Happy new years everyone!

As we move into this huge celebration I just want to say a few things.

Please be mindful of your more sensitive pokemon, many smaller creatures do not like fireworks or loud sounds, perhaps keep them inside or even in their pokeballs, in a more quiet room, maybe with the TV on playing some music. Many pokemon get scared off and lost as a result of this.

For adults, alcohol can be a nice addition to the day, but please drink responsibly, keep it away from children and most pokemon, and have a designated driver, a lot of cities will have check points to make sure people are being safe.

If you're lighting fire works, please be sure to have water nearby, and fire them in an open area that is away from buildings and trees, fires can happen in an instant as emergency services are in standby but will probably be working hard tonight.

Finally, I want to say thank you all for sticking around, and you should be proud of yourself for making it another year. We have all made many friends this year, and sure, we ha e had our own ups and downs, but that's part of what makes life amazing.

I can't wait to see what's in store for next year, and I want to really connect more with everyone, so please feel free to stop by anytime and say hi!

How to distinguish between "good" astrology posts and "Biased" astrology posts. because this needs to be said.

I know I've spoken about this before. but for the new people who have joined me, as your star commander I want you to be safe when navigating the tarot community, the astro community and witch community. so periodically I will post my observations and maybe make some statements here and there lmao.

Most recently, I've posted about how you shouldn't lower your standards, regardless of what a tarot pac might say.

and also I've posted recently about how life can just be cruel...just because.

Now, this morning, if you don't mind. I just want to remind you of one thing ::

A LOT of people who post on here are projecting their insecurities and trauma

I literally couldn't even scroll through five posts on the astrology blog tags that tumblr keeps suggesting for me. the very first posts alone when I load that page shows people showing nothing but biases.

so to those of you who may not be aware of how to spot these things, or may just be new to astrology and don't want to keep falling into the trap of bias posts in astrology, let me explain to you what to look out for.

DISCLAIMER:: it's totally cool if you resonate with someone saying that people with scorpio moons have terrible mothers. maybe you know someone who is a scorpio moon who has a bad mom. it's cool if you also resonate with it because it happened to you. the point of this post is to remind you that not every scorpio moon or whatever you're talking about goes through this. you'll see what I mean.

First:: What makes an astrology post "good" ?

No words like "ALL" or "Every" etc when referencing the signs or placements.

Evidence. whether this is just you saying that this is what you have observed or what a book has told you. back up your claims. *** (we'll get to this later and I'll explain how this can also be a bad thing).

RELEVANCE. is the person just talking because they had a bad day? see the Second section for more clarity on this.

Having both "good" and "Bad" qualities brought to the surface. and YOU recognizing that a lot of these posts are just surface level. So YOU need to keep a neutral mind towards things.

Second:: What makes astrology posts more biased

Going back to the Relevance claim. it's one thing to mention a story of someone you worked with, it's another all together when you start shitting on a whole sign because your ex who serial cheated on you was that sign.

No sign is inherently good or evil. Just because a taurus cheated on you does not mean the next one will. to say that you have a problem with ALL tauruses, leos, etc is a HUGE sign of bias.

2. when makiing the post, and or reading it, all they talk about is their experiences. Humans are heavily biased in one way or another. and ThAT IS OKAY. we live in our own heads. it is what it is. but as astrology readers and creators, we need to set aside our bias and when writing, refer to the facts that are presented.

ex:: all fixed signs are stubborn. AT FACE VALUE this is true. but when diving deeper into astrology it's going to be important to note that there's a lot to consider when proclaiming one side is nothing but stubborn. make sense?

3. Not considering other factors. if someone isn't backing up their claims. which this might feel like I'm repeating myself and that may be true. again, complaining to just complain is fine, but do not claim that EVERY sign is this or every sign goes through "that". etc.

4. NOT HAVING A DISCLAIMER ABOUT THEIR PERSPECTIVES OR NOTES. people cling on to what they understand AND what their biases know to be true. it's called confirmation bias.

Three:: How can I better consume astrology media and know what is biased and what isn't?

The thing is, it's always going to be biased. even my own posts are a bit biased, no matter how neutral I try to make them. here are things that you can do to remind yourself that not every experience is going to be the same.

Notice how people interact. if you can, ask for your firends birthdays and family. if you know four leos, look at their differences.

