People are talking about which Urasawa work should get adapted for anime after Pluto and I’ve seen talk about either remastering Monster or putting 20th century boys to screen (which I would love) but honestly I would love to see Master Keaton remastered. They could pick different chapters of course, since the original anime was just kind of a grab bag out of order. I just think that it’s a nice series and on a technical level there’s less requirement to commit to a huge number of volumes since you can treat it as an episodic series.

Also it would be really fun if Remaster got adapted.

Pluto Square = internet observations

The World Wide Web was created on 6 August 1991, in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to the astro-databank, Tim Berners-Lee formally introduced his project to the world on the alt.hypertext newsgroup. This date marked the debut of the Web as a publicly available service. I am going with this date as this is the main … thing for … the world wide web lol.

The internet, as we know it, is a largely Aquarian thing, with the dot-com bubble following as Pluto entered Sagittarius. But since we’re talking about Pluto, we’re going to look at the Internet. I think this is the most important example of what happens during a Pluto square. NOW, we have quite some time before Pluto perfects that square. Something that I am noticing about Plutonian energy is that yes, it is intense in nature. Naturally, you will start to feel the more intense things first, right? It’s how we’re beginning to see the effects of Pluto in Aquarius without it not actually being there yet.

Another thing I’m noticing is that pluto – though intense – likes to ease its way into signs. It usually stops in a sign for a few months, then most of the year, then it starts its 20 year path. That’s what I’m seeing with Pluto – we will spend 80% of the year with Pluto in Aquarius.

Except, of course, September 18th and November 18th. You know. During an election year. Very good news.

[I will write about Pluto in Capricorn thoughts later as this is turning into a ramble, but with Pluto relating to power and Capricorn relating to power structures built – this literally manifesting into power in the corporations and money making interests – I think that will be a very interesting look at those last few months during the election. At this point, I have given up on electoral politics entirely, but! I wonder how that last hurrah in Pluto in Capricorn will feel after spending 80% of the year with the Power materializing into the People.]

Back to what I was saying. Pluto will not yet be at 17 degrees Aquarius for some time, but I can already see changes brewing within the internet sphere.

People are exhausted with the social media sites. The draw of them was to help connect with people you knew in a different, more meaningful way – different than the forums, ircs and Bbs of the time. This was back when anonymity was valued, your art getting posted everywhere meant you made it big, AND there was little financial incentive to tie yourself to your online identity.

I will not pretend I understood the original draw of all of the social medias – I can’t even fathom an inference. I mean, it seemed obvious facebook was about sharing memories and making friends, creating groups and talking to people. IG was about sharing pics quick. YouTube was about recording yourself with rudimentary software and Twitter was about talking about what you were up to.

What. The hell. Happened?

As Pluto has been dipping its toe into Aquarius, I have been seeing a lot more complaints about this. I predicted this, but let’s elaborate in a more meaningful way so that you’re able to apply this with you and your friends.

There’s a lot to think about when it comes to the way that we use the internet. I believe it was Summie who said that gifs used to be just gifs, but now they’re all advertisements in some way. Like a Fresh Prince gif used to be a Fresh Prince gif. But now, it’s a Fresh Prince gif along with Paramount+, so you create that mental connection instantly to know where you *could* watch it if for some reason this dancing image of carlton spurred you into that.

Reminds me of when I watched Fresh Prince on TBS and I noticed that everything was so much faster, and then a few years later there was a reddit post about how all syndicated shows on TBS are like, xyz faster to fit in more ads.

Speaking of GIFs, GIFs used to be artful. 256 colors or less, a beautiful dither. We did so much more with so much less, and I think that’s what I’m trying to get at here.

Of course, with time, things change. That’s what Pluto squares kinda examine if we’re looking at it from an as above, so below perspective. But I don’t think it’s ever been this, shitty…

So many apps have hired psychologists to pick the right colors, use the right hand movements to keep us hooked. The algorithms are trended towards whatever the user is most likely to interact with – good or bad. People are being rewarded for spreading misinformation, DISinformation. Almost all socials (idk about tungle) are feeding every bit of UGC into their own personal LLMs to create … chat bots. Connecting any of these accounts shares data between the socials, and enhances each consumer profile to sell to advertisers.

