It occurred to me that this season's been a little different than the first years (especially Sophomore Year) because it seems like the Bad Kids aren't forming as many relationships to NPCs - not bringing them along on adventures or talking that much outside of getting information (at least not friendly NPCs, they're interacting with the Rat Grinders plenty) and then I noticed that in downtime, they've basically been ignoring rolling for the Relationships track. It's almost like being in a constantly stressful and results-focused environment really destroys your interpersonal relationships

aurghhh ok still rewatching '97 and the way guts and casca only have the room to breathe and really come to understand and care for each other in griffith's absence because he has such a strong hold over them both.... and the way their mutual dedication to him is what causes them to bicker for years (casca thinks he's not serving him well enough, guts thinks she doesn't get that he cares/how much he cares, casca's jealousy over griffith's feelings for guts, how he won his heart without even trying or being aware of it or doing anything with it) and is also a big part of what brings them together (earlier when guts deviates from the plan to save griffith and she commends him, in the cave casca opening up about griffith and her's past, showing that vulnerability, while it's mostly confrontational, leads to guts kinda getting her better, and his efforts to save and protect her (falling off the cliff with her, taking on the 100 men so she can escape, encouraging her to return to griffith so she can help him because it's what she feels she's meant to do (her dream, the direction in life guts shares and yet is questioning because of griffith's speech at the fountain, whether or not it's enough to serve him if it means he'll never be a true friend in griffith's eyes because he's not an equal), supporting the idea of her being with griffith/being his most important person like he won't because he doesn't view it as a competition like she has been since day one) leading to her realizing that he's kind of not that bad a guy and they have a lot more in common that she thought. and how the bonfire of dreams conversation is guts opening up to her in kind, the answer to her talking about how griffith saved her, how she feels. how neither of them ever call it love but it's something they know they both have for griffith. how it's something they're beginning to have for each other, different in ways they couldn't put a word to. because they're equals this time. the way griffith kind of becomes less and less important as they find other reasons to live and fight, as they become less singularly obsessed with him. how griffith is unable to stand it, guts' personhood, that agency and peer-to-peer equality he claimed to want (and perhaps truly did) that disappeared guts from his life, his plans, his side. how it barely even matters to griffith how casca changes because he never wanted her like she wanted him. god i can't fucking stand their shakespearean nonsense drama (<- hopelessly in love with their interpersonal dynamics)

those mike pov fics that really actually show the difference between mike and will's exterior behavior in the sense that mike sees and knows that will is less "tough" and "masculine" than him, but he doesn't think anything negative of it at all and is trying to break through to will who is trying to hide that bc he feels shame or embarrassment for it..... they jus hit different .
and when will sees that mike won't judge him for his sensitivity and that he actually loves that about him? that mike doesn't view him as any less of a man or view it as abnormal? and so he comes out of his shell and becomes so much more vibrant? bro im tearing up just thinking abt it like—
AND WHEN THAT IN TURN MAKES MIKE COME OUT OF HIS SHELL, TOO, AND BECOME MORE EXPRESSIVE AND VULNERABLE?! GODDDDDDDDD

I GOT SOME MORE FOOD!!!!
also don't mind the top of the page :) it's nothing, maybe?
But yeah, the 6 scar/identification marking is actually based off of specimen 6!\/ as seen below.
I just wanted to include that in there for fun lol, it doesn't mean anything.
ALSO MORE SKETCHES FOR XENO READER (i just started to call mine 6 lmao)
Also i hc that if you take their photo their eyes do the thing that cats do in the dark or like with animal's eyes in night vision cameras.
also @phantom-ares0 the reason why these took so long is bc im cooking something up :) the brain rot is still there and isn't letting go.
Plus I plan on doing more fanart for more fics, it's just the xeno reader is fueling a fire i didn't know i had.
ENJOY 👹👹

Think my fundamental problem with engaging with a lot of MegOP content is that, for a ship composed of characters who are the Ultimate Archnemeses type who are each other's only equal (in almost all continuities), there's a lot of MOP content that seems to either 1. overwhelmingly prioritize Megatron even though Optimus is just as interesting a character or 2. all but makes Optimus subservient to Megatron, be it by making him intellectually inferior or by straight up making him into an uke/borderline straightwashed partner for the burly, manly Megatron. And it's annoying slkdfjlksd
Edit: I forgot the secret third option which is 3. make Optimus "interesting" by turning him into a victim constantly bullied/taken advantage of/brainwashed and make Megatron be the one who saves him like a knight saving a damsel.

there's some discourse about the potential new team adams and mercer are teasing maybe being called young justice, and like. i get it. "young justice" isn't really a team with interchangable members, everybody who ever joined really only did so because they joined the friendgroup, but i also so genuinely couldn't care less about this because if it's a decent project with steph as some sort of lead or even just in a red-tornado-esque roll and nobody thinks she's fourteen (which we have yet to find out, i suppose lol) and "young justice" is gonna make it sell, i'm all for calling it young justice. idc

its so fuckin interesting to me that dimple is the only character to make mob so mad that he almost breaks. he's the only thing that knows how to make mob upset to the point that he gets overwhelmed by it and totally makes sense for his character bc hes an evil spirit yadda yadda. i think that dimple is like the only thing that's ever seen mob at his angriest, so it makes sense that he was terrified of him

I keep imagining Lummis and Petunia in different outfits but never Flower, they always stay in their black pants and white shirt getup unless for special occasions, and I think the funniest possible explanation to this is if they have like 20 pairs of identical pants and shirts
Which makes sense if they're the Pure Vessel. Just throw something comfortable and practical but still okay-looking by noble standards on them when not on duty and sew a shitton of these bad boys for them, it's not like they have an opinion or preference or even need to be fashionable. Basic stuff will do.
The side effect of this is the fact post-reveal they still wear the same goddamn thing 7 days a week
And also they're autistic/neurodivegent in general. Having a duplicate or two (or 20) of their favourite comfy outfit is handy, and finding new clothes that don't have Bad Texture or annoying tags is a chore and a half.
