it’s only been a month since he forced you back. and, noah’s already calling alastor ‘papa’. he tainted your sweet boy’s mind— ‘mama lied to you, she wanted to keep you all to herself. she’s really selfish, but then again, i can’t blame her!’

and, you couldn’t protest. if you did, if you broke the rose-tinted filter alastor created— he would hurt you. not physically, alastor is still a ‘gentleman’. he’d hurt you mentally, break your little mind until you can’t do anything but nod your head.

alastor would never strike his hand on noah. after all, deep down, there’s some part of him that’s still in love with you, albeit in his own twisted way. and, noah is apart of you, alastor couldn’t bear to hurt him, not unless he’s misbehaving…

“mama, can we have the turkey we hunted for dinner?!” noah asked excitedly, slamming his hands against the counter over and over again. “sure, baby… but, remember before..? you got in trouble with mr. yee because you released all his chickens…” you asked, quite desperate. this little boy, the one who finds hunting fun. he is nothing like the one who wanted to become vegan after he found out where chicken comes from, despite failing because of his love for chicken burgers.

“ah, alastor… dinner will be ready in a half hour.” you glared at him. “no worries, my love. it just means that i have a half hour to play with our beautiful son!” he smugly said. he saw the hatred in your eyes the moment he said ‘our’.

he was trying to make you lose your shit. make you seem like a hysterical woman. that way, if you even tried to divorce him, noah would be left in his care. now that you were older and wiser, you wouldn’t play into his little trap.

“alright, you two have fun.” you begrudgingly smiled. alastor’s eyes widened, showing his shock for just one split second. alastor nudged noah, “go on for a second. papa wants to talk with mama.”

once noah left, alastor went behind you, straddling your waist. “what is it, alastor?” you groaned. “i want another child, darling” he whispered against your ear. “i visited my mother with noah last week, she adored him, my love. she said she’d adore a granddaughter this time. she even picked out a name, emilia.” he rambled on. “as much as i love your mother, i don’t want another child, alastor.” you hissed out.

“oh, but it’s not just my mother, dear. little noah also wants a little brother or sister of his own.” at the thought of a little sister for noah, it would keep him busy, away from alastor, wouldn’t it? he’d gain those brotherly instincts that are so reminiscent of the soft hearted boy you raised.

Hey, remember the soulmate au by tiyoin(?) I recently read your post abt idia and Leona reacting to yuu being their mates, but I wanna take it a step further since I saw idias line abt the family curse (this has yandere implications so if it's not your cup of tea please feel free to just ignore, nothing is outright mentioned tho)

What if yuu has a family curse similar to the aishi family in yandere simulator? (It's been years since I touched the game so if the lore changed I'm basing it off of 2018 ish lore, just with my own twist) basically yes, yuu CAN feel emotions, they're just muted and barely there. Given the right conditions (like falling in love or spending time with friends) and/or antidepressants they'll basically be like any other person, without them it's like a less severe version of the aishi women pre-falling in love

So, afab ppl born in yuus family, once falling in love, start losing their sanities and adopt yandere like behavior (stalking, increasing rage and jealousy, willingness to murder, etc) unfortunately this means they usually die young (20s or 30s) how quickly/young they die is based on their willpower (resisting the urges) and when/if they fall in love (so someone falling in love for the first time in their 40s and having insane willpower, caving in 20 years later in their 60s has more luck than a 16 year old falling in love and caving in almost immediately). Unfortunately everyone is a carrier, men carry the gene and can pass it to their daughters, but it only presents in the women/afab ppl, so transfems won't be affected but transmascs will.

What if yuu fell in love already (in their own world) and has just been doing a really REALLY good job at Resisting The Urges™️. Like, sometimes they slip up and cave in to anger or get ridiculously jealous, but they try their hardest to tamp down the feelings. Yuu has sworn off falling in love (again) and has given up their dream of having a big family bc of the curse, they're even distancing themselves from their object of affection in an attempt to "be normal again" at the cost of their own sanity.