Be VERY aware of anyone who just gives you a sob story that is completely one sided. aka, the other person did this. and the other person did that. but they don't take accountability for themselves.

Study astrology on your own chart. there are plenty of resources around to help you. it'll show you more who is biased and what other sources you can trust. with time, you'll notice what I'm pointing out.

Have fun and take nothing seriously. part of the reason why astrology and tarot are considered to be "fatalistic" by some is because some of yall take this shit way too seriously. and while astrology is fun, it is NOT the end all be all. YOU CAN change regardless of what mr.poopybutt who says taurus's can't change their mind says. understnad?

Pokémon is about the journey to become the best version of you that you can be to the extent you want to go, with support from friends you form unbreakable bonds with and give support to in return. Pokémon is about chasing your dreams and never giving up. Pokémon is about love and friendship triumphing over any obstacle, about found family and making memories that come with new friends along the way.

This is why Pokémon means so much to me, as a genderfluid autistic person. I'm always changing and evolving. Sometimes I'm like a Rotom, becoming whatever I need to be for the task at hand. Sometimes I'm like a Castform, a Cherrim, a Deerling or a Sawsbuck, changing with the weather or the seasons. Sometimes I'm like a Deoxys, focusing on whatever strengths I have and need to utilize in order to protect myself and others.

And sometimes, I'm like an Eevee. I feel stuck and indecisive of what path I want to take, what future I want to work towards. There are so many options ahead of me but it feels like once I pick one, I have no way of going back.

But the point is to not be afraid of the change. Welcome it. Embrace it. Because you never know; it could bring good things along with it, things you've been needing.

Don't be a Cyrus and try to reshape the world into something that will hurt others. Be an N; try to understand others no matter how different they may seem and learn and grow from your mistakes. Be a Nurse Joy and provide the safe space people need on their journeys.

Be kind. And good luck out there, Trainers. The world can be a scary and dangerous place even without Pokémon in it. But at the same time, it can be more beautiful than we realize when our vision is narrowed by fear.

Emergency Ranger Contact Information

It's come to my attention that a lot of trainers aren't aware of the many helpful resources avaliable to trainers just starting out or veteran alike.

Ranger Radio

There is a public access radio station for all to hear regarding any public updates from your local Ranger Base.

This would include things like: Road Closures, Natural Disaster and evacuation updates, Wild Pokemon Outbreaks (usually of any aggressive species) and many other things.

The same information is on their website with access to the live broadcast as well.

This is perfect if you're traveling and don't have a good internet connection on your Rotom Phone or other digital devices, the radio's frequency is incredibly reliable outside of caves or underground situations.

Ranger Stations and Camp Sites

This is a much more well known tip but there are still unknown things about it as well.

There are small camping and rest stops on major trails that are safe places for trainers to rest, cook, sleep and even wait out serious weather.

Most of the areas are built to be used as outdoor campgrounds with a couple of covered bench areas for resting and sturdy bathroom areas, but what a lot of trainers are unaware of is that if trainers or a group of trainers are out while a big storm or severe weather is coming, the bathrooms and covered bench areas can be used as emergency shelters.

The bathrooms are well built, and have an emergency button that can be pressed and will activate a very visible blinking light and alert the communications at your local Ranger Base.

The Benched areas are a bit different as they don't have any walls at first, until you find the emergency lever which will lower the rolled up mental walla and activate the emergency lights.

It's a perfect place to stay safe until the storm passes or a ranger is able to assist.

Pokedex Hotline

This is one of the most unknown tips that is right in the open for all trainers.

Did you know that all PokeDex devices have ways to get you right in contact with a Pokemon Ranger in an emergency?

While most Rotom phones can contact emergency services automatically through the internet or phone services, there are rare instances where you can't do either, and that's where this tip comes in:

If you turn the Rotom phone over and tap the circle (face) over 7 times rapidly, it will send out an emergency broadcast rapidly until it is received by a scanning device.

Not only does the Rotom Phone do this, but all PokeDex devices made after the first generation of Dexs had similar features built in.

The first generation of devices didn't have any long range communication built in, but they did have a type of alarm that could be activated in emergencies instead.

These are just a few of the not well known emergency tools at your disposal on our journey.
