Rebekah didn’t glance back at her, instead picking up another plastic cup off the table, throwing it in the trash bag she held in her hand. “He bailed. He got called into work at the last minute.”

Caroline blinked back into motion, her expression twisting with exasperation.

“Are you kidding me? So it’s just us?”

“Yes, and you’re late.” Rebekah snapped, spinning around to face Caroline, mood positively foul. “Clean up committee started at 8 o’clock.”

“But it’s like-” Caroline checked her watch, frowning down at it. “8:02.”

“Exactly.” Rebekah grabbed another handful of empty cups and fallen decorations, shoving them into the trash bag with slightly more force than was necessary. “I managed to turn up on time and I didn’t even get to attend the dance I organised.”

I'm spanish and summers here are hot, very hot. Lately, we've been having 40cº, and let me tell you it is HELL, so I can't imagine how it must feel for someone who is not used to this.

Now top that with the fact that I work at a restaurant... as a chef so the heat is unbearable (even my earlobes were sweating, so you can imagine)

Oh btw I think that blog in your inbox asking for donations is a scan. They don't actually have many posts on their blog and when I found a post talking about blogs scamming about palestine that account had the exact same header as another account pretending to need help

i'm aware people like that exist but when i receive an ask like that i cannot leave it alone. the least i can do is share so i do that. i do my donations to charities i trust, but even if i won't donate money it feels wrong to delete an ask like that without answering 😔

Its absolutely no coincidence that the people being sent baseless sexual assault accusations against predstrogen have, from what I've seen, been young transmascs.

The terfs behind the harassment campaign are so brazenly trying to prey on anybody they reckon might have any transmisogynist tendencies and are trying to use that to sow discord in the trans community. They see transmasculine people as potential avenues for recruitment (and eventual detransition) and it's extremely fucking important that the people being sent these anons do not fall headfirst for the bait. They want you to go 'uh oh, guess trans women are sex pests after all' and that to stick with you and fester, and turn that seed of prejudice into the continued harm of transfem people.

If you want to be a meaningful ally to transfem people right now you have to be vigilant for this shit, and correct it where you see it. If you think being used as an angle of recruitment by bigoted harassment is gross, imagine how it would feel to be the damn focus of the harassment.

listen to me. if youre an adult you have the ability to be an unfathomably kind influence on a child. i had a good teacher who let me break down in the hallway for the whole period because he noticed me crying in class, and before that he complimented my writing skills and encouraged me to persue writing. and man ill never forget that teacher as long as i live for even the miniscule acts of kindness. be kind to kids. you never know whats going on that you cant see.