So yuu gets transported to twst, and without their darling, they have the chance to be normal again, assuming they can get past the initial panic frenzy. Then the soul bond is revealed and they just go "nope. Not this shit again" and spouts cryptic messages about a family curse and swearing off love. I'm pretty sure most of the boys would feel a bit hurt by that lmao

This is mostly made for idia since his segment is what sparked the idea in the first place, but which characters from most to least likely do you think would try to pursue mc and figure out the truth to leave them alone and try to move on? I personally can't see someone like kalim giving up on both but I think the octatrio would try to look for the truth but be 50/50 on pursuing yuu or dropping them like a hot potato. Idia I think would try to relate to yuu and try to pursue them, but I think he'd probably be a bit put off once yuu starts dropping hints about the curse (he's a weeb so it won't take long for him and maybe Ortho to put 2+2 together and figure out the curse)

so. uh. I got this ask when I first woke up and 1) very happy to hear from you Rose, always lovely to get a new ask and 2) yandere? sim? has lore? I did not think people actually played the game? help. i've fallen and misplaced my life alert. As a rule I don't really write for a Yuu who is just x character from y game/anime (it is in my rules) so while I was at work realizing I might be old I was trying to think of a way to do this that wasn't just yan sim (I wanted something properly gn) and I think I've got something? I am currently beating away the desire to info dump on you about the myth of Sigurd and Brunhilde (i could scream about that for hours oh god oh please i have written an actual au for that but efkjbekjrgbjrthnytrh) So here is the basic idea:

Yuu ran afoul of a witch in their world and was appropriately cursed. Given the myth I was inspired by I don't think Yuu did anything bad, but they still made the witch mad so they got cursed to lose all reason should they ever fall in love.

"You will be thine own destruction!" Cackles the witch and Yuu, who is actually normal unlike trey this person takes a deep breath and resigns themselves to researching a way to minimize the effects and maybe break it? They don't know they thought magic was fake until they thought they were just doing a favor for someone but turns out they pissed off Baba fucking Yaga.

They start to isolate themselves since they notice the curse starting to eat at them when they are around anyone the love; they consider going back to the witch and asking for further clarification but they can't seem to find them anywhere so they take some deep breaths and do their best to just be normal.

When they end up in Twisted Wonderland, and start feeling... weird. And it only gets worse when Crowley speculates that they might have been brought to Twisted Wonderland because they posses a soulbond.

And Yuu immediately freaks out because they don't want to kill anyone.

Now as for your question for who would try to pursue Yuu vs just leave them... well I don't really like writing un reciprocated feelings so I hesitate to say any of the cast would drop Yuu. In my au it isn't possible for soulbonds to not be reciprocated, and they are already sort of seen as a curse by mages so this... complication might not be normal but it isn't unexpected if that makes sense. Which would probably make Yuu swearing off love hurt even worse.

Kalim wouldn't want to abandon Yuu. Not ever, no matter how much of a danger they could be to him. Hell, he's willing to forgive people who are trying to poison him on the off chance they might regret it. But he is the heir of House Al-Asim, and I could see his dad paying someone to take Yuu out to keep his son safe. Something Jamil sees coming from a mile away and has to just keep quiet about. Something I can see Jamil feeling bad about, he might not like Kalim but you didn't ask for anything that happened to you. And yet the Asim's took your life from you anyway.

Have to disagree about the octatrio just a bit. Floyd would be into this. And so would Jade. But especially Floyd, oh hee hee ha ha his soul mate wants to kill him? Say less he is on his way to get his ass eat beat with an engagement ring in hand. Both he and Jade would be a little disappointed when the curse is broken and you aren't actively trying to kill him anymore... maybe you could try and poison him huh? Like old times?

I wrote 20 paper pages of soulbond au stuff for Azul so I will try to be brief here but... I don't think this situation would be one that made him try to break the bond. He has... complicated feelings about soulbonds already. If anything I could see him thinking he deserves this.