And don’t get me started about this app listening shit.

No, what’s really infuriating is the apps that intentionally get shittier and then force you to pay for shit you already had previously. The ones that are baiting you into feeling miserable. The bird app is unusable because you have to block 10 people a day, mute 5 words, and lock comments in order to get a semblance of peace. Like, why do I want to use an app that does that? Why do I want to feed into this garbage? Why do I want to constantly get trapped into this machine?

I think in 2024, we’re standing on business as far as understanding the types of stimuli we let ourselves engage with. I feel like this square is helping us understand how far we strayed away – and I believe that with the Aquarius aspect, we’re going back to our roots as far as the internet goes. I see reddit being hyped up, and every time I see it it’s because of its forum like aspects. We could just go to a forum.

I go on forums all the time still. I plan on running one in 2024. I can’t STAND discord (which also uses LLMs) … Skype was always horrible too. Voice chatting, hmmm… well we’ll have to think ab this entirely bc of how GenA/I is working with voices… hmmm…

I feel like Streaming will be big. Public Access is coming back – I feel like there’s a lot of Power to the People and Power to the Demagoguery ass shit going on. Independent music (no spotify/apple music), independent videos (youtube, other apps ARE coming out though. Could YouTube be unseated? In 20 years, YES.) Independent creativity. The problem will *seem* to be the lack of funding, but just like I said earlier – we can do so much, with so little.

But Public Access TV shows are coming. If you haven’t started your stream or your YouTube or whatever, you should! Right now!

We’re straying away from algorithm based trends and aspects and we’re rebuilding our muscles into seeking out the things we believe we will like. I’m going to go back on soundcloud and I’m handcrafting my music tastes again, no algorithms.

[Sorry, another rant: there was nothing worse than me listening to a song and thinking I’m the only one in the world listening to it, and then I would hear it on numerous coworkers spotify radios without our accounts ever interacting. Like I couldn’t even bop to the song. As an Aquarius Venus this is so serious to me.]

Another thing is – we’re going back to internet safety. Four years ago, I had a dream that I needed to change my passwords. I changed them all immediately and told all my friends to do so as well. I’m not sure what happened after – I guess I could look it up. But, that restarted my journey into caring about my digital hygiene. I think that’s a big word in 2024. Digital Hygiene.

But, one thing to watch out for? Tech accelerationism. I am not sure why people are so vested into the end of humanity as we know it. Why do people want to transcend humanity when we haven’t even begun to understand the different parts of ourselves yet? I feel like research into humans is still deeply in its infancy to give up on humanity and the earth like this.

I think for my last little piece, one thing I’ve noticed is that when Pluto goes into a Sign, the connotation of the sign changes RADICALLY from what it used to. I saw this in a tweet (I’ll edit this post with the tweet when I find it) where Capricorns used to be seen as broke and miserable but now they’re seen as money makers, methodical, etc.

Aquarius is seen as futuristic, nostalgic, technological. People and the self. In the book I use for most of my correspondences, The Rulership Book by Rex Bills, and Capricorn and Aquarius had the least amount of rulerships. I think it’s because the outers didn’t really touch either of these signs until the late 20th century, so there wasn’t a lot of things to reference besides the inner planet stuff.

Pluto is the last of the outers to complete this most recent Aquarius transit. I feel like during this time, we will be looking at tech accelerationism and pushing future nostalgia to its limits. As I come up with more theories, I’ll let you know, but I’m excited!

also for me i wanted something a little different out of gemfourth. they have the range. but again, i do think theyll do well enough with this? so i'm mostly just being..... idk. :<

GMMTV 2024 part 1

My thoughts on the trailers (from what I can remember and from some dms I shouted to @grapejuicegay two nights ago...and which I also did last year as well - that was interesting to read again!) and in order of preference/excitement about its potential:

Pluto has to be top of my list because not only WOMEN but WOMEN KISSING OTHER WOMEN. I'm a little confused on the story (like most people it seems) but I'm here for a little mystery. I just hope we don't get a repeat of 'one twin being awoken from a coma by the other twin having sex'...or maybe I do.

