watching Batman Ninja and... OH MY GOODNESS, it was hilarious, ridiculous, over the top, epic, awesome, with exquisite artwork to look at... Just pure fun - perfect for a goofball who doesn’t take things too seriously. And the Japanese voice acting was great. Wataru Tagaki’s Joker especially was just magnificent! And the character himself... Flamboyant and flirty as ever <3 No matter the time or place, he always loves his Batsy :3

hey did I tell y'all about that time I mentioned Batman to my Japanese friend and he had no idea what I was saying until I said it with a Japanese pronunciation (battoman) and he was so shocked at the English pronunciation that he called over his other friends to hear me say it

Anyone can use it

 If Superman came to Earth during feudal japan and adopted by a Shogun and his wife, who believed that the Gods answered their Clan’s prayers, given the name Nozomu Sora

Superman’s adoptive father (Nozomu Hikaru) was a famed demon slayer and defender of humanity as his village praises him as a hero, but the shogun couldn’t tell the difference between a good Yokai and a bad one

Batman (Kōmori Daiki) was the son of a powerful lord and healer, who were killed by hired assassins to kill his clan and parents with him the sole survivor and only his faithful servants to raise him

Daiki and Sora only saw each other once as children during the funeral of the clan as the shogun promised his son that Daiki will be well taken care of

Sora then met Jinsoku Nariko (Lois Lane) when they were students in the way of the sword and fell in love

When Sora was a child, he fell into the river while playing, a mother Kappa saved him from drowning and brought him back to shore, realizing that not all Yokai are evil

Sora soon began to fly as he realized he was not a normal child and his parents tell him the story of his adoption

There they brought him to the comet (escape pod) he was founded in and Sora then was shown by the pod where he came from and what he is, Kal El as he vowed to use his powers to protect his adoptive home and never take a life

The Shogun then died in battle from a rogue army controlling the Yokai and saved his people, making Sora the next Shogun

The Yokai were becoming more and more of a problem as the village was forced to create a magical barrier to prevent evil from entering

Sora never forgot the Kappa that helped him and took them in when their river was captured by demons

Due to Sora great powers and good heart, the people gave him the title Sūpā shogun, or Super Shogun

Nariko became his advisor and wife as she led the Kunoichi task forces

Sora then meet Daiki once more as he became Battoman, Bringer of honor and Justice as he rebuild the Clan by adopting and recruiting others like him with the symbol of the Bat for his clan

They help each other face evil both human and monster as Battoman prepares in the event that Super Shogun ever were to become corrupt himself

They discovered that the massive swarm of Yokai over the years were not natural but were brought here by portal that reappeared and disappear like the wind that someone with magic brought them here

They created weapons not to kill but banish the Yokai from their world

Diana enters Japan and was nearly killed by a weasel demon but was saved by the Super Shogun

He explained to the Amazon about what lurks in Japan, showing beauty and dangers as he brought her to his village

Diana was enamored by the culture, food, the people and was surprised that the women warriors were treated fairly as the men, even more that one of the fiercest ninjas in the village is a woman

Sora reveals his past to Diana and the situation with the demons and tells of his dream of the world being balanced again and that the people will not have to hide within the barriers and can walk freely, a dream where his family can see the ocean just at least once like he had with his father

Diana fell in love with Sora but then realized his was married with a child on the way

Diana researches the portals with the Amazon and was shocked to realize it was not just Japan but all corners of the world, even on the island

Talia Al Ghul seduced Battoman but was revealed that her people and father were trying to take over his clan and she was banished, unaware that she was pregnant with his son

The other Shogun were ordered to attack Atlantis as Arthur (Aquaman) led the charge

He was helped by the Super Shogun and Battoman as Sora demanded answers for this attack

It was revealed that the two men killed the emperor, turned him into a demon to gain power from the one who caused all this as they were demons themselves

Both were banished as Sora was devastated by betrayal and grief as Aquaman agreed to an alliance with the other two

Diana reports in with her findings as they all realized that this was happening all over the world

They soon recruit more heroes like them, Jason Blood, the Demon Knight with his magical young squire William Baston or his title Sir Marvel (Captain Marvel), a goofy Greek philosopher faster than Hermes Alastair Sitári (Flash), A Native American given a green ring from the stars Waban Wolfcall (Green Lantern), a Themiscarian living in the deserts Carter Hall (Hawkman), A Martian living in the North Pole, A French archer that hunts monsters (Green Arrow) Oliver Queen II, a female Viking with a sonic scream Gudrun (Black Canary) and many others

They faced many enemies, Jōkā (Joker), Toiman (Toyman), General Zod, and Alexander Luthor who found Braniac as his robotic knowledge heightened his mind and create clones of the Shogun

A few of the clones and children from Krypton were adopted to the Shogun Yosora (Conner Kent), Sandā (Chris Kent) and others

Kara then comes to Earth and finds her cousin grown up and a beloved leader, deciding to change her name to Hana and become Super Kunoichi, trained under her Cousin’s wife

Wonder Woman and Nariko often spare with one another, becoming friends as Nariko is able to combat Diana’s style of fighting

Nariko gives birth to his twin sons, Rin and Hikaru (Jonathan Lane Kent and Jonathan Samuel Kent)

Donna Troy overthrows Diana’s mother to destroy the men in the world, controlled by the witch with the people creating the portals

The witch was defeated with the true queen saved and Donna arrested

They soon find the source of the monstrous swarms and extremely powerful sorcerers and sorceresses in the world by a cult led by Brother Blood and his master Trigon

Talia set and alliance with the group as she gives Damian to Battoman since he is his father

With the help of the young girl (Raven) they were able to stop the cult and trigon and restore balance to the world

After the battle was over, it was decided to stay uniting, being name the Justice Guardians

Sora finally brought his sons to the ocean as his dream finally came true and knew that the future was in good hands

It’s Star Trek Discovery all over again! I haven’t seen Batman Ninja yet and HELL YES I plan to. Was looking at the IMDB page and this is the first review displayed on the main page... “Since when?” Are you kidding? It never ceases to amaze me how someone not being straight manages to ruin an entire movie for some people :D

Batman Ninja (ニンジャバットマン Ninja Battoman) is an upcoming Japanese animated film directed by Junpei Mizusaki and produced by Warner Bros., which features the DC Comics character Batman. Takashi Okazaki, the creator of Afro Samurai, is the character designer for the film. The first poster was revealed on October 5, 2017, and the trailers were released later on December 1, 2017. The film is set to release on DVD and Blu-ray in 2018.

Batman is transported to Feudal Japan and must battle reimagined versions of his villains alongside his allies. Aiding the Dark Knight are Japanese versions of Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, Robin, Alfred Pennyworth, and Catwoman. Villains confirmed to appear include the Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Deathstroke, and Gorilla Grodd.