Now Idia. He's complicated. Pre-overblot he has given up on the concept of breaking his own curse, and I could see him feeling the same way about yours. Ortho on the other hand... even before he gets his soul he wants to help. After the overblot I can see Idia pursuing Yuu determined to find the truth and save them. Not that he wouldn't interact with them before that, he's a bit nihilistic so I can see him just making a bunch of jokes about the situation or promising to let Yuu kill him "after this next round." Or just straight up asking them to when he has to hit pity in one of his gachas. It's just cringe enough that it snaps Yuu out of the curse fog for long enough for the two of them to be normal around each other. And by normal I mean incredibly awkward

Sora divorces with Judge and remarry with Zeff so now Sanji lives with all his brothers and his sister. They get separate classrooms tho, and reiju is perona's age so she's besties with her. (I do not play by canon's rules with ages bc i live in my own world) They both tease their brothers (Sanji and Zoro) about their crushes on each other. The heart crew is there. Bepo is a dog, a very fluffy one. Kuina is alive. Kaya is there, same classroom with Usopp. I have no idea how to continue this lmao, but I do hope you find this interesting bc Buggy is 100% great with kids and probably teaches well bc he is a big nerd and makes lessons interesting. (Also, the whole reason why I wrote this instead of letting the idea slip through my mind like the others is bc the image of two goth men courting a clown looking mf was funny to me. So here we are lmao. The way I wrote this makes Shanks look like he's the person they let into their open relationship twice lol I'm so sorry 😭😭)

That's really sad, I really like this idea (though I see Shanks and Buggy more as siblings, but I understand the idea of Shuggy) It's fine that this became about so many people, I really like this.

Teacher!Buggy sounds so cool, you know that he's the flashiest and maybe one of the craziness of the things he'll do to get his students good things that will boost their learning. He knows that every kid might not have the same learning paths as others.

How many classes does this man teach? Who knows, too many for how much he gets paid. All teachers needs to get paid more.

I would think Jinbei and Brook being other fun teachers in the school, like Tom could be as well!

I really like this idea, and the imagine of two gothic men trying to court a clown-looking mf is really funny to me as well.

Duuudeee I legit read your fic in like, two days ( I had to give in to sleep eventually) and it was so so good!! I love the amount of care you put into making the characters feel as close to canon as possible, and my gosh having Iroh in the Gaang healed me a bit bc it's nice that they have an actual adult with them to help them out,,, the old man just has too many secrets up his sleeve </33 Loved this so much it completely satiated my curiosity for the zukaang ship, i've always been avoiding most of the fics just because it's too ooc and also it's just straight up nsfw lol

And I'm also glad to hear you like Iroh being with the Gaang! Even though he's the only adult there, I still try to make sure that he allows the kids to have agency - like he's not a strict parent to them, he's a nice comforting familial figure that everyone can go to for emotional support lol. Also being the only adult does not mean he's the most mature by any means. He's just a goofy old guy (who has also committed some war crimes) :)

Funnily enough, I actually didn't even consider shipping Zukaang until 2021 when I started thinking about all of their parallels and intertwined destinies one day, and I basically thought "huh, if they were closer in age this would literally be one of the most iconic ships of all time". So I decided to write my own version of the story where that is exactly the case lol. But even in general, I am kinda surprised it's not a more popular ship - like their age gap isn't a problem at all once they're both adults (4 years is literally the age gap of me and my husband at ages 26 and 30), and there's a lot of potential for exploration in settings like my AU where they're only a year or two apart.

iwaizumi mikio + the JNT

my first post about the single dad!iwa au.

i said i wanted to write a post about mikio with the national team so... here it is!! i had some help brainstorming a lot of these because... coming up with headcanons for 14 different guys is hard. thank you to the mutuals who talked about this with me.

ushijima (uncle ushiwaka):

i talked about it a little in the original post but they're pretty close!! mikio's known him since he was a kid.

he calls him 'ushiwaka' instead of wakatoshi bc of oikawa lmao.

mikio likes to share rock and lizard facts with him. ushijima dutifully listens.

tendou sends ushijima chocolates and he always shares them with mikio! and ushijima will write down mikio's opinions on each of them to share with tendou later.

(side note: i don't think mikio has ever met tendou so he's like a celebrity in his mind... his uncle's cool friend who sends chocolates and has been on TV)

sometimes i think they just sit in silence while they do their own thing. ushijima's doing his stretches while mikio reads a book next to him or something. it's kind of cute.

bokuto (bokuto-san):

mikio, like most children, enjoys being thrown. bokuto is happy to throw children. he has a blast. in the gym, it's usually just swinging him around.

iwa isn't really the over-protective dad type but it does give him a heart attack sometimes.

bokuto calls him little/mini iwa a lot, i think... or baby iwa but that one usually makes mikio frown and go "i'm seven" all matter-of-fact.

mikio gets kind of nervous around hyakuzawa and hakuba because they are both So Tall so sometimes bokuto will carry him on his shoulders so he can be tall too.

kageyama (kageyama-senshu):

first of all. he calls him kageyama-senshu bc of hinata. mikio overheard hinata teasing him and was like O: and started calling him that too after hinata explained what it means.

kageyama is the only one he uses this for and it's because kageyama calls him "mikio-san"

they talk to each other like they're colleagues and it's both the funniest and cutest thing in the world.