Of course Ploy's Yearbook is second because, again, WOMEN. But also JIMMY! And Joong and Mond! I don't even mind the 'adopted siblings' thing, because in my mind the adoption is a recent thing and they haven't grown up together (watch me be wrong). Anyway, here for the ladies not for the story.

How could I not put My Precious the Series in third spot with Nanon (and Film)?! Not only are these two adorable together but HOW has Nanon managed to look SO YOUNG here? (At 22 I know he's still young but he looks even younger). I guess the plot is a simple teenage friend group lovestory but I don't care, I'd watch Nanon in just about anything. (Ooo, and Fon [10 Yrs Ticket] is co-directing!)

Whether Peaceful Property is a bl or not I am signed the f up. This trailer was the best to be honest. It was like a refreshing slap in the face and I would have set it top if it hadn't been for The Women and Nanon. Spooky hijinks? Absolutely. Found family? I'm eating that shit up. Jan being kooky? More more! New in a more domineering role than Tay? Yes please. This was basically me:

I'm sort of 80% believing/trusting that Kidnap is a BL, not that that's the only reason I'll be seated for it. No, I'm here for Ohm. Now, I did say that about him last year in Double Savage and then I couldn't get past ep 3 (even though I had said I couldn't wait to see him in something heavy and dramatic...the intergenerational trauma was just too much for me) but I have high hopes for this one. And I'm intrigued as to why they've put such a newbie (Leng) opposite such an experienced actor (and someone SO experienced with bl series), so I'm thinking they will either use that difference in the plot, OR they know Leng is just That Good, OR he's a 'placeholder' for another actor who will be recast in the role. We'll see if I'm right. (Also, it's directed by Noom [Midnight Museum]...)

What's not to love about The Trainee? (apart from the fact that we haven't even had Cooking Crush yet so how am I supposed to get excited over another Gun/Off show?!?). At first I was a little disappointed to see that GMMTV was doing a My Love Mix-Up! remake, even with Fourth and Gemini (whom I love) and Au directing (MSP and BBS), because I would have preferred to see them in something new, maybe something meatier (having seen what they could do in Moonlight Chicken), but I guess I don't mind. It will be interesting to see how Thailand approaches this story and if they can do the nuance of the exploration of sexuality as well as the original.

I'm excited for Wandee Goodday mainly to see Great again but Inn also looks good. This is an interesting pairing, and I love some of the side characters. The main reason it's not higher up the list is because I'm not a fan of boxing, but I'm definitely here for the friends-with-benefits to fake-dating shenanigans. Oh and for Golf (The Eclipse) directing.

What can I say about My Golden Blood that hasn't already been said?! Gawin in another BL! And with Joss! And Mond again! And it's about VAMPIRES! Signed and sealed. Give it to me. (Also, it's the same director as Shadow: Ark).

We Are looks cute, and it's nice to see all the couples again but the trailer didn't wow me. Having said that, it'll probably end up being my favourite or something knowing me 😂

The main thing I'm looking forward to with Only Boo! is to see Louis and Aun (and maybe the other two but I don't know them) killing it with the dancing (unfortunately there'll probably also be singing). I mean, look at this. Show me what you've got Louis!

I'm not really feeling Summer Night at all to be honest. And they used the ost for UMG at the end which threw me as well. I'll see what the real trailer looks like and decide whether to watch it then...but my hunch is I won't.

High School Frenemy had FAR too much fighting in it and I'm not sure if I'll watch this one. It seems like it should be a bl but I don't think it will be (I am fighting the urge to read up on the Korean original). BUT I might show up for these three...as well as View, Est, Mark, Mark, Prom, and AJ AND JJ (my beloveds). I'm warning the show, though, it had BETTER have a DAMN GOOD REASON why Shin won't forgive Saint. (I've just seen it's directed by Fon, so that's giving me more hope).

I'm really really hesitant about Ossan's Love Thailand and it's not because I know the original (because I don't) but mainly because I've never felt inclined to see the original because of one of the age gaps. I'm usually fine with age gaps but this one just feels icky. I wonder what they'll do with the Thai version...but it's directed by Au, so I'll probably watch it (and because it's Earth/Mix - duh), but I might not do the whole comparison with the original thing.