"good morning, mikio-san" "good morning, kageyama-senshu"

mikio likes kageyama for these reasons! kageyama makes him feel like he's being taken seriously which is nice.

and kageyama is also happy to listen to mikio go on and on about his interests.

hinata (hinata-san / shouyou-san):

i think after he witnesses oikawa calling hinata shouyou a few times, he starts doing it too. but this is probably after the olympics tbh.

hinata is pretty good with kids! i think he's good at striking that balance between being goofy while also not talking down to kids so he's fun to talk to.

he tells mikio a lot of stories about karasuno with a slight focus on suga after he hears that he's his teacher! mikio is like "woah... suga-sen lore..." (<- he does not actually say this because he is seven but you get the idea) (actually it would be kind of funny if he said it exactly like that)

he also tells him stories about oikawa!! he tells him a little about when they hung out in brazil. and mikio's little mind is BLOWN because he didn't even know they knew each other.

atsumu (miya-san):

mikio uintentionally bullies atsumu sometimes.

he's kind of blunt and he doesn't realize that what he's saying sounds rude lmao.

"miya-san, why does your hair look like that?" when his roots are starting to grow back in. (mikio is the first one to notice)

or atsumu will be overreacting about something in typical miya atsumu fashion and mikio goes "miya-san, you're being weird"

mikio calls osamu "myaa-sam" because of bokuto and atsumu thinks it's so unfair that osamu has a special nickname when atsumu definitely sees mikio more often than he does.

he wouldn't say this to mikio though. he just whines about it to osamu.

atsumu thinks mikio hates him but mikio does actually think he's kind of cool. he says this once and atsumu is like "he thinks i'm cool" and sakusa goes "he said 'kind of cool'"

sakusa (sakusa-san):

i really thought about having mikio call him 'omi-san' because the idea of him calling him that while atsumu is just "miya-san" was. really funny but i don't actually think he would.

like, he picks up a lot of nicknames from oikawa and bokuto but this is one where i think he would stick to what his dad says.

partially because he is... a little scared of sakusa. it's not necessarily anything sakusa did, he's just tall and has a deep voice and he was wearing a mask the first time they met and it just freaked him out.

sakusa did unintentionally make him cry once because he saw mikio pick up something off the ground outside and told him it was disgusting. iwa then had a talk with sakusa about how you talk to children.

iwa was firm about it but not mean or anything. everyone else describes it as "the time our athletic trainer almost killed sakusa" though.

komori (komori-san):

komori is a fun guy! fun silly little guy! i think he likes roping mikio into shenanigans.

nothing super bad, he's not trying to get mikio in trouble with his dad or anything. just silly harmless stuff.

sometimes at sakusa's expense but not always since mikio is a little freaked out by him.

i do not have specific examples for the shenigans though. sorry. if anyone has ideas, my inbox is open always.

komori also gives me the vibe as the kind of guy who would like puns so he makes mikio laugh a lot. (even if mikio doesn't always understand the pun, lol. he laughs and then he's like "i don't get it" and then komori explains it to him)

suna (suna-san):

suna wants to be in his "the dad who stepped up" era but mikio already has a dad. (<- this is what iwa says every time suna says he can be the father figure mikio needs)

ok. jokes aside.

mikio thinks suna is okay. he shows him funny videos on his phone sometimes which is about the only time mikio finds him entertaining.

yaku (yaku-san):

it depends a little but yaku's pretty good with kids, i think. he's another one who i think kids would like because he doesn't talk down to them or anything.

(he still talks to them like they're kids though, he talks to them about their interests)

he does encourage some of the unintentionally rude things mikio says lmao.

"he's kind of weird" "you're right, mikio-kun. he is kind of weird" "HEY"

yaku and komori are secretly teaming up to try to persuade mikio to be a libero behind iwa's back. (i don't think iwa actually has any strong opinions on what position mikio would hypothetically play if he decided to play volleyball in school but still)

hoshiumi (hoshiumi-san):

kind of a menace.

he told mikio that the reason hakuba is so tall is because he watched subliminal messaging videos about making you taller when he was a kid (hakuba backed this up).

so for a few days mikio was using his screen time to watch subliminal 'how to get taller' videos on youtube and iwaizumi was like wtf?? (missed hoshiumi telling him this)

mikio didn't even know what subliminal meant. hoshiumi had to explain it to him.

another time hoshiumi told mikio that if he swallows a watermelon seed it will grow into a watermelon in his stomach and then joined the "players who have made mikio cry" club. (iwa yelled at him after)

he just... lies. a lot. about somewhat harmless stuff but still. he is spreading misinformation. and iwa is like "stop lying to my son"

aran (ojiro-san):

nervous but pretty good with mikio!

he's actually pretty good at cheering him up when he's upset because he just says it's okay to be sad! and then he feels a little better.

sometimes mikio asks him to swing him around like bokuto does and aran is like "absolutely not" (but in a nice way lol, he doesn't want to hurt his feelings but he doesn't want to risk accidentally throwing mikio across the gym)

brings extra snacks when he knows mikio is coming in (iwa usually tries to give them a heads up). he gets mikio obsessed with ritz crackers for a while because he always shares his with him.

he corrected the "hakuba got so tall because he watched subliminal videos" misinformation. i think he's actually often stepping in to correct misinformation. every time he sees hoshiumi talking to mikio, he makes sure to listen in.

hyakuzawa (hyakuzawa-san):

he's not necessarily... scared but mikio gets really nervous around hyakuzawa because of how tall he is. he is the tallest person he has ever seen.

hyakuzawa is... also nervous around kids lmao. because of how tall he is. so it's a little funny to watch them be wary around each other.

yaku tells him not to be so nervous because kids can smell fear.

"what" "they literally can't" "oh haha yeah"

he gets a little better as time goes on but he's always the most awkward around him.

hakuba (hakuba-san):

mikio is also nervous around him bc of his height but hakuba is a little better with kids than hyakuzawa. or at least, he doesn't get as nervous.

hakuba is often on like High Alert when he knows mikio is around because he doesn't want to accidentally bump into him or knock him down. (hyakuzawa too but i think it's a more conscious effort with hakuba bc he is not always that aware of his surroundings lol)

he will sometimes assist hoshiumi in spreading misinformation.

kiryuu (kiryuu-san):

i think mikio likes him! i don't think kiryuu always knows how to interact with kids but he does his best (which is pretty good tbh).

mikio asks him for bird facts, kiryuu shows him pictures of birds he's seen while birdwatching. it's nice.

mikio gains a greater appreciation for birds through these conversations and will sometimes point out random birds while he's out with his dad.

and that's it, i think? i hope you enjoyed. i'm not as happy with what i came up with for the last three (well actually i like kiryuu's i just wish i had more lol) but i didn't really want to leave them out either! if anyone wants to talk more about this, my inbox is always open!!!

hiii. first of all, im a big fan of warmth - csc. i love how your choice of words, they are beautiful and spot on. surely having an episode of depression isnt fun, but as someone who never feel that way, i can finally see what’s going on inside their head when it happens through your writing.

i wonder if you could write the similar one with wonwoo or woozi? i’d like my own experience to be in your writing lmao (bcs i suck at it). say, their s/o had a bad day bcs of one mistake that led to a huge problem. it pains them so much it haunts every now and then. there’s not much they could do other than accepting what happened. as time passes by, the guilt still there and just by looking at how they act, woozi/wonwoo can see it clearly. so, i want wonwoozi to give their s/o some kind of reassurance.