And lastly The Interest (Movie Trailer #2) and Enigma 2 which I doubt I will watch. The former is a movie, so I don't know if it'll get an international release, and the latter is a sequel and I haven't seen the first series...and probably won't unless someone gives me good reason to otherwise.

A Guide to Watching The BB25 Live Feeds

So you are wanting to watch feeds for the first time, but are a little intimidated by the idea of tuning in at all hours just to catch a game talk. When is the best time to watch? How do you know when to log in and see what's going on? How do you avoid missing everything while you're out touching grass? Follow under the cut for a live feed primer!

Firstly, where can you find the BB25 live feeds? You have two options this season:

Paramount+ is the only way to watch feeds (legally) without ad interruptions. For 5.99/month you can have access to feeds through the website. If you got the money to spend, this is the best option for the most optimal feed experience.

Cannot mention watching feeds on Paramount without plugging the great Liquid8d's BB Viewer! A free Google Chrome extension that allows for way more utilization and customization of your live feed viewing experience! Check his pinned post for more information on how to get it! You need a Paramount+ account to use the Viewer.

Pluto TV is a new FREE option for live feeds! Can tune into one of the feed channels at anytime to see what's going on. There will be commercials, however, which could get annoying. This is an ideal way for international fans to watch, as you only need a VPN.

Beyond that, there are other...less legal...ways to watch feeds if you know where to look, however given Pluto TV's free I'm not going to be promoting them. Check out Twitter under the BB25 hashtag and you'll probably come across them.

So now that you know where feeds are...how do you know when to watch them?

Feeds will often 'go down' at times a competition or house event is happening. This can be for HOURS on end. The BEST way to watch out and see if live feeds are on is following Feeds Bot! This account only tweets when feeds return from a lengthy cut, so on mobile if you turn alerts on you'll always know when there's stuff to watch!

Even when feeds are up, there's not always something going on in the house. Sometimes people might just be sleeping. It is important to note that BB time is PACIFIC TIME, so you must adjust accordingly if you don't live in that time zone.

In general, house guests are not gaming hard every hour of the day. There are times where it is more important to watch than others. Note the following schedule:

Thursday- Thursdays officially start a new 'week' in the Big Brother house. Someone was just evicted, someone new is in power as HOH, and the game can begin a new chapter. Feeds are not on much on Thursdays because of the prep work that must be done for the live show. You might be able to tune in early in the morning for some last-minute talks, but otherwise feeds stay down until after the HOH competition. Tune in when FeedsBot tells you feeds are back to learn who is HOH, and who might be panicking about being nominated!

Friday- Fridays are BIG days in the BB house. Nominations happen today, so there's a LOT of game talk with the HOH and amongst players about strategy for the week. Usually around the afternoon/evening in BBT feeds will go down for one hour for the ceremony, where after everyone will see the fallout of who gets nominated.

Saturday- Saturday feed cuts can be very long due to this being the day the veto competition is played! In the morning feeds will go down for a half hour to draw players for the competition, then the competition will occur later. Saturday is a common day that any seasonal twist occurring will happen, so also important to catch what might have gone on during an unexpectedly long feed cut. See who wins the veto!

Sunday- Sundays are usually lazier days in the house. While players might be strategizing about the veto, it generally doesn't fill up a whole day. Go touch grass today, seriously!

Monday- Monday around noon-1pm BBT the veto ceremony will occur. Tune in after an hour feed cut to see what happened!

Tuesday/Wednesday- These days can be slow if there is a clear, unchanging plan for who is leaving Thursday. Tune in/out depending on how contentious the vote appears to be.

"Ugh, I'm busy and can't watch! How do I catch up on what happened?"

There are plenty of updaters/feed recappers that will help you keep track of what's going on in the house at all hours. Here's the best (IMO) resources to follow:

RHAP: Taran Armstrong does VERY THOROUGH recaps of everyday on feeds in the BB house. Tune in every morning live or watch later and you won't miss a single thing, I promise!

Hamsterwatch: One of the oldest and most reliable updaters/recappers in the biz, with a very thorough site and a lot of charm and humor throughout her content. Follow Dingo on twitter for updates as well!

Big Brother Daily: Real time updates catching the most IMPORTANT soundbytes and information.