they're both v professional obvs and hide their feelings well but sometimes roy gets a wee bit too into the role he ""plays"" while speaking to elizabeth and hears about it later. but he just shrugs and doesn't care bc how can he be sorry when he gets to pretend he's in love, or close to it at least, w elizabeth - not that there's any actual pretending hehehehehe

they end up becoming a dog family. all the pups. because it's what riza wants

realistically, would they have kids together?? hmmm ask again later but in my mind where there's 0 consequence and things are hand wavey yes 😌 need girl dad roy and mama hawk in my life

there is definitely a way they could play marriage between them and having a family strategically and politically and i've read some fab fics and thoughts where they do but i'm not clever enough to think anything up hahaha but i feel like they absolutely would in the canon world. it would suit them and their goals well if they did

obvs the kid would be loved and doted on don't get me wrong it would just be convenient that it worked out politically for them too

i'm sure i have more rattling about in my brain somewhere but i was up at half 4 this morning for a road trip and this is all i got for now hahaha

in terms of aus, i don't have anything cooking atm. i would love to delve into another one but i've done so many at this point i feel i've exhausted my wee list but!! also accomplished and written everything i've wanted to write for royai 🥰

however. i will say. for years i've been dreaming of a royai/x files au. royai as mulder and scully??? roy the believer and riza the skeptic??? stunning. i would LOVE to write that but i just. do not have it in me anymore unfortunately. that being said, i will never say never!! it might eventually come back around to me. but we'll see :)

BSD College band AU

Look i have so many au ideas that im not prepared to write but i think theyre cool so theyre going on here anyways heres one brief outline of a band au thats been floating around my head for the past few days:

-Dazai Osamu, lit major. He starts a band with his sister Yosano (pry the sibling dynamic from my cold dead hands i dare u). He's perfectionistic and controlling since this is his dream, and isn't ever happy with the suggestions that Yosano makes for members of the band. He's the lyricist of the band, and plays guitar and piano. He was a piano prodigy as a kid, being forced to compete by their foster father Mori when he was young, but always preferred guitar. He's the rhythm guitarist. He's obsessive over music and will neglect his own health over the band (he almost always is sleep deprived and has bandages over his hands from overplaying the piano and guitar until his fingers would bleed)

-Yosano Akiko, bio major, she helps Dazai start the band. She plays violin classically but was the one to teach Dazai guitar when they were kids since she rebelled against Mori. Now she plays bass guitar. She does vocals occasionally, depending on what Dazai's vision is with the lyrics.

-Atsushi Nakajima, a down on his luck 3rd year in high school who just got kicked out by his foster parents after he turned 18. He played guitar as a kid and is a prodigy. He met Dazai one night after he tried to kill himself bc college sucks, and Dazai sees his guitar case, since Atsushi was busking at the time to pay for a hotel room, and is asked to join the band. Atsushi agrees bc why not, and Dazai lets him move in with him since he doesn't live in dorms (him and Yosano have their own place) He's the lead guitarist in the band.

-Ranpo Edogawa, Yosano's best friend and a criminology major. He has nothing to do with the band, but he's their biggest supporter. He works at a cafe alongside Poe, where the band frequently plays since Ranpo convinced the owner (Fukuzawa) to let them play there.

-Akutagawa Ryuunosuke and Gin, high school students and friends of Atsushi. Atsushi recommends him to Dazai who begrudgingly lets them join the band (Gin is their sound tech, and Higuchi later joins to become their manager) They compete over who gets Dazai's validation since they both look up to him (which dazai is like literally why. you should not be doing that Yosano is gonna kill me) He plays bass alongside Yosano. (also side sskk bc slay)

-Kouyou Ozaki, sociology major, she meets Yosano at a party where she sings karaoke and Yosano decides that she wants Kouyou to be their vocalist. She initially refuses since she's busy with college stuff, but introduces Yosano to her friend Verlaine (a psychology major), who's adoptive brother Chuuya is a drummer, and is looking to join a band. Later they make a deal that if Yosano can convince Chuuya to join she will too. Which miraculously does happen. Kouyou is their main vocalist.

-Nakahara Chuuya, lit major. He plays drums and guitar. He used to be in a band in highschool that got fairly popular with his childhood friends called "The flags". The band split up when they all went to different colleges though. He is in Dazai's lit class and they have a rivalry. Yosano asks him to join the band and chuuya refuses bc he HATES DAZAI. They do not get on WHATSOEVER. But after a lot of bickering and fighting Dazai gives in and lets him join (he says its bc he wanted Kouyou on board, but doesnt mention how he saw Chuuya playing his songs solo at a open mic at a bar nearby and was mesmerized) They eventually become friends. Chuuya is their main drummer but helps with lyrics sometimes. (bc i need soukoku writing songs together pls)

-The two other main bands are the hunting dogs (consisting of Teruko, Jouno, tetchou and Tachihara, except Tachihara's brother is the leader instead of Fukuchi bc i actually dont care about him sorry), and the decay of angels (but its just the russians lmao its just sigma nikolai and fyodor and sigma is sick of their shit)

-Dazai knew of the flags before and liked their music but is unaware that Chuuya is the same person that was in the flags.

-He falls for chuuya first and hard. (also making dazai ace bc #slay ace world domination) and chuuya also likes dazai but is like unsure of whether its reciprocated, and since both are shit at feelings its just pain as everyone else has to watch them pine over each other for like months.

-Kousano bc slay band lesbians <3 Yosano is very vocal about her love for Kouyou and is constantly asking her on dates etc, even though Kouyou goes weeks thinking its a joke.

-Chuuya's first band wasn't the flags, but the sheep, which ended with the sheep stealing the songs chuuya wrote and claiming credit for them, after chucking him out of the band. He's still salty about it years later, especially when Yuan attempts to get in contact with him when Dazai's band starts playing venues and getting popular.

-idk if i'll write any more for this but it popped in my head and im actually attached to the idea lol <3

I try to respond to as many as I can, but I usually forget lol. If someone leaves an insightful comment though it will usually spur a long conversation in the comments and I LOVE IT

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

If The World Was Ending bc they uh :) die, technically speaking

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Uhhhh probably every other one??? I really don’t like sad endings so most have a happy ending, but i actually really like the ending to Stick Season because despite it being so terribly emotional and angsty, I feel like the ending is a turnaround and really hopeful!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not really? A few annoying comments telling me characters wouldn’t act this way, and one asking me “where my creativity was” which rubbed me the wrong way but I try to focus on the positive ones! Those definitely linger in my mind longer 💞

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Don’t look at me. Yes. Sometimes. Idk man sometimes those dudes just need to fuck it out???? But I usually only write it if the story feels like it’s naturally going there. It’s never really porn for porn’s sake (for clarification there’s nothing wrong with that we all love a little pwp), it’s usually the sappy emotional kind that’s mostly feelings and vague descriptions. it’s definitely not my forte and something I still get a little embarrassed and self conchas about lmao

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Not recently but I did have a Supernatural/Glee crossover a few years ago (shut up I was 16) and honestly it was loads of fun! Blaine was the child of that Gay Angel and Repressed Bisexual Man. Absolutely a slay

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don’t think so? But a few old ones from my fanfiction dot net page ended up on one of those search engine thingies??? Idk how to explain it or how to take it down but honestly… I have bigger problems lol

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No but if anyone ever wants to let me know!!! It would make me so happy!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yeah! Quite a few actually. I usually do the franken-fic every year and I did the roulette challenge and that m aforementioned crossover was actually a collab! Some of my favorite memories was writing the final chapter of A Night At The Ryerson House with @esperantoauthor 💞

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

OOF. Okay so. With 46 fics on AO3 you could say Klaine has a special place in my heart, buuuuuuut…….. my best friend introduced me to newsies in April and I seriously think it did something to my brain chemistry because Jack and Davey own my entire ass

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Ugh. I’m so fearful that I’ll never finish Amidst The Chaos, which I LOVE but takes so much out of me. There’s also one I’ve never posted called “Strangers Again” that involves like timeline jumping but in a romcom way that I’m not sure how to go about??? Also the community college one. I have so many.

For Javey I tried writing that Spider-Man AU but like. I need to re do the entire first chapter. I absolutely hate it actually and I think it’s because I don’t have a clear vision of what exactly I want, but I know what I DO NOT want????

16. What are your writing strengths?

Uhhhhhhhhhhh I’m actually not sure entirely? I’m gonna go with dialogue bc that’s usually how scenes come to me first.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Scenery/setting/sensory, world building, plot points, physical movement holy fuck do not get me started when That Guy has to move Across The Room AHHHHHH I wanna tear my face off

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Love it! In my brain Jack Kelly is Mexican because I love to project, and I’ve got a wip where Blaine is involved in a Hispanic community (no he’s mot Hispanic he’s just got a Mexican friend who is an old lady and also Catholicism is involved it’s a lot to explain okay go with it) so I like to use it, but only in a way that feels natural to ME based on MY experiences. Different people have different approaches!

Sorry for sending yet another ask lol, I'm just so curious about the creation of this fic. It's so good and is such an interesting concept/version of events that I want to know what went on in your yalls brains while making this!

EEK! i'm SO excited you asked about this one! this one is one of the fics i'm proudest of (+ some of my favourite charlotte art!), but it didn't get as much traction as my other fics. so i am so excited to yap about it now!!!

1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?

one of my favourite samdean AUs is normallife!AU because yeah!! they are really weird like that! "weird about each other" means weird about each other in EVERY TIMELINE BABEY! it's also fun to see their dysfunction in an average environment, and how people react to two brothers who are Just Like That.

5: What part was hardest to write?

the hardest part to write was definitely the resolution post-meltdown. for sam and dean normally, they take incest pretty hard, lol. so to get these two brothers that have not lived at the fringes of "normative" society and resolve their emotions in a satisfying way was difficult. the blow-up (post-blowjob, haha) was pretty easy to write, but i had a hard time making the resolution of the story feel emotionally satisfying. because they had to dust themselves off and walk home after something completely life-shattering.

they deal with most things with a kind of bitter humour in the show, so i chose a dash of that with more emotional transparency, because they haven't been raised as rough/life-or-death as show sam and dean.

6: What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics?

i think the AU is the most different part about it! and while they're both teenagers, it's also my only underage fic (as of this moment) so i knew that would automatically disqualify it for a lot of folks, which i can understand. it operates pretty differently from my other samdean fics, because they aren't supposed to behave 1:1 like they would in the show, as their entire environment is different.

7: Where did the title come from?

the title came from "semi-charmed life" by third eye blind, which was released earlier in the year that the party takes place (February vs October '97). so conceivably, and given the subject matter of the song (a drug bender), it would be played at a high school party that year! i did a STUPID amount of song research for this fic, and i will revisit all of that in #13!

i chose it specifically because it talks about being obsessed with someone when you're young--in a predominantly physical, but also emotional, way. this lyric was VERY much codependent and obsessed, which i thought was pretty spot-on for sam and dean. i thought it was fitting!

9: Were there any alternate versions of this fic?

no, actually! this didn't change much from the conception to the finished product. for the october challenge, i actually plotted this one first because i was so excited about it. (i even wrote the blowjob scene first in my notes app bc a few lines of dialogue stuck in my head and i wanted to write them down before i could forget.) it was intended to be a little more light-hearted than it ended up being, but there's not really a way to write two brothers in a completely normal social situation deciding to commit incest and deal with it normally afterwards, lmao.

11: What do you like best about this fic?

i was most happy with their dynamic in this fic. it was challenging to write an AU!sam&dean and keep their obsession with each other in a way that felt natural, but i thought their background was fun! i think dean would develop sam-centric if he had even an ounce of the hero worship/responsibility that he gets in the show. i liked their family dynamic/history and their own dynamic/history in this fic! i enjoyed writing that the most, as well as the lead-up to the kiss. it's frantic and it's devoted and it's messy! overall: the emotion of this fic. i think i did a good job!

i also think it has a pretty decent blowjob scene? i LOVE either boy in lingerie, so i hope i did them justice!

13: What music did you listen to, if any, to get in the mood for writing this story? Or if you didn’t listen to anything, what do you think readers should listen to to accompany us while reading?

okay! this fic is very song-heavy, and i did a bit of research on songs that came out in the past 1-3 years before '97, because those songs would be the most popular at a high school party. so here are a few that i listened to or are mentioned in the fic:

a significant portion of nimrod by green day, specifically worry rock (bc sam is a little alternative, and this song is VERY MUCH canon!samdean) (i even looked up the day of the week the album came out to make sure dean could take him on a school day)

15: What did you learn from writing this fic?

besides the billboard top-100 of '96-'97, i learned i need to work on interim action! i found myself really speeding through the party because i wanted dean in his eyeliner and skirt to walk in, and it felt very lop-sided and rushed while i was trying to establish characters/events at this party. i need to get better at pacing! i also learned i was way more into the way noise is muffled under a skirt/how emotionally intimate&vulnerable it is if you're under there than i thought. huh! i also really want to see sam with smeared lipstick. new things all over!
